Multiple issues with this Ashley Furniture store, but I'll begin with the purchasing process. Please be advised that what they will not tell you upfront is that you have two options to pay 1) pay in full on the spot or 2) required to apply and use their credit card to purchase the items. Ashley Furniture has only electronic versions of the terms and conditions documents located at the store when I was there - so when my partner and I were reading the terms and conditions, the sales associate took it upon himself to click by himself the 'accept' button. We asked the sales associate to undo that action and go back so that we could continue reading the terms and conditions, and if we agreed to them, then we would click accept ourselves. The sales associate said there was no process to electronically return to the terms and conditions page. We asked for a physical form of the terms and conditions, and they said they do not carry them at the store. Additionally, as we were trying to locate a physical copy, our sales associate loudly announced that the credit card had been approved and said we needed to buy more because we hadn't reached the credit limit. This all was highly unprofessional, unacceptable, and reckless. Cut to months later when the mattress and bedframe finally arrive. The mattress was fine for the first few months, but it started to sink on one side. This was a one-sided mattress, and we rotated it, thinking the mattress would fix itself, and it did not - it got worse. We sent pictures and descriptions of the mattress and emphasized that it had not even been 1 year, and the sinkage was already visible. The store sent out a third-party company to measure the sinkage, and it totaled 0.5 inches, and they argued that the warranty only covers 1.0+ inches. We explained the basic concept that it's not even been a year, and the bed has sunk already halfway to the warranty requirement, so it's clearly a malfunction that should be replaced. They rejected our claim and closed that book. I would not recommend Ashley Furniture.

I need to edit my initial positive review and rating due to the manager’s unprofessional behavior and handling of an issue regarding inconsistent messaging from a salesperson and their questionable and unethical sales tactics (i.e. telling us one price and telling another customer a much higher price for the same item in front of us; pushing us to immediately give him a 5-star review on Google even before the transaction was finalized and actually touching my husband’s phone to give a thumbs up). We get that salespeople need to get a commission and franchises may have different policies compared to the corporate website, and this was explained to us in a calm and professional manner by Wassim, but only after the manager (didn’t catch his name, but he wears glasses) was immediately super defensive, condescending, dismissive and aggressive in tone, cutting us off, and raising his voice and walking away even after I accepted the initial explanation of the price difference online versus in store. At that point, my main concern was that rather than apologizing for the misunderstanding and actions of his staff at the beginning of the conversation and explaining the situation in a civil and professional manner, he came at us with guns blazing, refusing to acknowledge until well after he was called out on it that his staff messed up. I get it - employees make mistakes and to be honest, I wasn’t even mad about that. At the end of the day, we just wanted a straight explanation in a calm manner, and it was given to us by Wassim, NOT the manager/supervisor. Perhaps we shouldn’t have been that surprised at this manager’s behavior because earlier, while we were waiting for the transaction to be processed, we overheard him speaking in a similar aggressive manner to another customer. Granted, that customer was a bit more assertive than us, but he still shouldn’t have been on the phone on the sales floor, within earshot of other customers, loudly complaining about the situation and being quite nasty. Even if the customer was wrong, you walk away and vent - not do it in front of prospective buyers. The explanation we got from his apologetic colleague for his behavior was that he was “new,” but that’s not really a valid excuse for someone in a leadership role. Anyway, once we were able to have a civil and more professional discussion with Wassim and the transaction was adjusted, we were fine. This just all could have been prevented if the message was consistent from all parties at the very beginning.

