Lynda was an amazing salesperson. Answered all of my questions and helped me , without any pressure, to order my furniture. The rest of the staff at Ashley’s were just as friendly and pleasant!

My son and I went and looked for a dresser for his son. On a Friday afternoon. The woman was very nice and helpful. Said she would call us the next day. That didn't happen. But I took my grandson to look at it on Sunday of that weekend. I also saw the saleswoman who helped us on Friday. I got her to help on Sunday. Figured it was the right thing to do. My grandson picked a dresser and then it took 20 minutes for her to get someone to sign her sale slip. So they could put it in the computer to tell me if it was in stock. The couldn't tell me because the manufacturer hadn't updated them on the arrival. They said they would call, again didn't happen. My son and I had to go to Giant so we stopped in and were told oh yes and delivery was on a Tuesday which didn't work for us. She then told us others days of delivery for his area. He picked one and it wad delivered. My comment is no one should have to wait 20 minutes to be able to purchase something. I was truthfully getting ready to leave. Their were alot of people working but they couldn't sign for the saleswoman. I will think very hard before I come back. Waiting 20 minutes for someone to sign a paper is a little crazy. Thank you for your time.

RETURN and EXCHANGE POLICIES NOT CUSTOMER FREINDLY Beware of Ashley Furniture's mattress return policy! My advice don't buy a mattress from them. They charge the customer a 15% return fee in addition to the delivery fee for an exchange. In October 2025 I bought a Sealy Posturepedic with the advice of the sales person and sales representative saying that the Posturepedic hybrid was good for side sleepers because it had zoned springs. Since I needed more hip and back support, I decided to try it. It was not good at all for me in fact, it actually threw my low back and hips out of wack twisting my pelvis. I went back to the store to pick out another mattress for an exchange and they informed me that I would have to pay a 25% fee if I did not keep the original mattress for at least 30 days. So I waited the 30 days and picked out another mattress that was slightly cheaper and all foam. My request for a return was sent to their "Guest Services" department which no one really seamed to want to help me get the exchange done quickly. I had to send in all these photos of the Posturepedic in order for my exchange to be accepted. I phoned multiple times and and got a different service representative and had to explain the situation multiple times. I am very disappointed with the service I received and for the fact that I still had to pay an additional 15% of what I paid for the Posturepedic even though the other mattress was cheaper and any remaining balance would not be refunded. I am still waiting for the delivery of the new mattress a Nector Ultra. DEFINANTELY BE CAREFUL OF ASHLEY'S RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICIES THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER FREINDLY.

Lynda was great helping us with our couch and loveseat purchase! She made it a very easy, seamless process.

Matt H. Was wonderful. I asked about a mattress from Serta that was not in store or their app or on the website. It is a iSeries NXG 2500 Hybrid Plush. He spent almost a half hour on the phone with the main offices to special order it. I can not believe he was a able to get it. I literally called every major store in my area and none of them had it or could get it. This style of mattress will soon be offered in their store early next year. My daughter had one of the original iSeries mattress for 15 years. It has been the best brand mattress I have ever slep on in my life. Her's has never collapsed in the middle. It has stayed the same from day one. As for Matt, Ashley needs to give him a promotion!

I went into Ashley Furniture looking for a modular sofa. Michelle was extremely helpful in showing us different options. We decided on buying the Modmax series and it’s exactly what we hoped for and more. We purchased a love seat, recliner and 5 price sofa and oversized ottoman. Don’t fall for online only modular sofas that seem cheaper. 10/10 recommend the Modmax line of furniture and Michelle at the Pottstown location!! THANK YOU MICHELLE!

Absolute junk ! Walked in and paid cash for a living room set and Paid for the warranty . Didn't even last 6 months before it started pulling apart at the seam. Now that being said the recliner that nobody sits in ripped the worst. Terrible right on the seat very visible. They declined the claim .

Went here over Labor Day weekend and not one person offered me any help, and there were several associates wandering the store not helping anyone so I left. Went over to Mattress Firm was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and bought a mattress on the spot.

