Bo was great—kind, fun, and helpful! He stayed after he was scheduled to leave to help us. Kim, the manager, was also great and answered some questions we had. They have a lot of pride in their company!

My husband and I had a very good experience with Bo as our salesman at the Ashley store on Hull Street in Midlothian, VA. We were there for a long time, looking at a lot of different couches and recliners, and trying many. Bo was near enough for us to catch his attention if we had a question, and he had thorough answers to everything we asked. He was professional and friendly. We found the ideal furniture for our needs. We are happy it is scheduled for delivery just a week after our visit to the store.

Rich was amazing at the Midlothian Va. store!!! He was very helpful, listened to our needs and got us exactly what we were looking for. He was great with our kids and very patient. Thank you Rich for all your help.

From the time I entered up until I left the sales associate Rich helped me to find the right furniture. I was very specific in what I wanted and very particular about the set up and Rich was very patient and able to find what I was looking for. I Will be returning for all future purchases and asking for Rich!

Rich was amazing! He allowed us to walk around without following us and harassing us. He let us do our thing. Once we were ready he was so helpful with answering our questions and even showing us stuff about the furniture and how certain pieces worked. He was perfect!

I ordered furniture in mid-September, it arrived on time, delivery was fine, however, one of the items I ordered did not fit in my space. The delivery guys did not take it off the truck. I spoke to someone at Ashley that day and she stated she would check on a refund since it didn't fit, but I would likely receive store credit and someone from my local store would contact me soon. About 2 weeks later I get a call that I could only receive store credit and I could go in at anytime and use it. I went in that weekend and picked out an item that would use most of the credit. Because it was a Saturday the people helping said they could not confirm my credit, but everything is fine, my item would be delivered on Friday. On Thursday I noticed that I had gotten no confirmation emails or communication of a time for delivery so I called the store. Apparently there was a note in the system that I had no store credit. No one contacted me about that. I told the person what happened and they said they needed to speak with their manager but they were not there as they were off on Thursdays and Fridays. She advised that someone would call me Saturday. No one called me on Saturday. I just called today at 1017 am and got a message on the customer care option that it was outside of business hours and their business hours are 800 am to 500 pm, so my call is during business hours. I called back to speak at someone at the store, however, there was no answer, it just rang. Maybe this 1 star review will motivate someone to work with me to resolve this issue. This is ridiculous. I will not be purchasing anything from Ashley again, and I do not recommend them.

My husband and I recently bought two recliners from Ashley Furniture, and we had a wonderful experience. Our sales associate, Khadija, was fantastic. She gave us plenty of space to browse at our own pace without feeling rushed or pressured. Once we narrowed down our options, she was extremely helpful—patiently answering all of our questions, explaining the features of each recliner, and giving us a clear breakdown of the pricing for each choice. Her professionalism and friendly approach made the whole process easy and enjoyable. We’re very happy with our purchase and with the excellent service we received from Khadija!

I had a wonderful experience at Ashley! Chris was such an amazing person to work with when picking out furniture for my future home! It was such a smooth and positive experience. If you’re in the market for furniture, go see Chris at Ashley on Hull!

Check the website pricing before you buy in the store! If it's lower, then ONLY visit the store to see it in person and then go buy it online to save time and hassle. We recently saw a set off furniture we liked online, so we went up to the Hull Street store to check it out. When they put together the in-store price, it was almost double the online pricing. Sales Manager came over and rudely questioned if we were looking at the right website and if we had entered our correct zip code. Come on! She eventually matched the furniture prices and then even tried to ding us extra on delivery compared to online. It was pretty insulting and not the way to earn someone's repeat business. In all, the whole buying process took close to an hour - mostly fighting with the sales manager to match their company's own online prices. Even the whole sales process is antiquated - each item number had to be written down and then manually entered into the system. If we had walked out and bought on our phone after seeing/touching in person, it would have all taken 5 minutes. Lesson learned. One star for the actual furniture. It seems to be good quality, and we're happy with it. One star for our sales person, Juan. He was nice and meant well despite his manager's antics.