This one star is a reflection of the questionable ethics in the building and the manager, didn't catch his name, some white guy with glasses and ill-fitting clothes who was completely stand-offish and unprofessional. Walked away in the middle of us discussing our issue. We had an issue with how our salesperson misrepresented pricing and policy (namely price matching) and MAKING us give him a 5-star review even before the transaction was complete. He even went as far as TOUCHING MY PHONE, SELECTING THE THUMBS UP AND ATTEMPTING TO RATE HIMSELF WHILE MY PHONE WAS STILL IN MY HAND! We were directly told by the salesperson that "if you see a lower price ANYWHERE", we could price match online. We later went back to the store only to have the manager tell us that, because they are a franchise, they don't do that, not even with Ashley's own website. They basically only price match themselves. Fine, we were understanding of that once it was explained. Again, the main issue was with the lack of transparency and misrepresentation by our salesperson. When we expressed this, the manager immediately became defensive and aggressive, continuously talking over us and doing everything but apologize or accept any sort of accountability on behalf of him or his salespeople. He kept repeating that our total price was less than what we would get online "and that's how franchises work". We reiterated that we understood the explanation, but our problem was we were lied to. He then abruptly walked away while my wife was still talking. Only after Wassim began to help us resolve our issue did the manager return and admit things were communicated poorly. While he eventually apologized for the poor communication, he never once apologized for his behavior. Sad thing is that none of these behaviors will be corrected. The manager should be in a cubicle, not in a customer-facing leadership role. P.S. Fingers crossed that we don't get punished for our honesty and that we actually get our furniture.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. My experience with this store was terrible. I was overcharged and received poor customer service throughout the experience. Additionally their protection plans are a rip off and do not actually do anything if your items are damaged. I purchased a table and four chairs with a protection plan from Ashley on May 14, 2022. I was very excited by my purchase and when I got home from the store looked up my table online to send pics to friends and family. At this point I noticed the table was over $260 cheaper online. I called the sales person and after a lot of back and forth they agreed to reimburse me for half the difference. They claimed they couldn’t give me the full difference because I’d get the money back on my warranty if I didn’t use it and their delivery included set up of the table. I begrudgingly agreed because I liked the table a lot. On July 26, 2022 my table and chairs was delivered. I checked the top and the base and everything looked fine so I signed off on the table. There was a black line in the table top but it was minor so I let it go. Unfortunately due to some health issues I wasn’t able to use the table immediately. I finally got to enjoy a meal at my table on August 10th. As I was eating I noticed a rough spot on the side of the table. At this point I noticed a crack. I inspected the entire endge of the table and noticed 3 cracks. I called the store the next day and I sent them pictures. Eight days later the store came back and stated the cracks were cosmetic so there was nothing they could do. Additionally all defects must be reported within 72 hours and there were no allowances for health issues. But they said to contact my protection plan and they could take care of it. I called the protection plan and opened a claim. Unfortunately they said that they also couldn’t help me either. My protection plan is for 5 years but anything in the first year falls on the store so I should call them back with my claim number. I called the store back only to be told no but I could appeal to the service center. I did this and was told because I’d reported damages outside of the 72 hour window after delivery there was nothing I could do and this decision could not be changed. They said to call the protection plan company back and explain this and this it’s on them to fix. The protection plan company said that because the damages could have occurred prior to or during delivery it wasn’t covered. Only accidents caused by the customer were covered. Because I couldn’t remembered a specific incident causing the damage it was on the store to fix. In all I’ve made over 10 phone calls and every time I’ve been told it’s the responsibility of another party. I will never purchase anything from this Ashley or any other Ashley furniture store again. This was my first expensive furniture purchase and I am extremely disappointed. Not only did they refuse to fix or replace the table, no offer was made to provide even a partial refund or a store credit.

We have had a good year 2021 except this TRAUMA. We purchased a sectional sofa in Dec 2020 from Ashly Furniture Falls church, VA and we were told it would be delivered within 4-12 weeks. however, we did not receive it until may/June 2021. after we received the sofa, the quality was not good enough. So, We needed to return part of the sofa & paid additional $100 pick-up fee and then the store wanted to charge us 30% restocking fee. We spoke to customer service & due to their late delivery timeline & poor customer Service communication, they agreed to charge us 10% cancelation fee instead. After a few back and forth with them, we went to Ashly furniture falls church to get our refund. one of the customer manager we spoke to reiterate that we were to be charged 10% fee-not 30%. The store manager disagreed & insisted that he's going to charge us 30%. We repeated to him the conversations we've been having with them, but the store manager (he said his name is Ray) and he was not even wearing a name tag) escalated it...started shouting & yelling at us. This was unnecessary so we started recording our interaction."Ray" demanded that we stopped recording, or he'll call the police & said,"I PROMISE YOU, I WILL GET YOU ARRESTED" We told him that was his choice to do so. He called 911 & claimed that he was being "harassed" by a customer; we called 911 as well & told the police what was really happening.When the Police arrived, "Ray” asked the police to make us delete the recording & escort us out.The Police told him we had every right to record the conversation as the Police himself was recording this event as well.The Police told us to deal with the refund issue with the appropriate party & to keep paper trail. We submitted compliant to BBB and we received our refund a couple of weeks ago. This process has been physically, emotionally draining & it has been causing unnecessary distress to us. BBB to take the appropriate measure as there are multiple complaint online & this store manager/location to be held accountable for the emotional distress they have caused to customers. Two stars because I like their furniture - buying experience & customer service is terrible. In store experience : I had looked online and found a loveseat I liked for $580. I went into the Falls Church store and saw the loveseat listed in-store for $1500! YIKES. The sales person asked me if I was interested and I said yes, but I was not going to pay the in-store fee. He said he was able to honor the fee I saw online, but I had to show him on the website because he did not initially believe me. I was right though and the current price of the item was about 1/3 of what I saw on the store pricetag. I did not like that had I not done my own research, i would have only been offered a fee almost 3 times the price. It made me very skeptical of buying anything else. He told me there would be a $250 delivery fee on top, but that it was going to be the same online. He said we could have it delivered within 5 business days, great! I walked around the store and when I came back I waited for about 15 minutes in line to be helped... but then I gave up. If I can get the same price online, what is the incentive for buying in-store? However, my online experience was not great either. First, I found that it was going to be 6 weeks before it could be delivered. Since the person in store told me 5 days I called the Falls Church Store. They said they couldn't take credit card over the phone so if I wanted quick delivery I needed to come back to the store. I said I would rather wait 6 weeks. i don't own a car and I had such a negative experience it wasn't worth it. It worked out because I discovered online that my $250 delivery fee was waived! So thank goodness I didn't buy in-store, the sales associate was not telling the truth that i couldn't get a cheaper deal online. But the other part I did not like is that the price of the item was charged as a pending fee to my credit card every week! Every single week i got a new credit card charge and the old one had disappeared. They were not charging me multiple times, but it is impossible to budget accordingly when your cc statement is constantly fluctuating. I did not like this. Finally, I didn't get a say in my delivery time they just sent me an email every time it was rescheduled, but the people who moved it in were great, very efficient, and on time.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to the store in person because they were supposedly having amazing sales that were better than the online prices. The items I wanted were not in the store so I left to go home and take my time looking online for the items. I then found things I wanted. I called the store to make the order and was told I could only get the in store prices if I came back to the store. That’s fair, right? So I drive back to the store and when I get there, the prices I was quoted was MORE expensive than the online prices. Now, they did match the online prices, but I could have ordered it online and saved a trip to the store. I signed the contract saying it will be delivered between 2 and 6 weeks from the day of purchase. When it was 6 weeks out, I called to check on it. They said, ma’am it’s only been 5 weeks. I counted weeks again and said, no, it’s definitely 6 weeks. Then she said, well, the contract says you can’t get a refund until 8 weeks. I said, I just want to know where the furniture is, not a refund. I called back at 8 weeks and I’m told it would be delivered that Thursday. So I make myself available to receive the delivery on Thursday. Then they did not arrive. So I called and they said, no, ma’am that’s not what we said, we said it would reach the warehouse on Thursday. (No, I was not mistaken.) anyway, Then I call back at 9 weeks and am told it was still not delivered to the warehouse. So I decided to cancel my order because I wanted furniture in my house. I had been very patient and paid far too much money to wait this long. I asked for a full refund and they say will apply the refund to my card and it will take 2-5 business days. They even verified the last four numbers of my card!!!! Then, I called back 7 days later and was told the “note in the system says” customer will come in to store to receive refund!!!!! The communication with this particular store is awful! Horrible experience. I will NEVER shop here again and will warn everyone I know to avoid this store.