We went to Ashley's furniture in another town first. We didnt have a great experience and really decided to not to buy from Ashley's. The sales women was not really listening to our needs and giving us poor information. By chance, we decided to give Ashley's another chance and stop in the Pottstown location, where we met Mason. He gave us a lot of good information and knowledge with out being pushy or hovering over us! He was able to answer all our questions and even see availability before we had even decided to purchase with him. The other location was not willing to look us availability until we decided to purchase. Just said "Max 6 weeks". He even followed up after we left (didnt purchase at first) with a quote so we had all of the information correctly in hand! Based on his knowledge and Ashley's furniture being able to meet our requests, we purchased a great set and didnt have to shop around further! Based on our experience, we will shop with Ashley's Furniture in the Pottstown location again. Thank you Mason!

I am not the easiest person to deal with just ask my husband, but walking into this Ashley’s and having Travis as our sales guy was great. He was very patient and understanding, even took time out to move an accent chair from one side of the floor next to the couches we wanted. I had a horrible experience with this store. If I could give it a zero, I would. First they tried to sell me the furniture set I wanted way overpriced then what was listed on the floor. When they realized I was about to walk out the door, they all of a sudden good offer me the set for what it should have cost in the very beginning. Because the set was so beautiful I decided to still go ahead and purchase the set from them. I went over the diagram of how I needed the sofa to lay out in my living room with one of their representatives in the store. The day of delivery everything was totally opposite of what I said and saw him draw on the diagram. I had to send everything back because nothing fit. Now, I have no furniture and a guest of 30 people coming to my home for a gathering I planned based on the delivery of my new furniture set. I gave the old furniture set to make room for the new one. Of course I called the store only to be told there is nothing they can do until the other wis returned to their warehouse. I can’t get a refund or replacement of the correct furniture until sometime next week in what I was told. I paid 3000.00 for this furniture in full. I had the run around in even trying to get the right number for their corporate office. Finally, I retrieved the right number and was told they will have the store contact me today. I’m so disappointed in this store. I don’t understand why I could not have the correct furniture delivered again by Friday before my gathering. Now I have to sit and wait to see how long it takes them to return my refund do I can purchase furniture elsewhere. Never again Ashley Furniture will I ever purchase anything from you!

This was my first time at Ashley furniture, and I was greeted by a very warm, friendly employee named Janet as I walked in the door. She gave me the time and the space to walk through the store and to check out the displays of bedroom furniture, which I was there to look at. She did not pressure me But gave me some guidance on where to look through the store. After a while, we connected again I were interested in and she sat very patiently with me and looked up each bedroom suit to see what pieces were available, and if they were not available or in stock as she said when they might be available. My significant other was not with me, but we were on the phone, communicating back-and-forth and because of her patience and her friendly attitude and her knowledge I could finally choose the bedroom suit and the pieces that I needed. I feel she really went to bat for me and I would recommend Janet to other people that I know if they need to purchase some furniture and I myself will go back into the store to find little pieces of things that I need to enhance the bedroom and to finish it. They have a gem and Janet!! She is an awesome employee!!!

The staff is friendly and supportive when you're purchasing items from their store. However, once you have an issue, you get ghosted. In less than a year, I purchased the Langford dining set and upholstered dining chairs, along with the 5-year protection plan. I recently noticed that one of the chairs had a crack in it, so I contacted the service plan provider to get it taken care of. I was told that the 5-year plan doesn’t cover wood and that I needed to contact the store, since the item is still under the 1-year warranty. I reached out to the store and was told it should be covered under the 5-year plan, and that I just needed to email them pictures and it would be taken care of. I was also told that a ticket had been opened for me. Nine days later, nobody had called me back. After following up again, all I was told was that someone would get back to me within a week. The product broke in less than a year, and you can’t even get it serviced under the plan you paid for. You have to keep calling their customer service and the store just to try and get it an update. That’s not how you earn repeat business.

Travis was amazing from start to finish. He was easy to talk to and answered all the questions and dealt with out antics. And he surprised us with pillows at the very end to make it more enjoyable.

