He was patient with us because we had to make several calls to my mother-in-law and take pictures and send them to her to see if she liked the chair. Jack was great.

Looking for furniture. Shopped many different stores. Went to Ashley’s. Conveniently greeted by Jasmine. So friendly and she just let us browse around and look for what we wanted, never hounding us, like we experienced at other furniture stores. After visiting 8 other furniture stores that day, we returned back to make the purchase at our original starting spot mainly because of the sales person Jasmine being so accommodative, knowledgeable and friendly. Great buying experience.

I was very disaappointed with salesman at the outlet. I decided to get the manager involved and I'm glad I did. He listened and made it right. I left there with a wonderful piece of fruniture and plan to go back. Every furniture store could benefit by the quality of care that Adam possess. Sadly, the salesperson cheated the store out of a 5 star review.

Delivered broken furniture. Promised full refund. After furniture was picked back up they’re trying to keep 1000$ of a 2800$ purchase. Stay away!

I previously in August gave the store a wonderful rating. It was a good sales experience however, after that, it was a total nightmare. They delivered my furniture, August 13. The only thing that were in good condition was the sofa, loveseat, buffet. Chairs of the dining room had scratches on them. The dining room table had flaws and nicks on top. The kitchen table didn’t even Have the hardware that the guys didn’t bring. That had flaws on top of it too. My house looked like a construction zone. The second attempt to the kitchen table was a success. The dining room table after three finally success now the chairs. That went on for weeks. I have Been accepting and declining different chairs. I was even on the phone with Miss Brown who was the only one helpful with the whole entire process. She even had a guy come out and balance them. You have to know that they use a third-party delivery company. They do not wrap the furniture very well. Most of the damage to happen. It was a nightmare going back-and-forth with people. Again, Miss Brown was the only one that would be nice enough to help me. I was not rude and she can say that I was not. As I thought everything came down that I was satisfied then my illness has started. Mouth burning and throat burning like a fire breathing dragon. Doctors believed it was acid reflex. Nope. And then going in through the procedure of an endoscopy. Totally proved nothing I had. I went to patient first and I was so inflamed on my throat all the way to the top of my head of infection. I was on two antibiotics, decongestant, nose spray. It’s been a ordeal. Why? The buffet, dining room table, and chairs. They have what you call VOC, which is in other words called off offgassing. So I’ve had to purchase a purifier with special charcoal filter, baking soda, more coffee, grinds, plus odor, eliminator, vinegar. I’ve taken and used all these different solutions to get the odor down from the furniture off gassing. These are toxic that are in the furniture that are coming out into your home to breathe. Yes they can be very harmful. The buffet has been the worst and it is now in my shed. The hotter it is the better the wood will cure and dry out. If you look underneath the buffet, the top underneath is not stained or sealed along with underneath the shelves And if you pull out the drawers, nothing in there as well. They cut corners. If you can’t see it, then they did not stain it and seal it. This causing the toxic gases from the wood to come out. You cannot close the doors on the buffet because the gas is stay inside and cannot get out. As for the chairs, all eight went into my shed for over two weeks so they can be in the heat. I put baking soda on the cushions so it will absorb and cure faster. Now with spraying the house with Febreze has caused the offgassing to increase. The chemicals in the Febreze and the VOCs of offgassing are triggered from any room air fresheners. So as I’m writing this, I highly do not recommend that you use Ashley furniture. Again they have cut corners and have given me toxic furniture. I also have my windows open, and the fans are circulating on high. This is cost me a lot of time, money, and all kinds of frustrations. Have I contacted them To let them know what I’m going through. The answer is no! Why? They are no not helpful at all. Once you leave the salesman, then your somebody else’s problem. Again Miss Brown, who is in the Virginia Beach store was the only person that helped me out. There are other things that happened during the delivery process that I did give to her to pass on to the management staff. Please wish me luck that when the heat comes on that the furniture hopefully will stop gassing by then. Pretty sad when you buy furniture and it’s gotta go in your shed so that you can breathe. As for anybody with Ashley furniture that is higher up in the company and that can assist. Please feel free to contact me. You’re welcome to come to my house and I can show you everything and you can smell it.

Patricia was very friendly and patient with us as we navigated a tight budget and needed flexibility for our purchases! The furniture we got is stunning and we can’t wait to have these pieces for years to come.

They’re currently an hour late on my delivery order. They give you a delivery time, ranging in three hours. I paid $70 to wait in my house all day for these delivery drivers to tell me they’re “seven minutes away” through text, over three hours ago. I’m sitting in my house, cannot do anything but wait for this delivery, because if you miss the delivery they charge you *again* for a redelivery fee. If you’re late, they charge you, but there’s no guarantee that if *the store* is late and wastes your time that you are reimbursed. It’s downright disrespectful. Ashley home stores mark their furniture up at least 3x what it’s worth by the way. At this store and the one next to it are dismissive, really do not have customer service or attitude.

