At the Kingstowne Ashley Furniture Abdul was honestly so helpful throughout the whole process. He was really patient with us and took the time to understand what we were looking for instead of just trying to sell us anything. We never felt rushed or pressured, which made a big difference. We came for one sofa and ended up buying two sets of sofas, tables, and end tables. He made everything super easy and stress-free. He answered all our questions, gave genuine advice, and helped us feel confident in our choices. He didn’t just try and sell he listened and gave honest feedback. Overall, such a great experience. I had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture in Alexandria. I purchased a floor model that was in pristine condition at the store. However, when it arrived, the piece had multiple stains that were not there at the time of purchase. The item was not wrapped and was carelessly thrown in the back on a truck without any protection. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of accountability from the store. Despite raising the issue, the store refused to take responsibility or offer any support or solutions - clearly happy to take the commission. The customer service was dismissive, unresponsive, and unhelpful throughout the process and I will never bring my business to this store again. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before shopping here.

Ashley furniture is a terrible company. They delivered us the wrong item and gave us the run around about returning it for months. Then after promising a refund they changed their tune and only offered credit. We never got the right item. Jay, the manager, is awful. I feel sorry for the staff. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Worst customer service and predatory business practices. They basically lie about everything and go to great lengths to make you keep items you didn't order. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Large selection and reasonable prices on quality furniture. Nikko was great—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly patient as we tested many power recliner couches and sectionals. It took us a while to decide what worked best, but we’re very pleased with our choice. The credit approval process was quick and painless. We’re now awaiting delivery and fully expect the same excellent Ashley service!

My experience at Ashley started out pleasant when I initially purchased furniture over Black Friday. However, once I moved in to my place I realized the dining set I ordered would not fit. Per Ashley’s policy (in the paperwork agreement and receipt I was provided) refunds are allowed up to (2) days before furniture delivery. Well, I called (10) days before and stated my problem. I was given a hard time by the manager Jay who stated I could only get a credit (which is not true per their policy). I therefore drove back to the store to see if there was anything in there that could fit my space. I still couldn’t find anything I liked, but thought maybe I can go re-measure at home and something will work. Didn’t have any luck, so I drove back to the store the next day and requested a refund. Jay wasn’t in and I dealt with Tony. He was still being difficult and said I had to have the table delivered and refuse it at delivery, rather than issuing me a refund right then and there in the store. I said that is ludicrous to make the delivery people go through that so he finally ended up giving me a refund. I’d like to clarify that I still spent thousands on a bedroom set (delivered with scratches) and desk, so canceling the table wasn’t taking away all the business I was giving the store. I will never give them my business again. I ended up getting a dining table, couch and sleeper sofa from Bobs and the customer service/quality is outstanding compared to Ashley.

Abdul helped my girlfriend and I pick out a bed set, mattress, reclinable chair, and bedroom furniture for our new apartment and was nothing short of excellent and a pleasure to to work with from the moment we walked in to the moment we signed the paperwork. A masterclass in salesmanship and customer service, his demonstration of the temperpedic mattress should be used in sales training at every temperpedic store and major furniture outlet nationwide. Giving me faith that great salesmanship still exists!!

We stopped into Ashley just to get a feel for different sofas and ended up finding the perfect one — and a great experience thanks to Carlos. The color we originally wanted wasn’t available, but he helped us find an even better option and offered a discount to make it friendlier for our budget. She did an extraordinary job and spent time with me discussing all of the details and the options available about which I was not previously familiar. For explanations were thorough and informative. Her professionalism reflects the highest traditions of customer service. I purchased an end table and a few pillows alone with a table and chairs and was extremely happy with the selections I made. The selections were almost exclusively the result of Elizabeth showing me what furniture was available and what my options were.

First time visiting this store and I had a great experience. I got to meet one of their best sellers, Carlos, who showed me their beautiful furniture and explained every detail perfectly. Highly impressed! I end up taking what I needed it!!!!

