Ashley Store Bristol, VA

Well my coffee table hit the floor in pieces after I had the ol lady laid up on it giving her the root by Stumpdog Productions, wish I had my shoulder mounted camera for that one, so we come up here to check one out the dude said he didn’t know the recommended limit that it’ll hold was, I told him I might have to try a couple out to make sure it’s the perfect height, hopefully it won’t buckle down when I get her sprawled out it.

Steven did a great job, he let us look around find the perfect fit for us while remaining close by to help!

I have called multiple times in order to cancel my furniture order because I was told it would be delivered within a couple of weeks and it's been over a month now. I've received no communication about my order since the day it was placed. Every time I call, I'm either told that I will get called back or no one answers the phone.

Great experience going there, Scott was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had a lot of space to browse around, and he was always available when I had questions. Never got rushed even though I had went in about 3 times that week before making the final decision! When the time came to place the order thing we’re really smooth and quick. Thank you!

Had been looking at something's online, and we decided to go into the store to order it. Steven welcomed our family, and got everything ordered for us. Couldn't have asked for a more kind or helpful team member to make this process so smooth. I've been to the Johnson City location multiple times before for previous purchases, but will now make the drive to Bristol as he was so organized and helpful.

I have waited over 3 months on a couch. After giving this store $3000, no one has been in contact. I have not received one single phone call.. I have to call the store for them to push me off another month. Every time I receive a delivery date no one ever shows. I’m praying I receive this couch at least before Thanksgiving. As soon as I receive my couch, I will take down this review. I truly believe that the manager Scott needs to be more attentive to his clients.

Great help from Whitney!

Called and asked about a specific mattress, was told they had it in stock. Drove an hour to be told they do not have it, and tried to sell me a different mattress for way more. If you’re going to have salespeople answer the phone and speak to potential customers, at least have them know about your own products :)

Nice staff, but do not recommend buying pillows here. They won’t honor the manufacturer return policy and if you don’t like it, you’ll be stuck with an expensive pillow when the mattress companies themselves will exchange or allow a return. Pretty disappointed…. Should’ve just bought from the mattress company directly then.

Steven was pleasant to deal with. I think the prices are for the most part too high, but we did find a reasonable price on a sofa and chair set. Delivery was as scheduled with no incidents.

Had not planned on checking this store for lounge chairs, but another store was closed. I was pleasantly surprised at the attention (not over-bearing) that we received. Found a chair and sofa that we love. Our lazy boys were 18 years old so it was time. Manager, Scott, stayed in contact during the delivery as well and took good care of us.

I was given immediate and helpful serve by the store manager, Scott in the Bristol store.I was searching for wide low bookcase and found a credenza, and although one was not in the store he found one in the warehouse which will be delivered in about 2 weeks. Sales associate was was great to work with. He greeted us as we arrived. Ask what we were interested in looking for and escorted us to the living room furniture. He told us to take our time looking around and welcomed us to make sure that anything we were interested in was comfortable. He left us to browse around and try out sofas and recliners. He came back when he saw sit and talk without immediately moving on to something else. He talked with us about the sofa and told us that he would check back with us after we looked at more items. After further browsing and going back to the sofa we liked he came back and we talked further about the sofa. I appreciate him allowing us time to look around without hovering over us.

The furniture protection warranty company is garbage. When you buy furniture from Ashley they promise they will clean or fix any damages done to the furniture or they will replace the furniture. Have called since March to get my couch repaired and I just now got someone on the phone that will talk to me and not just take a message. Which they denied the claim and won’t fix any actual damages to the furniture. We paid for an extended protection plan and it’s completely useless and a total scam. Won’t be purchasing from ashley or anyone else who uses that protection company.

Steven was very informative of Tempurpedic system we were interested in. He showed us different versions of the base for the Tempurpedic mattress and then got us the best combo for our budget. Plus we won a vacation!!! Can't wait for delivery... get a good night's sleep and go on vacation,. What more could you ask for!!

