Steve, the store manager was amazing! I was shopping for a new bedroom set and mattress. I came just in time for the discount and on top of that, the great customer service. He was patient and showed me all the bells/whistles. He was very thorough with everything. Even Tiara, was amazing. The nicest folks work at Ashley Furniture on Laburnum Avenue!

Well, I thought I was happy when I bought my bed and my moms couch from them. My bed arrived after the sales rep telling me that I could use the frame I bought and I had to buy additional box springs in order to make it work. (The one I got didn’t have the slats he told me it would have)They weren’t concerned about customer satisfaction. I had to spend an additional $150 to get the box springs even though prior to ordering bed frame I asked specifically if I needed anything else to make the mattress fit. I also had to move the huge purple mattress on to the bed after supposedly getting the delivery so that I wouldn’t have to lift all that. He was also wrong about the financing. Said I would have 5 years no interest and that was a lie. I’m getting interest every month. It’s a fixed interest plan. Fast forward 8 months, I go back to get a lift recliner for my dad whose health has severely declined suddenly and was told as long as I order that night it would be delivered on Thursday. (This was Tuesday) well that was another lie. Thursday my mom gets a text that the recliner will be delivered later that day, then gets a call to tell her she has to wait until Saturday. I get not having a guaranteed delivery time but when 3 people in the store including the manager said it would be Thursday I’m very disappointed. I contacted the sales woman and she tried to say that they said Saturday at any point during our purchase. That was an out right lie. I love Ashley furniture but will never return to this store. They clearly have zero concern for customer satisfaction or accuracy in the information they give. Zero concern to back up what they promise and clearly don’t train their team on the financing options or information about the furniture they sell. I have only ever been disappointed by this store so I have learned my lesson I will not return to this location they clearly are lacking. Not to mention when they delivered to my parents to set up their new bed frame they ordered, the delivery people told them they wouldn’t move their mattress onto the new frame. My parents are elderly and can’t lift memory foam mattresses! My dad can’t even stand without a walker at this point. They paid extra for the so called “white glove” delivery. What a joke!

Had an absolutely horrible experience. Walked in to buy a couch, found one that was fine to order and worked with the sales associate to order it (who seemed like he did not want to be there in the first place). Ordered the couch and waited a few weeks for it. Couch arrives and only 2 of the 3 pieces were there, and the sales associate had ordered the couch in the wrong orientation (l shaped couch on the wrong side). Sales team did virtually nothing to help me get this issue resolved, so I had to contact customer services through their corporate for about 4-5 weeks to get the right couch actually ordered. Finally got it ordered then they tried to charge for me getting the old couch removed and the new couch delivered! Absolutely horrific experience from start to finish and I’m only posting this review now because I finally have my new couch so they can’t mess it up anymore. Would highly recommend anyone go literally anywhere else to get their furniture in the future

Came to furniture shop last Saturday and left highly disappointed and empty handed. The selection on the floor is severely limited with little to no alternative colors or fabric choices. Also the sale associate I worked with was extremely pushy and would not let me and my husband talk or shop in peace. The experience was equivalent to a sleazy used car sales man. When I did find something I liked online it was out of stock with no label price or date as to when it could be ordered. I will not do business with establishment again in the future.

I then called upon my tribe to discuss said size of couches along with costs and at no point was she attempting to rush the process. After making my selections she was able to guide me through the process of applying for credit and purchasing my furniture. I was able to trust to her throughout this process and she made it very easy to complete the task of my purchase. She went out of her way to make sure I viewed at least 3 selections thoroughly despite my condition. A decision was made. She brought my back up front. We complete the paperwork with courtesy and care. I recommend Ashley's to others.