Lynda was my sales consultant. I had all my likes and don’t likes when I walked in the door. I wanted specific dimensions for height, length and depth. She narrowed my search down. She helped me with it all. I bought it in the spot.

I had one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had at this location. The salesperson, Abdul, repeatedly gave me misleading and incomplete information about pricing and financing. He pushed Snap Finance on me while trying to make it sound like a harmless “invoice process,” when in reality it would have locked me into a lease-to-own agreement. I only discovered this after repeatedly questioning the offer he claimed was a “special deal from the regional manager.” I also provided personal financial information during the process, and I was never clearly shown how it was handled or whether it was deleted when I declined the transaction. That is extremely concerning. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told he had just left. Later I finally received a call from the manager, Jay, who offered no acknowledgment, apology, or accountability for what happened. The only thing he said was that I “should’ve been there,” which added insult to injury. As I left the store, other staff were laughing about the situation. That was unbelievably unprofessional. This entire experience felt deceptive, dismissive, and disrespectful of my time and trust. I spent half a day dealing with this, only to learn that I was nearly pushed into a financial agreement I did not want and was not clearly informed about. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend anyone shopping here read every detail and verify everything independently before signing anything. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and basic respect. None of that was shown here.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and terrible experience, absolutely the worst ever. Extremely disappointed in particular with the manager's (JA) unprofessionalism and change in attitude. Their attitude turns 180, they turn a blind eye, and become very ignorant once the customer begins to proceed with payment of their furniture, doesn't even bother listening to the customer at all. Awful explanations, as well, by the associates with the payment- instead of speaking on for 10 minutes using fancy vocabulary, just ask if they're interested in applying for a credit card, save your breath. Overall, terrible staff and I will NEVER ever consider purchasing from Ashley's again.

I’m 70 years of age and apologize for being a negative nelly. The power reclining recliner, sofa, and loveseat aren’t comfortable at all and we try the several times before purchasing the set. I guess the trial period is mirage? Once delivered and days of use, we found we mad a back choice, and everyday afterwards not feeling any better. Our set is exactly 3mos old. Please be aware, once power mechanism failed, you can’t override in the manual mode. My power recliner switch mechanism failed and needs replaced ! Mine you I contacted Ashley who sends me to a sub contract, then I’m tasked with taking a video sending it to an email sent to me in order to be contacted by a repair person ! I’m not satisfied a little bit, you ever try selling something like this? Totally dissatisfied, looks and niceties are always better than quality furniture ! Even when you purchase a lesser of quality, all things should be competent!

It’s been a very frustrating experience, and I’m sharing this to warn others to double-check the terms before buying from this store.

If I could give -5 stars I would. I bought a mattress/foundation, couch, and protection plan was added on. I was going back and forth between two mattresses, but was told I can exchange the mattress within 90 days no problem no questions asked. The mattress would be delivered the next week and the couch a month later. The day the mattress was delivered, I knew I could not sleep on it as I woke up in an immense amount of pain the next morning. I was then told I need to sleep on the mattress for 30 days to be able to process the exchange. Ended up cancelling the couch and protection plan as I got a good deal on a new couch that was delivered the end of the week. I was not told that the mattress exchange policy was only with the protection plan, and since it was cancelled, it is now final sale. I called corporate and they could not have cared less and said I’m stuck with my purchase because it’s been greater than 72 hours since it was delivered, at this point it has been 5 days, and when I told them the store said I need to wait 30 days to process an exchange, they still did not care. I have never been so livid with a company in my life. Spoke to an office manager and told her what I was told by the salesperson, that I could exchange my mattress for the other more expensive one as long as I paid the difference. The office manager had a shocked look on her face and went to ask the salesperson, only to come back and say there is nothing they could do. She said I did not even qualify for the exchange program because the mattress was under the $899 minimum to qualify, and that I was to buy an encasement, which I was never offered at the time of purchase. I should have stuck to my gut and never ordered from them in the first place when my other orders kept getting the delivery dates pushed back 6+ months. But I wanted to give them another chance. I will NEVER purchase from Ashley furniture again.

