Great experience at this location and with our salesperson, Nikko. Nikko stood by the front door and was at our service from the moment we entered the showroom. He was attentive and receptive to what we were looking for and was able to quickly identify what we might be interested in based on our product descriptions and needs, and he quickly narrowed down the inventory at the store to only the items that fit what we had in mind. He took ample time describing the pieces we looked at, listening to our concerns and comments, talking with us through our decision process and making everything a breeze. He also gladly moved sections of the couches we were looking at all over the place to demonstrate the flexibility of the modular couch. Not once did we feel pressured, judged, or perceived in any way other than as friendly shoppers who he was happy to help. He showed professionalism and expert knowledge while maintaining a very calm, approachable and friendly demeanor. For my partner and me, it almost felt like we were shopping for furniture with a friend (a very knowledgeable friend). We walked into the showroom with the intention of looking around and feeling out what options we had without expecting to buy anything, and we walked out with an incredible, brand new couch at a great price. He facilitated the check out process and made sure we were very aware of the benefits of buying at Ashley, including the delivery process, return-if-unsatisfied-upon-delivery process, and the extended warranty he easily convinced us to get (highly worth it after the stories he told us). I highly recommend visiting this location and shopping with Nikko, especially if you are interested in being guided through your decision process by a great salesperson who only looks to inform you and make sure you feel satisfied after making a multi-thousand dollar purchase. The front desk lady was also very kind! Definitely the place to go to browse furniture.

BUYERS BEWARE! We purchased our first nice mattress and motorized stand from this store when we moved to the area. We got a great deal but weren’t 100% sure that the mattress we selected was right for us but were assured that we could exchange for a different mattress within a certain amount of time. During delivery, the workers damaged our footboard, stated us the company would pay for the damages, and co-signed paperwork stating they damaged our property. We provided time-stamped pictures on the damage claim. My wife has called over and over for 2.5 months and always receives the same delay tactic: I don’t see your claim or pictures, send them to me again and we’ll file/update your claim, and – no – I don’ have a manager that can assist you. It is Ashley Furniture’s endless loop to exhaust you and make you give up. In the meantime, I developed neck issues and the timing correlates with our purchase of the firm mattress. We requested an exchange and they denied it, stating we needed to purchase and use a special protector. They never informed us of this requirement. Furthermore, they are missing our mattress exchange program paperwork and, although they lost the form, they state we must have opted out of the program but cannot produce proof.… but the exchange program is precisely the reason we went through with the transaction in the first place! I really hope Ashley can make this right. This is a bad way to do business and, on a human level, just an unfortunate way to treat your neighbors. My advice: shop somewhere else.

We went in looking for a bed and assumed we’d end up heading across the street to a mattress store. Jay helped us out and was very knowledgeable about all the options, let us try out all the options and then was able to get us a better deal than on the manufacturers website or at the mattress store we had been to previously. The only hiccup was having to wait for delivery!

Such a cluster…. Working with Jay and picking out our couches was great. After that everything went down hill. Getting our furniture coordinated for delivery was a nightmare. Customer service was awful and then when a part was discontinued and no one told us was infuriating. The lady at the desk had such attitude. And when delivery was scheduled all the notifications or lack there of kept saying the delivery was 1 min out (at 6am) and continued to give me this notification every 40 mins… for two hours

Abdul made our experience very pleasant today. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, wasn't pushy, gave us his full attention and answered all the questions we had. He gave us a great deal on a King mattress and frame set and he took the stress out of furniture shopping. We come from a family that owns a furniture business that sells Ashley, but live halfway across the country now, so this was our first experience not buying from family. I couldn't buy one online, called and was told to try in store, the store had me call Ashley Service Department, and then the Service Department worked with the store to ring up the replacement cushion.

I'm shopping for a kitchen table set and tv entertainment center. I went to Ashley furniture because they do have a lot of nice furniture. Maurice is very helpful. They do have a nice variety of furnishings. Most of their furniture is only available online, and that's where I found what I wanted.

Our bed frame was damaged during a mattress delivery. No problem, accidents happen. However, the call back I’ve been promised multiple times has never happened to get this resolved. I’ve been bounced around to different departments for weeks who all say it’s not their area and promise a cal back from someone else who does handle it. These calls never come. I’ve requested to speak to a manager, I’ve emailed asking for assistance and received short non apologetic responses. We love our mattress but I’m about to return it out of principle. They damaged our nice bed and I’ve had to spend an unacceptable amount of time and effort getting someone to fix it or reimburse us for the damage. Will never enter this store again!