Had a bad experience with these people, we brought what we thought was a leather couch and 2 years later the couch started getting splits in it, they did not honor the extended warranty that we paid for, they said that it was a Leather overlay. So what I take from that we were lied to, the couch was only 2 years old when that started happening, now I have to buy a new cou h because the splits have gotten so bad

Be careful on any sales that they have, especially anything with 0% interest for 12 month and get $1200 of free furniture. This is not true. We had to pay $600 for the "Free" furniture. The store front loads the interest onto any contract and you will still have to pay interest even if it is 0%. We canceled the contract before they called to setup any delivery. Leon & Michael serviced us and they were very vague on writing everything on the contract. They told us delivery was $99.00, but we were charged $276.00. The contract that they write up is passed to another person doing the contract that needs to be signed. It seems that they want to confuse customers and charge them an excessive amount. I assume that they get commission for all furniture that they sell.

Mike was our sales guy for both our sectional and dining room set. On two separate occasions he was helpful, attentive and approachable. I couldn’t recommend him and ashley furniture more!!

My one star review got deleted so I am reposting it - Ashley Furniture was so rude and disrespectful to my family and the manager refused to help us. They doubled the price of the furniture even though we had already paid for it and then would not honor their previous commitment. The manager was unhelpful, rude and walked away from us in the middle of the conversation.

Tyvon nailed it. Normally shopping for furniture is much like walking onto a used car lot. The salespeople swarm you and you walk a little faster to avoid conversation about the weather or an obsolete awkward silence filler. My daughter and I walked in. He greeted us and said, “I may be the person helping you.” and we continued our stroll uninterrupted. We perused along and jumped on all the beds. Saw how far back the recliners could go and checked to see what furniture looked as uncomfortable as it was. After hearing the other awkward conversations forced into the other sales pitches and chuckling to ourselves we found her bedroom set. Ty broke down the prices, gave us a quick discount option and looked up any package deals that would save us a few clams. We walked out and handled everything else through text and phone calls. Tyvon was extremely prompt to respond every step of the way including a possible assembly issue. As a man that has little time or patience to make small talk, and even less to please his teenaged daughter, we had the deal sealed and the furniture set up in less than 24 hours. Give this dude a raise or a seat on the board. Or whatever civilian employers do for recognition these days. 🫡

Would not purchase from them again. Placed an order mid May and was told that our items would arrive the first week of June. Half of our order is supposed to arrive today, which is the second week of June. The delivery is already and hour overdue from the timeframe that was scheduled. The other half of our order is now not going to arrive till the end of June or later. I would have never ordered these items if I knew that it was going to take this long. Also instead of one day, we know have to schedule 2 days to be at home for the deliveries. Very unhappy with the outcome of this purchase and will be looking elsewhere in the future for furniture.

Good customer service by Timothy although I was unable to get the furniture piece I wanted. Also didn’t like that they had 50% off on the furniture when it was 40% they honored the 50 but then I was told a day later that the frame of the bed was an extra $200 and wasn’t I stick for a month. I was given a refund a day later.

It's been over a month trying to get my couch delivered. 2 times the brought the wrong item then last week the couch came damaged now Im told it will be 2 weeks before it can be delivered. Dissatisfied and Misled — Beware of Ashley’s GBS Premier Warranty Scam I’m extremely dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture, specifically regarding their so-called GBS Premier Warranty, which is nothing more than a scam. I was shocked to learn that, according to their own representatives, the warranty doesn’t cover rips, staples falling out, or cushion deformation due to regular use—which are exactly the types of issues you’d expect to be covered. After going in circles with customer service agents—many of whom seemed to struggle with English and offered little clarity—it became obvious that nothing is truly covered under this “protection plan.” It took several days just to get a straight answer on what was actually included. I eventually requested to cancel the warranty, which I was told I had the right to do. Then the runaround began. I received a call from someone who finally spoke clear English, telling me the cancellation had to be done at the store where I purchased the furniture. I went to the store—only to be told to call customer service. When I called back, I was told yet again to go back to the store. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, they told me to call the warranty department again. I even asked for a three-way call to resolve the issue, and they flatly refused. This is the last time I will ever purchase anything from Ashley Furniture or Grand Furniture. In my opinion, this warranty is nothing but a deceptive way to pocket more money from customers, offering zero real protection or accountability in return. Be warned: this is not a warranty—it’s a scam.

I would like to start by saying that I absolutely do not recommend this furniture company. Google should definitely add a zero-star option. The sales representative was helpful, but aside from that, I was not satisfied with anything. I placed an order for a sofa at Ashley Furniture Chesapeake store. They told me they would contact me soon to schedule the delivery. After two days, I received a message saying I could only choose a Sunday, despite there being more than 10 days ahead. I told them that I was available before 11 AM or after 3 PM, but they scheduled it for 12:30 - 3:30 PM. When I tried to change the time, they asked for an extra $100. I had to rearrange all my other plans because of their schedule, but I was still happy because the sofa was on its way. On Sunday, they arrived around 12:45 PM, brought the sofa into the living room, and discovered that a part was wrong/ missing. I told them to complete it today no matter what, but the delivery staff didn’t have any spare parts with them. I called the store, but no one answered, even though the store was open on Sundays. Then, I called customer service and explained the situation, insisting that they complete the delivery that day because I had no other options. They didn’t help and told me that it would arrive in two weeks, as there were no spare parts at the store. Right now, the L-shaped sofa I paid $1250 for is unusable because one part is lower than the other. The same model is available in their showroom, and I even offered to let them bring that one, thanking them and leaving without saying anything. But they didn’t want to do that either. Despite my refusal to accept used goods, they didn’t assist me. They made no effort to ensure my satisfaction. Instead, they told me they would send me a message in two weeks to reschedule. In other words, they would choose the date and time again, forcing me to rearrange everything once more. I have never seen a store operate so amateurishly. Even I...A or second-hand shops are more professional than this.