Great experience at this location and with our salesperson, Nikko. Nikko stood by the front door and was at our service from the moment we entered the showroom. He was attentive and receptive to what we were looking for and was able to quickly identify what we might be interested in based on our product descriptions and needs, and he quickly narrowed down the inventory at the store to only the items that fit what we had in mind. He took ample time describing the pieces we looked at, listening to our concerns and comments, talking with us through our decision process and making everything a breeze. He also gladly moved sections of the couches we were looking at all over the place to demonstrate the flexibility of the modular couch. Not once did we feel pressured, judged, or perceived in any way other than as friendly shoppers who he was happy to help. He showed professionalism and expert knowledge while maintaining a very calm, approachable and friendly demeanor. For my partner and me, it almost felt like we were shopping for furniture with a friend (a very knowledgeable friend). We walked into the showroom with the intention of looking around and feeling out what options we had without expecting to buy anything, and we walked out with an incredible, brand new couch at a great price. He facilitated the check out process and made sure we were very aware of the benefits of buying at Ashley, including the delivery process, return-if-unsatisfied-upon-delivery process, and the extended warranty he easily convinced us to get (highly worth it after the stories he told us). I highly recommend visiting this location and shopping with Nikko, especially if you are interested in being guided through your decision process by a great salesperson who only looks to inform you and make sure you feel satisfied after making a multi-thousand dollar purchase. The front desk lady was also very kind! Definitely the place to go to browse furniture.

BUYERS BEWARE! We purchased our first nice mattress and motorized stand from this store when we moved to the area. We got a great deal but weren’t 100% sure that the mattress we selected was right for us but were assured that we could exchange for a different mattress within a certain amount of time. During delivery, the workers damaged our footboard, stated us the company would pay for the damages, and co-signed paperwork stating they damaged our property. We provided time-stamped pictures on the damage claim. My wife has called over and over for 2.5 months and always receives the same delay tactic: I don’t see your claim or pictures, send them to me again and we’ll file/update your claim, and – no – I don’ have a manager that can assist you. It is Ashley Furniture’s endless loop to exhaust you and make you give up. In the meantime, I developed neck issues and the timing correlates with our purchase of the firm mattress. We requested an exchange and they denied it, stating we needed to purchase and use a special protector. They never informed us of this requirement. Furthermore, they are missing our mattress exchange program paperwork and, although they lost the form, they state we must have opted out of the program but cannot produce proof.… but the exchange program is precisely the reason we went through with the transaction in the first place! I really hope Ashley can make this right. This is a bad way to do business and, on a human level, just an unfortunate way to treat your neighbors. My advice: shop somewhere else.

We went in looking for a bed and assumed we’d end up heading across the street to a mattress store. Jay helped us out and was very knowledgeable about all the options, let us try out all the options and then was able to get us a better deal than on the manufacturers website or at the mattress store we had been to previously. Such a cluster…. Working with Jay and picking out our couches was great. After that everything went down hill. Getting our furniture coordinated for delivery was a nightmare. Customer service was awful and then when a part was discontinued and no one told us was infuriating. The lady at the desk had such attitude. And when delivery was scheduled all the notifications or lack there of kept saying the delivery was 1 min out (at 6am) and continued to give me this notification every 40 mins… for two hours

