I purchased my living room furniture from this store four years ago. I visited the store today (10/19/24) and was greeted by a very nice salesman. I'll continue to shop here for my future furniture needs.
Came into Ashely to look at a sectional sofa with a hideaway bed. We met Lee. He was very helpful. He answered all of our questions. We left with an idea of what we really wanted. We went to another furniture store down the street. They didn’t have what we wanted and their staff just pointed us in the direction of where the two sectionals where. We left. We talked about how we liked the options at Ashley and especially how helpful Lee was. We returned today to Ashley. Lee was there and was so helpful. We and Lee, double and triple checked to make sure were ordering what we wanted. We also decided to buy the matching recliner. Forgive me that I don’t remember her name, but the lady that did the paperwork and cashed us out was great. She explained to me about how the delivery will go and she too double checked what we were ordering. Zero stars needed. Went in to buy a chest dresser on the website priced at $199. The website actually states "see this item at lynchburg store". The store is like a used car dealership. Salesman literally said "I could let it go for $199 but Im not going to because "they" will charge you a $200 fee for delivery online." Then proceeds to say he will charge $299. Anybody who walks in the lynchburg store is getting ripped off.

Oh my where do I begin? I was dreading buying new furniture. The moment I walked into Ashley Furniture and met Cory was the beginning of a WONDERFUL journey. Cory DID NOT pressure us not one time. We went in probably 5-6 times trying to decide exactly what we wanted. EVERYTIME we went in, Cory was there to answer any questions and, when asked, he gave wonderful advice and recommendations. I will NEVER buy furniture from anyone else other than Cory! He responded extremely timely when I text him and that was a lot!! If you want a wonderful, very knowledgeable and no pressure sales rep Cory is your man!!!!!!!! Along the way, we met Lem! That man is so sincere and has such a wonderful countenance about him. We went in already knowing what couch we wanted to purchase. The online Ashley price was $3699. Online also had 12 month interest free financing. In store it was listed for $4899. In store financing was 60 month interest free financing. We asked if they could match the price. They could but would need a down payment which was not required online. When I asked about a longer term financing the sales person and manager did the routine where I waited there while he went to the office to "sharpen our pencils and get you a good deal" They came back and said yes but would need a down payment and the price would be $4899. We left and went to the store on Broad St. in Richmond. They had the same couch at the same price as online. No matching needed. We had a fair and open negotiation on terms and there were no games played. Make the drive to the store in Richmond and avoid the Lynchburg store.

Hi guys, we were looking for a second couch--did all research, read reviews, and I have worked in furniture business for Kincaid and Broyhill. So when I started looking for couches or sofas-- everywhere seemed to have same brands and all the same colors. All roads in other stores led back to Ashley furniture. So when I entered the store, all employees were very friendly and great "greets". So I was refered to Cory Reyna who at the time, I did not know that he was store manager. Anyway, I was looking for something very unique in design and texture ! Cory put me right on one that was different and what we were looking for so price and delivery costs were the major issues from completing the purchase on first visit. So I continued to look-- other people at other furniture stores seemed not really interested in selling me a $750 couch--- again all roads led back to Ashley furniture and Mr. Reyna. So after completely discussing warranty and frame specifications-- it was done! Mr. Reyna worked with me on pricing! All employees and Mr. Reyna were very efficient and caring about meeting me in negotiations and hospitality! Mr. Reyna was a privilege to work with and to help me make my mind up! We are going back for a new dining table and odds and ends. I'm customer for life due to Mr. Reyna and his employees! Peace

I will start by saying we have been shopping for a mattress for quite some time. We have been to various furniture stores across lynchburg. Walking into Ashley all the staff met us at the door with a smile. Krislin was so very patient with us as we asked many questions. Her knowledge guided us to find the perfect mattress for us. We added the AWESOME cooling pillows and mattress cover to our purchase. Cory was helpful as well. Together they provided us with the best customer service experience. We cannot wait to purchase the rest of our furniture from them!!!!
Kristin greeted us with a very warm welcome. Followed back up and shared her knowledge on all the mattresses with us. She was very knowledgeable about the product and made purchasing a mattress and pillows and bed protector very fun and an enjoyable experience. Cory was very helpful in closing the deal.

Ashley Furniture in Lynchburg Va is a fantastic place to do business. Kristin Beverly assisted us in a recent in store purchase and she was absolutely fantastic. When our purchase was delivered an error in one item was made and rather than putting us off for several days Cory saw to it that it was corrected the same day and Lemuel made a special trip to deliver the corrected order. It is this type of attention to helping customers that has brought us back to Ashley. We highly recommend these good folks to anyone looking to purchase home furnishings.