I came to the Bristol store because I had a problem with an online order. I was immediately greeted by the salesman, Scott Linginfelter. He addressed the problem and actually placed the order for me at that time. I have a delivery date set up for my purchase and it only took a few minutes for the whole transaction. Scott was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. There was also a gentleman in charge of the financing part who was also very nice. The Bristol store is set up beautifully and the staff are super nice. I will definitely be doing business with them again in the future.

Been looking for the perfect couch forever and no stores had what I was looking for. But Steven found what I was looking for! He was very helpful, but not pushy. Me and hubby stayed for awhile deciding between 2 different sets. Even taking a quick break and coming back. :) I finally picked the one I wanted (Alesandra couch and chair 1/2 and ottoman)and couldn't be happier. Super comfy and a great deal! We spent over $1300 on a bed set at Ashley Furniture roughly 3.5 years ago! I bought the 5 year warranty for $100 I was told it Would replace ANYTHING down to the fact the salesman told us we could beat it with a hammer and they would replace it. Wellll boy was that a lie. My fiancé was laying in the bed one morning and I was getting dressed and the bed just went “boom” I looked and His head just fell! The leg and the frame was broken on the bed we tried to fix it but it just kept falling everytime we would lay down! I’m guessing this happened from moving the bed around the room because it just looked like the leg was bent we were constantly having to take the mattress and box springs off every night to fix the leg up before we could even LAY down! I decided to file a insurance claim which was REJECTED because apparently this was ”normal wear and tear” I called corporate they sent us a new leg and when I say leg I mean leg ONLY no bolt nothing even tho I explained the whole piece of the frame was broken they insisted a new leg would fix it. Welll it didn’t. I have called them multiple times since and they insist I will get a giftcard for $100 back when the warranty time is up since the insurance company rejected my claim. Like what the HELL would I buy for $100 worth when $1300 bought us a bunch of crap. Mind you as you can see on the nightstand that came with the set I bought from them it was cheap material that chips and wore off badly! So here we are after going round and round with that stupid bed for a year we ordered a new bed from Amazon because we are not trying to spend another $1300 on a bed. And l must say this bed was already made 10000x better then the POS from Ashley!!! So I would advise everyone to not buy anything from Ashley and if you do DONT waste your money on the warranty cause if soemthing happens you are SCREWED anyways!

Not a happy customer! After finding a mattress that I wanted at the Bristol location, I was told they had 21 in stock. After saying yes I would not only want one but 2 of them they tell me I will have to drive to Gray to pick them up or pay $50 fee to have them send to the store. I should have been told these kind of things up front. I was told they would call when our order is ready. So, here we are over a week later and still no call. We called to check on it and they told us our sales person wasn’t in and the warehouse is closed. Someone can look at the computer or how ever the inventory is kept up with and help give us an update on this order. Shouldn’t have told us we would have in a week if you can’t keep your word! I

I was told they would hold a recliner for me till the next day till the manager came in because it has a spot on it and I was seeing if I could get a little knocked off for it before I bought it But when I called the next day when the manager Curtis was there he told me that they had already sold it . Rilye said she already texted him that day I was there and told him everything but he said he didn’t know anything.about it . So I wouldn’t recommend the Ashley store at exit 7 at all . They lie and this wasn’t the first time being lied to at this store . So I went to the outlet. Store in grey and got great service right off the bat and bought one there . They need to retrain everyone in the store and tell them not to lie to customers.

Rylee was extremely helpful in helping me choose the appropriate furniture for my apartment. I had just recently moved from northern Wisconsin to northeastern Tennessee and downsized from a four bedroom house to a two bedroom town home style apartment. Needless to say, creating the appropriate decor is not my specialty; however, Rylee was more than willing to assist me pick out something that was definitely to my liking and preference. In addition, her patience was more than acceptable. This buying experience was easy and enjoyable.

My salesperson at the Ashley Home Store located in Bristol, VA was Rylee. This lady is unlike most salespeople. Instead of pushing items on me, she LISTENED to all my concerns, wants and needs. She did not rush me through like a herd of cattle. I am so happy with the bed and mattress that I purchased. It is so beautiful. I now sleep so well on the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever had. I will definitely go back to the Ashley Home Store for additional furniture. I would recommend the entire staff for assistance. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. However, Rylee went over and beyond to assist me. I’m not an easy customer. Any future purchases will be made through her.