We love Ashley. They always have a good selection for good prices. I feel like their customer service and overall value is much better than a lot of the other furniture stores we’ve shopped at. Tony was wonderful for our most recent recliner purchase!

Nikko took the time to help me figure out which configuration to get and walked me through the whole process to purchase it, and what to expect when it gets delivered. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am a loyal customer to Ashley and have spent so much money there. I bought a couch in April for almost $3k and It was damaged by May. I bought a protection plan and they said it would be insured, but it didn't do anything. Nor would they fix even though they insured it. I would leave -7 stars if I could.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. Wouldn’t leave us alone in the store, once we got the couch, it came 2 weeks late, and they only told us it was going to be late because the day it was supposed to get here, we called asking where it was. They were never going to tell us. Then, when it did get here, the delivery people didn’t want to take it up stairs, so me and my wife had to help them lift it up over our balcony and I cut my leg in the process. They then stole oranges from us and even dug through them to find ones not damaged. I would give this negative stars if I could. Just order from wayfair.

Horrible experience with this location. My salesperson clearly didn’t know what they were doing. To the point that I even asked them if they were new because I could tell they didn’t know what they were doing. I wanted a 4 piece couch, he put a 2 piece on the paper during check out. When I told him I wanted the 4 piece, he gaslit me into thinking the 2 piece is the shape I wanted. I‘m not very confrontational so I decided to wait and see what was delivered and just order the missing pieces. He then told me that I could order here and have the couch shipped to another state since I was moving (I originally told him I was only there to look around but he convinced me to go ahead and order since they could ship it out of state). Then I got a call to set up delivery , to find out he had it ordered to my Virginia address and they couldn’t get it to me in Florida. So I had to cancel the whole order after already waiting for weeks. Not to mention, I opened a line of credit for the couch. So now I have an open line of credit with no product. Also, FYI you can’t use Fortiva online at Ashley, only at the place you opened the account at. So that was a waste on my credit. The couch is cheaper online than it was on sale, in store so check your prices online before purchasing anything from this location.

We recently moved into the area and needed some new furniture. We had the best sales experience ever today, absolutely no pressure! Caitlin was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped us stay within budget! We'll definitely be asking for her should we need any other furniture!

Sale was great! Loved the salesman. The deliver was on time. Chair was put together wrong, did not work. Would not send a service repairman. Sent a new chair.

Sales Person was okay the main manager I guess he was okay also but it was an annoying price process they did match what was found online first to some degree but then refused. Would order next time the cheaper option from the other retailer unfortunately was to deep into the process. Most staff is very unfriendly, argumentative and not even able to print out a easy page which was time consuming seeing the desk staff struggling upon my request to send it via email was ignored and brushed of with it’s okay just wait. Frustrating long process if you have to deal with this attitude. Next time all online.

Warning !!! Do not order from the Ashley Furniture (Alexandria) the are by far the worst furniture company in the Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC area. I ordered a sofa, chair, ottoman, and lamp. My sales person told me that I should received my items in a few weeks. Two days before my delivery I received an email regarding my order but it didn't have the lamp on included. I called the store and they told me that the lamp was sent weeks ago and received. I ask how could you send something to the customer without letting them know that you sent something. Long story short. They apparently shipped via fedex and instead of the fedex guy putting my order in the luxer locker he left it on the floor and took the picture of it on the floor. Ashley waited to after I accepted my and it was delivered just to tell me that there is nothing that they can do regarding my lamp. DO NOT ORDER FROM ASHLEY's

I have always regretted not purchasing furniture from Ashley. Now I do regret that I did. Spent $3,500 on a living room set. Was told that it comes with a one year warranty and was asked if I would like to purchase more protection which I turned down. I told the agent I will be fine with the 1 year warranty and she explains what it will include and handed me a small brochure which I still have. 4 months have passed and the wood started cracking all over the side tables as well as the coffee table for no clear reason. We barely touch them. We went to the store to complain, they turned us back and said there is nothing they can do. We contacted the manufacturer and for the past week they have been asking us to provide proofs, papers, serial numbers which I had to lift the heavy furniture to get. After I sent all of that, they have the audacity to tell me go to the store and talk to them. Are you kidding me?? The store and its employees plus the manufacturer are a BIG joke. I will be filing a complaint against you all for manipulating and giving false warranty. Their furniture is rubbish and cost a fortune plus they are dishonest and do not care about customers. These furniture poses a falling risk on little kids.