Wish I could give a zero rating. People in the store were great. The delivery folks from Roanoke were rude, and not willing to work with us. Once you pay your bill, all the customer service is out the door. We will never step inside an Ashley furniture store after this experience.

We will be back for other purchases. (We are building a house that needs to be furnished.) Of note. The store is very clean and no one was playing “candy crush” rather than paying attention to customers. I left Grand Piano after working with a sales person who smelled strongly of cigarettes. I am very impressed with the Lynchburg Ashley.

They suck! Ordered months ago, scheduled delivery 3 times. Last time a migrant calls saying he is lost on Leesville rd and truck won't fit under bridge to get into Alvista. Couldn't give landmark because he didn't know what one was. Called store to have entire order canceled, Manager stated a cancelation fee will be charged and hung up. REALLY!? This place should be shut down. 😒

We went in for a new bed and decided to get a couch as well because of the interest free payment option. Our salesman took advantage of our trusting personalities and lied to us. He charged us $1,000 more than the retail prices listed online! When the bed came in, they tried to deliver half of the couch... our bed frame arrived damaged and they promised to replace it and we still haven't heard a single thing about replacing it 2 months later. The 2nd delivery team that delivered the couch broke 2 picture frames and scratched the door frame up when pulling it in. Didn't even apologize. Worst furniture purchase ever and I will not recommend or return.

Avoid at all cost. I purchased a dining set and upon delivery there was a faulty chair, waited weeks to send someone to repair it and they couldn’t, now I have to wait for weeks to send a repalcement (months to adddress a crocked chair). Terrible terrible experience. Be aware that you can’t return anything at this place.

We came in on a different day and they were closing the doors when we came. The gentleman who interacted with us his name is Philemon Hunter. He gave us his card and apologized that they were closing up for the night. We came on another day and asked how he can help. He showed us and told us a couple locations they had for dressers. I then mentioned a certain set I looked online. He showed us the type of wood and style it looked like in the store. Overall, he was very communicative, great, and making sure we had our questions answered.

After waiting a couple months for our purchases to arrive, today was the day we received them. After the delivery guys were finished bringing everything in, they informed us that the hardware to attach the mirror to the dresser was not provided? They left with mirror on the floor leaning against the wall. I called the store and was assured someone would be out with the hardware to fix it all up. Instead, a few hours later we were called and asked to check the drawers for the hardware. We had already checked and of course no hardware. We were then told they have to order the hardware and it would be a few weeks but when it arrives to call them and they will send someone out to install. We paid $199 for white glove in-home delivery which must not include ensuring everything is set up properly. This is utterly ridiculous! I'm not a happy customer and most likely will never shop or buy anything from Ashley again. Good Day.

I would rather build furniture from stick in the yard than deal with this disaster of a store. After only have my mattress and bed set for 7 months both were defective and went through the claims process. After 3 months of going in circles with ANDREW GRANT the manager who could care less about helping anyone I finally got a mattress picked out after being told there were no limits (and luckily 4 others heard this as I was on speaker phone) was then told I could not get the mattress. Which was fine, I didn't mind paying the difference but I do not like being called a liar, or being lied too by SCOTT who is the regional sales leader. These two obviously graduated from Clown University and have business sense of a goldfish. After 3.5 months of going back and forth with no resolutions and Andrew telling me he will call me back with no return calls. I asked to speak to someone higher and was in touch with Jeffrey Mills, who was a DOLL. He drove into Lynchburg to meet me and make it right and did. However, the goons at this Lynchburg store couldn't even put the order in correct. They show up to deliver and only have a mattress and box springs- no frame like promised and no order to take the broken bed. Until they have some management change or something -- do not even bother. You'll end up going crazy trying to keep these clowns on track to get anything done. Oh.. and no I never got a refund. They eventually let me trade it all for a mattress that is about the same value as it all. STAY AWAY!

The in store experience was great. Tammy was very sweet and helpful. She worked with us and was patient with us and with our small people running around the store like mad. And didn't have a problem keeping up with us changing our minds a few different times. However, we had to wait an extra month because the distribution center sent half our sectional as the wrong color, confirmed with our receipts this was not Tammy's fault, this was the warehouse who messed up, and all they offered us as compensation was to reschedule the delivery for only a month out instead of 2 months. So in total we're looking at waiting over 3 months for a couch.