We purchased a dining room table, Fallon was amazing and very helpful. Originally it was not expected in the warehouse until December which we were okay with. But she gave weekly updates that she promised to do just to let us know that everything was on track or if there were any changes. Well about 2.5 weeks after we ordered she checked up on their systems and saw that one was being delivered to the warehouse sooner than expected so she quickly got our name onto it and let me know. 2 days later I receive a call that it was ready to get delivery scheduled and well they arrived for delivery roughly 30 minutes before the delivery window that they had given me.

Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with a purchase of a new mattress. He explained the diagnostic test and the results well and didn’t mind pulling out several mattresses for me to try. He explained the mattress warranty well and did a thorough job overall.

I was lied to from the beginning and when I tried to call about what had happened I was hung up on twice. Did not get my furniture til 3 months later than agreed on. Curtis and William are the store managers and they both hung up the phone on me. Because I was heated that they lied to me. Courtney the girl I bought the furniture off of was fired they let me know for lying to people. Horrible place of business after they get your money. Don’t curse because they will hang up on you like the little babies they are. Billy I still love you even if you don’t like me.

The reps in the store were nice and helpful BUT!!!! It’s going to take over a MONTH to deliver it. That is unacceptable! The lousy delivery service dropped this rating considerably.

Don’t shop at this store unless you want items that you have paid for, to be sold to someone else right under your feet. Me and my parents had bought and PAID for several furniture items and have spent a big chunk of money on new furniture months ago. When the items were bought, we were told by the associates that they would hold our items in their warehouse until we was ready to have the furniture moved into our home AND that they would be ready to deliver it as soon as we were ready. We contacted them saying that we was finally ready for our furniture , and then it was brought to our attention that 2 items that we had already paid for, that was ours, was sold in a “warehouse sale”. If that wasn’t frustrating enough, they have been extremely difficult and frustrating with trying to get delivery setup. They keep brushing us off and putting off delivery of our items. We have been told several times that someone will “call us back” but there have been no phone calls. We had been so excited for our new furniture, but this whole situation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. They have poor customer service and do not hold up to their word. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this store.

Disappointed. Rylee told me that furniture was available in warehouse and that delivery would be contacting me to set up time for this Friday (4 days from purchase) or the last Friday of the month. I find out from delivery that many items were on back order and some not available until September! I called, spoke with William who was going to have Sales manager call me back about the experience and my possible cancellation of the purchase. No call! Very disappointed in the customer service.

Please don't buy from this store you may or may not get your stuff but they get your money.

I would NOT recommend buying any furniture from Ashley Furniture. My daughter bought a bed back in February and then about 2 weeks later, we went and picked out a living room set. They told my daughter her bed would be in my first of April and then my couch would be in not long after that. We called about the first of April and they said that both the bed and couch would be in the week of April 15th. I called a donation place to come get my couch so they could bring my couch in. Well.... week of the 15th comes and goes and I call to see when it would be in and they said the bed wouldn’t be in until first of May. First week of May rolls around and still nothing... called again and they said that the bed was at the warehouse but was waiting until the couch came in to call to schedule delivery. Asked when the couch would be in and they said LAST OF JUNE OR FIRST OF JULY.... Keep in mind we haven’t had any furniture since almost the middle of April... we’d been sitting in lawn chairs. I told them that I did not want the couch that I would get it somewhere else and the girl proceeded to tell me “if you don’t purchase the couch, I don’t get paid...” Well lady, if I don’t have any furniture and have to wait that long, why would I get it from you. They then said they couldn’t deliver it until the last of May.. needless to say, we went ourselves to get it. They charged us more for sales tax because we went to Tennessee to pick it up although I purchased it in Virginia... when I called them to cancel the other furniture, they said we were contacted... heck no we were not.. I called and asked. Rude, unprofessional, AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.. I went somewhere else to get my couch and the delivered it the next week. Just go somewhere else to get your furniture.

Steven Wee at Ashley Home Store provided excellent customer service. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful.

