I had a really good experience working with Jessica while looking for a new couch. I came in interested in the Midnight Madness sofa, and they took the time to show me the different color options and talk through what might actually work best in my apartment. They were patient and easy to talk to, and I appreciated that they listened to my vision instead of trying to push a sale. They helped me think through style, layout, and what would make sense long term, which made the whole process feel much less overwhelming. Overall, Jessica was thoughtful, helpful, and genuinely supportive throughout the process. If you’re couch shopping and want someone who takes the time to help you figure out what you want, I’d definitely recommend working with them.

Ashley furniture delivered a sleeper sofa that contained a moldy mattress a few months ago. New mattress was delivered today but the Ashley furniture delivery team refused to install the sofa cover for the pull out mechanism or mattress. Delivery person was extremely rude to myself and the Ashley Furniture Customer Service team member that was on the phone. The entire couch needs to be replaced due to the possibility of contamination of mold.

My sales associate was very patient, kind, and helpful. I was very undecided, due to trying to stay within my budget. But Jessica P. never tried to rush me or coerce me into making a quick decision. I would highly recommend Jessica P. to anyone looking to buy furniture and wanting a great experience.

I wouldn’t have given this one star, but the customer service department was awful. I recently purchased a furniture sectional with a dining room set. My items were delivered 2 weeks ago, after receiving the dining room set it was not at my liking, the cushion were an off color, that didn’t go with the table, after contacting customer service, the young lady I spoke to, said you signed for it , I explained to her the situation, she asked me to send pictures to an email, sent a day after talking to her, never received a response.. left several messages, still waiting for a return phone call.. guess I’m stuck with this table.. so I won’t be shopping there again.

Do not buy from this furniture store they would not exchange your furniture if you don’t like how it looks when it’s set up in your house even though their policy says they accept exchanges just not returns. If you are 100% sure it’s a piece of furniture you like go for it otherwise think twice or look for a better furniture store .

If I could I would give this store 0 starts just for everyone know they would know take back any furniture after they delivery to your house . Even if it’s nothing wrong with it and you don’t like how it looks in your house they would not take back . Be careful when you do business with this furniture store .

BRAND NEW!!! Ashley furniture dining room table set. I paid over 600$. It still has the tags. Just delivered last Saturday. There is NOTHING wrong with this item. I just don’t like the way it looks in my house. Unfortunately Ashley furniture will not exchange the table unless it is defective in some way. Hoping to sell for at least 500$.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Defective Sectional Couch and Denied Warranty/Insurance Claims Dear Ashley Furniture Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding a sectional couch I purchased from your Colonial Heights store approximately one year ago for a little over $3,000. Over the past year, the couch began to squeak excessively, suggesting either a loose frame or a manufacturing defect. Because I purchased a $300 Montage insurance package at the time of sale, I contacted the store to file a claim. I was directed to Montage, the third-party insurance company, which reviewed and denied my claim, stating that the issue appeared to be a manufacturer defect and therefore not covered under the insurance policy. Following their instruction, I contacted the manufacturer directly to file a warranty claim. Unfortunately, the manufacturer declined the claim and referred me back to the insurance company. This resulted in a frustrating cycle of being passed back and forth between both parties without resolution. In an attempt to resolve the matter, I visited the Colonial Heights store in person, where the manager offered to file the claim on my behalf. I recently received an email stating that this claim was also denied. At this point, I feel I have exhausted every reasonable option. I paid for both the furniture and the protection plan in good faith, yet neither has provided the coverage or customer service promised. I have also left multiple voicemails with Ashley Furniture’s customer service department and have not received a return call. All I am asking is for my couch to be repaired or replaced as warranted. I believe it is unacceptable for customers to pay for protection plans and warranties that ultimately provide no assistance or accountability. I strongly urge Ashley Furniture to review my case and make this right. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing furniture or insurance packages from Ashley Furniture, as the claims process has proven ineffective and misleading.

