It has been a horrible experience from the Midlothian Ashley Furniture store. I’m over here still waiting for a phone call to figure all of this out. Thanksgiving is this week and I still don’t have all my furniture. I can’t wait to tell all my family who is coming over to my house who will have no where to sit because of the missing Kitchenette and see my TV on the floor because the TV Stand is wrong. Worst experience ever. glad to see they care enough to take a moment to call an upset customer. My experience: I ordered my items from the store and I add the extended protection. We go over the items and make me aware that a TV Stand I want is one back order but the rest of my order is to arrive. Perfect, no worries that works for me. When delivery happens - I am told the Kitchenette I ordered was not on the truck, forgotten at the warehouse. I ask them if they can go grab that, no. Customer service says they will bring that when they deliver the TV Stand the following week. TV Stand delivery - 2 issues - 1) The delivery guys bring my TV Stand in a box and tell me they aren’t assembling the item. I am taken aback. I tell them it’s supposed to be put together for me. All my other furniture I purchased was assembled during the last delivery. They call customer service. During the call I am told that this item is self assembled by the customer. I asked why wasn’t I told this during the ordering process? Luckily, I am quite able to assemble myself, but to me that’s not the real point. 2) We move on with the call and I ask them to just bring the kitchenette in and let’s get on with the delivery. They look confused. THEY FORGOT THE KITCHENETTE AGAIN! Still on the phone with the customer service, she says ‘oh, it’s still at the store location. Do you want to go pick it up?’ I reply with ‘ma’am, I paid for delivery and assembly. Why am I seeming to have to do it myself?’ I start to get frustrated and resigned to the fact that I will have to do this myself. So, I ask ‘How difficult is the Kitchenette to assemble myself’ her reply is ‘oh, we don’t recommend assembling it yourself as it will void the warranty’……. This has me pause, as she just told me the TV Stand was self assembled. I ask ‘will putting my tv stand together void the warranty that I purchased?’ Her reply is ‘oh the TV stand isn’t covered under any warranty because it is self assembled’ Why wasn’t this explained at time of purchase?? Needless to say, I am beyond upset. But wait it gets worse from here. Saturday evening I decide I’m gonna bust open this TV stand and assemble it over a glass of wine. I’m in build mode so not really paying attention to what’s actually in the box just following the instructions. After I get the basic exterior shown, I noticed that the color does not look good with my floors in my living room, which makes me question: why I even purchased this color anyway? Then that’s when I realized it’s not the right TV stand! I scroll back through my sales person and I text message and review the invoice. I compare the invoice to the SKU on the box, which shows that it matches. I scroll back up through our text messages some more to see the screenshot that my sales person sent me of the TV stand that I wanted, which was correct, so how do I have the wrong TV stand ordered?

Christopher saved the day!! I went into the store looking for a bedroom set and I didn’t feel I received good service from one of the sales people. Christopher was working with another customer but stopped to offer a sincere apology and assured me that he would make sure I’m satisfied and taken care of. We exchanged numbers and my fiancé and I came back into the store and we took up A LOT of his time. We changed our minds several times, until we felt comfortable with our decision so this was not an easy sell to say the least, but Christopher was present and patient with us the entire time!!! I kept coming across their proformance couch in stone. I decided to walk in on a day off and just take a look. Low and behold the couch I was looking at, was right there when I walked on display. I was greeted by Khadija, and I explained my circumstances and the reasons for the kind of couch I needed. She immediately put me at ease. She talked with me, got to know me and didn't just see me as a customer. She took me under her wing and explained everything. A few days later my boyfriend and I went back and ordered the couch from her. Let me say when I walked in she gave me a hug and was so excited to see me, that not only my boyfriend but the other associates thought we were long lost friends. Following the days after ordering the couch and ottoman, she stayed in contact and went ABOVE and beyond her job. Her manager did the same for us. 9/19 No response to the email we replied to yesterday & was told last night that a supervisor would get in contact with us today but have not gotten a call. We immediately filed a claim that the order was wrong upon delivery on 9/13 and going on a week with no resolution. 9/18 Just recently placed 3 orders with Ashley totaling over $10000. One order has been delivered thus far and was submitted incorrectly. We wanted the Rawcliffe w/Ottoman shown on the show room floor. However, what we received was not the the same pieces. We got a response today that they could not fix it because what we got what the same thing on the showroom floor. I am hoping they are not flat out lying about what’s on their showroom floor and they are just being misinformed in the customer care center of what’s on their showroom floor at this location. It is a 4 piece Rawcliffe w/ ottoman on the floor, and we got a 5 piece sectional, so not the same. So luckily we took pictures of the showroom floor pieces. I was told we would get a phone call on this issue but it was an email so I responded to the email and currently awaiting a response to see if this is going to be easily fixed by replacing it with the correct piece (which is very simple) or if we are cancelling the rest of our pending deliveries and not making anymore of our future purchases. So I am hoping this is made right by customer ‘care’ before I post my next update on here. One of our orders was already submitted incorrectly before as well resulting in us making 3 trips to resign as well.