Husband and I bought 2 couch sets. We lets the sales woman know we have a 65lb dog and we were concerned about his nails and the couch. She showed us a basket weave fabric that seemed sturdy and she said she knew it would hold up. We really should have done some research to find out this is NOT the case. Within a couple of weeks the fabric already had multiple pulls in it. Spending $2500 for a couch to not hold up is disgusting. I am so disappointed. People really don't have your best interest and just want to make a sale.

a month ago UPDATE: My husband and I recently visited Ashley Furniture to purchase new living room and bedroom sets. While we were there, the saleswoman, Janet, convinced us to add a mattress to our purchase, claiming it was the only way to avoid delivery fees—despite advertisements suggesting otherwise. She also assured us we would have 90 days to try the mattress and return if we weren’t satisfied. Trusting her word, we spent 30 minutes testing various mattresses and selected one. The mattress was delivered on November 29, 2024, and we slept on it for just one night. To our horror, it felt nothing like the mattress we tested in the store. It was rock hard, with no give whatsoever—like sleeping on a pile of bricks. The next day, we immediately contacted Ashley Furniture to initiate a return and refund. Here’s where the nightmare escalates: - We called seven times and emailed three times, and each time, we were brushed off, told that a supervisor was unavailable, and promised a call back that never came. - On the seventh call, we refused to hang up until someone with authority addressed our issue. Finally, Wade, a so-called manager, got on the phone. Wade’s response was appalling. He spoke condescendingly to my husband and stated: - We could not return the mattress for a refund, and the only option was to exchange it—after first paying a restocking fee and a charge for return shipping. Apparently, Ashley Furniture expects customers to pay repeated fees until they eventually find a mattress that works for them. Utterly absurd. Had we known that Ashley Furniture engages in misleading, bait-and-switch tactics, we would have avoided them altogether. It’s clear that Ashley Furniture’s profit model prioritizes short-term gains over customer satisfaction and repeat business. Save yourself the frustration—shop elsewhere!

Firstly, the store is very organized and all the furniture is displayed in ways that make it easy to navigate through the store and see all that’s in stock. The few little trinkets of fake spills and messes (ie: fake ice cream) adds personality to the store. The person who attended to our inquiries, Janet, is a personable and hospitable woman who did a great job in helping us our in finding new furniture for our house and even throwing suggestions to us to consider. She is also very patient as we make our decisions and goes the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Definitely give Ashley’s a chance!

Furniture arrived broken. Took 3+ weeks to even get it. Now we’re going into another week and still have no clue what’s going on. Apparently customer care got blurry black and white photos even though I can see clear colored photos in my sent box. Still waiting to hear back from customer care. It’s been 72 hours and that was the max amount of time we were supposed to have a resolution in. I have 3 young kids and a broken box and tables in my dining room because we don’t know what we’re supposed to do with it.

I recently visited this Ashley Furniture Store to look at nightstands, and my experience was mixed. While the salesperson I initially worked with was kind and helpful, several issues made my shopping experience less than ideal. First, the prices in the store were double what I found online. I was told the store is privately owned, which is why their prices don't match Ashley's website. Additionally, the service plan in-store was twice as expensive as the online option, and the store charged for shipping while the website offered free shipping. In terms of delivery, the store informed me that my purchase wouldn’t arrive until after Christmas. However, when I ordered online, the nightstands arrived the very next day. One aspect I found unprofessional was when I returned to the store and asked to work with the same salesperson, only to be told by someone new that she wouldn’t be working there anymore before being passed off. It left a sour impression. Although the store did offer to match the website's prices, the drastic markup—$599 in-store versus $299 online for the same nightstands—made me choose to shop online instead. In summary, while the customer service in-store had its positive moments, the pricing discrepancies and overall experience led me to conclude that shopping online with Ashley was a better option.

Editing original review: we received our bedroom set and upon the initial delivery it was discovered that the headboard had the incorrect feet. Ashley offered to re-order it and after three weeks our new headboard was delivered today. As soon as we lay down in the bed, it collapsed breaking the boards underneath. We called this Ashley store and they just offered to email the warehouse with somebody to call us back within 72 hours, meanwhile, we have nowhere to sleep and cannot move this heavy headboard to get the broken piece out of the way. Avoid this store at all costs. Went to this store to buy a new TV stand. They showed me one with a fireplace that had some cool features so I said I would take that one. Sure enough, it gets delivered without the fireplace insert. I called and they said the insert was separate and not included AFTER SHOWING ME THE FEATURES OF THE FIREPLACE AND ME AGREEING TO BUY IT. Full blown bait and switch. They tried telling me the insert was an additional $800 dollars (more than I paid for the TV stand itself). I tried telling them it was only a couple hundred bucks online and they said online is a separate entity. They had to get regional manager approval to lower the price. Ended up having to pay an additional $300 for the insert. Do not buy from this store. Go to raymour & flanigan.