I would caution anyone from purchasing from Ashley HomeStore. I purchased a new king bed frame from the store and have not been able to use it since it arrived. First off, the furniture was delivered with a terrible chemical smell that literally took weeks to dissipate even with multiple fans running on it 24/7. Secondly, their furniture may look nice but it is poorly made and cheap. Literally 7 days after the bed was delivered the side board "wood" split . This is where the company shows their true colors. The furniture has a 1 year manufacturer's warranty- if you mention even sitting on the bed as part of when damage occurred then the manufacturers warranty is void. We bought an extended warranty as well, but be warned... the sales representatives will make it sound like the extended warranty is the best thing since sliced bread... but its not. It only covers superficial damage like scratches, etc. If you try and talk to customer service- be prepared for a unhelpful experience. Most of the folks that answer the phone don't or can't do anything for you. You will get a different answer every time you talk to someone there. If you want to speak to a supervisor, good luck with that.. not even an act of congress would get a supervisor or manager on the same call. The agent will say a supervisor will call back in 24 hours.... that will never come. After weeks of talking with customer service they said a new side board was going to be sent and should arrive in 7-10 days. On the 15th day, I called to check on what was going on and I was informed on that call that the new sideboard was going to arrive around November 27th because it was coming from "Over Seas". 7 to 10 days turned into 45 days. The bed was delivered September 12th and we opened a service call on September 20. It is October 27th and the bed STILL isn't fixed and based on what their "customer service" says that part won't even arrive until 11/27. Stay away from Ashley... please learn from MY mistakes!

The story had a huge posting. UPTO 75% off. Right of the bat this was inaccurate. Salesman said, UPTO 75% off means there is free delivery, assembly and no tax. Every item had 2 prices, the actual price and the 50% off price. On the surface this seemed very good and I racked up a bill of 6300. Guess what, when I got home and luckily checked the prices of the same exact merchandise on Ashley's own website, the total came out to be about 2500 less including tax, shipping and assembly. This meant, the prices shown on products in store were hyped up to give a 50% off and even that 50% off price was about 3800 more than the full price on their website. Try getting your head around that now. As anyone would do too, I called to cancel my entire order the same evening, Of course they want you to come to store to do that because they will warn the salesman of your arrival and have him stop you from doing that. They tried to be slick by asking me my name so they can have everything ready for my arrival to which I replied, if you want me to come in person anyhow, why should I tell you who I am ahead of time? To make matters worse, on my first visit in the morning, Sales people started fighting among themselves on who saw us first. Out loud and in-front of me asking me who saw me first in a foreign language. You can see how awkward it will be for anyone. One of them backed down and in 1 hour told us 3 times to go for a lunch break and come back because we will be new customers walking in and then she can work with us. To sum up, I still bought everything, same exact brands and products. But this time, very little from Ashley. My total dropped from 6300 to 3100. I have the receipts to prove that. Your decision to purchase anything from here lies with you. I have made mine, which is, neither trust the price you see displayed in store nor believe the up-to 50 or 75% off gimmick. Take your time and do your research.

