Very bad experience at this store. The employees do not care about your loyalty or value your well-being as a customer. A store that doesn't stand behind it's products and only cares about trying to get you to leave with the most expensive item that has the least reliability and quality made product. The management team is trained to be the biggest con artists out there and lie to you, the customer, so you'll trust their input and believe they are actually care about you coming back. Bought a mattress from here a year and a half ago, was not informed it had no warranty or sleep guarantee till 3 months after I had the mattress so basically stuck with it. Even if mattresses are not their main selling product, you as a retail store should stand behind it and want to have your customer return to buy more from you. Will not be coming back here again or shopping at any Ashley furniture store or online.

I was greeted at the door by Tony. I knew what I was looking for so he led me in the right direction. He didn’t pressure me and allowed me to look around on my own. When I found something of interest I asked him some questions and told him this was my first place looking and can’t make a decision yet. He was very nice and understood. I went to three other places. Next day I stopped in to try the chair out again and told him I had to compare one more time. Tony was very patient with me and understood. I came back and purchased the chair. I was very pleased that I was not pressured. Thank you Tony.

Dylan was really awesome to work with! I’ve been looking at a couch for awhile and he made the entire process very easy and treated my mom and I like long time friends and family. He was very knowledgeable and very personable to work with. Even helped my mom find a table that really fits our large family. Definitely can’t recommend Dylan enough! :)

We were greeted warmly by staff and my daughter asked to speak with Dylan. Dylan was so easy to deal with and very knowledgeable with the products. He made the entire process easy and enjoyable. They have such a large selection of high quality furniture and other products at reasonable prices. Dylan was able to help my daught and I find the perfect piece suitable for our homes. A couch for her living room and a dinning room set for my dinning room.

Very pleasant experience working with Tony the first day and Dylan the 2nd day. They made the process of purchasing our new table, chairs and bench simple and smooth. I was at the store 2 different days looking and deciding what I wanted to buy and had a short amount of time to make my decision. They both worked with me to accommodate my schedule and I walked out the door a very satisfied customer and will be back again.

Once again, the service at Ashley was fantastic. I didn’t even have to go into the store! For someone who is incredibly busy being able to make a purchase via text is amazing. Thank you to Kimberly and the rest of the associates who helped make this purchase process fast and easy!

Ike was a pressure-free, huge help to our search for a new mattress. We came in just for that but ended up loving a bedroom set that he helped us figure out how to bundle everything together into a budget that we were comfortable with. He was also a great help when I returned a few days later for some additional home decor items. Hopefully he’s in the next time we come in so he can help us with any future home needs

I cannot recommend Ashley Furniture anymore. Justin, our salesman (also the sales manager) and he was absolutely amazing, informative, and overall just a huge pleasure to do business with. I was met at the door with a associate from the store. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture that I was looking for. He let me know this particular fabric for the cushion on the chair was washable. That sold me. I brought the complete set.

Went in looking for my first couch, and Dylan was quick to help us with exactly what we needed! He was very professional, thorough, and direct, and demonstrated an exceptionally friendly and positive attitude. I highly recommend him for any assistance you require! I'm yet waiting on the couch, so I can't give any details regarding that in this review, but assuming all goes well, I will definitely be back!

They get commission. They tell you "you'll be taken care of" once they get your money they don't care about you & pass the buck to corporate. They use a third party to deliver. My issue was I ordered by phone after looking on line and paid for delivery. Its cheaper online. The delivery guys seemed to be in a hurry but had nothing to deliver that day. I didn't get to look the recliner over very well and felt pressured. They left after being here not even 10 min & I noticed the furniture wasn't going to match. I called instantly, they could've only been 5 Miles away, but was told they couldn't turn around. I called the store they were of no help. I had to call the main number again & they told me no refunds. They issued me a credit so I hope the chair I get matches. They're not charging me for anything extra to deliver. Prices seem reasonable. Order online and get a better deal. You can have them wait outside then refuse the order so you get a refund. Dont sign anything or be pressured. If you like it then that's great. This recliner is ok but my experience was not. Great price too. Its ashame the altoona store lies to their customers. If you have trouble getting refunded report it to the attorney generals office. UPDATE:Their products aren't made in USA. I was told they were and found a tag saying product of Vietnam. I called the store and got hung up on by a salesman. They are our 1st source of communication and they lie.never again.

