Oh what a fabulous experience at the Ashley store Town Center Morgantown We are from Knoxville TN and are in town for a month visiting family and we’re stressed about having enough time to order furniture for our home in TN and have in time for thanksgiving. We were looking for the extra pieces that our living room needed. I’m not good at interior decorating and Lauren Demus helped me so much. She brought end tables over to the chairs we were looking at to help me visualize. She talked through options and how different colors and items would fit in my space. We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture thanks to Shannon! She was super helpful, friendly, and most importantly — not pushy. She gave us space to look around but was there when we had questions. That kind of respectful approach really goes a long way, and because of that, we ended up buying a couch with her. Excellent service that more salespeople should follow. The only downside to the visit was at checkout — we had already said no to the warranty, but someone else at the front still gave us the whole sales pitch anyway. It felt unnecessary and honestly a bit condescending, especially when he tried to tell us our manual couch was belt-driven — which anyone familiar with recliners knows isn’t true (they’re spring-loaded). That part rubbed us the wrong way. Overall, Shannon made the visit worth it and we’re happy with our purchase. Just wish the checkout process had matched the same respectful tone.

And then how thorough he was about the mattress technology while talking us through the whole experience... Had I not just shlept my mattress across town, he would have made a mattress sale too!

I didn't feel like a paycheck that he was trying to get, he sincerely wanted to make sure I got a mattress that would give me good quality sleep and not break the bank. Adam D. The in-store experience was great. Everyone was very nice to us, which is to be minimally expected when giving someone money. I'm confident the couch will be great, too. The delivery will be 11 days late according to their current promise. It will be missing a portion of the order, and there is no ETA on when that portion will finally be delivered. Sales and management were responsive in my request to compensate for this failure with what ultimately amounted to a 3.7% discount on the total order. The salesman has gone to bat for us, and he is the only reason for the second star.

Having recently moved to the area, I was in need of several pieces of furniture for my new home. I had an idea of what I wanted and a budget to stick to. Lauren greeted me when I walked in and was beyond helpful in making suggestions based on what I told her I was looking for and the price range I wanted to stay in. The delivery is way longer than two weeks. Delivery date was suppose to be first week of March and just called the delivery dept, furniture will not be delivered until the 18th of march

Went in with my family to look at beds and a dresser for my kids, 3 salespeople(2 women, 1 man) were just sitting on the couches/chairs in the middle of the store and didn't bother to get out of their seat, nor greet us. The man working got up to move out of view as we approached. Walked out not purchasing anything and never will from Ashley Furniture, take your money elsewhere, where they will actually appreciate your business.

Let me start by saying I understand bad weather. It happens. I was scheduled for a delivery that was delayed due to a snow storm. Sure, that happens. After waiting 7 days for the rescheduled delivery date, they brought the truck within 100 feet of my house before they called and canceled the delivery. "Due to road conditions". However, they didn't have any trouble pulling a three point turn in their truck to leave the development... strange right? Another 7 days go by, another cancelation. This time with a gang of excuses the day prior even attempting the delivery....Josh, the delivery manager, may be the least helpful employee that has ever drawn a paycheck. He wants to shove reason after reason down your throat about why they can't help you. Michael likes to appear to help, but a mere 8% isn't really much of a compensation whenever you have been sleeping without a bed for 3 weeks with no end in sight. Now, they are threatening to "return my money" effectively leaving me to start the whole bed purchase/delivery situation from the beginning. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. DO NOT BUY HERE

Kevin, in particular, was super helpful with my wife and I. Gave us breathing room when we wanted it and attention when we needed it, even managed to sell me an add on piece that my wife is now in love with. The entire interaction and process was a pleasure, and I look forward to shopping here again soon in the future.