HORRIBLE experience, all the way around. So disappointing. We went with Ashley because they had the furniture we liked for a reasonable price, but that's where the good ends. Our salesperson was nice but took THREE HOURS to check us out and has been absolutely zero help with all the mistakes along the way. First, we were "guaranteed" the furniture would be here within 6 weeks. 6 weeks came and went, no furniture, no explanation, no apology. We finally hear that the furniture will be ready but a few pieces won't be ready until 6 weeks after the other pieces, so they'll have to delay our delivery so everything can be delivered together. When we said that wasn't unacceptable, they acted like they were doing us a favor by saying they could deliver the furniture that's ready but we would have to come to the store to get the pieces that come in 6 weeks. Even though we paid for delivery and setup. We're told furniture is ready, will be delivered that week. Get a call from the warehouse...it's actually going to be another 3 weeks. Finally, we get the furniture. Except they forgot 3 of the items. And 2 of the items are wrong (kitchen chairs - wrong color/style). We tried calling our salesperson, she just told us we'd need to call the warehouse. We get a re-delivery of the items they forgot. Wrong again. Through all of this, our salesperson has been zero help, not even apologetic that we had no furniture for months and now have the wrong furniture. We've been unable to reach a manager. Horrible, horrible experience. Go anywhere but here for your furniture needs.

Do not give these lying people your business!!!I went into the store and made an order mid-July. Mind you my husband and I moved here out of state and have NO furniture. The salesman told us that it would be delivered in 2 weeks. Guess how long I have waited??? 6 weeks!! and they still continue to tell me I have to wait another three weeks because "a piece is missing." They have terrible communication because one of the employees told me the missing piece arrived on August 8th. The workers continue to give me and my husband the run around and we see no end in sight. We are now trying to cancel this order of over $4,000. At this point this store needs to either be shut down or get new staff that can communicate better. Let's see if I can get out of this horrible business deal. I will be taking my business to a company that can communicate and respect their customers.

Update: After the horrible encounter with April from the Lynchburg location, Scott the franchise sales director rescheduled the delivery for the final item today 9/1/2022. As I expected today arrives and they are not able to deliver it. We've cancelled the final item and will purchase from somewhere else. Horrible experience. The furniture was scheduled for delivery on August 19th. That day only 3 of the five items showed up. The delivery drivers explained that the other items were left off, and it "happens" often. They attempted to assemble a tv stand in my living room; it fell apart in a pile of bolts, board, and nails on the floor. They took it back. I spoke with Mike, the Lynchburg manager who worked, and had the remaining items delivered the next day; in addition, I had a new tv stand ordered. Today August 27th called to get an update as I had not heard anything on the tv stand. April (Office Manager) answered the phone. I explained the situation and stated that if it takes much longer, I would like to be refunded for the tv stand and go elsewhere. Before I could finish speaking, she cut me off, stating, "I'm trying to help you with this ."I reminded her she was talking to a customer, to which she responded, "I'm trying to help you; you're not going to speak to me this way," then hung up the phone. I called back, asking for the manager and name of the regional. April again answered, shouting at this point, "I"m trying to find out the status, you need to be quiet and allow me to speak to them, or you can call the Roanoke store and deal with them ."She hung up on me three more times, refusing to give the name or contact of a regional. Finally was able to reach Scott with the Roanoke location, who hopefully will be able to resolve the issues.

Orderd a bedroom set In November in June it came in and was delivered the chest was damaged so they did not bring. We just moved to Lynchburg VA from Hawaii and needed furniture for our newly purchased home. We had been on a tight schedule all day and went in 1 hour before closing time. Tammy politely greeted us and ask what we were looking for. We were looking for a dining room table as well as a living room suit. Tammy was able to find us exactly what we were looking for and stayed 45 mins after closing time to assist us in finalizing our purchase. I recommend shopping here for any of your furniture needs. Everyone was very helpful but not pushy either.

It's a nice place, but my complaint is the lady that was assigned to me seemed very aggressive and pushy. When someone is coming to your store to possibly look into buying furniture, this is a significant purchase. It can't be rushed. But she was trying to get me to by the first thing I came across instead of giving me other options to look at. I felt like a number instead of a customer. If I do go back, I'll ask for someone else to assist me. As you were.