Recently purchased a new kitchen table set with chairs, kids bedroom items, and rocking chair for the infant room. The chairs in the kitchen did not work out, rock hard cushions, wanted to return the same day that they arrived... Well they have no return policy, so beware! Spent almost 3k but can't return a few chairs, they offered me store credit...for what? More garbage? Do yourself a favor and go to Park furniture or Levin, better people all around. When i called, got one of the doc operators acting like he was the CEO of Ashley, icing on the cake... Show up for the out of business liquidation. MIGHT GET SOME DEALS THEN!

Not thrilled with Ashley. I bought all my furniture at Ashley in North Carolina..had no problems. They worked with me on price and delivery. Altoona? Not so much. The issues are too many to list right now, and I'd just say I wouldn't recommend Ashley.

Just a pleasure from beginning to end

About 5 yrs ago we made a very large purchase of furniture from Ashley's over 15k. Ofcourse we got the extended warranties in all of it. We were were told it never expires and if we dont use it within the warranty period we get all that.money back as credit to use anytime we like when buying more furniture. I had accumulated approx $960+ i could use in credits this Labor day I decided to get my grandson a storage beds frame full size for his room. Went to Ashley's of Altoona they had one on the floor I wanted but to my surprise I couldn't get the Labor Day sale price of $1079, I had to pay the retail price of $1399. All due because they were not "allowed" to stack credits with sale items. I was also told they are completely different from the onine store. After I explained I received the credit from his store in altoona not online and the $100 in gift cards I was using was for them damaging my bed I purchased a few yrs ago. I was told by the manager the BEST they could do is give me the bed at retail and apply all my credit to it which with tax cam out to roughly $550 i had to pay. I did get it for 1 yr no intrest though. But I was very disappointed i couldn't get the sale price. And never was i told when i first purchased the maintenance warranties 5 yrs ago you couldn't stack them or use them on sale items. May have to look for another furniture store for future purchaces.

Great customer service! I needed a rocking chair for my daughter in law for in her nursery. She is delivering in 3 days, we didn't have time to wait to order one. Our salesman talked to his manager and allowed us to purchase one off the sales floor. This helped us out tremendously. Plus, since it's Labor Day weekend we got 20% off sale. That helped a lot. My daughter in law was so happy when we bought it home and gave it to her, she was crying. Thank you so much!

Salesman (Addison) was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to purchase a recliner chair and get it today...he made it happen!!

I was going to go to Levin like I have every other time I bought furniture but saw something I liked a little better at Ashley. The furniture is nice but I can tell it isn't going to last like the Flexsteel couch I bought from Levin (or actually Wolf Furniture at the time), I'll maybe get 3-4 good years out of it because it is cheaply made. The major problem was they use a 3rd party delivery service so they aren't liable if the delivery drivers damage your property & my driveway was damaged. Levin has their own trucks so I would recommend going there instead because the quality of the furniture is better & they have way better customer service. We were scheduled for between 9-11 am delivery 2nd stop of the day. We got our old couch hauled away that morning & all of a sudden our delivery kept getting pushed back. 9-11 turned into 12-2, then 3-5, then 5-7, I texted their customer service & told them I have been waiting around all day, had to cancel my plans & have no furniture to sit on, only hardwood floors. They assured me that the furniture would be delivered by 7 pm. The delivery drivers didn't show up until almost 9 pm & gouged my driveway badly. I called Ashley's customer service & they said they could only refund $150 of the $350 delivery fee. In the meantime, the driveway damage will cost $500 minimum to fix. They told me they would report the damages to the third party delivery company & their insurance should cover it. I submitted photos, I told them I had proof that I just paid $1000 to recoat my driveway about a month prior, I called to get an estimate, and before I could even get the written estimate to submit to them they said they were not going to cover the repairs because they did not feel we had enough proof. Look at the pictures! How is that not enough proof??? I will 100% never buy any furniture from Ashley ever again. I'll just stick with Levin because I have never had a problem and their furniture is way better quality. Also, I paid cash for the furniture, so just FYI for anyone buying furniture, whether you have the cash or not, go with the financing because had I went with the financing, I could have called the finance company to dispute that there was damages during delivery & by law the finance company would require Ashley to make it right or they would have refunded my money. Protect yourself and go with the financing so that in case they damage your property you have leverage. Lesson learned. EDIT: They responded to this review with the same BS - read the review Ashley, I did file a claim which was denied. And Ashley takes no accountability for the deliveries but it is the company they choose to deal with. Go to a company like Levin that has their own delivery drivers & who takes accountability for the people they work with. Ashley does not care as long as they have your money and can pass the blame. I have this on camera, I think I may go to the Attorney General's office.