I had a flood in my House-in April..& had already ordered A Beautiful Bedroom Suite from Lauren @ Ashley’s prior to flood. Had to put delivery on hold for 3 mo. Went there Monday to find a mattress and couldn’t be happier with the way everything went. We went in there looking for a specific mattress but didn’t know the style of it. Serena took the time to help us find it. She didn't have to keep looking for us but she did. We didn’t end up getting that one because they didn't make the size we needed but got a purple instead. A lot of people will just try to get the sale but she didn’t. She was friendly, patient, and helped in any way she can. I can say they care about their customers. Went out to explore some options on a couch and found a couch and loveseat set we liked. Our sales person Bryce was above EVERY expectation I have for customer service and that should not possible because I have trained with no less than 617 Karen’s. From the moment he introduced himself and asked to help, to when he showed up Delivery day and saved my cat from the bears and my dog from the fire he has been an asset I never imagined I’d have in my life. We love the couch loveseat AND coffee table. (He worked with us a bit on the numbers and yes he’s good, I’ve said that.) The delivery team was amazing as well. Never seen a man eat 6lbs of cardboard before that day, but as promised they cleaned up after themselves and left no mess, no damage, and very little fear of follow up dinosaur. There was a slight mix up and they delivered the wrong coffee table the first day but Bryce managed to throw one (undamaged!) from the store to my house in one try a few days later so I have zero complaint and a lot of awe. 10/10 would eat here again.

My first experience buying furniture that had everything I want and wasn't a hand me down or bought used. Everyone was friendly. Our Salesman, Cody was very nice and easy to talk to. I waited almost a month for my new matress an frame to come in an when it got here i didn’t realize i paid $400 for a very very. Very cheap bed not to mention they new it was cheap when they sent. Only 3 little very thin pieces of board for under the bed an sent cheap plastic legs to support the cheap wood by day to the cheap plastic leg broke . So now i have to go buy new stuff to fix my bed bc i have only have had this bed for 4 days an day 2 it was broke an im not gonna send it back an not have a bed at all to get it fixed . So i have to say im very unsatisfied withe the bed frame an i reccomend saving your $400 instead of a couple pieces of twig frame . Not a happy customer an will no longer buy from ashleys

Horrible customer service.... “Supply Chain issues”. ....What a joke. Customer service is another issue. 0 follow up. Expect to wait 6 months or more for furniture. 12-16 .... 16-20..... oh you should definitely have your furniture before Christmas to it’s going to be after Christmas. Will never order anything from Ashley Furniture Store or the owners of the Ashley stores (Star Furniture).

Ask for Aimee. She helped us by truthfully educating and explaining the products. She never tried to sell us on anything, but she tailored everything to what we actually needed. After the sale her communication was 5 Star. She updated us all the time about our delivery dates without even being asked. She is the best!

I have been working with Aimee since May and I am always updated on the status of the furniture that I have ordered. I know that things are delayed due to Covid, but I receive updates from Aimee frequently letting me know the status of my order. If you're looking for a customer service backed experience, this is not the store. Michael the manager leads a merry band of zero follow-up staff. I have worked harder than my salesperson in following up month after month. I should have paid myself the commission. If you think it can't be that bad, run If Lauren tries to "help" you. I understand the shortage caused by the pandemic. There is no excuse for poor customer service and follow up.

Ashley furniture will sell you products as in stock that they haven't even received from the manufacturer. The products are typically decent, if you ever receive them. Short version: If you want a piece of furniture, order it at least a month in advance, even if it's in stock, and expect to get it even later than that.

Earlier today I did not think I would be writing a good review, I had not heard any communication about a couch I purchased a little over a month ago and was told it would be in within 6 weeks. I called customer service to check on the status and they said it was on back order and would not be delivered until August 5th. Needless to say I was a little frustrated with the lack of communication since I had scheduled a pick up for my old couch for tomorrow and realized I would not have anything in my living room for over a month. Note: had I known it was going to take that long I wouldn’t had ordered that specific couch. But I called this location directly and the manager, Lauren, was incredible. Initially I wanted a refund and to take my business elsewhere. But Lauren listened to my story and instead of basically saying “tough luck” she asked my preferences for size, color, chaise location, etc. and said she would call back with some different options. She called back within 30 minutes and sent me a few different options. She ended up finding a couch that was slightly bigger and exactly the color I was looking for without any extra charge, and one that was in stock and could be here ASAP. That couch is now shipping out next week! Lauren was extremely kind, helpful, understanding and efficient. Within 2 hours the problem was solved, with no work on my end. I would definitely recommend this location being ran under her management! Great problem solving skills.