I'm writing in reference to the Ashley store on Hull St., Road & a particular employee by the name of "Bo". I should first mention that as a former retail multi unit Regional Sales Manager, I know how to look for (recruit & hire) people that can deliver superb customer service. I did so for many years. With that being said, Bo is someone that I would have surely recruited out of Ashley furniture because he is a fabulous salesman who takes his time with his customers, goes the extra mile & makes the whole experience pleasurable. Our house experienced a flood & we have been going back-and-forth to that Store at least 5 times or more. Bo is always there to happily greet us & assist us to coordinate carpets, curtains & whatever else we need help with. He couldn't be nicer. I would love to see him receive a raise, bonus, promotion, whatever you are willing to offer him because he certainly deserves the best.

Total incompetence at the highest level. We ordered a couch, a dining room table with chairs, and a rocking chair which was on sale because it was the floor model. The buying process was fine but on delivery day, only the couch and table showed up. So then I had to miss a day of work to recieve the rest of the stuff. On the second delivery day only the dining room chairs showed up, and nobody seemed to know where the rocking chair was. I asked if I could just have my money back for it so I dont have to miss any more work. They said no because it was a final sale product even though no one at the time could locate it. They found it in a warehouse about a week later and supposedly delivering it today. We'll see what happens. Ive lost more money missing work than I paid for the chair, and the fact that losing the chair and/or not being able to deliver on the agreed upon date is not an acceptable reason for refund is a joke.

We were greeted very cheerfully as we entered by Khadija. She was very helpful, informative and patient as we decided which sofa and chairs we wanted to purchase. The actual purchase process was quick and easy. We will be back!

The customer service at this location has been top tier. We had a small issue with the factory itself and everyone at the Hull St location has been so helpful to fix the issue. My partner and I are repeat customers and would recommend this Ashley Store location to anyone and everyone!

Do not purchase the Protection Plan. And do not trust any warranty. Purchased a sofa in January. The cushions started showing integrity loss in June. I called the store twice and never received a call back in July. Filed a claim with the Protection Plan and it was denied saying it's a manufacture issue. Went to the store in August and the manager totally agreed with me and said I would receive a call from corporate. They said they would not replace the cushions just the fabric. I sent pictures where it show the cushions sinking in by up to 3 inches. Do not buy Protection Plan from them. When they say the delivery cost will be discounted $100 if you buy the Protection Plan, they just change it to curb side delivery. And will not bring it in your house. I live alone and doing this was not an easy task. That is why I wanted to pay full service delivery and did not need the Protection Plan! No pets also, so why do I need to pay this extra coverage that was denied? Stay away.

Extremely disappointed and feel the need to caution others. My sales agent, Greg, used deceptive tactics—like secretly enrolling me in a $500+ protection plan without my consent-luckily, I caught it and had it removed, but it made me question everything. I also clearly stated I needed my couch by mid-August; which he promised 8/7 arrival to store when purchasing, then 8/9 when I asked for udpate he claimed it was “entered wrong” and is not sure when it will arrive now. When I tried to address these issues, the store’s response was like passing a hot potato—everyone said it was someone else’s problem, and no one helped. I’d strongly caution working with certain sales agents at this store, and based on my experience, be wary of the culture at Ashley on Hull Street.

Chris Wallace was the sales person. He is very aggressive and I felt rushed the whole time. I liked him the beginning until it was contract signing time. He got noticeable upset with me because I chose to read what I was signing. I really wanted to cancel everything, but the lady that works at desk was kind and manager. He never said thank you for your purchase. I had a few other things I wanted but I will get them elsewhere. He will not be my sales person.

My experience was fantastic. Khadija was the person whom helped me with finding exactly what I was looking for. Very knowledgeable about the financing options. She also worked at a great pace to get me in and out of the store quickly smoothly and with everything I needed. I did not have much time the day I stopped by the store. She worked diligently to assist me. I was in and out of the store in less than an hour. And my furniture was delivered 2 days later. What more can you ask for?

My first experience with Ashley furniture. I ordered furniture from Ashley’s over a month ago with an estimated delivery being before July 4th — and that date came and went with no updates, no calls, no emails, and no furniture. I had to reach out myself just to be told that my entire order had been backordered, and apparently it had been for some time. The sales rep failed to tell me this when I purchased. When I called, a sales rep admitted that most of their items get backordered pretty often, yet no one informed me of this when I placed the order. They clearly know this is a common issue and still choose not to be upfront about it. To make matters worse, during checkout, they tried to add random, unexplained fees to my order. I had to push back just to get the price I was originally quoted. And after all this — the delay, the lack of communication, the inconvenience — Ashley’s refused to offer me any sort of discount, credit, or reimbursement. Nothing. Not even a small gesture to acknowledge the terrible experience. Ashley’s has shown that once they get your money, they do not care about the customer experience. No transparency, no communication, no accountability. I will never shop here again, and I highly recommend you don’t either. Nice furniture tho but not worth the wait.