My wife and I have bee into this store twice now and each time the experience was similar (although last night's was worse). You walk in through the front door and are immediately "greeted" by a salesperson who's been standing there just waiting for someone to come in. They tell you about the sales which is fine and ask if you're looking for anything in particular. Each time my wife and I were just trying to get a sense of furniture options and not looking to buy something then and there so we politely stated that we're just browsing around at which point you'd think they'd back off and tell us to let them know if we have questions. The first time in the store that sort of happened for about two minutes before we were again approached by the same person who saw us looking at the first thing that caught our attention. Last night, however, the guy (Blue or Big Blue I think was his name) hovered over us very awkwardly to the point where we both go so uncomfortable that we moved on to something else until he moved away from the piece we wanted to see. He then saw us looking at it again and started walking over at which point we quickly moved on again. This is when a scene from The Walking Dead began as he LITERALLY chased us around the store!!!! We'd stop to look at something and we'd see him walking over. We'd move on and suddenly he'd appear from behind a wall! It was THE WORST!!! We finally lost him for a couple minutes when we went upstairs, but as soon as we came back down, there he was again. Finally I think he got tired of following us because we were walking so fast around the store so he sat down in the front of the store where he stared at us awkwardly when we finally left. And that's just the sales staff. Now as for prices... Order off of their website! It's worth seeing things in person first, but the prices in the store are way more expensive than the same exact things online. And sure things were on sale in the store, but that still doesn't account for the price differences. We looked at a head board that was about $1000 cheaper on their website than what we saw in store! Not sure what kind of game they're running there but it's a serious rip off. We WON'T be going back to that store ever again. If you want a much better experience then take some extra time to drive out to Leesburg or Frederick, MD even to go to Gardiner Wolf Furniture. You still have to deal with salespeople, but they're much easier and nicer to work with and the prices actually make sense.

Do not shop here or any Ashley furniture location for that matter. I am not one who normally writes Google reviews that are bad but the way things have played out for me with the customer service and end product from this particular location is awful. I received an entire bedroom set including a new mattress and a team of guys came to deliver this to my home. They were quick to finish the white glove set up but did not fix the wobbly dresser or night stands. I attempted doing this and mostly got one of the night stands fixed on my own but could not get the other two easily so I called and asked if they could send someone out to take a look at it for me. They first suggested it was due to my wood floors but I said the techs you hired should have at least attempted to adjust them according to what type of floors I had and notify me of them being wobbly rather than running out of the house as quickly as possible. Customer care issue number 1. I also want to point out that I had 2 dressers and two night stands ordered and 2 out of the 4 pieces were not wobbly at all on my wood floors. So there is no way that this can only be the fault of my wood floors. There is an underlying issue. Next issue: Trying to get a hold of customer service and to actually get them to send someone out is damn near impossible. It took me two weeks because they would send me multiple emails or phone numbers of people to call and email with no reply or those people would send me somewhere else. Disorganization is their middle name. After 2 weeks of circling around who I need to reach out to and successfully emailing them a picture of my wobbly products (dresser and night stand), which can't be shown in a picture yet they still wanted them, they sent a new tech out. This tech arrived fixed my night stand perfectly. I was pleased. He also got my dresser more stable than it was but it was still noticeably unstable. He suggested either asking for a replacement or he would get them to order new legs. I asked him to order the legs because I did not want to wait another potentially two months for a new dresser. He left and I thought everything was fine and dandy. They call me back today May 6th 2019. I bought this furniture January 5th or 6th of 2019. They suggested I put a cloth or pad underneath my legs in order to fix the problem. I said, "no, the tech said he was ordering new legs." Ashley furniture is claiming he said everything is fine. If that were the case, why would you call me suggesting to fix a problem? Wouldn't you simply want to call and ask, as a quality assurance rep, how I like the new furniture? Did we fix it to your satisfaction? Not, here is a fix for your problem you still have. That clearly means that they do not want to pay to ship me new legs and send out a tech to fix the problem. They know it is still a problem. These people are crooks sending customers defective products and then fighting with them over fixing it once it arrives at their home. This company is a joke. I will never purchase anything from them in the future. Again, I am not one to normally write a review unless it is extremely noteworthy and to let others know that some shady business is going on with a business. It just goes to show that some companies only see us consumers as dollar signs and don't care about the end product they provide. I am surprised they have stayed in business this long because i figure if they keep sending people defective furniture they would be out of customers to provide to by now.