I’m very picky with everything. I previewed 5 different stores online before looking at Ashley. I found A colored sofa that caught my attention. I came to the store in hopes to find something similar to compare. 5 sales associates assisted me. They made allowed me to go through my own process without any hassle. Sometimes good things do come easy and the staff at Ashley made me and my money feel appreciated. Update: The following week I received a call stating that my furniture was in and she expressed that my bill wasn’t paid in full and it needed to be before it got delivered. The same day I went over to my local store and paid everything in full. For the next week and a half I received calls regarding delivery day. At the time I was in the middle of a move and had not moved yet. Once everything was set I scheduled my delivery for 3/5/22. 30 minutes before the delivery time, I received a phone call informing me that my furniture was not on the truck NOR had it been in the warehouse. I understand that this isn’t my local stores fault but the initial call I received from the warehouse was VERY disheartening. She spoke with disgust that my bill wasn’t paid for, that was NEVER in the warehouse. The sorry’s are ok but wasting my time and money is disgusting to me. Having to rearrange my schedule for something that SHOULD have been handled properly from the beginning is not how you handle business, yet alone treat customers.
August 11th 2021 my husband and I went to Ashley Furniture on Wards Road Lynchburg VA to get a living room set. 5000 grand later we have one. Its nice not sure after delivery its worth 5 g but ok. Same time we found a dining room set on display we found attractive for our daughter . Sales lady Katherine sells after questioning by us expected delivery date...her sales pitch is oh. It will be here most definitely by Thanksgiving...being a Christmas gift that was perfect and we paid in full. It is now February 9. 2022. Ashley is and has been paid in full since 081220221 yet to fulfill delivery.. if its gonna be May...just say so not to mention lack of concern from upper management...sad. so sad

Went in not sure of what to get. Shaun Lane met us at the door with a warm greeting and told us he would be around if we had any questions and or concerns. I ended up having lots of questions and Shaun was there to answer all of them. He was super friendly and very very helpful. We decided on a sectional but the price was a little over what we wanted to spend so he went and got his manager and worked it out for us to fit our budget. Great experience in all. My parents decided to stay at home (out of state) for the holidays, so I’ve been pretty down. I decided to treat myself to a shopping trip. I don’t go out much due to the pandemic. The manager Jeff absolutely made my day. He was extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Unlike many stores with sales people, he treated me like an old friend. Went to find a sofa that I could get delivered quickly, I know inventory has been and issue. I spoke to Tammy who helped me find a floor model that was available for pick up and in my price range. I looked the sofa up online while waiting to complete paper work and realized a new model was less expensive than what they had planned to charge me for the used floor model by $79 I asked her if they could at least match the cost of the new sofa and I was told no. She argued with me that if I ordered the new one I wouldn’t get it in time and that I would have to pay for delivery. Delivery to your door online is absolutely free. I feel like this is a lack of integrity and price gouging. My need for a sofa was urgent but not enough to pay more for a used one than I would a brand new one. I’m astounded that a business could even possibly do this. PRICE CHECK WHATEVER THEY'RE SELLING YOU ON THIER WEBSITE.

Don't trust there arrival date at all. They said at max it would take 3 months. But now it's 3 months and there saying it might be here in December. I bought it in May. Every time I called they push up the time. Now they pushed it up 3 months. And they probably will do it again. I will never buy anything from them ever again and recommend everyone else I know to do the same

We received everything but the chair that was part of our living room set in mid-June. Since then I had called over 10 times and been into the store several more times and every time I am told "2 or 3 more weeks." The last time I called in mid-August, the store manager Maggie got my name and number and said she would personally keep an eye on it and keep me updated. She didn't call me the first time. I went back into the store this week and had decided to just ask for my money back, but when they looked up the order they said the chair was finally in, at the Roanoke warehouse. I asked why no one called to let me know and she didn't have an answer. Just wrote down their number and said call them when you're on the way to get it. So, today, over 5 months later, I finally have the chair on the back of my truck and am headed home. The gentleman at the distribution warehouse was by far the most polite, professional, and knowledgeable employee we encountered through this whole process. The in store crew doesn't communicate, care, or even act friendly unless you're buying something. We got the royal treatment when shopping and nothing but attitude and excuses for the next 5 months. I will never again get furniture from them and do not recommend them at all.