We recently visited Ashley for a sectional. We went in one evening, chose the set we were interested in and returned the next day to take advantage of sale. When we got there and looked at the model we chose we realized the floor models didn't fit our needs and after changing our minds and chosing several different sets, calculating pricing for all of them in different configurations, we finally found the perfect fit for our family. Our sales associate Alyssa was very helpful and extremely patient with us through all the changes and indecisiveness. Her manager, John was very helpful with all the financing questions we had. The workers are nice and they all have great customer service. They listened to what I was looking for and price I wanted to pay. Second time I bought from this store and had a good experience each time.

They do not stand behind their product. My brand new dining room table, the veneer on the side of the table, is bubbling, and then it started to crack and pealing. Obviously, this is a problem with the manufacturing of the table, it isn't adhered properly on the said of the table. A few months after we got the table, we went to the store about the issue, and I was told to submit it to warranty. I submitted to the warranty, and they told me it isn't covered under their warranty! So I reached out to Ashley's again! And they are refusing to stand behind their product! They said it can't be fixed and it requires a new table, but they refuse to replace it! I am beyond upset about this issue. It is unacceptable. Even more so because we don't even have the table paid off yet.

Found what we wanted! Jessica and Justin both took time to explain all the different details of the recliners. It was during their sale and it turned out to be the right price as well as all the bells and whistles that we required. We appreciated their no pressure attitudes and the time they took to help us think through all the different questions that we had during the selection process!

We saw an ad for Ashley Furniture’s Veteran’s Day sale and then found a living room set that we liked online. After calling to see if they had the set on the store’s floor so we could see how it felt, we drove over an hour and ended up buying even more than we came for! Several people assisted us - Justin did the initial legwork, answering a lot of my questions, Tony took care of us in the store, and Anastashia helped us with a delivery-scheduling issue and truly went above and beyond to make is happy! We feel that the prices were very good and are confident that we’ll be happy with quality. Well-worth the hour long drive!

Ashley Furniture is the absolute worst retailer I have ever dealt with. Ashley furniture delivered damaged furniture to my home in October and it’s been a nightmare ever since. Ashley Furniture wanted to submit the damage to my warranty, but I refused because brand new furniture shouldn’t be arriving to your home damaged especially when you’re spending thousands on it. The delivery men arrived with no shoe covers on and they said Ashley Furniture doesn’t provide that. The carpet in our home was just cleaned and Ashley Furniture was very inconsiderate that we just spent hundreds to have the carpet professionally serviced. When I spoke with customer service about this, I insisted on receiving brand new furniture, I was told they will make a note about the shoe covers and they had the nerve to tell me I have their “loaner” furniture. I bought this furniture, it wasn’t supposed to arrive damaged nor was it intended to be some loaner program? Ashley Furniture offered poor customer service until I kept calling and expressing concern about the inconveniences that come with receiving new furniture. It wasn’t until then Ashley Furniture offered $50 off or $100 gift card. Fast forward to November when I was to receive the brand new replacement furniture, the delivery men arrived to the second delivery date with no shoe covers. They stated they saw there was a note about it, but again they didn’t have the shoe covers. The delivery men brought DAMAGED furniture to replace the DAMAGED furniture I already had in my home. The furniture they arrived with was worse than what I had originally received. The leg was cracked and the white paint didn’t even match. Ashley Furniture had the audacity to call me a LIAR. Ashley Furniture said it was in the system that I knew this furniture was arriving damaged. No one called me to discuss this and who in their right mind would spend thousands on damaged furniture? I expect brand new, undamaged furniture when I am purchasing new. I shared all this with customer service and they said all they could offer was $100 off. I haven’t even got into all the inconveniences I have had to deal with in this process and on these THREE delivery dates. I had to call Ashley Furniture today to receive my third delivery date. There have been multiple times I was told Ashley Furniture would call and I don’t hear so I have to call them. I do NOT recommend purchasing from Ashley Furniture. I am very regretful and I will NEVER purchase from them again.