Places with better customer service: 1. DMV 2. Comcast 3. Airline Lost baggage desk Like other had said, If I could give zero stars I would. Lets start with the delivery. See pictures for quality. Delivery: We were given an 11:00 am-3 pm delivery window so we took the day off. The couch was delivered at 5:45 pm, after our freight elevator at our condo reservation was passed. It was clearly the last delivery of the day so the delivery guys were rushed and dumped it off the back of the truck. It was so late, we made sure there was no structural damage, and said it was good as we had somewhere to be. The next day: In the day light we started to realize that the craftsmanship was pretty shotty. Not only does it look bad, but there are small rips and folds in places there shouldn't (Pictures attached). We went to the store to speak with the manager. The floor model of the couch we bought was right in front of the managers desk so it was easy to compare our pictures with what we thought we were buying. Best they could do is send a technician out to inspect it before anything else. Since we already took a day off and it was a terrible experience, we said it had to be on a weekend. the earliest appointment was a month away. Technician Visit: One month later, we get a call the night before saying our window is 9 am-12 pm and that we would get a call 30 minutes before arrival. We got a call from a mystery number with no automated recording or a person at 9:30 am. Assuming it was Ashley's technician, we got another call at 9:48 am (not 30 minutes later) which we admittedly didn't answer. Saw the voicemail that he was outside and would wait 10 minutes. Our apartment overlooks the front entrance (didn't see him) but went down within the 10 minutes and he wasn't there. Called him, no answer. Called customer support who called him and there was no answer. Called back to make sure they had the right address and they did, and were now able to get a hold of him, but said he had to continue his route and lied about how long he waited. Next Steps: we are now having another technician come in another 3 weeks to hopefully try again. I know the sales and deals are enticing, but I would recommend from the bottom of my heart that you don't put yourself through this experience. It has been so frustrating that I am tempted to dedicate a weekend to standing in the parting lot to discourage other consumers.

*updated and improved review Original review - Bait and switch. Do not go here if you want your furniture in the next 2 months, or if you want any information about your orders. I bought a couch 6 weeks ago on Black Friday and was told it would be delivered “between 2-6 weeks but probably sooner.” Ashley has not contacted me once unless I called them first. I have called 8 times and get the same answer: “No idea.” This is because Ashley doesn’t actually have the item you bought. If you push for more information, you’re told they “have an ETA in their system,” but you are cautioned that this changes daily and means nothing — It is also not even Ashley’s ETA: The “delivery company” has your furniture, which is separate from Ashley, and they make all the decisions about when furniture is delivered without telling Ashley. This mythical ETA isn’t even for when it it delivered to YOU - it’s for when it’s delivered to Ashley’s own store. Then you have to arrange delivery as a separate endeavor on another day. Examples: On Dec 26, I was told ETA was “tomorrow”; next day, ETA became Jan 3. Today, Jan 3, I’m told the “new ETA” is Jan 14. Keep in mind I bought this couch Nov 23. The ONLY REASON I am giving this Ashley 2 stars instead of 1 star is because this location’s staff is lovely. Everyone I have spoken to on the phone has been kind, reassuring, patient, and empathetic. I understand it is not the employees’ fault, it is the corporation’s ridiculous bait-and-switch delivery setup. So I guess if you want to be frustrated with a bait and switch scheme and missing furniture, but also be consoled by really nice people, this is your spot. ***updated review: the day after I wrote this review, I got a response on Google from Ashley furniture. I emailed their customer care center as requested. I then got a phone call from a woman who said she had extensively researched my order and the couch itself. She said she called warehouses in multiple nearby states to see if they had my item and could deliver it sooner, personally contacted the delivery company to confirm delivery on Jan 14, filled me in on the status of the item, available couches, and more. I did not get her name but she was lovely, and she clearly spent a great deal of time and effort trying to rectify the mistakes and miscommunications. I greatly appreciated the timeliness of their customer care center response and the effort they went to on my behalf. I hope to see my couch next week :)