Please I hope anyone that reads this takes this warning seriously. These people are not ashley and do not stand behind there products at all. I purchased furniture and it has been broken for more then a month and I can not even get a date to have someone come look at it. The store manager is great until you pay then if you have a problem you will spend days trying to find him then. The extended warranty company is the worst they just give excuses everytime they call. If anyone thinks it was just buying cheap furniture this set was more the 2500 on and broke at less then 4 months old. They also will not let you get to someone with any ability to help. I can not stress enough that the company that owns these stores is a ripoff artist and Ashley will not help either spent hours on the phone trying to get direct help and they just send you back to the store and tell them it is not there problem.

Steven was a great help for our family.

I purchased a entertainment center for my son for Christmas. The first thing is only a partial of the delivery was made. Second the top had a busted place about the size of a quarter. Third I called for several days every time someone giving me a different number to call. Fourth I was told to send pictures and they would see if they could take care of it. FIFTH I ASKED IF I COULD JUAT SEND IT BACK AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEIR WOULD BE A CHARGE FOR RESTOCKING!!!! WHAT???? That’s not all. My son bought a whole office set and it was delivered with the bottom shelf busted. He was told by the delivery guys they would order a piece and replace it but didn’t know how long that would be. I just received a call back from the Ashley store telling me it would be mid January before it will be taken care of and also the remainder of the entertainment center is in but I’ll have to call a different number to get out on the schedule and it could be next month!! This is the first bad review I have ever done on anyone but this is CRAZY!!! IM SO DISAPPOINTED!!

My husband and I went into the Ashley Store at the Bristol Va location this evening looking for a couch for our den. My first impression of the store was it was orderly, clean, and we were greeted immediately. William was the person who helped us out. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. He was not pushy by no means which is nice when you're trying to make a decision. He took time to talk to my children instead of viewing them as a liability. Alot of people see children and automatically treat you differently. Also, while deciding what furniture we were going to order he took us to something similar and showed us the kind of material that the couch had since we were looking at it on the website not in person. Overall, it was a great experience. Hassle free and he was very truthful with his awsners. Due to the time we're living in and the unfortunate part of covid he did explain that it would be 6-8 week minimum wait time. Little did he know we had an experience with another furniture store where we ordered furniture months ago and when I recently called about our order the salesman told me it would be another few months because it was out of stock when he told us it was in stock when we made our initial purchase. He was simply trying to make a sale and wasn't truthful with us. We don't mind waiting but at least be truthful. So a huge thank you to William for being 100% transparent with us and for just having good character. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for furniture!

Went into the Ashley Furniture store in Bristol VA looking for a recliner to go with our living room furniture. Courtney Campbell helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Edit of previous review -1/4/22 we have purchased furniture from this location three times over the past two years. I always come back to this store because the service that we receive is the best. Recently I was looking for new bedroom furniture. I had found some that I really liked. I could not make it into the store. But Rylee took the information and placed the order for my furniture. Thanks to Covid it may be 3+ months before I see the furniture. But I know that I can call the store and get an update anytime. 12/8/20 (previous review)We didn’t know that this store was in that location. We are in the process of remodeling our house and needed a new chair for the living room and an island for our kitchen. We have previously purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture. So we stopped in the store near Sams. Courtney Campbell met us at the door and helped us find exactly what we needed. She was very helpful and walked us thru the financing and delivery information. We have been to two other Ashley Home Stores in our area and the showroom at the distribution center in Gray. This store had the nicest employees, no question. We will definitely return to this store to buy more furniture from Courtney!

I had come in just to look and ask some questions before work and he was able to go through the whole process before I had to go to work! He was very nice and took the time to explain everything to ensure I understood what was going on. The table did take a little longer then anticipated but I know that’s not on the Ashley store. I really appreciated Steven’s assistance.

Couldn’t ask for better customer service at the Bristol Va store. William Thorne took his time with us, didn’t rush us, explained everything thoroughly. We were buying a king mattress set, William did the mattress test for each of us, so we would know firmness, then explained each mattress specs, we ended up buying the Sealy Kelburn. Delivered quickly, the delivery guys were very nice and courteous. Would definitely recommend this Ashley location.
