Ashley Store & Outlet Janesville, WI

Our bed was delivered and assembled on November 27th, 2025. It collapsed almost 2 months later on January 25th, 2026. I contacted the store and the associate was apologetic and said he would try to authorize a refund that day or the next. I texted photos of the defects while I was on the phone with him, but I didn't get a response until the third day. I did not get a phone call, just a text that said that they can't approve a refund, and that they would send replacement parts within 2-3 weeks. I said I was not comfortable attempting to sleep on another defective bed frame, but my response was ignored and I got a shipping notification instead of a response. This bed is held together by staples and glue. The replacement parts are the same construction. The slats have no center beam to connect for support. There are three little legs, one by the headboard, one in the middle, and one by the footboard. They are unstable, and do not stay vertical to hold anything up. I tried reaching out to Ashley corporate, but they said they couldn't help me because the Janesville location is a licensed location, which is confusing because we ordered the bedroom set from the website while we were in the store. Imagine paying $800 for something you had for 2 months, it completely falls apart, and the company saying they can't return it because it's "used" and past the 24 HOUR return window.

I was at my wits’ end searching for furniture and dreading walking into yet another store, only to leave overwhelmed and empty‑handed—especially with the holiday season approaching. She asked all the right questions and truly listened as I went back and forth trying to figure out the look and feel I wanted for my living room. Mary Kate took on the heavy lifting, removed all the stress from the process, and helped me find the perfect couch and living room furniture to create a relaxing space. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely puts in the effort to help you get exactly what you’re looking for, I can’t recommend her enough!

Chris was so patient while trying various mattresses to find my fit. He was knowledgeable about every one, describing all the options and letting me be the one to tell him which one was the best fit.

Trent and Bo were great! I have never bought a couch before and made the mistake of not measuring my living room before purchasing the couch (what do they say? "I'm just a girl").. anyways, the two gentlemen were helpful in moving a couple of things around to make it fit perfectly! 10/10 recommend these two!

We were very pleased with the service we got from Natasha! She was very welcoming and never pushy. Let us roam the store freely and was able to answer any questions we had. The piece we wanted to look at was not on the floor so she contacted us when it came in. We will certainly do business with Ashley again. Nice to know it is employee owned too. Got a couch paid a good price for the couch and warranty. My husband sat down fell into couch cuz boards broke warranty said it was normal wear now I have a busted 3 yr old couch. Bought a coffee table same time, that turned out to be pressed wood soaked up 1 missed water spill swelled and fell apart in a year. It's just expensive cheap stuff.

Chris was wonderful when we had stopped in to potentially purchase a sofa. He seemed knowledgeable and personable. After we received our sofa, we had a couple of minor issues with the purchase price and the chaise end of the furniture. Chris encouraged us to contact him with any issues, so we did. He resolved the issue with the price promptly. Cool! As far as the chaise end of the furniture, we hadn't heard back from him when we messaged. Unfortunately, days later, we had to reach back out again asking if we needed to contact Ashley directly, since we wanted our issue resolved. His reply back was vague and different from our wonderful initial experience we had with him. Unfortunately, we feel as though the sale was most important and not the follow-up service as well. That's really too bad. This wasn't the experience we anticipated, after the sale. Great furniture. Helpful during the pick out process. Meh after the sale.

Furniture shopping made enjoyable. “Sher-bear” is a great host, helps make furniture shopping less overwhelming. And he has awesome cats!

The delivery guys were 10 plus. Five stars. Buying it was a little hectic that's a three stars what my main problem is at the end. When the furniture arrived there was no directions. They literally put the stuff in the snow because you don't pay $200. That's ridiculous it's brand new furniture just cuz you don't pay that's ridiculous. You call the store you can't get any help. You asked him to email you a picture they didn't do it. They send me the service nobody answered even after I put my phone number in. Was a great experience to start with a horrible experience to end I probably won't go back

BEWARE!!! Went in to look at bed frames with drawers. The sales guy immediately started hounding me about what I wanted, and following me through the store. After looking at two bed frames he started pressuring me about all the deals he could make. He had an entire catalog of ways to up-charge and sell every piece of one frame separately. I mistakenly gave him my phone number and address thinking I might buy something. Upon further inspection of the frames I realized they were broken. The drawers wouldn’t shut right. And everything was made of particle board( aka prone to warping ). Sure it was a floor model so you could expect some damage. But this is a perfect example of what it would look like for me after a few months of use. And for 2000$ that’s a rip-off. So I kindly refused and went to leave. He chased me out the door telling I will never get a deal like this. Complementing my dorky work uniform. I was less then 5min outside, and he started texting me trying to use my own words against me. I ended up going to the furniture store across the street where the had high quality, wi made furniture. since then I get about six scam calls a day and I believe they sold my info to the telemarketers.

Fantastic experience at Ashley Furniture in Janesville! Shopping for furniture was a breeze, and the sales were absolutely amazing. My wife found a beautiful sectional at an unbeatable price. The staff were super helpful too!

Savanna was the greatest. But if you want to hear about the shop it is awesome. you also get to test out as many beds as you want, they are super patient and non-rushing. I recommend coming here than any other bed or furniture store far or near.

Great experience, we bought a couch on Sunday and it was delivered on Thursday morning, everyone in the store was easy to work with from Ezequel the sales member to John and Zack the delivery drivers. Very professional and quick, they put the couch together and made sure everything was clean and in order before leaving.

LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE ZERO STARS. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, MISERABLE AND PATHETIC CUSTOMER SUPPORT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. IN STORE AND THEIR CENTRAL SUPPORT. Bought a swivel reclining chair from them in January 2025. The cord to the swivel n recliner ripped off in a few weeks after purchase. First instance they just gave me an extension cord which helped solve the reclining problem but the chair won't swivel. Called them again bringing the problem to their attention. Was told some parts will be sent to fix the issue. A month later when the technician came to fix it he was expecting the parts to be directly shipped to me but to everybody's surprise I was told they were not even shipped. Another 3 weeks go by parts arrive and the technician came and was told that it's the wrong part. 22nd April TUESDAY was the third time them trying to fix the problem. The repair guys don't even take time to figure out what the problem is, I insisted and helped them to finally do some effort on trying to figure out THE ACTUAL PROBLEM. Now I was in no mood to fixing the problem but needed a replacement which I requested to their MISERABLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I was told that the matter was under review and they will call me with an answer. Never heard back from them until Friday so I called again and again their PATHETIC CUSTOMER CARE had no answer and was told in latest by Tuesday will have an answer. Haven't heard from anybody until today May 5th. So I called them again and to my surprise no decision had been taken and they will get back to me by end of business today. Finally got a call that they have ordered parts and I have to wait 4 more weeks for the part to arrive. May 30th is when it is supposedly going to get fixed. They declined to replace my chair. Went to the store to talk with the manager MIKE but he has no authority to take a decision of replacement. He offered to replace my faulty chair with the in store on display chair but they never offered to deliver/swap the chairs out as a courtesy. That if I choose then I have to do it myself. CUDOS CUSTOMER SERVICE. AFTER 4 MONTHS OF PATIENTLY WAITING FOR THEM TO FIX MY PROBLEM THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO EVEN OFFER ME A COURTESY SWAP OUT FROM THE STORE & MY HOUSE. When I asked what of if the problem is still not resolved by MAY 30th. No answer, CANT EVEN PROMISE TO GIVE A REPLACEMENT FORGET ABOUT DOING ANYTHING OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE AN ANGRY CUSTOMER HAPPY. FIRST AND LAST TIME MAKING A PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY. THEY ARE A JOKE WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. And by JOKE means putting it VERY VERY MILDLY.

I had Devon, Brandon and Jessie come to my home on a Sunday to deliver furniture. The boys setup everything and ALSO helped me move around old items to make things work perfectly for the setup today. Edit 4: 9-17 - Missed a month, sorry. Last delivery date was 9-14. No update this time so I called to ask about it. New delivery date is 10-19. The other option is we could take the floor/display rug. No thanks, we'd rather just have a new one. Will update in a month again. About to hit the 1 year mark! Edit 3: 7-14 - I feel like they're just trolling at this point. New delivery date is 8/17. Which just means we wait another month, to again be told to wait another month. Edit 2: 5/20 - got an email a week ago that the rug won't be delivered to the store for another month (maybe). Great job guys. Edit 1 for owners reply: "Please reach out to us directly so we can address your concerns". We have. As in, I have personally spent a combined 8+ hours, probably over 10 hours, between phone calls and in store visits. Not including the time my wife has spent dealing with it. Over a $300 rug lol. There's not much left to be said here. ------------- Original Review ------ 6+ months to get an area rug. One problem after another. 10/10 would never recommend this store or this company again. We have spent more time in hours than what this rug is worth at this point. The wife went in today and spent an hour dealing with this situation (mistake after mistake on their part), and we will now patiently wait another 6 weeks for the expected delivery date. Maybe expedite the order for the inconvenience and retain a customer. I guess it's not important unless you're making a fat commission, like when we bought a mattress and bedroom set, dining room set, and sectional couch. Time to find somewhere else to shop after this experience.

I wouldn't give them one star if I could. We bought a chair. It has been used for 6 months and it has a very large gap in the back. Large enough to lose a pillow in. They want to charge me for a tech to come out, then won't guarantee that they will fix the problem. I have a chair i bought from another furniture store and it is 8 years old and has NO gap in the back . This is sad sad. Please don't buy from Ashley, they don't stand behind there furniture..

We had 2 deliveries this past week. All of our delivery people were fantastic both deliveries. Took extra care in placing the furniture items in our home, helped us with a return of a stained piece of furniture and the delivery team who brought the replacement piece of furniture helped me check it before they placed it in our home.

When I finally decided on my super comfy, "relax and read a book" recliner, I had a window of time designated to pick it up and get it home. Ultimately, we returned to Ashley to make our purchase. Zach was professional, down-to-earth, incredibly patient, and truly understanding of our needs. We’ve been shopping for months, and Ashley stood out for having the best prices and exceptional service. I typically avoid big-box stores, but the price match and personalized assistance made it worth it. We purchased two sofas, a loveseat, and a mattress—both the loveseat and mattress weren’t even on our original list, but the deals were too good to pass up. Delivery is scheduled within a week, and we’re already planning to return for a bedroom set soon! Highly recommend this location for both the value and outstanding customer service.

Only found out when I called to see when I might expect delivery. Since my info was not updated, I never got calls/email/text to confirm my delivery date. Zach was super helpful and friendly. Zach was able to explain all of the options for financing and delivery options as well as the protection program for furniture. Always lots of great options at Ashley. Truly appreciate the service.

I will never shop Ashley Furniture again! My couch arrived after 2 months (I was accommodating with to their shipping and busy schedule), then it arrived with a tear. Had to schedule a repair appointment. Then the zippers on cushions broke within the first 2-3 months. I was able to fix one of them. The tv stand started to ‘bow’ after 2-3 months with absolutely NO weight limits listed. Made several phone calls and was transferred to SEVERAL departments a hundred times! Lots of mixed answers and absolutely nothing resolved! Very, very disappointing, especially for a single mom on a single income and finally being able to afford new furniture after more than 15 years! Quality and customer service is horrible!