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL SCAM YOU UNTIL THE END. Furniture looks nice and is of decent quality for the price. Our salesmen at the Bailey’s Crossroads store, Marc was also very courteous and helpful during our initial browsing and buying process. However, the customer service once we have received our furniture, and naturally, paid for it, has been nothing shy of ATROCIOUS. We’ve had 2 major issues that are yet to be resolved over 6 weeks and counting. First, we had furniture delivered on July 10, 2018. The delivery men scraped our walls up and dented them very badly. The delivery men rushed in and out of the house as quickly as possible and asked us to sign off quickly confirming receipt of the goods. The minute they left, we noticed the major scratches and dents in the walls and reported it within the hour the delivery men were there. We were instructed to send pictures, and did so immediately. Then, we received no response. We’ve emailed every weekday since July 10th. It is August 16th. After lots of non-responsiveness, last week, we finally received a response. The woman we spoke to indicated that Ashley Furniture would not be sending someone out to fix the walls. She told us to get a quote from a professional and indicated that the company would cut us a check to have the walls repaired ourselves. We went through the trouble of finding a contractor, had them come out and provide a quote. We sent the quote forward and were sent a form to complete to finish the process. We thought the end was in sight. Right before the form gets processed to finally provide some sort of solution to the damage to our house, someone higher up the chain, that couldn’t be bothered to answer calls or acknowledge the request for weeks, suddenly cared about the case. She claimed that because we didn’t report the problem before the drivers left. Word to the wise, if you DO go with this company, do NOT let them out of your sight before inspecting your hall. Our walls up our stairwell look awful. Our second issue is that the dresser arrived with a drawer that broke on the second time it was opened. This was also reported right away and pictures were sent. The wooden piece holding the track in place inside the dresser was not attached correctly and it has fallen off, leaving a hole inside the dresser on the wall of it and a drawer is unable to be used. When I am finally able to get someone on the phone, I’m told that they will have to look into it and call back. At this point, I have a dresser that is brand new, broken, and with no potential solution anywhere on the horizon. So, please, use our misfortune as a cautionary tale for yourself and choose another company that will stand behind their products and delivery services.

I have had a major issues with the my purchase process with Ashley HomeStore. When I went to visit to scout for furniture to buy, the employee who was facilitating me at that time was pretty kind and informative. However, I did not want to rush in my purchase. I took some pictures and decided to wait on which one I wanted to buy. I told the employee this and said that I will come back, and he became rude and brushed me off. I come back for the 4th of July sale, to purchase the product I wanted. I had another man help me out with my purchase. In the middle of my selection, I decided that I needed to drive home (a mile away) to verify the dimensions of the sofa I wanted. The same employee from 2 weeks before got mad at me and thought I was walking out. I told him I was just checking the dimensions, and he just wanted to argue with me. I just decided to walk out and ignore him. I did actually buy the sofa for the 4th of July sale. I came back after 30 minutes and completed my purchase. I was planning to speak to the manager about my dissatisfaction about my customer service with that man, however I decided to let it go because I was happy with my purchase. Two weeks later, I receive a call about my delivery date. But the caller said that it would be anywhere from 8AM to 8PM and that they would call me a day before to provide me a more specific time for my delivery window. The store failed to notify me a day before for my 4 hour window. I tried to check online to see if the website would provide an update, but there wasn’t any information. During the day of delivery, they never notified me ahead of time. Instead, they called me when the movers were already at my apartment. When I did call to see if they would provide a 4 hour window, they didn’t even answer. I could not afford to use up all my paid time off to wait for an uncertain delivery time. I work from 6:30 to 2:30. The business opens at 10AM. So I had to go to work. At work, I am unable to have my phone with me, and would have to check every hour or so for a heads up on the furniture delivery. If I was given a notification even at least an hour ahead of time, I would have been there. I called the local customer service to bring about my issues, but the blame was all shifted at me. They told me I should have left voicemail when they didn’t answer. I should have called when they failed to notify me of my 4 hour window. Now I am being asked to pay another $99.99 delivery fee. All of this could have been avoided if I was clearly notified, even 1-2 hours ahead. These issues are completely unacceptable and speaks clearly about the customer service your company brings and believe that paying another $99 delivery fee is not the right answer.

My mother-in-law purchased a set of chairs as a gift to my wife while she was helping my wife and I with our newborn. She was told the chairs would be delivered while she was still here (in the DC area). The delivery was delayed until after she had to return to her home out of state. The delivery ended up occurring while my wife was on a work trip. I wasn't aware of the details of the order when it arrived and expressed that fact to the individuals who came to my home with the chairs. In fact, I expressed several times that I had no idea what the chairs were supposed to look like and stated I should get an explanation of what they should look like from my mother-in-law when asked by the deliverymen whether the chairs were the correct ones. One of the movers/deliverymen spoke to who I assume was his supervisor on his phone, then told me the chairs were most likely the ones that were ordered. I stupidly signed the receipt since he told me these were probably the correct chairs. It turns out they were the wrong chairs after I showed them to my mother-in-law the following Tuesday night to thank her for them (they were delivered the previous Friday). She attempted to call the store on Wednesday morning to inform them of the mistake. Despite them being late with the delivery and missing the window she was initially told they would arrive (when my mother-in-law was in town), despite the chairs being much cheaper than the ones my mother-in-law ordered, despite the chairs she ordered being ones that were sized specifically to fit between the legs of a table we own, and despite it being only three business days from the time the chairs were delivered, they refused to do anything about it, citing policy. Any reasonable person would see the mistakes they made (unreliable delivery date estimate, delivering the wrong items, telling someone who clearly was not aware of what the order was that the order is probably correct, and the fact that the items received were notably cheaper) and make an exception to written policy in this case. But they didn't. They are not people oriented and I cannot give high marks for service.