I took a friend here in September 2024 to buy furniture thinking that they had quality furnishings and a good reputation. He bought a living room set, rug, and a glass top table. The sales experience was great, but the furniture was delivered weeks after he was promised. And when it finally arrived, they were in such a hurry that they just put the rug down in the room without ensuring it was centered. Within a week after the furniture was delivered, the wood under the glass table cracked the whole way through. He contacted the store, was referred to Corporate, back to the store, etc. He has been promised a replacement for months, and to date, it still has not been replaced. (He is disabled and still uses a flip phone so this experience has been difficult at best for him.) I honestly expected more from this company, and I regret that I suggested this store.

This has to be the worst furniture place. They told me the delivery would take place on a specific date and they even wrote it down for me. Now it has been overdue by about 10 days and nobody called to let me know what is going on or let me know when it will be delivered. They just say it will be delivered when it is delivered (not exact words). So frustrating!

Lou gave us all the information we needed to buy a bedroom set--when we were ready to ask. He wasn't pushy at all, just very helpful and a good man.

My experience at Ashley was deeply disappointing and could have been significantly better. During a previous visit, we worked with an excellent sales rep and informed him we would return after traveling out of town to finalize our purchase. However, upon returning to the store, we were shocked to be told that since we weren’t greeted by that same sales rep, he could no longer assist us due to some supposed “store policy.” This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I’ve never encountered such an absurd rule in any retail establishment. If this is indeed a policy, customers must be informed ahead of time to avoid such frustrating and unnecessary situations. While the new sales rep we worked with was polite, the overall experience lacked the enthusiasm and attentiveness we previously enjoyed. This encounter left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and it has certainly soured my view of Ashley as a brand.

I am very displeased with Ashley. Buying several pieces from them and then having an issue and no one wants to fix it. I bought a couch and a love seat going on 2 years in january. A little bit after a year the cracking started happening on my love seat. I called Ashley they said they could not do anything because it was past the one year manufacturer warranty. I then called the extended warranty that I had purchased and they said they do not cover cracking. I do not feel for a $3,000 purchase that they should be happening to Furniture then Ashley claims is high-end. I understand $3,000 is not a lot of money however it's not Pocket Change either for some of us. I feel buying an extended warranty plan is a waste of money since primarily they do not cover anything on leather which was not explained to us. The backing Hardware is worn out I was also told they do not cover that. So now it's loose and the headrest is cracking. This will be my last purchase from Ashley going forward. I'm very displeased with the service with the warranty and the fact that everyone wanted to say there was nothing they can do. All I wanted was for them to come out and at least patch it because it would started as a one little crack has now turned into several multiple cracks that I keep covering up with electrical tape. It's such an eyesore and not something I should have to be dealing with with furniture that was only a little bit over a year old when all this started.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Nikko! My fiancé and I just moved to the area and fell in love with a specific bed set. Nikko went above and beyond to ensure we received our bed in a timely manner, and I truly appreciate all his help! If you're looking for furniture, I highly recommend reaching out to Nikko.

The delivery service for Ashley was horrible. The men refused and left the dresser at the base of the stairs I guess doubting how to get it to the intended room. Due to their limited English speaking skills, the language barrier was an obstacle. The two Latino men weren’t able to follow the instructions I’d given them to finish the job. I had to later pay a couple guys to complete the delivery. The in-store service was fine.

I give them a 2 because their items were more expensive then the online store even though they agreed to match the online price.. They did not have the 60month payment plan that they claimed was available "in store only" and when I placed the order with the store it was estimated to be delivered in a month whereas online you get an ETA of 2-3 weeks. Ordered the couch 5 days ago and they still have not called to arrange a delivery day. Overall, it's just better to get it online.

I have waited for 3 months for furniture to be delivered. First someone failed to correctly place the order which resulted in a one month delay. They have failed at accountability and tried to make me wait 72 hours or more for a refund. Very dissatisfied and will not go back. Do NOT purchase from this store! We went in March 30 and purchased floor model living room set. We got a great deal on six different pieces and the sales person was very helpful! But that was the only good part of our experience. When we purchased, their delivery system was down, but we were told we would get a phone call to schedule delivery the following Monday. No one called so I followed up for several days before the system came back online to schedule deliveries. Then I was told I still couldn't schedule because my floor model items had not arrived... Then the excuse was that everyone was backed up so I would receive a phone call by end of the week or the following week at the very latest. I never received a phone call so I called back for several days and was finally able to schedule delivery. I scheduled for Thursday and received an automated phone call and text message on Wednesday that we would received items on Friday. No one knows why, but I was promised a call from the manager to explain. I'm still waiting on that phone call. Yet again, I followed up with the store only to speak with someone who can't help me because it's not their job, but could take a message for the customer service representative. Still waiting on that call too. Since I purchased on 3/30, I have called the store 18 times. I have only spoken to someone 5 times. It seems that once they have your money, they don't care about anything else. Save your money for another company that will actually deliver and provide adequate customer service.

