I was in the market for a new couch. When I walked in Ashley Furniture Store I was welcomed by Michael. He was very attentive without being pushy. I was looking for a durable fabric couch. He was very knowledgeable and honest about the options available. If you want excellent service, go see Michael.

Shawn is an outstanding representative and will do great in any Ashley Furniture store. I have been researching my home decor and knew the vision I saw for my home. As I entered the store, Shawn greeted me warmly and listened to the complete breakdown of my interest. He then walked me through the store to show me sectionals and sofa sets that met my criteria. He didn't try to force anything on me that didn't meet the requirements, which is what I respected the most. I fell in love with the initial modular sectional he showed me, and his knowledge in differentiating the many ways I get the set was beneficial as I could finally decide in 4 days based on my space configuration. I was in and out the day of purchase within 30-40 minutes due to his assistance via phone the morning of purchase. I had a bad customer service experience at another store in the area, and Shawn gained points back for Ashley Furniture as a whole—overall, it was a great experience. I received my new sectional today, and I forgot to mention how quickly the sectional arrived (9 days). I plan on being a repeat customer because of the excellent service I received from Shawn and the accounting team.

I bought some couches at a store nearby and was returning it (I was incorrectly told it would be delivered that weekend) and walked into this Ashley’s just to see if I’d be able to find a couch that would come in on time. Patricia was so honest on timelines which made us want to buy the couches through her regardless of the date it would come in. Luckily for us she was able find a solution to get our couches that same weekend (and it was delivered on time). She’s very sweet, honest and most importantly professional!

Austin was very patient with us as we strolled the store and look at different options. We actually came back with our youngest son to look at bedrooms set before making our total purchase. He also actively found as many discounts as he could which was greatly appreciated.

Updated: While Michael was helpful at the purchasing part, the entire rest of the experience has been dreadful. On the day of delivery, the dresser I ordered came with a huge crack on the back so I couldn’t accept. Additionally, they delivered the wrong bed size rails. This was on a Friday, they told me the next available day was the following Tuesday. So no bed for 4 nights for me. I called to try and expedite a few times, but each time I was told “the managers were in a meeting and would call me back”. No calls back. On Sunday, the store associate got me on a conference call with delivery, who said “actually Wednesday is the earliest”. There was 0 effort to expedite or help. I was given no alternatives because she said she just schedules deliveries, can’t help with my other problems. The sales associate said he would try to get me some compensation, after all, if I miss my delivery appointment window, I get charged. He said he’d escalated to the highest customer service person. It has been 3 weeks and when I checked in with him, he said he’s been making notes and trying to have his people call me to fix it, but nothing else he can do. So he gave me the customer service number. I know I’m just screaming at clouds here, but this is very poor customer service and I’m just one person, but I won’t purchase from here, or recommend Ashley store to anyone I know. I will actively discourage everyone. Once my money was received, that’s where the “customer service” part ended. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. Original post: Michael was very thorough and helpful throughout the whole process.

Erika helped me out and she is amazing. I was looking at other places like Grand Furniture and Bobs discount furniture and nothing really stood out. However, when i came in to Ashley Furniture i found the perfect table and ended up buying it. Erika was very quick and efficient. I’m definitely coming back here. The manager Andy was super friendly and all in all very welcoming. Will be coming back here :)

Erika was tremendously helpful and they price matched to their website without batting an eye. The clerks were patient with us goofing about and trying out every seat, and we enjoyed our time in the store. There is an expensive inventory on-site, along with stations throughout the store to view other inventory not present.

My husband and I set out to purchase a new mattress and planned on visiting many stores. When we walked into Ashley, Ty greeted us. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions (and we had a lot of them lol) with ease and wasnt salesman pushy either. I had a good experience with Michael and Tim helping me with a purchase of an adjustable bed with lumbar support, temperpedic mattress and a chair recliner also with lumbar support. Spent a good 2.5 hours looking through the various options. I wasnt rushed and recommend when looking at the beds to go back and forth between the various mattresses, they will all seem comfortable when you first lay down. Spend a good 10 minutes or more on each mattress shifting your hips in different positions as you may in your current bed; remember you're going to be on the mattress for the next ten plus years. I'm hoping this new setup will help with the pain I been waking up to for the past year.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT purchase the warranty through them , it is not through them even though they may say it is, its through a 3rd party. The warranty is a complete SCAM, it is like pulling teeth to get ANYWHERE with them and they will do anything to avoid repairing your furnature or even sending someone out to look at it. One year old recliner should not have died already

Terrible. Added my daughter to my acct. she bought furniture and the next morning, they wouldn’t let her dad pick it up when he showed up because they said she signed a middle initial on one of her signatures. So Michael said she’d have to pack up her babies annd come anll way back there to resign so I ended up having to drive up there and sign it. Terrible service. Never ever will I come here. Ever. Ever. Michael was also wrong because they kept me 25 minutes, redoing all of the paperwork as if I was buying it again and paying the money down. I’m a night nurse and so it was a huge dilemma for me to drive all the way up there with no sleep. I’m waiting on a manager to call me because I’m very very upset. This is terribly absurd That everything was signed and they were told everything was good and the deal was Never. Then took over 20 minutes to redo paperwork in my name.

