Absolutely incredible experience buying a mattress and new bedroom set at Ashley in Fredericksburg! Steven made us feel immediately comfortable as guests in the store and he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient with us as we explored different options for our next mattress and bedroom. She was very polite, knowledgeable regarding the features of the furniture and gave us the freedom to walk around without any pressure. Worst experience I have ever had in any store. I am a repeat client and have spent over $15,000 dollars in this store, both times on delivery, the drivers damaged my furniture and was told by Ahmad, the GM that they would be replacing and swapping out the damaged pieces. Weeks go by and I have to stop by the store over 10 times because nobody can return phone calls and nobody can answer an email there, only to be told that customer care will be getting in touch with me to rectify concerns. Another couple weeks go by and I am told that the GM can not make this call and they are apparently a “repair 1st” facility meaning they send out a 3rd party vendor to fix/repair damaged items. After waiting over 2 months for the repairman, he shows up at the wrong address and cancels my appointment. No big deal right? Just schedule a service appt asap, easy right?! WRONG! They told me that the next available service appt is over a month out. So, still waiting for them to come out, supposed to be next week. The salesperson is no longer with the company and she selected the wrong size area rug (5x7) when I paid for an 8x10 rug. Shocker that the rep is no longer with the company, they probably don’t pay them enough money so nobody wants to stick around. Customer care reps seem miserable to be there, probably because they don’t get paid enough either. Now I go back to the store yet again (3 months later) and was told by customer care representative, Kayla “oh well you signed for it and I never told you that we would be shipping out a new rug.” She then goes on to tell me that this is the selection I made, even know it is not and the saleslady most likely made an error and since she’s no longer with the company, I now don’t have a leg to stand on. Asked for the GM and apparently he’s on “vacation for the foreseeable future” - yes that makes perfect sense since the guy can clearly not run a store. I am in the customer service business myself and would never tell someone who spent that much money with me and my company that they are the ones to blame and they are at fault. This has been a nightmare, if you can avoid choosing this store altogether and Ashley/Trivetts/DBA/Tri-Hard LLC or whatever they are calling themselves these days, I would highly recommend to purchase your furniture elsewhere. I will now make it my personal business to make sure nobody buys a single thing from this store. They deliver damaged and stained furniture, don’t want to admit fault, and all the store reps are very friendly and agree with me in the store, but nothing gets done about it. I should have trusted my instinct and went to Value City Furniture to begin with or purchased from any other store. After taking off work multiple times to be home and available, I am still waiting for my pieces to be “repaired” not replaced like the GM told me when he shook my hand in the store and gave me his word. Avoid this place at all costs, or I’m sorry to say, but you’ll be the one paying for it. Absolutely the worst customer service team and GM I have ever came across in my life and I’ve made thousands of purchases, so that speaks volumes as to how badly they treat you. It’s all fun and games in the store, but behind the scenes, this is the thanks you get and how your treated. I will never purchase anything from Ashley again and they have lost a client that spent thousands with them, how very disappointing!!!