took 3 months for my sofa and love seat to come in and then it broke both pieces 2 months later tried to file claim with 3rd part warranty and the store did not file the paper work for so had to wait 5 weeks for that 3rd part would not cover because it did not just happen back to the store and it's been 3 months and dealing with them one lie after another and my furniture is still broke do not buy from them
We ordered a mattress on August 2 for delivery August 19. We called today to check delivery time and we shocked to learn that the order was cancelled on August 10. Though the payment still was processed on August 13.No notice was given. No reason was given. Nothing. We wouldn't have found out had we not called to check for delivery time. That is unacceptable.So we called their customer "care" number. We got the run around for several hours. nobody could give us any information other than it was cancelled. When we asked about the payment, they said it will get processed in 7-10 days. Then we found out from another customer service representative, that at the previous calls, nobody had actually put an order to process the refund. They just said it will be done. So this person finally put in the order for the refund. Still it will take 7-10 days to process. Sucks big time.The other part is getting a mattress purchased and delivered quickly. No way. We have to place a new order and just wait for delivery whenever it gets scheduled. We even asked to maybe check with their local stores for us to place the order and have them deliver. But that too was shut down.So, we will never buy anything from Ashley. This is a company that doesn't give a rats' ass about its customer. And we do not recommend any of our friends to deal with them.

I work as a home health nurse in a private residence. The mother of my 6-yr.-old patient ordered furniture in March and STILL has not gotten it. I have been sitting in a lawn chair since then. The local store gave her the runaround every time she called or went there. First, we have the tables and the loveseat, but not the sofa, then it was we have the tables but nothing else. I told her she should get her money back, but, they said they'd have it to her on May 15, then June 16, then July 18. Do not do business with them. Mom stated that she could have received it within a week if she'd bought it online, but they must've been eager to get a commission. I'm an uncomfortable nurse!!!!!!

We purchased a sofa and live seat payed for it in Sept 2020 did not get it till dec22 2020 and now it's June 2021 and it's all broke and we purchased 5 year extended warranty and they inputted the numbers wrong and I can not file a claim went to the store talked to Maggie she said email her pictures and she would take care of it it's been a month no word from her either. Do not buy from them it's all junk made over sea and does not last
I bought furniture from here back in April and was told that there would be a delay on one of the couches but the other one would be able to get here before then (I have no furniture and just moved here) I paid for the delivery fee twice but instead of delivering the one they had in stock they just sold it and I’ve had to wait for both of them to come in. It’s not that big of a deal until more stuff kept pilling on. I was told that up until the point the couches were in my home I could change my mind and get my money back but now that I’m saying I want to return one of the couches they “don’t do returns, only exchanges.” The sales representative just said whatever they could to try to make the sell. I was already weary spending that much money there and I’m starting to regret it. On top of that with delivery they schedule a specific date that you have to be there for which would be perfectly fine if they gave you a time but it’s essentially whenever the hell they want to show up. I work a lot so I don’t have a day that I’m off completely so now I’m deciding weather I need to wait another month so I can request a day off or if I should just drive all the way to Roanoke and pick them up myself.
Certified Home Furnishing Specialist Catherine Reynolds was very helpful, courteous and professional. I ended up buying a dresser at a different furniture retailer, but I had a nice experience at Ashley.

We have utilized this store many times over the years. Always the people in the store to include just recently, have always been courteous, not pushy, and have honored their commitments. This time it happens one of our orders is taking longer than anticipated, but almost every other order we have made, was very quick to be delivered, or available to pickup. I/we realize nobody is perfect, but they try their best within what is in their control, and we plan on continuing to shop here at the Lynchburg store. We have utilized them for both our business and our families homes.

I went into the store last week regarding an issue I had with a purchase from July 2020. I was greeted at the door by the store manager, Lhea. Lhea went above and beyond to help me with my issue and helped me with a new purchase as well. At checkout, Layla was very kind and took my payment and got me out of the store quickly! I definitely recommend Ashley Home Furniture!
Honestly not my favorite place in town. It's okay, which is why I gave it a 4, good selections, reasonable prices and easy to find location. My wife and I have been there at least twice in the last 2 months and each time came away with this feeling like we were in trouble because we didn't buy some. Feeling like it was our job to be pleased with them and find something to buy, if you know what I mean. Let me be clear, no one was rude. And every furniture store in town "hawks" you. I suppose every place has their sales personal on commission. Such is life, they have bill's to pay and need to make a living.