Same store as Grand Furniture EXACTLY!! Same furniture available in each. The cost is a tad higher at Ashley. Store was clean and friendly. Delivery so far was ok and this concludes the positive. Now for the not so nice. They claim they have no interest ( this is more or less a lie ). They claim no interest but then they tack on 5% a year for death or loss fees. To me that is another way of saying interest. To each their own but you were warned. I am thinking furniture stores should be handled the same as used car sales.

Myself,my mother, my stepfather, and my sister were at The Greenbrier location today. Spent approximately 3 hours in the store. My sister has cerebral palsy and is in need of a great recliner. However to find a good one is hard to do so. We were greeted by a sales associate by the name of Ty. He spent the entire time with us as we were in the store, showing us all around and all the many different types of recliners. Ty was very knowledgeable on what each recliner had and what it did and what it didn't do. Things like this take more time than usual due to my sister's disability however Ty was very patient and very accommodating and very kind! Ty had a great personality, impeccable manners, and was a joy to be around considering we were in there for as many hours as we were.

I had a pleasure of doing business with the wonderful young man by the name of Ty he sold my daughter recliner and some other things in the store was so patient and kind, he knew the product, but while on the way to the bathroom I happened to see enormous pink flamingo painting in the foyer he was gracious and kind to take it off the wall and wrap it for me after spending three or four hours with all of us girls me and my daughters,.When you come in ask for ty you won't be disappointed if I could give 10 Stars I would!

Paid cash for a sectional March 23rd was told it would be in in a week maybe 2. Getting the run around for delivery and every excuse under the sun why its not even in stock! They do not sell what is available but have you wait and wait wait. Never buying another thing from here again.

Austin Malzow “sold” us a set of furniture and after we bought it in full decided that the price that we bought it for was not enough. We went to the store to understand what was happening and as we discussed the issue with the manager Austin was smirking and happy that we were upset about them cancelling our order or charging us $1000 more. The manager, Adam Beaber, was not respectful or kind when we came to discuss the issue. It took him a large amount of time to even come to the front and when he did he was rude. Adam Beaber walked away while we were trying to talk to him and did not listen to our concerns. I would not buy furniture from here and I do not recommend Austin Malzow, Adam Beaber or Ashley Furniture.

I called the Chesapeake Store from out of state trying to help my son, who is in the military, find a couch and have it delivered on a certain day. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jasper who went above and beyond to help me. I was frustrated starting this process and Jasper turned the whole situation around and helped me find a sofa, chair, and ottoman and helped me to make sure that it would be delivered within a certain time frame. After 2 years of looking, and 2 years since moving into a newly brand new built home we felt we did not want to jump into any large purchase until we knew it was something we really would want. So First my husband came in a couple days ago to look and narrow down some furniture after I went to another store to do the same. Then we met up to compare . Mike was thorough, patient and professional in every way. We felt heard, listened to and felt his sales approach was honest open and transparent having the ability to answer our questions with everything we threw his way. We changed our mind and almost changed the entire order even after the order was completely final and Mike didn’t even skip a beat. He paused went back to the screen showed us more numbers compared again, gave us all the options on a whole new sectional and different color options and after all that we needed up getting what we originally decided on. We have purchased upwards of $30k of furniture in the last 6 months from Ashley. We only work with Ty or Shawn and they’re a pleasure to deal with. Adam, the store manager, is a completely different story. We went today to look at office furniture and asked about two chairs that were not tagged. Adam’s response was that we could not purchase the chairs and that we were specifically excluded from any further sales or discounts. Mind you I was standing next to a sign advertising a sale on the items we asked about. I requested to speak with the owner, Matt, who happened to be in the main showroom next door at the time. We walked from the Outlet to the main showroom while being followed by Adam to be told that Matt had just left. That’s an amazing coincidence. Adam’s level of unprofessionalism, immaturity and blatant discrimination has left us with no choice but to spend our money elsewhere. He is passive aggressive, off putting and generally rude in his exchanges with his staff as well. That makes for an extremely uncomfortable shopping experience. If you do choose to shop at this location, stick with Ty and Shawn as they are the only employees who have any people skills or common sense. Further, 2 of the 4 pieces of our bedroom set that were delivered last month are broken, we are missing required components from an additional bedroom set, and we’re still waiting for delivery of a couch ordered months ago. Buyer beware.

De informed us on sales when we walked in gave us adequate time to look around by ourselves before coming to assist which we greatly enjoyed. De also got us the best deal available on our furniture an explained every process in great detail. Thank you De for your excellent customer service.

Absolutely horrible experience. Adam (Store Mgr.) was beyond difficult to work with. For customers coming in to take advantage of the holiday sales, Adam had no desire to help. Even after a misprint on a sales tag, Adam was quick to dismiss us and refer us to his supervisor for additional questions because he wasn’t interested is helping the multiple customers who had questions about a particular product. Aside from his poor appearance (his belly sticking out of his shirt) his people skills fell way short of the standards you would expect from a company like Ashley Furniture. We do highly recommend TY who worked diligently with Adam but was unsuccessful. But TY was able to help complete the deal.