Very bad customer service. They do not inform you of delivery prices. I was charged 590.00$ for a 10 mile delivery and they added it to my charge card. No company I have dealt with has ever added a delivery charge on my store card unless it was coming from out of state.This store is very deceptive so buyer beware and get your receipt for goods purchased handed to you before you leave the store!! Would not want other people to experience that type of hidden information and have their money taken . If they can get your hard earnrd money in their pocket they certainly will. This was Ashley Home Store Colonial Heights. They will not ever get my business or my family and friends business.

I bought a new couch here recently and I love it. My fiancé and I did have trouble getting some help in store but I won’t take off stars for that. I’m pretty patient. We weren’t greeted when we walked in or checked on at any point, which was about 45 mins. We stood near the desk for a bit too while workers walked by and we still weren’t acknowledged at least. I do take into account that they were busy with other sales but we didn’t have anybody say anything to us. Not a hello or we’ll be with you soon or do you need help. So I waited for a sales worker to finally get freed up, and it was Jacob. I asked him if he can help us bc we had been waiting a long time and nobody seemed to see us. He was really apologetic and helped us right away. For being a new employee, he was doing very well! 👍🏼 Now they do have a decent collection of furniture, most of which isn’t my style but luckily we found a sectional we liked. I wish it had more color options but I just got covers for it in a color I wanted. Problem solved. It was delivered within and week which was great! Communication from the delivery driver was excellent too. It is a pricey store so I recommend using their financial option if you’re more tight on money like me. Overall I’m happy with the new couch and the customer service I received from Jacob. Thank you! 😊

AMAZING LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE this store and workers... I was a little skeptical about purchasing my furniture for my first home and from a bigger store like this, especially because I am not the most knowledgeable in furniture specifics, but one of the associates a young lady who goes by the name of Kasey was a SUPER help. She took her time and helped me figure out my types of sleeping and the best affordable furniture for me. Give that girl a raise because she is STUPENDOUS at what she does, very knowledgeable on what she is selling and after a prompt but in depth conversation a very sweet girl. We purchased a. Sectional and waited 3 months to receive it and when they delivered it it was damaged. We have been trying to get them to replace the damaged piece and they sent us cloth to put over top of the damaged area. I've recontacted their customer service and have heard no response

You would be receiving a negative star if it was possible. I am so disgusted with James. James convinced me to apply for a loan even though I told him my credit suck and I was trying to rebuild it. The recliner price was $699. In the end, the recliner went from $699 to $1027 with protection, delivery, and taxes.. After signing the paper and getting home, I realized they had set me up with a lease to own agreement. It states the price of $929 cash price with a 90-day same as cash, but if I continue the lease agreement for 12 months, this $699 recliner would cost me well over $2300.. Not today, Satan! I can't wait until 8 am. So I can call and stop delivery, and tell them to take that lease agreement and shove it where the sun don't shine! If I wanted rent to own, I would have gone to a rent to own store... This business practice is unacceptable. I will never step foot in another Ashley furniture store...

Our sales representative, Gene was amazing. We just went into the store to look for options on a bed. I get very turned away from a pushy sales person. Gene was not pushy, but quite the opposite. He was very attentive and informative and showed us different way of getting the price point down to a number we were satisfied with and getting the exact product we wanted. I have not been happy with my experience. The salesperson was nice, we liked our selection, but it seems like months. We received part of our order and dates for the rest of our shipment to come in come and pass, but nothing. No calls, no follow up. When I call to track it myself a new date is given to expect shipment, and that comes and goes. In just a few weeks we will be starting on our 4th month of waiting on our furniture

We had such a fantastic experience. Keith helped us find a couch set. He was very professional, gave us space to look and still checked in. He was not pushy at all. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The lady who helped us with financing I believe her name was kiki was also wonderful. Everyone at the store was friendly and helpful.

Noura was very helpful and considerate and was so pleasant and interactive with our toddler as he was awaiting his new big boy bed purchase!