Do not order from this store. They are very unprofessional. We ordered bedroom furniture on August 22nd for a family member moving into a apartment. We were told the bed would be ready in time for their September 19th move-in date. When I called the store to inquire about the delivery time because I hadn’t heard from anyone, I was informed by our salesperson (C. Jennings) that the date changed. He had no real concern about the fact NO ONE CALLED/EMAILED to tell us NOT to drive hours down to VA, NOT to take off from our much needed jobs, NOT to have our family member give their current landlord a September 19th exit, NOT to gather friends to help with move, NOT to rent a Uhaul, etc. I could go on. C. Jennings was very kind the day we made the purchase. Today was a different story. He made his sale and that’s all that mattered. COVID19 has done many things to our world including claiming the life of my beautiful mother in April, so to speak to someone who really didn’t care about how the lack of customer service was very upsetting. The supposed date now for it to arrive in the warehouse is now October 6. I told C. Jennings that I would call close to that date. He asked me why would I be calling. Huh? Why would I be calling? What kind of question is that? I said I’d be calling to do the job he and his store didn’t do and that is to follow up on the delivery date. Next steps for us is to plead with the management of the place our family member was exiting tomorrow. Hoping they can stay longer. Choose a salesperson who cares enough to COMMUNICATE with their PAYING customers. Choose someone who will FOLLOW UP!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Where do I begin? I went into the local store and was assisted by a very nice man named Terry. I just moved and chose the table set that he double checked was “in the warehouse and will ship in a few days.” At checkout, the receptionist/office manager? told me they “don’t schedule that, the warehouse will call you,” when asked about setting up delivery. Meanwhile, she and the store manager went back and forth over how terrible it was to work there and conduct interviews for what seemed like an inordinate amount of time, considering a customer was present and waiting to pay. Got home, waited a week. Card was charged-no word from the warehouse. Called the store-they couldn’t even find my order-then directed me to call the warehouse myself-a futile fiasco. Second call to the store, I get the store manager who couldn’t give me an ounce of information nor check the point of sale system because he couldn’t operate the system-AS A STORE MANAGER. He offered a refund, but told me to call back when someone else was working because again, he couldn’t do that-the store MANAGER. Finally figured out how to do it myself, after spending an hour online. I’ve been a long time customer of Ashley and like their selection, so, chalking this up to poor management in one store, I ordered again online the following week. Two days later, I was invoiced. joy! The chairs arrived on time-but the table wasn’t with them. I waited another week, checked online, and noticed the table shipped separately a few days after the chairs. Having not received it and not having a tracking number, I set out on an epic journey of disappointment and elevator music-one that spanned four hours in two days ON HOLD. I never got through, but did leave four messages after being on hold an hour each call. Those were never returned. Desperate, I search the net for Ashley Customer Service and eventually come across a social media post where THEY WERE ACTUALLY ANSWERING in the comments! I reached out via Twitter and Facebook, and received generated responses for about a day. After sending in all the info, the twitter lady assured me the table was delivered and bid me a good day. Eventually, after two more days, they figured out my shipment was “lost,” refunded my money, and instructed me to donate the chairs and send a receipt for a refund on them as well. One month of waiting for a dining set plus three weeks of nonexistent customer support means I’ve officially closed out my account with Ashley and will never make that mistake again. Poor training and poor service on EVERY level!! You can purchase Ashley furniture on Amazon and through Walmart, if you’re brand specific—but I advise you never to even try to purchase using Ashley’s website or in the stores. You will get nothing but headaches!

Communicate! Let your customers know when and where their items are! I have only gotten the run around for SIX MONTHS waiting on my furniture. If I could share without giving a star at all, I would. On Memorial Day my husband and I ordered 8 dining room chairs by going in the store. Now mind you we visited the store a day earlier and picked out the chair we wanted and was told it can be ordered separately (the sales associate even looked at the tag on the chair). Well, got a receipt in the mail today and it stated bar stools. Husband then went back to the store and said I think there is a mistake, we ordered dining room chairs. Well, we found out that particular chair only comes in a set. Now that is upsetting, especially since we ordered on Memorial Day and had we known we could have found a chair some other place on sale! Husband then told me a credit will be issued by Wednesday! AND DON'T FORGET IT TAKES 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR THE MONEY TO POST BACK ON MY CARD! Do you think. I MEAN you charged me right away!!!! Anyways, I'm like okay, let me call and ask for some type of discount toward another chair as we missed out on other sales. NOPE - they can't do that because that chair doesn't even show up online. Well OKAY, that's not how I saw the item! And I didn't make the mistake. Again I was told we'll refund you and I said your darn right you'll refund me and then.......the office assistant manager said, we're not going to do that. DO WHAT!!!! AND AFTER I finally got her managers name from her she hung up on me! So the heck with them - they'll never get my business again and I recommend you don't do business with them either!!!!!!!
Had furniture delivered May 5th. Sofa and Loveseat. Compartment in the center of Love Seat had broken hinge. Reported it that day and sent pic as requested. Several phone calls and emails and nothing. I just ask them to send me a hinge. I have now left a message for a manager. We shall see but so far customer service is non responsive.