My order was botched by the delivery team. And with it being the 4th I was certain my back yard furniture would not be installed and ready in time for my family to enjoy. Though all the confusion and frustration, Bobbi stuck it out with me. Having to continuously apply pressure to the logistics team as well as the customer service personnel. Despite having purchased a protection plan, we were told this type of damage isn’t covered. Buyers, beware: Abinger products from ashley may not last more than a couple of years, and the protection plans are essentially a scam. Very disappointed with the quality and the lack of support

They sell poorly made furniture, they won't stand behind their product. Bought a sofa and a few months later the frame came apart. Instead of Ashley's fixing it, they made me go through my warranty. Technician came out and sure enough, it was broken from the beginning. The little staple holding the frame had shot out through the edge of the wood frame and was delivered to me. Since it was hidden behind a cushion, we never saw it. Ashley's will not help you if this happens, and they will say that it wasn't a manufacturing defect. And a second note, no one that works at Ashley's knows how to handle these issues, I called about 20 times and each time got different answers, such as that department isn't open until Tuesday, or call a certain number, or something else...what a mess! Don't buy from these guys, they dont stand behind their product!

From entering the store, Zyshun was courteous, informative, and not overbearing. When needed he was in sight, expedient and knowledgeable of all the products we were seeking. He offered diff colors, cleaning fabrics, asked questions about our home space and offered suggestions. He took his time and was very patient with us as we made a decision. We did purchase and feel confident in it and the delivery process.

Andre provided Excellent Customer Service! My wife and I arrived at the store 15 minutes before the store closed in search of an electric fireplace with an insert. Andre asked his coworkers to help him search the store and within a couple of minutes located the last one on the showroom floor. He recommended that we inspect it to ensure that there was no damage and upon doing so and finding it in good condition, we proceeded to write up the sales order. He recommended that we order a new/replacement insert to ensure that it was in working condition. He was prompt in writing everything up and communicating with his manager in processing the sales order. He then coordinated a good pickup time and provided his telephone number so that we could call him to confirm when the insert arrived at the store, so that we would be able to pick everything up at one time and save the delivery fee. I gave a three-star rating only because I feel like Ashley Furniture could do a better job getting furniture out to its customers quicker. In most stores, even mom and pop furniture stores Ashley is one of the most popular furnitures sold. It's almost like we don't have a choice. I have no complaints about the furniture itself. I've been very satisfied with everything I've ever gotten from them. But they have a very bad habit of making you think your furniture will be delivered within a couple of weeks and sometimes it's more than a month later when it finally arrives. This has happened to me every single time I have ordered furniture. As large of a dealer that they are it seems like they could do a better job with customer service.

We ordered a sofa with the chaise on the opposite side of the showroom sofa and were very clear. The salesperson ordered the exact showroom configuration instead and Ashley Furniture has been less than forthcoming on fixing it. The salesperson is no longer there. I keep getting emails over and over about submitting photos which I did immediately the first time. I feel like by sending emails labeled in all caps 2ND PHOTO REQUEST, they are making me out like I'm not cooperating. I've sent the photos AGAIN with the explanation. I'm not sure what I have to do to fix this. We are not using the sofa as we have not moved into the home yet and would gladly let them come pick it up.

I went to Ashley Furniture on Laburnum with my Mom to look at reclining chairs with automatic lift ability. Our salesman was new however, very helpful and friendly without being pushy. My Mom was prepared to purchase the recliner however the delivery charge was well over $200. We stated we’d rather pick it up ourselves and asked how long it would be before it would arrive at the Laburnum store. After checking with another salesperson he returned and told us that anything over 50 lbs does not get shipped to the store…we would have to drive to Fredericksburg to pick up our order! Despite our great salesman, he did not make the sale due to the company’s poor delivery options. Ashley Furniture does not provide a reasonable alternative for the consumer to get the furniture to their home unless the purchaser is willing to pay a high delivery fee or make the drive to Fredericksburg (neither of which is reasonable). Coincidentally, we found the same chair on Amazon for nearly $200 less and we have Prime…so free delivery. Do your homework folks…don’t be taken advantage of by greedy corporations.

Ingrid at the Laburnum store in Richmond, VA was very conscientious and helpful in assisting me with the purchase of a sofa and love seat. She is very good at communication and has a pleasing, outgoing personality. She made the experience a pleasure!!

Andre was super helpful and very patient with me when making my decisions. He actually spoke the manager. Stella, to try and get free delivery for a loyal customer who was going to spend over 3k, but she was only willing to reduce the delivery fee by $100. IF I decide to go back, I will make sure I buy from Andre because of his professionalism, and patience.