Spent $3,000 for a new sectional and an additional $220 for “premium delivery”. What a joke! It was delivered on Tuesday, 3 weeks after ordering, with the wrong legs for one of the pieces, and said piece was missing a hole for the legs. Delivery driver said he was submitting a work order for the matter to be fixed, and that we’d hear from someone in 24 hours about it. 4 days later and still no call, so I call Ashley and they no nothing of the matter. Have to submit pictures now and wait 3-5 more business days to hear anything about what they’re doing to fix things. Avoid these people at all costs.

UPDATE: My husband and I recently visited Ashley Furniture to purchase new living room and bedroom sets. While we were there, the saleswoman, Janet, convinced us to add a mattress to our purchase, claiming it was the only way to avoid delivery fees—despite advertisements suggesting otherwise. She also assured us we would have 90 days to try the mattress and return if we weren’t satisfied. Trusting her word, we spent 30 minutes testing various mattresses and selected one. The mattress was delivered on November 29, 2024, and we slept on it for just one night. To our horror, it felt nothing like the mattress we tested in the store. It was rock hard, with no give whatsoever—like sleeping on a pile of bricks. The next day, we immediately contacted Ashley Furniture to initiate a return and refund. Here’s where the nightmare escalates: - We called seven times and emailed three times, and each time, we were brushed off, told that a supervisor was unavailable, and promised a call back that never came. - On the seventh call, we refused to hang up until someone with authority addressed our issue. Finally, Wade, a so-called manager, got on the phone. Wade’s response was appalling. He spoke condescendingly to my husband and stated: - We could not return the mattress for a refund, and the only option was to exchange it—after first paying a restocking fee and a charge for return shipping. Apparently, Ashley Furniture expects customers to pay repeated fees until they eventually find a mattress that works for them. Utterly absurd. Had we known that Ashley Furniture engages in misleading, bait-and-switch tactics, we would have avoided them altogether. It’s clear that Ashley Furniture’s profit model prioritizes short-term gains over customer satisfaction and repeat business. Save yourself the frustration—shop elsewhere! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Janet, our salesperson was fantastic. She was very helpful without being pushy. We went in to get a sofa, and Janet made the process so seamless that we left with the sofa and a couple other pieces.

Worst customer service ever. Don't bother getting the insurance on the furniture as you lose more work days and could have just bought other furniture with all that time missed from work. They are not helpful at all. We have 2 identical recliners and one has been constantly breaking from the day we got it. They have been out multiple times ( over 5 or 6) that's a lot of missed work days for me and still frustrated as it's completely broken again. Our other recliner works like it should. Why don't they just replace this one with a quality one and be done.

Bought our new sectional here today. Actually a really great experience as far as furniture buying goes. Have done other major retailers and the pitches are very heavy handed. I appreciated that the folks over at Ashley let us shop but also popped up when needed. Our salesman Matt was awesome! Haven’t had so much fun furniture shopping in years. The whole team was lovely. Clearly could vouch for the product but wasn’t shovey and was the fastest purchase of furniture I’ve ever made. Other big brands have taken over an hour to do paperwork and it’s so frustrating. Lynda was fabulous, however the experience after sale was horrible. Ordered furniture at the beginning of July, wasn’t all in until end of September. Two of the chairs were incorrectly ordered when they finally did arrive. I was then told it would be another 4 weeks? What?!?! Ok nevermind. I will order them on Amazon (and they were cheaper). Had them next day. I then call them for a refund for the chairs and according to their policy you have to come into the store or they just keep your refund. Like unbelievable what an inconvenience! Not even our fault, they can’t issue the refund over the phone. Just beware, they are great with sales, past that point is a headache!