The Ashley furniture store on Hull St Rd has a sales rep that everyone should ask for. Kenny Thompson. ..From the moment he introduced himself Kenny stood out as a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesman. He answered every question without hesitation and was never pushy or trying to impress. His knowledge of the manufacturing process of the furniture and how well they stood by the product was impressive. Time to buy furniture..seek out Kenny!

I’m updating my review of my purchase, based on my purchase experience with the delivery experience. -UPDATE- Delivery experience The bed was delivered and assembled. It was as a very snug fit (mattress touching) on the headboard and footboard. I just assumed it was because my mattress was very thick. Delivery team left. My suspicion continued so I measured the frame… It is a King size frame, we specifically, multiple times during checkout, when the order said “King”. To that Christopher stated “No problem, the frame is adjustable, they take care of it when they get there.” Now our split adjustable frame catches the against the padding of the headboard. I called the Ashley location on Hull St, and was given a customer service number that was no longer active. I called back and used the customer service option on the phone tree. Because of the hold time, I used the call back feature. When the call came in, I answered and was immediately put on hold, then disconnected. I have holding 10 mins now, so I decided to update this review, with then information I will communicate to customer service…. and the call disconnected again. -Purchase experience- “We worked with Christopher at the Hull St. location. He made the process smooth. It’s great to work with someone who listens to you instead of selling to you. After my wife and I went back and forth on our favorite bed frames, Chris closed us out in minutes. Thanks Christopher for your patience.”

UPDATE: 9/17/14 So unprofessional. I ordered a bed from the online store with a scheduled delivery date of 9/17/24 which is why I went into the store to get the mattress on 9/11/24. Khadija assured me that the mattress would be ready for pick up on 9/12/24. I called several times on 9/12/24 for an update, finally I was told, “sorry it won’t be in until next week. Our truck comes from the Fredericksburg warehouse on Tuesday 9/17 and your mattress will be in then.” Today it’s Tuesday 9/17/24, I’ve already taken my daughters old bed and mattress out of her room and put it in her little sisters room. And her new bed was delivered and set up. I called the store and the representative tells me “I’m sorry for the inconvenience but the mattress wasn’t on the truck today. I’ve put it on our MTO and it should be in next week” !!! I’m so upset. I explained to her again, why this is beyond more than a small inconvenience and she tells me “I’ll make a note and give it to my manager”. Ridiculous. I could have gone to Haynes , or a mattress store, ordered it off line or just had my husband pick it up in his truck from Fredericksburg as it’s not even that far away. And to think, I paid a delivery fee just to have them bring it from Fredericksburg to Richmond. Moral: I’ll continue to shop online. I’ve ordered many pieces of furniture from Ashley online and never had an issue. I’m highly disappointed in their In person customer service & definitely won’t do it again. Khadija was very warm and friendly as soon as I stepped into the store. I was able to get quickly tell Her what I wanted and she efficiently showed me items that fit my needs. I was able to schedule to get my items faster than I anticipated and was in and out in no time.