Hey Khadija! Here's your google review you overzealously asked us for at the time of our purchase! Do not buy furniture from this store! Our salesperson rushed us through the purchase of our sectional and did not confirm the layout of the model we wanted. We took for granted the information was correct and that our salesperson was competent. We received the opposite of what we wanted. The delivery men would not take the chaise back despite refusing delivery. When contacting costumer support, they told us there would be a 30% restock fee, even though it was their fault that we got the wrong one. We are highly disappointed due to spending thousands at their store then being told we would have to pay for the mistake of our salesperson. We will not be buying from there again.

I bought a chaise lounge sofa and decided later to get the matching ottoman. When I went back in I had a detailed conversation with the salesman Muhammed to confirm that they would attach the legs to the ottoman if I picked it up instead of having it delivered. I was only aware of this need because I watched them attach the legs to my sofa and the ottoman was from the same line. He assured me twice that yes they would fix it up and attach the legs and make sure it was ready to go before I took it. He was pushy and short with me the whole time and I got the feeling he just wanted to be done with me. They did NOT attach the legs and refused to do so because I did not realize it until I got it home because they had it wrapped up. I asked if there was anything they could do to help and the guy said no. I have arthritis and struggle to do things like that. They were no help at all and did not seem to care that the salesman had mislead me. Plus don’t think if you buy anything and decide you don’t like it they will work with you. Forget it. All sales final no discussion. Buy your furniture somewhere else.

Before you go to the store, realize you won’t get the whole story right away. We purchased furniture on 18 November and we were told we will be getting a call within the next week for a delivery date because everything was in. After waiting a week and a half I went into the office to speak with a manager. The only thing she could say was there must’ve been a miscommunication. I had to let her know there was no miscommunication because we were told that the furniture was in. Now last week we were told it will be in on December 2. So we waited till December 3 and we called to check on our furniture that we had paid for. I spoke with them at 2 PM. I was informed that they were waiting on one more piece and they will call me back in a few hours. After not receiving a call I decided to call them back at 7:30 tonight. And we’re being told that one piece is still not accounted for . Nobody can justify or explain their lack of communication, but of course they have no problem taking the money and keeping it. They have not lived up to their end but the only thing they can say is oh you can’t get your money back but we can give you store credit. At this point, they should be offering something else because of the lack of customer service. But this is the same store that told me I did not have their store credit card on file until I had to show it to them on my phone. I will not be recommending this store for a while

It has been a horrible experience from the Midlothian Ashley Furniture store. I’m over here still waiting for a phone call to figure all of this out. Thanksgiving is this week and I still don’t have all my furniture. I can’t wait to tell all my family who is coming over to my house who will have no where to sit because of the missing Kitchenette and see my TV on the floor because the TV Stand is wrong. Worst experience ever. glad to see they care enough to take a moment to call an upset customer. My experience: I ordered my items from the store and I add the extended protection. We go over the items and make me aware that a TV Stand I want is one back order but the rest of my order is to arrive. Perfect, no worries that works for me. When delivery happens - I am told the Kitchenette I ordered was not on the truck, forgotten at the warehouse. I ask them if they can go grab that, no. Customer service says they will bring that when they deliver the TV Stand the following week. TV Stand delivery - 2 issues - 1) The delivery guys bring my TV Stand in a box and tell me they aren’t assembling the item. I am taken aback. I tell them it’s supposed to be put together for me. All my other furniture I purchased was assembled during the last delivery. They call customer service. During the call I am told that this item is self assembled by the customer. I asked why wasn’t I told this during the ordering process? Luckily, I am quite able to assemble myself, but to me that’s not the real point. 2) We move on with the call and I ask them to just bring the kitchenette in and let’s get on with the delivery. They look confused. THEY FORGOT THE KITCHENETTE AGAIN! Still on the phone with the customer service, she says ‘oh, it’s still at the store location. Do you want to go pick it up?’ I reply with ‘ma’am, I paid for delivery and assembly. Why am I seeming to have to do it myself?’ I start to get frustrated and resigned to the fact that I will have to do this myself. So, I ask ‘How difficult is the Kitchenette to assemble myself’ her reply is ‘oh, we don’t recommend assembling it yourself as it will void the warranty’……. This has me pause, as she just told me the TV Stand was self assembled. I ask ‘will putting my tv stand together void the warranty that I purchased?’ Her reply is ‘oh the TV stand isn’t covered under any warranty because it is self assembled’ Why wasn’t this explained at time of purchase?? Needless to say, I am beyond upset. But wait it gets worse from here. Saturday evening I decide I’m gonna bust open this TV stand and assemble it over a glass of wine. I’m in build mode so not really paying attention to what’s actually in the box just following the instructions. After I get the basic exterior shown, I noticed that the color does not look good with my floors in my living room, which makes me question: why I even purchased this color anyway? Then that’s when I realized it’s not the right TV stand! I scroll back through my sales person and I text message and review the invoice. I compare the invoice to the SKU on the box, which shows that it matches. I scroll back up through our text messages some more to see the screenshot that my sales person sent me of the TV stand that I wanted, which was correct, so how do I have the wrong TV stand ordered?

