I placed an order for a couch with an attached chaise and a bed at the beginning of February to help in my recovery from back surgery scheduled six weeks later. The items were both late arriving at the warehouse, but Austin and Tristan went out of their way to have the couch delivered days before my planned surgery. The bed was not going to be delivered prior to when I needed it, but the regional manager and his boss went to the warehouse themselves after hours and brought the bed to my house and set it up at 6:30 PM the evening before my surgery. I could not believe it! I will always buy my furniture from Ashley as the customer service was excellent.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We got the worst mattress from here that cost $1000. Within the first month of having it, it sagged and formed several deep holes and has given both me and my husband terrible back pain. We now sleep in our guest bedroom while we’re waiting for Ashley to replace the mattress. We have tried for the last 6 months to return and exchange it for another mattress. We finally had someone come to our house 2 months ago to confirm it was deformed and file a claim. Ashley has now pushed back and tried everything to make it so we cannot return it. My time is worth a lot and my husband and I have spent several hours on calls, texts, emails trying to get a warranty. We finally heard today that they won’t refund us after stringing us along saying they would for the past 6 months. I will never shop here again.

Josh was great..super nice guy who was not pushy at all. Just gave lots of good info and helped with pros snd cons of a couple different choices. Would definately buy from him again!

I had a good experience, Mr Doyle was helpful and did not pressure me like I've experienced at other stores. He ended up hooking me up with a great deal on a recliner along with delivery. Edit because I cannot give another 5 star rating: On the day of delivery there was an emergency with one of the workers, and Mr Doyle went out of his way to make sure my recliner was delivered in the narrow window of time I was available. He told me he made a promise and carries them through. I liked him and the company already; I will certainly be furnishing my house with them in a year or two after graduation and will ask for him if he is still there.

I was looking for a chair and ottoman as a reading chair. When we went into Ashley, we were greeted immediately and asked what we were looking for. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and showed us around, gave us time to look, and talk about what we wanted. She was new to sales, but was very good. Delivery was on time and also went well. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because I was asked by the salesperson and the manager to give a review when we were purchasing the chair. I was also offered an item for free (like a fake succulent or accent piece) for giving a review. This is how false reviews happen and is farming for reviews which is not cool. I cannot remember if they asked for a 5 star review or just a review. Keep this in mind when reading reviews for this location.

What can I tell, you already don't know? My wife and I stopped by Ashley in Blacksburg today and was pleasantly greeted as we walked in the door. We were looking for a particular king bed and needed to purchase a mattress and box spring also. Melissa & Jessica really came through for us with exactly what we were looking for and cut us a deal on store prices. We found the bed on the internet and they matched the price. All and all they spent time and used patience with us. Free delivery and setup to boot and we live in WV. Not sure when it will be delivered but we aren't in a hurry. Will come back and review the delivery side of Ashley Furniture's business and let you know how that went. Ask for Melissa or Jessica when you go in. A total hassle free experience.

It was the worst decision I have ever made. I bought a bed more than a month ago… and the hardware is not the ones on my bed, I went and they gave me others that are not the ones on my bed either! I went again and they ordered some online and said they would arrive at my house! That never happened and we've been waiting for that for 3 weeks!!! An employee told me why I wasn't going to Home Depot and I could get them there... 😡 I went and said I wanted to return the bed "WHICH I HAVE NEVER USED" and they told me I couldn't return it, but that they would personally go look for the hardware in the deposit, please return the next day! I went at 4:00 pm and they told me to come back at 6:00 pm. and what do you think??? They are not my hardware either...

Replacing a couch is an awful process with Ashley furniture. We used our warranty that covered our couch. The delivery of our new couch was delayed. When it was finally time to receive our couch, they scheduled the first delivery attempt. They called the day before to let us know our couch has been lost and had to reorder it. The second attempt they had the wrong address. My husband called to fix it and they rescheduled another attempt. The morning of this 3rd attempt they called to tell us they must reschedule again because they have the wrong address. At this point, I’m just praying I actually get my couch that we paid extra for the warranty. Do better!