I am not normally someone to write poor reviews but the customer service as this location is just sad. I called yesterday to see if they had an item in stock at this location. The sales rep, did walk to the floor to confirm they had it was available. I was told they would price match because I found the item online for a better price, including whatever shipping was. I told them the price I found it for online and that shipping was free, I was told this was not a problem and they would be able to match. I was also told that the floor model was available for purchase if we would want to consider that. This location is an hour drive from where I live so carved out time just to drive there and get this coffee table today. We found the coffee table quickly and asked for the sales associate that I spoke with on the phone. We waited so long for him I asked someone else to help us, she spoke with us for a minute then left, the manager came over and said he would assist, but that ended quickly as well. The the sales associate we asked for finally came over but he kept saying "I'll be right back". The things that were said on the phone did not match what we were being told in the store, but again this was very little as everyone kept walking away from us with unanswered questions. We ended up being at the store for 45 minutes, just to be told that they couldnt sell us the floor model, they couldn't price match that they could only give us 10% off (which was no where near the price I found the item for online) and was told that if they shipped it it would be $159 because of how far we live, BUT in reality they CAN'T have it shipped to us because of how far we live. So the only thing they could do was have it shipped to the store and we would have to make another trip back to pick it up. Oh and when I spoke to the sales rep on the phone I made it clear that I was making a long drive, and in store we were asked by 3 different employees what our zip code was for shipping purposes, I including the manager, so they were aware of how far we drive our of our way. I was lied to about price matching and the floor model being available just to get me in the store. Once in the store I was given the run around just to be given disappointing news, and information that did not match what was said the day before on the phone. I wasted 3 hours of my day for this... and they let us walk out of the store annoyed and with nothing because they would rather be dishonest and waste people's time. Do not waste your time, they are only out to help themselves, and do not care about customer satisfaction. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE!!

Adam was such a great person to work with he showed me what might be the most comfortable, sat down with me, listened to the specifications I was looking for. My visit was beyond my expectations. Christen took the time to help us find each piece of furniture and had patience with us even though we were so indecisive and made sure we were offered the best price possible. I will definitely be going back for all of my future furniture needs!

Love the store. Our sales associate was great. She gave us some options and was really great with giving us time to look around some as well. I liked the Bedroom suit I ended up selecting. Six piece which included the headboard, footboard, rails, dresser, mirror and night stand. Three colors to choose from gray, cherry and light brown and they all were beautiful. They had a lot nice selections and lots of good deals. Would recommend the Ashley Furniture Store in Morgantown to anyone looking to buy any types of furniture.

Gina Gearde did an exceptional job in helping me order a power sectional sofa via telephone. I found it online and knew sale ends Monday and with the snow storm coming I could not travel from PA to WV today. Since your store did not have one on the floor. Gina made the ordering go so smoothly and stress free. She texted me a photo of the sectional with details so everything is correct. We are extremely satisfied with the smooth transaction and the knowledge of the product and ordering Gina has. It made everything so easy for us! I am so happy I called back on Friday 1/18 ,because my husband called there and the previous saleswomen wasn't as helpful.She hung up on him while he was getting paper to write the phone number down on, so he could send a photo of what he wanted. I was glad Gina answered my call. Gina explained everything and we were happy we could use our credit card to purchase the sofa before sale ends. She saved us a drive from Mt.Pleasant PA to WV in a snow storm . I am so pleased that our sofa is ordered now and that Gina was able to make that happen for us, and so stress free!

We have had such a fantastic experience with Ashley Homestore! We have ordered a sectional couch and now our bed frame. Their employees are so helpful! Some items are ridiculously priced

This store has better priced options than the Charleston one. After moving to Morgantown from Charleston we weren’t sure about Ashley but decided to get a couch there after visiting this location. Much better priced options and they work with you to give you the best price possible! They will even match online prices which is what we did. Nice and patient staff too. Overall a good experience for first time couch buyers.