A great experience! I brought the family to decide on a new couch together and the staff was very accommodating, helpful and professional. Highly recommend! See Bo!

Christopher saved the day!! I went into the store looking for a bedroom set and I didn’t feel I received good service from one of the sales people. Christopher was working with another customer but stopped to offer a sincere apology and assured me that he would make sure I’m satisfied and taken care of. We exchanged numbers and my fiancé and I came back into the store and we took up A LOT of his time. We changed our minds several times, until we felt comfortable with our decision so this was not an easy sell to say the least, but Christopher was present and patient with us the entire time!!! Ashley furniture on Hull st in Midlothian VIrginia, is beyond amazing! One particular reason they are so amazing is because of Khadija. She is an absolute ray of sunshine and positive energy that it just radiates out. We had been looking for a particular couch for our very particular living room set up. I kept coming across their proformance couch in stone. I decided to walk in on a day off and just take a look. Low and behold the couch I was looking at, was right there when I walked on display. I was greeted by Khadija, and I explained my circumstances and the reasons for the kind of couch I needed. She immediately put me at ease. She talked with me, got to know me and didn't just see me as a customer. She took me under her wing and explained everything. A few days later my boyfriend and I went back and ordered the couch from her. Let me say when I walked in she gave me a hug and was so excited to see me, that not only my boyfriend but the other associates thought we were long lost friends. Following the days after ordering the couch and ottoman, she stayed in contact and went ABOVE and beyond her job. Her manager did the same for us. I do not know the managers name, but please know you are so appreciated!!!! If I had/have any questions Khadija has promptly messaged me back even when she didn't need to, it was on her own time. I'm going to back track, because the day we ordered our couch I called my parents and shared how amazing of experience we had, and how much I adored working with Khadija. My parents went the next day and got 2 chairs. They both said they have never had such an enjoyable time shopping for furniture. My family and I have already said we will not work with anyone else. She and Ashley Home Store furniture, have my whole families buisness. If you are in need of something for your home PLEASE GO SEE HER! She makes you feel like family and not just a number. 9/19 No response to the email we replied to yesterday & was told last night that a supervisor would get in contact with us today but have not gotten a call. We immediately filed a claim that the order was wrong upon delivery on 9/13 and going on a week with no resolution. 9/18 Just recently placed 3 orders with Ashley totaling over $10000. One order has been delivered thus far and was submitted incorrectly. We wanted the Rawcliffe w/Ottoman shown on the show room floor. However, what we received was not the the same pieces. We got a response today that they could not fix it because what we got what the same thing on the showroom floor. I am hoping they are not flat out lying about what’s on their showroom floor and they are just being misinformed in the customer care center of what’s on their showroom floor at this location. It is a 4 piece Rawcliffe w/ ottoman on the floor, and we got a 5 piece sectional, so not the same. So luckily we took pictures of the showroom floor pieces. I was told we would get a phone call on this issue but it was an email so I responded to the email and currently awaiting a response to see if this is going to be easily fixed by replacing it with the correct piece (which is very simple) or if we are cancelling the rest of our pending deliveries and not making anymore of our future purchases. So I am hoping this is made right by customer ‘care’ before I post my next update on here. One of our orders was already submitted incorrectly before as well resulting in us making 3 trips to resign as well.