Be prepared for long wait times for furniture to ship. We ordered a month and some change ago and our order just got pushed to the right another week even after they told us it would arrive the 5th of March. I will not be buying from here again. I ordered from Costco on Wednesday and they delivered on Saturday of the same week. Ashely’s should be able to do the same.

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with Ashley Furniture Store, specifically the location at 6001A Kingstowne Village Parkway, Alexandria VA 22315. On December 17, 2023, I placed an order for eight additional pattern pillows, which have yet to be delivered despite more than two months passing since the order date. Despite numerous attempts to contact the store via phone, I have been unable to reach anyone for assistance, forcing me to physically visit the store to inquire about the status of my order. Each time I have spoken with customer service representatives, I have been met with uncertainty regarding the whereabouts of my order and a lack of clarity on when it will be delivered. This level of service is not only unacceptable but also reflects poorly on the overall customer experience provided by Ashley Furniture Store. As a loyal customer, I had expected better communication and transparency regarding the handling of my order. Unfortunately, the lack of updates and prolonged delay in delivery have left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with my purchase experience. I kindly request prompt resolution to this matter and a clear timeline for the delivery of my order. Additionally, I urge the store to improve its communication channels and customer service processes to prevent similar experiences for other customers in the future. If this issue is not addressed satisfactorily, I may need to explore other avenues for resolution, including filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General of Virginia and Fairfax County.

I ordered from Ashley 8 extra pattern pillows and I ordered on 12/17/2023 still not deliver. Its been over 2 months I didn't get anything & when I call Ashley home store 6001A Kingstowne Village Parkway, Alexandria VA 22315 no one pick up the phone so I have to drive by to the store to get the status on this pillows. Ashley customer service always mention to me still your order in the service department & they don't know when will be deliver to my house that's a uncertain. This behavior really unacceptable and poor customer service also lack of communication. DISASTER!!! Would’ve loved to have read these reviews before buying anything from this company. Sales guy was great, I guess that’s a given. After purchase, disaster communication. Store manager is about as welcoming as a fart in a space suit when pressed on delivery and mixups. It’s at warehouse but no shipping from warehouse until 2/13/24, they’ll call on 2/12/24 to set a time for delivery. Non call on 2/12/24 so called to schedule a time. Person answering phone says, no, the product is coming into the warehouse on 2/13/24 and the delivery company will call on 2/13/24 to schedule a time to deliver. No call on 2/13/24. Called on 2/14/24, store manger, well, it’s not coming into the warehouse until end of month. 🤦🏽‍♀️. After explaining the back and forth since early February, he simply answers, your items are not in the warehouse. Zero comment on past conversations with his team. Blank these guys and go Nextdoor to lazy boy, which is where we should’ve gone in the first place. Not holding my breath for the end of month delivery at this point, would be hopefully by the end of summer and with no concern by Ashley furniture store

So when I finally just ask for a refund they tell me it’s 30% restocking fee. How is it restocking if you never got my Furniture. I should have ordered from C.o.s.t.c.o.

I have the worst experience with the store and its staff. Usually I need to spend hours , yes, hours to reach them by phone. The staff are rude and do not know the meaning of commitment at all. Every time I call to know the status of the order, that is supposed to be delivered on the next day, they come with their usual response that they are waiting on one piece and the delivery will be delayed by another week. This is the same response that I am getting for last 4 weeks and each time I call, the delivery date gets pushed forward by another week. Horrible customer support and no respect for the customers expectation. Never going back to this store again.

Bought several pieces of furniture from here, sales rep was great, however their delivery schedules suck. Would get a better review if it was not for having such an issue getting my order delivered. So far they have told me something different about delivery every time I speak with them. Could not arrange to have everything delivered at same time making have to take off several days of work. Only get less than a 24hr notice as to when your delivery is coming and they give a 4 hour window to have to wait on it the day of. I'm losing out on just as much money taking time off for multiple delivery days as I spent on the items themselves. Oh and my initial delivery estimate of 2 to 3 weeks has turned into 5 to 6 weeks now too. Very very poor customer service when it comes to delivering your stuff.