I bought a mattress, box spring, and a sofa from them a year ago and had no complaints with anything. However when my boyfriend went there to buy a new mattress they would not except his American Express card even though the website says they do. We ended up just buying the mattress from them online no problem, but one of the ladies that works there tried to say that it would be more expensive with the delivery fee but we didn’t pay anything for delivery online. I’m not sure why but they wanted him to use a different card and couldn’t even give me a reason when I asked why they didn’t accept American Express. They really just cost the sales person a sale. Other than that no complaints with his actual mattress.
We were in the store 30 minutes and none of the sales associate t sooner to us. They were too busy making personal phone calls. On the way out over lady spoke to us but it was too late and she was already busy helping another customer. Probably won't be going back.

ordered a new mattress and was advised it would be here within a week...A WEEK. 3.5 weeks went by before it arrived. called them twice, the first time they told me I would receive a callback with the estimated delivery date, never received that call. the second call I made the day it actually arrived. pretty sure this is common courtesy to call the customer AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES. will not be purchasing through this company anymore.

My husband and I were in the market for a new bedroom set. We found one that we liked the appearance of, so I called the Lynchburg store, spoke with Tammy, and ordered it. Two days later, we were in Roanoke and stopped in that location to take one final look at the set. Upon looking at it more closely, we realized how poor the quality was and decided that we did not want it. I called the Lynchburg store to cancel my order. I had hoped that it had not been ordered yet, since only 2 days had gone by. I was told that the furniture had been ordered and that I would have to pay a 20% re-stocking fee, even though the furniture was still at the warehouse. I still cancelled the order because the furniture is put together with the cheapest materials and doesn't look like it would hold up at all. I was told that I would receive a call no later than the following day to finish up my cancellation and to refund the money back to my credit card. No call ever came. Three days went by... no call. So I called them. I was told that someone would get right back to me to finish up my cancellation. Two more days go by... no call. So I call again today and spoke with Shameika. She informs me that my cancellation request was never even started and that she would start the process immediately. She was the only pleasant part of this nightmare. Within 10 minutes of speaking with her, Tammy the sales lady calls me to try to save her commission and tries to talk my into going forward with my order. Funny how they can call you back when they want to sell you something, but they can't call you when they owe you money back. So not only have I had to make 3 calls to them to process a simple cancellation... I'm getting hit with a re-stocking fee for furniture that never left their warehouse and I am paying credit card interest because they are taking their dear sweet time to refund my money. Needless to say, I will NEVER deal with Ashley Furniture ever again and I would encourage anyone reading this to take your business elsewhere. The customer service is non-existent. They are more than willing to call you right back when you are giving them money... but good luck hearing from them if they owe you. Update: Shamieka called this morning as promised and refunded all of my money. Wonderful customer service from her. Shamieka... if you are reading this... thank you for all of your efforts and for taking care of my situation. You are an asset to that company and they need to hire many more like you!

I ended up needing to get a smaller sofa, they worked with me on the exchange with no problem and saved me money. I didn't use their delivery because that cost is much to high in my opinion! Very little help in the store look like most of them are glue to a chair and my unwilling to help. Maybe they are not allowed to help lift something. Made a purchase that was in the rear of the store and had to drag it all the way to the front of the store. I was thankful that the young man named Ryan that I had talked to on Saturday was coming across the parking lot he was not on his job just walking by and stopped and helped me load my purchase. I have no idea how this company survives it's sad when you've worked all your life and age 74 can walk in the store and pay almost $600 for an item and have to haul it from the rear of the store to your truck outdoors. There is no way that I could ever recommend the Lynchburg Ashley store to anyone. I have lived in Lynchburg almost my whole life and it made purchases at almost every furniture store in town and yes I think I got a good price prices and everything what happened to service and willing to help a customer.
If I could give it a negative star I would. They have lied to me on a number of occasions. I was told my furniture would be in on the 8th, we are now weeks past that and they tell me it will be even longer before i get my furniture. The experience I have had had been horrible. Do not deal with these people. STAY FAR FAR away.
Not sure why we keep going back here, because we've rarely had a good experience. We check once or twice a year when looking for an item for our home. We've occasionally gotten a pleasant helpful sales person, but mostly not. This most recent experience this week was the worst ever. I'd like to say first that my husband and I are not rude or difficult people. We are friendly, patient, and very understanding of what salespersons deal with. Anyway, we had found an item online, but realized that Ashley furniture sold it, so we decided to buy local, for convenience and community support. The salesperson said that they do price-match, but every time we showed a lower price for the exact items, his manager said "we don't match prices from there." Also, our sales person seemed to be rushing us even though there were very few other customers. Surprisingly, though, we did decide to purchase something! Next, we were informed that we'd have to pay $149 shipping/delivery charge, even though the items were already in stock at the warehouse. Our only other option would be for them order the items to be delivered to our house, unassembled, in boxes in 4-6 weeks. In other words, just like ordering the items online ourselves, but not even getting them as quickly. We decided to pay the shipping/delivery fee, mostly just so that the items would be assembled for us. When it was time to pay, the woman at the counter barely spoke to us or even look at us, was very unpleasant, and seemed extremely annoyed. THEN we noticed that the order had been written up for the wrong item(s). When we pointed that out, she was reeeeeally annoyed! When the price for the correct items turned out to be much higher than expected, we decided not to go through with the order. This made them all very annoyed. Needless to say, my husband and I vowed that this was officially our last visit to Ashley Furniture in Lynchburg, at least. There's just nothing we'd want/need badly enough go through this ever again.