Horrible service at this particular store. The manager Justin was rude and not pleasant to be around. While acting as if he was professional, he made himself seem completely immature and unprofessional at the same time. He made me and my family very uncomfortable. Not one to leave reviews but my experience here was completely awful, mainly because of his service.

My wife and I went in to look at some recliners and from the moment we walked into the door the salesman Justin was extremely pushy and gave us no personal space while looking around and continued to interrupt my wife almost every time she was speaking. Then to top it all off as we were looking through the couches I witnessed him being extremely rude to one of his coworkers as she was trying to talk to a customer on the phone and he kept blurting out to her to “let me talk to them” “ just give me the phone before you mess up a sale” while she was talking to the customer. I decided then that if a salesman was to make money off of me buying furniture I definitely did not want it to be him and I went elsewhere to shop and hope everyone else does the same.

We found a great couch with the help of Justin Doak. We have looked at a few stores in the area and Justin helped us find the perfect couch for our home.

Worst experience! Salesman Justin was horrible, rude, and made little effort to answer our questions. He kept grunting and threw his hands up when we asked a question. He complained when he had to answer anything and was cocky as heck, when in reality he was clueless about the inventory of his own store! Will never go back.

Emily is great! Have bought a sectional and kitchen table from Ashley in Blacksburg and she's kept me updated on my order and helped it run smoothly. Looking thru the other reviews it seems like some of you are faulting the people in the local store for things caused by distribution centers or delivery folk, etc. Try to remember the sales peeps in-store aren't the ones delivering, calling you for delivery, or whatever, they are just the middle men. No need to down them because of others!

Bought a bed set less than a year ago and it is now broken. The flimsey legs under the bed broke and then the slate at the head of the bed gave out while I was trying to sleep. Very low quality furniture at too high prices.

The employees are nice

Don't waste your time with this place. They charge $150 flat rate shipping which we declined and they do not deliver the furniture to the Blacksburg store for you to pick up but only to their Roanoke warehouse. We purchased a desk and picked it up a week or so later at the Roanoke Warehouse. Took it home and assembled it. One of the legs was cracked and broken. I had to drop the desk off in Blacksburg to return it and get a refund. I was told a refund request would take a week. Virginia furniture market in Christiansburg is a much better choice.

Update: The store made it right. New bases were delivered today 10/31. The day after leaving this review the store called me, acknowledged the mistake, and let me know they would fix it. I expected more of a fight. There was no fight at all. Way to go Ashley. At least our local store didn't live up to the online drama about how bad their service can be. Tempur-Pedic buyer beware - you can order many of the Tempur-Pedic mattresses and bases directly from the manufacturer for a lesser cost and the manufacturer offers a better guarantee on them. The Tempur-Pedic bed and base we purchased during the stores Columbus Day Sales were delivered today. The base was not the model expected. They have a good, better, and best model of the adjustable bases. In store we had asked for the better model which had a much quieter motor. We received the good model that makes a lot of noise. I am going in tomorrow to give them a chance to fix it.

Very nice looking store, good selection of beds and furniture as well as odds and ends needed.

Our furniture was delivered at 11:30 PM on the scheduled delivery day. The delivery person called us 12 hours earlier to say he would be late because Ashley warehouse messed up and he was just leaving for deliveries. The scheduled delivery time was 5-8 PM. The next call we received was 10:30 PM to say he was on his way. Delivery people very nice though. I called Ashely Furniture, both the Blacksburg store and the warehouse to tell them what happened. They seemed to be totally uninterested. Very disappointed in them. Will have to see how the furniture holds up.