We visited several Ashley stores in the Nothern VA and we ended up purchasing a Hennington bed set and the Lindenboro sectional sofa with the exceptional assistance from Nelly (sale) and the management folks Malcom, Tony, Shannon. We received both courtesy and value (great pricing) from the Ashley Kingstown store.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Ashley Furniture and GBS Extended Warranty I recently purchased a bed frame from Ashley Furniture, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Adding to the frustration, Ashley Furniture promotes the GBS Extended Warranty, which, after dealing with them, feels like nothing more than a scam. Despite advertising stain coverage, the reality is vastly different. Upon closer inspection, the 12-page document they provide is filled with numerous exclusions, making it seem like they are actively searching for reasons to deny warranty claims. The combination of subpar product quality and the questionable practices of GBS Extended Warranty make it hard for me to recommend Ashley Furniture to others. The high cost of their products does not justify the headache and disappointment associated with dealing with such a company. Buyers beware – consider exploring alternatives with better reputations for both product quality and warranty services.

I have been store manager in the passed and when I heard that! I was surprised how she was working as an office manager there! It was very unprofessional behavior and the worst! Then the store manager came and this person was even worse then office manager! Free Suggestion to everyone! Please make sure they hand write in your recipe when promising the eta for delivery! Make sure to have proof! The automated computerized written in the recipe says 8-12 weeks for some items, they will game play with you in that and try to deceive youlater! The only way I can think of describing my experience with this store is horrifying! We went in and purchased some bedroom furniture. The main concern was being able to get it delivered on a certain date, as we live in a high-rise condo building, and you have to move mountains to schedule furniture deliveries there. The salesperson said the date was not a problem and we could call them after a certain date to schedule it. We did just that, and called them on the first date we were given. We were told by a massively rude lady on the phone at the store that our furniture had been sold, and it would have to be re-ordered and would take 6-8 weeks minimum to get it. I then asked to cancel the order since our salesperson lied to us, and she rudely said we would have to pay a 35% re-stocking fee, even though it was their error. We then asked to speak to the store manager, which we were told was on vacation for two weeks. Then we asked to speak to whoever was in charge. We were told there were 2 others in the store, but they were busy. We asked for a call-back, and she hesitantly said OK. Big surprise nobody called, so we called again and were rudely put on hold…for 2 hours! She kept picking up the line and then putting it back on hold. Then she started screening our calls, and when our numbers popped up on her phone, she would ignore it and let it go to voice mail. This went on for 3 hours. We called the corporate office, and they tried calling the store, and when our name was mentioned, she hung up on them too!!! So, we drove over to the store and found nobody at the customer service desk. When asking a passing salesperson where everyone was, they just said, oh, she’ll be back in a minute. When asked for a manager, we were told they all went home…this was at 5:30pm in a store that is open until 9pm. Then when the rude lady finally appeared at the desk, we told her who we were and that we knew what she had been doing to us with the phones, and she rudely shrugged and said, I’m just doing my job. She said there was an acting manager on duty, and we could see her through the glass window behind the customer service desk, but she refused to come out and help. Then we said we weren’t leaving until our order was cancelled without fees. She then went into the secret office with the secret manager and came back out stating that the corporate office sent an email telling them to cancel, refund our deposit, and no fees would be charged. She did so and wasn’t even going to give us a receipt of anything until we demanded it. In my opinion, being 54 years old, this is the #1 worst experience I have had in my entire life. This store should close it’s doors forever.

My husband and I came in yesterday and Nikko greeted us with a smile and with excitement. He did not follow us around the whole store while we looked around, instead he let us wander and gave us space which I appreciated so much. We were looking at dining tables and he was kind enough to take off the extension piece so that we could see how it looks with out and if it would fit in our space. He gave us a great deal and also assisted us with replacement cushions for a couch we purchased a year ago. He was so genuine and really sweet. His service was very helpful and we were in and out without any wait time. I would highly recommend working with him when you go in to look at furniture if you’re looking for a stress free / easy-going experience!

The second most popular furniture company in America, and less expensive than #1 La-Z-Boy, the furniture varies in quality and offers no warranties comparable to La-Z-Boy. Friendly and professional salespeople. The biggest weakness and failure lies in their presumably contracted furniture delivery process. In my case, I was willing to have a four hour delivery window, fair enough. But when a 11:22 am text with my confirmed address said delivery would occur in “approximately 15 minutes” and the delivery did not happen until 1:11 pm, I felt disrespected. The Midatlantic Delivery Services delivery driver said he used his app to send the text, but the text only meant he was going to deliver in the 4 hour window (in his mind). Even after I showed him the text his app generated he just shrugged his shoulders. If you miss a delivery (if they call and you happen to not answer) they will skip you, and your free delivery will now be costly, and if you try to “return” the furniture you will be faced with a 25% restock fee. It almost seems like bad delivery is a profit center for them, though this is mere speculation. Decent products, but how they fail to manage the final customer touch of delivery boggles the mind.