Hannah welcomed me and attended to my Two requests: new mattress and 24” high backless counter stool. With no such stools on the floor she suggested a clearance floor model stool which was a possibility. Regarding the mattress, she rolling as needed all questions about type, showed available BeautyRest styles, answered all kinds of questions re: box springs, height of bed frame, overall sizing and explained the costs and differences among the choices. Ultimately , she offered two extra stools at a discount I couldn’t refuse as part of the deals. She was willing to wait for my return on a day after a scheduled medical appointment, which avoided a second trip. All in all I was happy with the whole shopping experience. Hannah knew her job and did it well. She had good sales training.

My friend and I went in. She was looking for a whole new bedroom suit. And I was looking for some dressers. We had a salesperson whose name was Elliott, He was very kind and patient and spent hours with Us figuring prices on the different bedroom suits. And we went over to the mattresses and that took a while, but he was very people Oriented, we dealt with Tony that night. He was just as awesome and then the following day. Rob arrived promptly within time frame stated. He introduced himself and asked about the issue we were having. He got to work trying to solve issue. It was determined to be a manufacturing defect. He explained the replacement process. He was kind, courteous, and efficient. 5 Star service guy!

Stopped in to look for a sectional sofa with chaise and recliner. The girl who helped us (forgot her name but she was a young brunette, glasses, tattoo on leg) was really helpful. We decided to wait and come back the next day because we wanted to check one more place. She told us she would be working and they were still having their big sale, so we could ask for her again and still get the sale price. Went back the next day with intentions to purchase their Ashely sectional sofa with chaise, and the dude working up front had no idea who we were talking about and said, “it sounds like Hannah, but she’s not working today. She should be working tomorrow.” I could also tell he was high on some type of opiate. I wouldn’t normally make such a serious assumption about someone, but it was really apparent. My boyfriend also looked at me and said, “that guy is high.” We didn’t see the girl we were working with previously so this guy was following us around the store. We realized the sectional we wanted met our living room dimensions, but didn’t take into account that our main door might hit one side of the couch when opening it so we needed to go back home and double-check how far the door would be able to swing open without hitting the chaise. They were closing within an hour and the sale ended that day, so we asked if there was any way we could still get the sale price if we came back tomorrow (like put money down now or something) and he said they could honor the sale price if we just came back the next day. When we told him we would let him know if we needed any help, because he kept following us around and we were just looking at what else they had, he seemed annoyed. Before we left, we said, “ok so if we come back tomorrow, (presumably) Hannah will be here and will be able to honor the sale price, correct?” And he said, “nooo, unfortunately if you come back tomorrow it will be full price again.” My boyfriend and I looked at each other like….we’re not crazy right? He literally told us the exact opposite of that 20 minutes earlier. It really bothered us that he wasn’t willing to honor what he had just told us once he found out that he would not be getting the sale. The entire experience was just super aggravating. We left and purchased the same exact sofa (AND a power- recliner) the following day from Fiore’s.

So far my wife and I have had an excellent experience shopping here for new furniture for our house. All the staff we interacted with were professional and nice, and our salesperson Mark was outstanding. He was super helpful and knowledgeable, but also gave us plenty of space and time to ourselves to go over everything before fully deciding. Then when we did decide and the order was placed, a few days later we wanted to swap the entire bedroom set out for a different one, and he made the process extremely easy. They even price matched the couch for us. Overall, we have zero complaints, but are still waiting on the delivery date of our items, and we will update the review after delivery!