My husband and I have a small rental home. We move around with his job and wanted a new couch and loveseat. I recently purchased a chaise lounge from this store for Christmas and have thus far loved it. As anyone reading this knows, trying to get a new home furniture set can be wuite pricey and I was operating on a limited budget, but the salesman, Nathan, was incredibly helpful and presented numerous options within my price range. I never felt rushed or as if I had to make a new purchase that day at the peril of losing a great bargain. The item was ready for pickup a few days later and assembly in my home by myself took no time at all.

We were very crunched for time to move and furnish our new home, literally having no furniture. Gina made our experience great. She was very helpful through the whole process. We were able to find an entire bedroom set, a dining set, and an accent table with her help. The staff was super friendly and accommodating when helping us load everything in our uhaul. Would never buy furniture there again. They tell you about the 10 year warranty but couch cushions broke down with in a year but they say that’s normal ware not under warranty

Typical mid range furniture store with very confusing style of service

Thought I finally found what I was looking for. Was quickly delivered & as soon as the first piece was brought into my house I know it wasn’t going to fit. Called the store & the piece was put back on the truck & returned with no questions. Then the manager had the furniture taken off the bill & it was like I never purchased it. NO Hassles, NO Problem. Ashley’s wanted me to be happy & satisfied. I will continue looking at Ashley’s until I find something that will work for me.

My family and I came into the store looking to buy a new couch for our home. We were immediately greeted by Emily as soon as we walked in the store. She was very friendly and eager to help us find exactly what we were looking for that night. One of the first questions she asked our price range which we thought was awesome!! We are the type of family that will take the time to look around, but not for something over our budget. Emily walked us around the store throughout our visit. She was very patient and was able to answer every question we had. I am in customer service as well for over a decade now, and Emily was truly wonderful to work with. We really enjoyed our time in your store and was able to find a BEAUTIFUL new couch to add to our home. We definitely went home happy!! Our new wrap around will be in our home next week. Our salesperson Lauren was great!!! Very professional and knowledgeable on all furniture. She was very patient in our selection process, took time to help us find the best pieces for our home!!! One of the best experiences we had in shopping for items for our new home!!! We went in for a living room suit (couch, chairs, loveseat) and because of her we ended up purchasing coffee and end tables, the dining room table and chairs as well as the complete bedroom suit. We love the furniture that completed our home!!! We'll be back soon once the Mrs. can make up her mind on rugs lol. Great experience from a wonderful salesperson!!!

From the moment we entered the store it was a pleasant experience. The customer service was spectacular. I traveled from PA to this particular store because I wanted to see a piece of furniture in person. I had a closer store to me but this store was knowledgeable and helpful. I visited and the team specifically Lauren was so helpful. I didn't make the purchase because I needed to gather measurements and she worked through the process with me over the phone! I purchased and communication continued keeping me abreast of delivery time frame. The furniture arrived and fit perfect. I will visit again if furniture is ever needed. Could not say more about the product(amandine sectional) or the wonderful wonderful customer service! I can also speak to the price and quality I purchased furniture from Ashley's 10 years ago and have four kids and a dog and it has stood the text of time. And I believe my new piece will as well. Against other stores the prices are comparable

We couldn't be happier with our recent sectional purchase from this Ashley HomeStore. Most of this credit goes to our salesperson, Lauren; she was absolutely amazing and I only have great things to say about her. I originally called this store looking for a different sectional which had been back ordered everywhere and Lauren recommended a very similar sectional for us to look at. I was dead set on the original one we wanted but didn't want to wait months for it so I figured we'd at least give her recommendation a shot. I'd also like to point out that this whole transaction was done over the phone and through texting due to our busy schedule and strong desire to find a sectional very quickly (Lauren even texted me pictures of the display sectional in the store to give me a better feel for the color). We ended up loving her recommendation of the Amandine and ordered it over the phone with her on a Tuesday and set up for delivery on Saturday (only 3 days after ordering!). Unfortunately, our location was outside of their delivery area but Lauren worked her magic and found a way for us to get the sectional delivered to our home since we were in such a hurry to get it. The delivery guys were AMAZING as well! They were prompt and extremely helpful in helping my boyfriend get everything set up also. The couch itself is wonderful; it's extremely comfortable but still a bit firm so as not to sink. which is exactly what we were looking for. The color is perfect and seems that it won't show dirt which is great considering we have 3 dogs. It seems very sturdy and built well (which is the biggest issue we've had in the past with our couches; being built very lousy). It's very scary to make such a big purchase sight and comfort unseen but Lauren made the whole process very easy and put my mind at ease. Please do not hesitate to visit this store and make sure you ask for Lauren, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Not our thing. When we learned that you had to wait almost a month to get anything... Maybe good for some, just not us.