Hands down the worst place ever. Salesscrub Tim lied about time it takes for furniture to arrive. Now my kids don't have their beds. All online prices are cheaper than in store. Don't even waste your time going to Lynchburg Virginia location unless you want to be robbed!

Great place for high quality, mostly affordable furniture. My wife and I were immediately greeted by Tammy who was eager to help us focus/find the sectional couch. We need to replace our old one and she handed us her card to ask any questions in the future. We already bought a dresser that's lasted years already so we knew we were getting quality products.
**PLEASE READ** I purchased beds that I had seen online. When I got home I realized that the online prices were different from the in-store purchase. I called them and they told me they were able to match online prices. When I got to the store they told me that I could not match it because I can't order it online. They didn't even have the furniture in the store! I was told there was nothing they could do. They told me that I would have to pay 20% restocking fee including for delivery that I never even received! So they basically missed out on $900 in which I would have paid if they would have price matched it, and I'm out of $255. I Do Not recommend anyone to go there because they'll lie to you about price matching and then take your 20% restocking fee!
I ordered a coffee table and a side table for my living room. After 5 weeks, the distribution center in Roanoke was supossed to deliver my furniture this Saturday, from 4pm to 7pm, and they never came. No one called back to explain why they were not able to deliver the furniture. I spoke with the Regional Manager, who was kind and apologized for the whole incident, and said they were going to refund the $145 distribution cost, and that the furniture would arrive on Tuesday, at the time I chose. He even called me back to confirm the time of arrival, and to let him know if there were any issues. Overall, their furniture is beautiful and they have a wonderful selection, but I don't know if I would come back to do future purchases, unless they make changes to their distribution center.
Was pleased with the service. Definitely going back for my bedroom set.
Although I did not purchase the furniture, Julyanna was helpful and informative. When I do make a purchase, I will seek her knowledgeable assistance.

Don&'t ever buy anything from this place. Ordered bedroom furniture 10 weeks ago! Still have t received anything. Every time I called to inquire about my order I was told &" the system is down&" which was a lie! The system can&'t be down the three times I&'ve had to call. Finally when I get a call saying my furniture is in to scheduale delivery. I schedualed a delivery and it never came and never got a call!!!!! Went to the store to set up another delivery and was told the warehouse would call me that day and they never called me back!!!!! Do yourself a favor and never buy anything from these unprofessional kids they have working on there!!!!! You will be lucky if you even get your order!! Also they charge a 150 dollar delivery fee and can&'t even give you a call telling you they aren&'t comming!!!!!! Worst experience ever buying anything!!!!!!! Maybe Comcast customer service is even a little better at this place. Buy at your own risk!!!!!!!
Ordering furniture from this store takes a while and the managers aren't professional they will lie to you and say that district manager in store and in which isn't.I had bad experience never again. 5weeks and few days for my furniture delivery next time order from Roanoke store.
Our sales person, Ryan, was very patient and helpful. The furniture is well made and stylish. The prices can’t be beat. An enjoyable experience buying furniture which is not an easy task.

Nice but rude
Well-informed but low-pressure sales team. The salesmen and women were kind, helpful, and even interacted graciously with my two young children. We will definitely be back when we are in need of any new furniture. We couldnt have had a better experience!

Never has anything in stock has to order it. You have to pay a 25.00 gas fee to get it to Lynchburg. Then 150.00 delivered to your house.