One of the worst experience that I ever had, sales was good but delivery and quality of the items delivered was very poor. It took two months and multiple follow ups to deliver the purchased items. Dining table and dresser came damaged, google form to report the damages were not working. Customer care was not helpful, ended up in going to the store directly to report the damage and get help. Even the replacement dining table came as damaged, still waiting for the proper replacement. Overall very poor experience :(

Shawn is an outstanding representative and will do great in any Ashley Furniture store. I have been researching my home decor and knew the vision I saw for my home. As I entered the store, Shawn greeted me warmly and listened to the complete breakdown of my interest. He then walked me through the store to show me sectionals and sofa sets that met my criteria. He didn't try to force anything on me that didn't meet the requirements, which is what I respected the most. I fell in love with the initial modular sectional he showed me, and his knowledge in differentiating the many ways I get the set was beneficial as I could finally decide in 4 days based on my space configuration. I was in and out the day of purchase within 30-40 minutes due to his assistance via phone the morning of purchase. I had a bad customer service experience at another store in the area, and Shawn gained points back for Ashley Furniture as a whole—overall, it was a great experience. I received my new sectional today, and I forgot to mention how quickly the sectional arrived (9 days). I plan on being a repeat customer because of the excellent service I received from Shawn and the accounting team.

I bought some couches at a store nearby and was returning it (I was incorrectly told it would be delivered that weekend) and walked into this Ashley’s just to see if I’d be able to find a couch that would come in on time. Patricia was so honest on timelines which made us want to buy the couches through her regardless of the date it would come in. Luckily for us she was able find a solution to get our couches that same weekend (and it was delivered on time). She’s very sweet, honest and most importantly professional!

Austin was very patient with us as we strolled the store and look at different options. We actually came back with our youngest son to look at bedrooms set before making our total purchase. He also actively found as many discounts as he could which was greatly appreciated.

Updated: While Michael was helpful at the purchasing part, the entire rest of the experience has been dreadful. On the day of delivery, the dresser I ordered came with a huge crack on the back so I couldn’t accept. Additionally, they delivered the wrong bed size rails. This was on a Friday, they told me the next available day was the following Tuesday. So no bed for 4 nights for me. I called to try and expedite a few times, but each time I was told “the managers were in a meeting and would call me back”. No calls back. On Sunday, the store associate got me on a conference call with delivery, who said “actually Wednesday is the earliest”. There was 0 effort to expedite or help. I was given no alternatives because she said she just schedules deliveries, can’t help with my other problems. The sales associate said he would try to get me some compensation, after all, if I miss my delivery appointment window, I get charged. He said he’d escalated to the highest customer service person. It has been 3 weeks and when I checked in with him, he said he’s been making notes and trying to have his people call me to fix it, but nothing else he can do. So he gave me the customer service number. I know I’m just screaming at clouds here, but this is very poor customer service and I’m just one person, but I won’t purchase from here, or recommend Ashley store to anyone I know. I will actively discourage everyone. Once my money was received, that’s where the “customer service” part ended. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. Erika helped me out and she is amazing. I was looking at other places like Grand Furniture and Bobs discount furniture and nothing really stood out. However, when i came in to Ashley Furniture i found the perfect table and ended up buying it. Erika was very quick and efficient. I’m definitely coming back here. The manager Andy was super friendly and all in all very welcoming. Will be coming back here :)

Erika was tremendously helpful and they price matched to their website without batting an eye. The clerks were patient with us goofing about and trying out every seat, and we enjoyed our time in the store. There is an expensive inventory on-site, along with stations throughout the store to view other inventory not present.

My husband and I set out to purchase a new mattress and planned on visiting many stores. When we walked into Ashley, Ty greeted us. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions (and we had a lot of them lol) with ease and wasnt salesman pushy either. I had to downgrade this after 6 weeks since October, after dealing with their customer service. Their delivery people are such jerks. They want to charge me double for delivery when they can't even give me a smaller timeframe of when they are coming. I'm available the morning but I can't be available 12 hours, why cant you give me a four hour window. They then said if I cancelled 2 days before Hand which is when they said they would narrow down a window they won't deliver it unless I pay double for delivery. You haven't done anything what are you doing doubling the delivery when you've done nothing but call and tell me your charging me double and cant even communicate what time you are delivering. What a scam charging double for delivery. I spent probably close to 20k with this store since I bought my house and they treat you like this. This one purchase was over 7500. Also don't ever get a temperpedic mattress. The soft is hard as a rock and I'm in more pain with the temperpedic than my old mattress. That's not the sellers fault but a bad product, $4k plus down the drain.