He gave us a great deal on a King mattress and frame set and he took the stress out of furniture shopping. Our bed frame was damaged during a mattress delivery. No problem, accidents happen. However, the call back I’ve been promised multiple times has never happened to get this resolved. I’ve been bounced around to different departments for weeks who all say it’s not their area and promise a cal back from someone else who does handle it. These calls never come. I’ve requested to speak to a manager, I’ve emailed asking for assistance and received short non apologetic responses. We love our mattress but I’m about to return it out of principle. They damaged our nice bed and I’ve had to spend an unacceptable amount of time and effort getting someone to fix it or reimburse us for the damage. Will never enter this store again!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am a loyal customer to Ashley and have spent so much money there. I bought a couch in April for almost $3k and It was damaged by May. I bought a protection plan and they said it would be insured, but it didn't do anything. Nor would they fix even though they insured it. I would leave -7 stars if I could.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. Wouldn’t leave us alone in the store, once we got the couch, it came 2 weeks late, and they only told us it was going to be late because the day it was supposed to get here, we called asking where it was. They were never going to tell us. Then, when it did get here, the delivery people didn’t want to take it up stairs, so me and my wife had to help them lift it up over our balcony and I cut my leg in the process. They then stole oranges from us and even dug through them to find ones not damaged. I would give this negative stars if I could. Just order from wayfair.

Horrible experience with this location. My salesperson clearly didn’t know what they were doing. To the point that I even asked them if they were new because I could tell they didn’t know what they were doing. I wanted a 4 piece couch, he put a 2 piece on the paper during check out. When I told him I wanted the 4 piece, he gaslit me into thinking the 2 piece is the shape I wanted. I‘m not very confrontational so I decided to wait and see what was delivered and just order the missing pieces. He then told me that I could order here and have the couch shipped to another state since I was moving (I originally told him I was only there to look around but he convinced me to go ahead and order since they could ship it out of state). Then I got a call to set up delivery , to find out he had it ordered to my Virginia address and they couldn’t get it to me in Florida. So I had to cancel the whole order after already waiting for weeks. Not to mention, I opened a line of credit for the couch. So now I have an open line of credit with no product. Also, FYI you can’t use Fortiva online at Ashley, only at the place you opened the account at. So that was a waste on my credit. The couch is cheaper online than it was on sale, in store so check your prices online before purchasing anything from this location.

We recently moved into the area and needed some new furniture. We had the best sales experience ever today, absolutely no pressure! Caitlin was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped us stay within budget! We'll definitely be asking for her should we need any other furniture!

Sale was great! Loved the salesman. The deliver was on time. Chair was put together wrong, did not work. Would not send a service repairman. Sent a new chair.

Sales Person was okay the main manager I guess he was okay also but it was an annoying price process they did match what was found online first to some degree but then refused. Would order next time the cheaper option from the other retailer unfortunately was to deep into the process. Most staff is very unfriendly, argumentative and not even able to print out a easy page which was time consuming seeing the desk staff struggling upon my request to send it via email was ignored and brushed of with it’s okay just wait. Frustrating long process if you have to deal with this attitude. Next time all online.

Warning !!! Do not order from the Ashley Furniture (Alexandria) the are by far the worst furniture company in the Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC area. I ordered a sofa, chair, ottoman, and lamp. My sales person told me that I should received my items in a few weeks. Two days before my delivery I received an email regarding my order but it didn't have the lamp on included. I called the store and they told me that the lamp was sent weeks ago and received. I ask how could you send something to the customer without letting them know that you sent something. Long story short. They apparently shipped via fedex and instead of the fedex guy putting my order in the luxer locker he left it on the floor and took the picture of it on the floor. Ashley waited to after I accepted my and it was delivered just to tell me that there is nothing that they can do regarding my lamp. DO NOT ORDER FROM ASHLEY's

Was told that it comes with a one year warranty and was asked if I would like to purchase more protection which I turned down. I told the agent I will be fine with the 1 year warranty and she explains what it will include and handed me a small brochure which I still have. 4 months have passed and the wood started cracking all over the side tables as well as the coffee table for no clear reason. We barely touch them. We went to the store to complain, they turned us back and said there is nothing they can do. We contacted the manufacturer and for the past week they have been asking us to provide proofs, papers, serial numbers which I had to lift the heavy furniture to get. After I sent all of that, they have the audacity to tell me go to the store and talk to them. Are you kidding me?? The store and its employees plus the manufacturer are a BIG joke. I will be filing a complaint against you all for manipulating and giving false warranty. Their furniture is rubbish and cost a fortune plus they are dishonest and do not care about customers. These furniture poses a falling risk on little kids.