Barring limited offerings due to deluge of faculty, staff and students come back to Blacksburg to reside for the new school year, the staff and particularly Justin Doak were very helpful, attentive and accommodating; I'd go back

Sales staff was very helpful however set up for delivery lacks. Apparently only one call is all they will make to set up delivery. When after over a week I had not heard from them I called. Was told that they had attempted to leave a vm. No vm left and still had over another week before delivery scheduled. Most delivery that you have to PAY for will work around work schedules but they only say we will make a note.

Horrible experience!! I just want to return everything. 5 vanitys in a row have arrived damaged. Now they just want to refund the money. Now I have an incomplete bed set. My son's headboard has arrived damaged 3 times. If it shows up again damaged they will refund the money as well and I'm left with a bed missing a headboard.

Justin Doak was great to work with. Went in on a Friday and ordered a brand new bedroom set on a Saturday! As a career salesman I respect other salesman who aren’t pushy. He was laid back. And very straightforward. I will be a Ashley Furniture customer for many years to come.

I would HIGHLY recommend this store. We were moving from Richmond (Virginia) and Ayla took care of order over the phone and set up delivery on the day of our move. The furniture and price were perfect and the delivery and set-up was exceptional. Everyone at this Ashley Furniture location made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way. We will always use Ashley's in Blacksburg for now on.

We just recently bought a sectional and tables from Ashley Furniture. It was delivered today and we are now starting to use our furniture and it is falling apart. All wood on the tables are chipped, the screws in our coffee table are screwed in too tight and are not fixable as the top is sliding. One of the doors to our entertainment center is not shutting. There is a rip in the fabric of the very bottom back of the couch. We were really excited about these pieces of furniture (and paid a good bit of money for it as well) and this is a huge let down. Very disappointed.

Terrible service. They promise to deliver mi furniture first week of April. Then they called to say that they would deliver furniture on the April 18th. They called later to say that they would deliver on the 19th. I had to sleep on the floor with my wife and two little girls one night and reschedule vacations.Finally they arrived on the 19th and my order was incomplete. I planned to go out for vacations and I am stuck waiting for the furniture. Think before purchasing.

I stumbled across Ashley in Blacksburg just by chance when visiting neighboring Alumni Hall earlier this week. This is a beautiful new store with quality offerings to choose from! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I did not feel pressured to purchase but left feeling well educated on mattresses and particular selections for my new living room set. Ashley Blacksburg really set the bar high for my future furniture needs. I will drive to Blacksburg JUST to deal with this more than pleasant location over my home Ashley location in Roanoke.

What a fantastic experience! I was excited and nervous going in as I had already been to one store and was not thrilled with my experience. Also, it was my first time buying a brand new piece of furniture! With in moments it was clear I wanted to buy a couch at this store becuse not only is their stuff great quality and they have a range of prices, they were so patient and personable. My fiancé and I arrived an hour before closing hoping to see something and think about over the weekend. But our sales women Jennifer made it so easy. She really listened and was very informative. They stayed open a little bit longer as we decided and seemed more then happy to help. Beautiful store, great selection, and warm staff. Made my experience fantastic! There is definitely something for everyone at this store!

I went in and wanted new furniture for my new house kinda knew what I wanted but not really. Had been to the Ashely in Roanoke but I decided this day to go to Blacksburg. I have to say Aeyla and the other ladies are so friendly. Aeyla has lots of patience’s because I had changed my order twice but she took care of me in the end. Great customer service. We happened to be in Blacksburg yesterday and noticed that Ashley Homestore was having their grand opening. We went in to browse around. The store was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We spoke with Logan, the sales manager, about a mattress. He showed us a few Tempurpedic mattresses and a comfort bases. We decided to take advantage of the deals they were offering. I highly recommend this location. Logan did an excellent job and come highly recommended!

We had an opportunity to stop by for the Grand Opening today. We went in just to look around. Logan suggested that we try out a Tempurpedic mattress and lifestyle base while we were there. After some questions we were put on the perfect mattress. I can not wait until it arrives! Beautiful store, great staff, and a great location. Most of all, thanks to Logan for his knowledge and expertise. Definitely ask for him when you go to the store!