I purchase on July 6 a Maier charcoal left arm facing sleeper sectional with chaise, the sales person was Gregory Brown, my husband drove to the distribution center in Fredericksburg to pick up our furniture then back to our home we just purchase in lake Gaston NC, so once we open the furniture it was just a sofa not a sleeper, we had guess that had to sleep on the floor 😡. That same night we tested Greg to let him know he order the incorrect sofa. Monday morning we call the store Hull st spoke with Briana, i ask Briana if i could speak with her manager, Briana took my name and number and i never received a call back from store manager name Kim M. Briana call me back the next day as she had sent customer care explaining everything that had happened, kudos to Briana and Ashly in Cust Care. Here is August 1st we are back in Hull st store still trying to get everything straight. Kenny was able to order correct sleeper, now we have to wait another 7 days for Ashley company to make it! We had an awful 😢 experience!

I would be very careful that your item is ordered correctly and your salesperson knows what they are doing. I was told I would a recliner in 2-3 days as I was told it was in warehouse. This did not happen. I got a recliner after 5-6 phones calls to the store and with every call was told my order had not been put in and that they ( person on phone) would put in system. Well who ever "they" are this was not every done and finally called customer service on phone ( not part of store) and they said no recliners were in warehouse and I would get 1 on next shipment. About 3wks later I have a recliner. Do not waste your time with this store or the manager??? if there is one that doesn't seem to care about returning calls. Assure you actually have an order in place and then call customer service to assure it is in system correctly...don't' rely on what the store tells you.

BUYER BEWARE! This place is a total joke. They lure you in with attractive financing and the offer of an "extended warranty" then they don't deliver! They sent another manufacturer's adjustable frame in the box that was supposed to have the one I ordered/paid for. Said they didn't have any of the one I purchased in stock and it would be about a week till they could get it. Called on a Tuesday to check status and was told it was to arrive that Thursday. Called Thursday and was told it would be another week! No head's up, nothing but "I'm sorry". That doesn't cut it! I bought this because it was "in stock" for immediate delivery - they lied and now no one will take ownership of this issue. The customer service agent should be FIRED. She was extremely rude and snappish. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said "I'm sending you to the store" and dumped me on hold. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Meanwhile, I am sleeping on a hardwood floor because I already got rid of my old bed set to get ready for delivery of my new one! Do business with them at your own risk!!

We were scammed... and don't expect even halfway decent customer service after the sale... My wife and I bought a sectional a couple of years ago. The product itself is decently made for the price. Our sales person told us that we could pay extra for a warranty that covered any pet damage since we have a larger dog. Made sense to us, so we pulled the trigger! Flash forward to a couple of months ago when we moved into a new house. Our dog applied too much pressure to the back of the couch and caused damage that really could easily be sewn back together. Lucky for us we bought the 3rd party warranty! - Sarcasm... We followed the instructions and was told our warranty DOES NOT cover pet damage. We called Ashley and they told my wife, "Oh yeah, I wish you reached out to us first. We would have told you to not say it happened because of a pet. Resubmit the claim, but just lie and say it happened while moving." They flat out told us to lie. I guess ethics are no longer valuable in 2024, huh? Unfortunately, we are not able to resubmit any claims without them getting "flagged". Frustrated, we decided to just pay for the repair ourself. We called Ashley to see who they recommended and they gave us a number to call locally. We call this number and they said, "Let me guess, Ashley Furniture sent you to us? We've asked them MULTIPLE times to stop sending people our way because we don't repair furniture from other companies, only our own brand." Ashley Furniture, get you crap together.... We've spent multiple hours trying to resolve this. We've called the Warranty Company, The Franchise Group that owns this location, and even the Corp Offices in Florida. Does anyone know where we can buy furniture from an ethical company these days??