From start to finish my husband and I had the best experience with this location and the sales representative. We felt intimidated in other furniture stores, as we were often bombarded by a sales person and didn't really know where to start in achieving our desired look. The sales representative went above and beyond helping us - even taking a tape measure to help us visualize how the furniture would size up in the room. We were made to feel like a priority and less like "just another sale". If you are looking for a simple and easy furniture experience, I highly recommend this location.

Terrible customer service., The girl who showed up furniture had a bad attitude and acted like we were a bother to her. After agreeing upon a stand, she told us it was not available for pick up and had to be ordered. She promised it would be in, in 2 weeks. Well 4 weeks later we are still waiting for it. Delivery is outrageous at 150.00, after just paying a grand for something you would think it would be free. They lie flat out.

Absolutely atrocious store. DO NOT bother purchasing furniture from this business!!! Here's their story. My father ordered a $1400 dinning table 3 weeks ago for our family and after not receiving it the fourth week he went into the store to figure out why they haven't delivered it to our home. The customer service representative told him there was no way that she could look up the problem because the computer system was down. After my father asked to speak to the manager the same exact computer the customer service representative was standing at and stated wasn't working somehow, magically worked. Then the manager told him that it wasn't even shipped from the warehouse. She didn't apologize, and said she could somehow try to get the the table shipped within 2 days but there we no guarantee. My dad refused the offer and wanted his money refunded. Apparently Morgantown's Ashley furniture store has bouncers because some guy was threatening to throw my father out of the store after he demanded a refund. After my father threatened to report them to the business bureau they agreed to give him his refund. Since he paid with card the manager said she needed his card to refund the amount back to his account. After several minutes and several swipes later they said they couldn't refund him his money. After the eighth swipe it finally worked. Needless to say the employees have no idea what they're doing and they have poor customer service.

Do NOT buy anything from them!! They claim to be a christian store but if you're unhappy with ANYTHING from your purchase, they act like anything BUT christian!! Cheaply made items that don't last and HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service after the sale, trust me, look elsewhere!!!

The ONLY positive thing I can say is my sales person was AWESOME!! We bought a very nice table and chair set for our kitchen. It was around $1700. Within 2 days of receiving this set 1 chair had a leg fall off. I looked and noticed the mounting holes for the screws were stripped. Then I check the 3 other chairs and 2 more have the exact same leg horribly loose. If I would have looked closer at the build style I would never have bought these chairs. I was told but the sales lady that this was one of their top and best built sets. We called them and informed them we wanted replacements, but we had to wait multiple days until their warranty guy could come look at the chairs to say "yep they are broken" and order replacements. Well ordering the replacements took a good bit of time. Then when calling to follow up on the chairs I was told twice they were not in even though we were told they should be in by a certain day. When the chairs did come in we were told they could not be delivered the next day....in fact not till the following week. We have family coming in this weekend and no where to sit and eat. It took multiple calls to the store...speaking to an assistant manager and the main manager to even be told that I could get my chairs delivered before this weekend. By that time I was DONE....TOO MANY CALLS to get these chairs resolved. This leaves me with ZERO confidence in their warranty and if we have more issues with the set. We have had this set for 2 months and not used it ONCE! To top it all off they left the broken chairs at our house and I was told they would not take them until the new set comes....What the heck!!! The one chair only has 3 legs and will not stand without leaning against the table. If you brush it when walking past it falls HARD on the floor. I also have a 5 year old and it has been a nightmare trying to keep him off the 3 broken chairs so he doesn't get hurt. I am DONE with Ashley and will take my money elsewhere!