Like some here, this store has massive delivery delays and a history of delivering items that are broken or defective. My family and I waited 9 weeks for delivery after verbally being told upon sale that it wouldn't be any more than two-three weeks,- max. - This was miss-leading in an effort to simply make the sale. There is serious issues with the supply-chain side of the house that is causing this store location to lose money and customers. One item (office desk) I was forced to return because I couldn’t wait any longer. Thankfully, they waived the 10% restocking fee if I’d agree to not return the rest of my entire order and wait another week for the delivery. While we were in the store, we saw other customers at the counter complaining of broken items. I thought hard about cancelling the entire order and absorbing the 10% restocking cost but gave into the nice customer service provided by the store sales manager. Ultimately, we received our items but with cracks in two pieces of furniture! My worst fear came true! Some days later I had to rent a Home Depot truck and return the two defective items to exchange for floor models. The price I paid for choosing Ashley Furniture in Falls Church, VA include: Day off work: $315.00+ Truck Rental: $42.00 Fuel for Rental: $20.00 Excedrin to counter the headache of the whole experience: $10.00 The Sales Manager at this store was sympathetic and nice to us, he even said he’d give me a great deal on any floor item for my troubles. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll hear from him ever again. Do business with this location at your own risk and prepare for exceptionally long lead times. Much of the furniture is NOT in fact warehoused in the US – items are ordered in bulk from the factory-direct in Asia only after enough customers stateside order them. I suggest that store owner(s) hire someone who understands international business, logistics, and supply chain management. ** Two stars ONLY because I liked the sales-manager. I hope he calls back and gives me a deal for the money I lost.

I purchased a sectional sofa on May 30th from Maria at this location who was accommodating, but mostly because I knew what I wanted and when I wanted it. During the time of purchase I was looking for a sectional sofa that could be delivered to my new property on June 24th - June 26th so I would have it as I moved into my new property. I asked Maria if the specific one I wanted to purchase was in stock, she confirmed multiple times that it was in stock and could be delivered for the time I'm moving. Once committing to the purchase of the sectional sofa, I was also "GUARANTEED" by MANAGEMENT the sectional sofa was in stock and could be delivered to my new property for the date range I requested. The evening I signed paperwork they told me they don't do weekend deliveries. Working for a furniture store years ago, and having furniture delivered in the past, that seems very odd since majority of consumers are off on weekends. Regardless of that, I requested Monday, June 26th for the sofa to be delivered, which they assured me it would be no problem. It wasn't until June 22nd they call to inform they will not be delivering the sectional sofa I purchased and paid taxes and fees on May 30th for until after the "GUARANTEED" date of June 26th. Immediately upon me being obviously upset and not happy with this, they refer to the "2-6 week delivery range" disclaimer. Instead of problem resolution they choose to refer to a disclaimer. What the store doesn't want to tell me, is that they sold the in stock units to other customers who requested delivery dates before I did. I paid taxes on May 30th and was GUARANTEED delivery on May 26th which means I should have my sectional sofa delivered on that date regardless of other deliveries being scheduled before mine. I would not have purchased this sofa is I was going to have to move in to a new property and live without a sofa for 2-3 weeks, which is beyond inconvenient because I sold my other couch this week prior to my move. After numerous calls, the management is giving me mixed solutions, I'll have to wait until the sectional is back in stock on July 6th, but they don't do weekend deliveries so I won't get it until the following week. I called this morning and they can bring my Chase piece June 30th, which is ironic since I was told they're out of stock. This is the worst furniture buying experience I've ever had, and I am doing everything in my power to return the sectional sofa, and I can assure you I'll never do business with Ashley Furniture again. This location should cut me a check for the inconvenience of this awful buying experience, and having to live without a sofa for 2-3 weeks past my GUARANTEED delivery date of June 26th. I strongly recommend no one ever do business with Ashley Furniture, specifically at this store. This is very sad since I have made numerous purchases from Ashley back home in Kentucky with no issues at all, which is why I came here to make my biggest purchase yet with the company. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ASHLEY PRODUCT AGAIN!