"Worth Finding!" Christopher Wallace was worth finding at the Hull Street Ashley store. I had worked with him previously to purchase some furniture from a different store. Great variety of furnishings, and I found the dining set I wanted at a competitive price. God did it!

I have been waiting for 2 months for my bed and keep getting the run around about when it will be delivered. The manager had no clue on how to solve the problem smh never again!! Came in looking for an ottoman. We had bought the original set here, trying to find one to match. Luckily did find, but not in stock. Betty helped to find it, and found that I had purchased warranty on my couch and love seat, cushion sinking. Only issue is that if you are on picking up at store, not warehouse, they charge you a $25 fee. Betty was nice enough to get that waived. Don't think a fee to have item at store for pick up should exist, but like i said, Betty held with that. So, overall great experience, found what I needed. Update. Item did not arrive on time. Told another week. Wife had knee surgery, so we needed it. Had to go somewhere else to get one to work. Talked to manager, no problem. Told the ladies at counter to cancel order and refund. 10 days later called customer care, said they saw me about refund. 18 days, now told it may be store credit, and not guarantee refund. Not what I was told by manager. Don't need credit, but buying from there anymore. The couch cushions crap after 6 months. Only went to try and match

Saw a bedroom set online & wanted to go inside the store to see in person since the store was fairly close to me. Once in the store the salesman gave me a price that was higher than the advertised price online. I found that strange as it was on the Ashley website. I had to pull it up on my phone & show him. He eventually went in the back room & returned to say they would honor the online lower price. WTH??While waiting around I found a beautiful mirror & told my salesman that I'd like to add this to my order. He then pulled it up on his iPad & showed me the online price on the Ashley website .. which was higher than the actual price tag ON the mirror. Not sure I'll be back to purchase from them, the whole two different prices thing seems so shady to me.

I have never been to a furniture store and not been greeted by someone. We walked around for 20 mins and couldn’t get any sales people to even make eye contact. We finally found someone we could ask for help before they ran off and she said she would send someone to us. No one ever came so we left. Guess my money wasn’t good enough for them. I was an easy sale. Already had my purchase picked out.

I was really surprised and pleased with my visit! My couch is old and beat up, and Ashley had lots of nice well made options. Caroline helped me out a ton, she was kind and understanding about my “limited budget” too (I’m kinda broke right now). The 1yr financing with no interest is a nice feature. There were definitely some couches that were too pricey for me, but I found three really nice ones that were affordable AND on sale. They also have some cool homegoods stuff like a big funky mirror that I could see in the Quirk hotel. The only thing I’d change is the wall art, some of the paintings are really cheesy. This store only has good reviews because they ask you to submit them in store before you leave store before furniture is delivered. Absolutely horrific experience! Khadija and the entire management team have done nothing but lie for 8 weeks. We have been promised delivery since March that was in the schedule for early April!! They have not communicated at all and if they we call them it's a diff story each time! I have been patient for 10 weeks and still no help from the store manager (after speaking with Chris the manager and not getting a call back). We have furnished 3 houses from Ashley but at a different branch and should have kept it that way. They say whatever they have to just do get people to buy and then everything changes. Myself and pregnant wife are very disappointed with the entire staff and our purchase. If you have to go to Ashley choose a diff location it's worth the drive!

If you shop at this store my advice to you would be to avoid the salesperson by the name of KHADIJA TOUMI. She will do anything to make the sale to include leaving out important information, miscalculating the price, and just flat out not being honest with you. Once the sale is done, if you have any questions or concerns and you reach out to her in a reasonable time frame she will say "let me see what I can do" then never get back to you.

My son and I had a wonderful experience at Ashley on Hull Street Road. We went in to browse around the inventory at the beginning of the week. Stephen Banks was our salesperson. He did not hard sell/pressure us to buy. Instead gave us breathing room to perused the showroom and was there when we needed him.