I took a friend here in September 2024 to buy furniture thinking that they had quality furnishings and a good reputation. He bought a living room set, rug, and a glass top table. The sales experience was great, but the furniture was delivered weeks after he was promised. And when it finally arrived, they were in such a hurry that they just put the rug down in the room without ensuring it was centered. Within a week after the furniture was delivered, the wood under the glass table cracked the whole way through. He contacted the store, was referred to Corporate, back to the store, etc. He has been promised a replacement for months, and to date, it still has not been replaced. (He is disabled and still uses a flip phone so this experience has been difficult at best for him.) I honestly expected more from this company, and I regret that I suggested this store.

This has to be the worst furniture place. They told me the delivery would take place on a specific date and they even wrote it down for me. Now it has been overdue by about 10 days and nobody called to let me know what is going on or let me know when it will be delivered. They just say it will be delivered when it is delivered (not exact words). So frustrating!

Lou gave us all the information we needed to buy a bedroom set--when we were ready to ask. He wasn't pushy at all, just very helpful and a good man.

My experience at Ashley was deeply disappointing and could have been significantly better. During a previous visit, we worked with an excellent sales rep and informed him we would return after traveling out of town to finalize our purchase. However, upon returning to the store, we were shocked to be told that since we weren’t greeted by that same sales rep, he could no longer assist us due to some supposed “store policy.” This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I’ve never encountered such an absurd rule in any retail establishment. If this is indeed a policy, customers must be informed ahead of time to avoid such frustrating and unnecessary situations. While the new sales rep we worked with was polite, the overall experience lacked the enthusiasm and attentiveness we previously enjoyed. This encounter left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and it has certainly soured my view of Ashley as a brand.

I am very displeased with Ashley. Buying several pieces from them and then having an issue and no one wants to fix it. I bought a couch and a love seat going on 2 years in january. A little bit after a year the cracking started happening on my love seat. I called Ashley they said they could not do anything because it was past the one year manufacturer warranty. I then called the extended warranty that I had purchased and they said they do not cover cracking. I do not feel for a $3,000 purchase that they should be happening to Furniture then Ashley claims is high-end. I understand $3,000 is not a lot of money however it's not Pocket Change either for some of us. I feel buying an extended warranty plan is a waste of money since primarily they do not cover anything on leather which was not explained to us. The backing Hardware is worn out I was also told they do not cover that. So now it's loose and the headrest is cracking. This will be my last purchase from Ashley going forward. I'm very displeased with the service with the warranty and the fact that everyone wanted to say there was nothing they can do. All I wanted was for them to come out and at least patch it because it would started as a one little crack has now turned into several multiple cracks that I keep covering up with electrical tape. It's such an eyesore and not something I should have to be dealing with with furniture that was only a little bit over a year old when all this started.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Nikko! My fiancé and I just moved to the area and fell in love with a specific bed set. Nikko went above and beyond to ensure we received our bed in a timely manner, and I truly appreciate all his help! If you're looking for furniture, I highly recommend reaching out to Nikko.

The delivery service for Ashley was horrible. The men refused and left the dresser at the base of the stairs I guess doubting how to get it to the intended room. Due to their limited English speaking skills, the language barrier was an obstacle. The two Latino men weren’t able to follow the instructions I’d given them to finish the job. I had to later pay a couple guys to complete the delivery. The in-store service was fine.

I give them a 2 because their items were more expensive then the online store even though they agreed to match the online price.. They did not have the 60month payment plan that they claimed was available "in store only" and when I placed the order with the store it was estimated to be delivered in a month whereas online you get an ETA of 2-3 weeks. Ordered the couch 5 days ago and they still have not called to arrange a delivery day. Overall, it's just better to get it online.

I ordered over 4 items in-person, early August. No updates at all. They have not answered questions, they claim a strike abroad.. no news to back it up. It was promised end of August, then early September, then mid October and now mid November.