I recently went to Ashley in search of a new bedroom set. Noura approached me and guided me to all of the things we needed. She took her time with me, explaining things about mattresses, foundations and other bedroom accessories. I thought I was done, and went home with a good feeling. Now, change 2. The pieces I picked out were totally wrong, after talking with my wife, and I needed a redo! I went back to the store the next morning, found Noura, and explained. She told me, "No problem!" Then got to work. We exchanged all the pieces that needed to be, asked about options, we set those, and all is well. Noura made my shopping experience at Ashley outstanding!!!

Do not go to this store! They will promote 0% interest but not talk about how that’s only with 20% down. Additionally, they take forever to deliver furniture. Was told it would be 3 weeks from date of purchase to have furniture delivered and now I’m hoping to get my furniture in the next 6 weeks. I’m not holding my breath based on my experience and prepared to cancel the entire order if they fail to deliver on the next date. Customer service is awful. They only give you a 1 day heads up to schedule delivery window (vs 3 days at Rooms to Go) and there’s no option to change. So basically you have to clear your entire day to wait on furniture to be delivered. I’ve done this TWICE during the Xmas holidays only to be canceled on and given a future delivery date. It’s been a disaster dealing with them. Long customer service wait times. I’m transferred constantly to different people and there’s zero empathy or care from anyone on the Ashley’s furniture team. One customer service rep said he would transfer me to the store to get delivery compensation. I get transferred to the store and they transfer me back to the HQ because they refuse to give me credit. The person from HQ that I spoke with literally said that the store was not going to process compensation and did not want to deal with me. This will be my last time ever ordering anything from Ashley’s again. Absolutely horrible company and customer service.

My husband and I visited this store about two weeks ago, and our experience hasn't at right with me. While shopping in the Colonial Heights, VA store to get ideas for Christmas, a salesman named Gene approached us. He seemed super friendly and ready to help when we were looking at mattresses. However, during the first few minutes of interaction, he casually brought his arm up to his chest and made a noise to imitate a special needs person in an attempt to get his point across. Considering the social climate we are in, we found it incredibly disturbing and offensive that someone would behave this way, especially in what should be a professional setting. I hope that this complaint is taken seriously. This experience has made us decide that the Ashley brand will not be one in our household if this is the type of behavior that they allow in their stores.

My account got hacked like not my card my whole entire account. So the automatic payment didn’t go through, but I’d never got a call. They say I got a call, but I did not get a call so that will be the last time I shop at Ashley furniture. Not only does the late fee not add up because it’s a $40 late fee that now turned into $149 late fee! The numbers don’t reconcile at all & the most customer unfriendly people when I called to explain my situation. The one person hung up on me and the other person left me on hold until I finally finally hung up. I’ve already shredded the card and I will never shop and Ashley furniture ever

We bought a couch in February of 2023 for $1,400 and it’s been nothing but issues. We got the warranty and they made it sound like almost everything was covered. Since April we have had an open case with the warranty company because the seat cushions are falling apart at the seams. After looking at updated reviews online (it had 2-3 5 star reviews when we bought it) it now has several 1 star reviews. So obviously this is not an us issue but a fabric issue. Today they denied our case claiming that it falls under “pilling and fraying” and not “rips and tears”. Of course these fine print details were not told to us when we bought and we were also told this fabric was easy to clean and good for us since we had kids. Obviously now a lie told to our faces. The chaise has already been replaced once because the zipper on it broke. Also looked online to see if I could just buy the cushion cover ourselves and I would be looking at $400+ shipping for 4 cushion covers!!I have left voicemails for Ashley furniture customer service and the store itself. (I have not heard back yet) and the warranty company has been a lost cause I asked to talk to a higher up and was told that was not something he could do. Unless I hear back from Ashley furniture I’m not sure what to do. Being a one income household another $1000+ couch just isn’t an option. Will change my review if resolved.

