IF YOU GET A CALL TO CANCEL ONLINE ORDER AND BUY THROUGH HBURG LOCATION W/ DISCOUNT, DO NOT DO IT. I had a perfectly fine online order placed on a Sunday with a clear 4–6 week delivery estimate and proper email confirmation. The very next day, the Harrisonburg store called and convinced me to cancel it, promising savings if I ordered directly through them. That decision turned into weeks of frustration, excuses, and straight-up misinformation. I was charged immediately but received no order confirmation, no receipt, no tracking, and no proof my order even existed beyond the credit card charge. When I called two weeks later for a status update, I was told they were “waiting on an email from me” — an email no one mentioned before. I asked directly if this would affect my 4–6 week delivery window and was assured it would not. Spoiler: it absolutely did. On that same call, I was also informed they had no way to track my order at all — didn’t know where it was, when it would arrive, or whether it had even been built. Comforting. A few weeks later, I called again and was suddenly told my delivery date was 8 weeks from the date of purchase, conveniently redefining the order date as the day I filled out their mystery email. When I called them out on this, they backtracked and claimed the couch would be on the next delivery truck. Odd, considering they previously said they couldn’t track anything. Thank goodness the system magically updated itself overnight. Then came the best excuse yet: a hurricane in North Carolina delaying deliveries. A truly devastating storm, apparently — so devastating it didn’t appear in any weather reports, news coverage, or reality. After continued pestering, I was told parts of the order were ready but couldn’t be delivered because one piece wasn’t. Then I was told the pieces were separated and couldn’t be delivered. Then they were back together. Then separated again. Somehow the furniture was both sitting in a warehouse and completely unavailable at the same time. The furniture has finally arrived, and yes, we like it — but this store deserves zero credit. I would have gladly paid THOUSANDS more to avoid sitting on dining room chairs in an empty living room for weeks, rearranging holiday plans, and repeatedly being lied to. If you value honesty, communication, or basic competence, skip this store entirely. Their discount isn’t worth the chaos. Honestly, I wish I had told them to keep it.

An absolute great buying experience. Our salesman was Jay and I highly recommend asking for him when you walk in. No pressure sales. LISTENS to the customer and very attentive.

I truly dislike writing bad reviews for a business since I'm a business owner myself and strongly support small business. Unfortunately, my wife and I have had an awful experience with customer support at Ashley. We purchased a sofa recliner in Spring of 2025 and the salesman encouraged us to purchase the extended warranty after we discussed having pets. He assured us that this warranty will cover any damage and the store would fix or replace after damage. We kept the sofa covered to keep off dog hair and was surprised when we removed it after five months that the material was pulling away throughout the cushions. We submitted the paperwork for the warranty, and it was denied saying it does not cover natural wear and tear. I have lived in my house over 20 years and my furniture did not wear like this sofa. I understand that Ashley employees did not build this sofa, but when I visited the store three times to discuss my concerns with a manager, the staff seemed indifferent and kept telling me a manager would be in touch after taking my number. This was over two months ago, and an employee never reached out to us. Sorry to be so lengthy, but the whole experience has been frustrating. Also, please be aware that if you purchase furniture and don't want to pay a $200 delivery, you need to go to Roanoke two hours away to pick up your furniture. I would advise against shopping in this Ashley store.