I can't even begin to explain the disaster that this store preformed. My husband and I decided to order a furniture set from them. Being that they are under the Jennifer Convertibles umbrella, who I have purchased items from before I thought they would be sufficient. Our sales person Muhammad was very helpful with helping us pick out a bedroom set. He then informed us that it would take 2-6 weeks for delivery. All together it took a little more than 8 weeks. No one was on the same page as far as communication. I called several times and was told the date was pushed back. I speak with a woman named Connie I believe who then tells me they have until 8 weeks to deliver the furniture, which contradicts what our sales person told us. Mind you the whole time our sales person doesn't contact me to keep me up to date on the status. I finally find out that "supposedly" our bedroom set was discontinued and that is why it was taking so long for delivery. Why is it that no one could share this information with me sooner? Why is it that when I can to cancel all of a sudden they have answers. I worked in customer service for more than 10 years with 5 of those years being management, so I know how customer service should be executed and this store is lacking in many categories. The store manager Ray appeared to understand where I was coming from and even asked if I was looking for a job. I should go back to customer service just to show them how its done. Ray claimed he would make this "right" and talk to corporate and compensate us for the trouble. Trust me when I say I wouldn't hold my breathe and if I did, I would be dead right now. It's been over two weeks since our furniture has been delivered and do you think we received a call to see how things went, nope. Do you think Ray the manager or my sales person picked up the phone, nope. It's all about customer relationships, you want them to continue to come back. I won't be coming back and i'll be sure to contact corporate next and the BBB and any other site that I can post on to let people know NOT to go to this store for service. Service is something this store didn't train in.

I wish I could give zero stars! First of all, the other reviews are spot on. Sales people that are pushy, speak poor English, and couldn't possibly care less on service after the sale. We ordered an expensive sectional sofa, coffee table, and an end table. The same song and dance about it should be in within a couple of weeks. After the first 6 weeks I called in to check and see where are funiture was and was told the sofa is in the warehouse, and the tables are backordered. Hmmm, how about a call to ask if we'd like our expensive leather sofa delivered while we're waiting, or maybe letting us know the tables were backordered? The sofa had apparently arrived weeks ago. We didn't want to wait an indefinite amount of time, so we just wanted to cancel the tables, which they did, but made us come to the store. Then we scheduled the delivery of our sofa. Delivery day arrived and we get the call (on Saturday) "sorry, our truck broke down, we'll deliver it Sunday". Sunday arrives, and the delivery people show up within their 4 hour windows, and we watch them move like a wrecking ball through our sofa. First, the drag it off the truck and let it slam into the ground from 4'. Then they were clearly irritated when we made them wear booties on our expensive carpet. Here's a surprise, three pieces of furniture were damaged from the truck to the house. We watched one of the guys accidently slam one of the pieces into the transom bringing into the room. Then a chunk of leather scraped off where they dragged it on the asphalt, and finally a manufacturers defect in the leather. We refused to accept the damaged pieces and told them to take them back. They lied about a 72 hour evaluation period, saying they would come pick them up later (wrong, they start using up your warranty if you don't reject the items). They were obviously irritated about having to take the pieces back, spoke poor (if any) English, kept leaving the outside door open even though we asked them not to, and were just plain disrespectful. We were obviously in their way of going home. When I called today to ask when we can expect to get our two new pieces, we were toldy it's "not scanned into the warehouse yet". We were told someone will be contacting us "within 7 to 11 business days". We were also told the warehouse will decide whether to repair or replace the items. Over my dead body they will. I told them we want NEW items, not repaired crap. That's what we paid for, and that is what we will get. We'll have to wait and see what happens from here on out. I will say that I've shopped at other Ashley Homestores before, and they were fine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PARTICULAR STORE!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING THE SALE, AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT AFTER SALE SERVICE CONSISTENT WITH OTHER REVIEWS. We purchased a sofa from Ashley furniture in Falls Church, VA last week. The sofa was a good deal at about 1/3 of the sticker price. We forgot, however, that you get what you pay for. Things started to go bad when we told them we live in a condo building which allows deliveries only from 9 am to 5 pm. The manager on duty promised to call the delivery people to make sure they knew we needed a delivery after 9 am and before 5 pm. Well, the day before the delivery rolls around and I get a message that I am scheduled for 3 pm to 7 pm! Apparently, the manager forgot to put in the delivery notes (although they were in the order notes) that I needed a delivery before 5 pm! After much arguing and calling back, I finally got a commitment that would happen. Well the delivery day happens, and the sofa comes in a box. The delivery folks tell me it won't fit and don't try and remove the sofa from the box. Okay, fair enough, they give us a store credit for the amount of the order. We go to select our items and then we are told we have to pay for delivery again, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER DELIVERED ANYTHING! We were told by the cashier to come back in a half hour because only the store manager may be able to waive shipping. We come back in about an hour, and the manager was with another customer so we were told to wait. The store manager whose command of English is not good (he used the word "elimination" instead of "liquidation") told us he had no authority to waive the shipping. I then ask why we were told by the cashier to come back, and she immediately jumps in saying she said he MAY be able to waive the shipping, yet his response was he didn't have the power. I bought up the fact that it's been waived in the past per another Yelp review of this store, and he says he can't during the "elimination" event. Really, they charge $150 for delivery when others stores charge less so they should be able to waive the delivery charge but the manager was adamant that he was helpless and we would have to call customer service if we didn't like his response. Really, he's the store manager and he's powerless? What kind of store operates like that?