Today, we returned and looked for James C.; we’d measured our space to ensure everything would fit well and were ready to purchase. He remembered our names and even the furniture we’d seemed the most interested in the previous day. He was honest, forthright, and thorough as he walked us line by line through the e-paperwork. UPDATE MAR ‘24: I am disappointed with the delivery aspect of this store. I was given a delivery date/time window which was sent to me by email and text. That day came and nothing. I tried to call central customer service, which is impossible to get a hold of. When I finally got someone, the rep told me that my delivery was not on the route that day. I was angry because i rearranged my day for this. The rep couldn’t give me a new delivery date. I called the CH store directly and no one was answering the phones/machine said the story was closed. On a random weekday? So I had to go to the store to understand what was happening. At the CH store, I spoke with someone name Kayla. She was very nice, but asked i call back in a few days because my mattress was still on backorder. How is a product that was already confirmed to be delivered still on backorder??? I called back Kayla a few days later and she gave me a new date for the following week (which is now about 2 weeks later from the original date i got). Honestly had no trust that this new date was solid but whatever. It ended up being delivered on the date she gave me. Nice people in this store, but the logistics are awful. If you need something quickly or need to stay home from work to wait for a delivery, I recommend double thinking Ashley. The purpose of our visit my family was looking for a mattress that we had seen a few weeks earlier. Belinda came to help us out and still broke everything down for us as if we had never seen the mattress. She was very patient with us. She made us feel like we made a right decision. Everyone was very nice who helped us in the process. If you plan on visiting, make sure your day is free because this team really takes their time to make sure all the details are in order. Luckily you get to sit back on the comfy sofas! Thank you Belinda and team for your great customer service.

I am so happy with my new power-reclining sectional. Ms. Belinda was so extremely helpful with choosing the right furniture to add to my living room. She was so pleasant to work with. She greeted me with a smile when I first arrive to the store. She took the time to find out actually what I was looking for. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to purchase anything. I am so glad that I picked this beautiful grey sectional. It brings so much brightness and life to my living which is where I spend most of my time. The delivery was super fast as well. I ordered my sectional on Feb 3rd and it arrived today Feb 10th. I appreciate the outstanding customer service from Ms. Belinda. she was so patient with me and she even called me to ensure that I was happy with my purchase. I also ordered a Lift Top Cocktail table that is on back order. My fur baby Layla also loves it! I would give 10 Stars if I could.

So, I came in here with my parents they were visiting from out of town. They are currently remodeling their home and looking for something new. We came in here and met an amazing guy and employee Angel. He took his time with them and answered all questioned with confidence and knowledge to back it. My parents who are usual skeptical and very cautious were made very comfortable and they made the right choices for them. Extremely please with Angels service and the whole experience. I would recommend this location over all the others I’ve been too. If you go, be sure to ask for my guy Angel.

The store gorgeous, the service outstanding. We shopped at 3 different stores in the area. Nothing compares to the experience we received from Angle our sales expert. UPDATE- she went up there and spoke to a DIFFERENT manager named Mr. Jordan who said her couch will be delivered 01/26. If this happens I will change my review! Thank you Mr. Jordan! My mother in law Angela bought a customized couch from here. She ordered it at the beginning of December. Paid in FULL December 10th. Not only did they deliver the WRONG couch they ripped the power lines down in front of the house and didn’t do anything about it. After they delivered the wrong couch they made a promise to have the correct one to her in her in TWO weeks. The manager made this promise himself via email. After two weeks passed she reached out twice via email with no response. NO response. It is now 01/23/24.. As someone who’s been in management positions with customer service her entire life this is unacceptable. My mother in law now has to take time off from work to go up there to get some type of communication since no one can respond to her via email or by phone. SHES GOING ON MONTH TWO WITH NO COUCH AND NO offered solution!!! No offered discounts!! NO COMMUNICATION?!?! This is unacceptable and I DONT recommend ordering anything from this company. It’s not hard to be patient or understanding with a company when they communicate. It’s not hard to have compassion for companies who are behind or struggling when they communicate but no communication and no solution is absolutely uncalled for.