The Ashley furniture store on Hull St Rd has a sales rep that everyone should ask for. Kenny Thompson. ..From the moment he introduced himself Kenny stood out as a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesman. He answered every question without hesitation and was never pushy or trying to impress. His knowledge of the manufacturing process of the furniture and how well they stood by the product was impressive. Time to buy furniture..seek out Kenny!

I’m updating my review of my purchase, based on my purchase experience with the delivery experience. -UPDATE- Delivery experience The bed was delivered and assembled. It was as a very snug fit (mattress touching) on the headboard and footboard. I just assumed it was because my mattress was very thick. Delivery team left. My suspicion continued so I measured the frame… It is a King size frame, we specifically, multiple times during checkout, when the order said “King”. To that Christopher stated “No problem, the frame is adjustable, they take care of it when they get there.” Now our split adjustable frame catches the against the padding of the headboard. I called the Ashley location on Hull St, and was given a customer service number that was no longer active. I called back and used the customer service option on the phone tree. Because of the hold time, I used the call back feature. When the call came in, I answered and was immediately put on hold, then disconnected. I have holding 10 mins now, so I decided to update this review, with then information I will communicate to customer service…. and the call disconnected again. -Purchase experience- “We worked with Christopher at the Hull St. location. He made the process smooth. It’s great to work with someone who listens to you instead of selling to you. After my wife and I went back and forth on our favorite bed frames, Chris closed us out in minutes. Thanks Christopher for your patience.”

UPDATE: 9/17/14 So unprofessional. I ordered a bed from the online store with a scheduled delivery date of 9/17/24 which is why I went into the store to get the mattress on 9/11/24. Khadija assured me that the mattress would be ready for pick up on 9/12/24. I called several times on 9/12/24 for an update, finally I was told, “sorry it won’t be in until next week. Our truck comes from the Fredericksburg warehouse on Tuesday 9/17 and your mattress will be in then.” Today it’s Tuesday 9/17/24, I’ve already taken my daughters old bed and mattress out of her room and put it in her little sisters room. And her new bed was delivered and set up. I called the store and the representative tells me “I’m sorry for the inconvenience but the mattress wasn’t on the truck today. I’ve put it on our MTO and it should be in next week” !!! I’m so upset. I explained to her again, why this is beyond more than a small inconvenience and she tells me “I’ll make a note and give it to my manager”. Ridiculous. I could have gone to Haynes , or a mattress store, ordered it off line or just had my husband pick it up in his truck from Fredericksburg as it’s not even that far away. And to think, I paid a delivery fee just to have them bring it from Fredericksburg to Richmond. Moral: I’ll continue to shop online. I’ve ordered many pieces of furniture from Ashley online and never had an issue. I’m highly disappointed in their In person customer service & definitely won’t do it again. Khadija was very warm and friendly as soon as I stepped into the store. I was able to get quickly tell Her what I wanted and she efficiently showed me items that fit my needs. I was able to schedule to get my items faster than I anticipated and was in and out in no time.

This was such an amazing business interaction. We came from the Richmond store and it was a disastrous experience. In this store, they care. They will take care of you and that means a lot. Blake was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. Not incessantly on us, but near enough that when we were ready he was there to help and figure out the right product for our needs. He was insistent also that we feel and see the pieces on the floor. Like I said, they’re not just selling to sell, they care about customer satisfaction. I would be very careful that your item is ordered correctly and your salesperson knows what they are doing. I was told I would a recliner in 2-3 days as I was told it was in warehouse. This did not happen. I got a recliner after 5-6 phones calls to the store and with every call was told my order had not been put in and that they ( person on phone) would put in system. Well who ever "they" are this was not every done and finally called customer service on phone ( not part of store) and they said no recliners were in warehouse and I would get 1 on next shipment. About 3wks later I have a recliner. Do not waste your time with this store or the manager??? if there is one that doesn't seem to care about returning calls. Assure you actually have an order in place and then call customer service to assure it is in system correctly...don't' rely on what the store tells you.
