This store has been the single worst shopping experience I have ever had and I strongly recommend avoiding it. From the very beginning, the process was filled with mistakes, poor communication, and an alarming lack of customer service. The originally delivered furniture from the first attempted delivery was not only the wrong order, but also arrived damaged. The couch had a noticeable hole in the fabric, the dining table was completely wrong, and the dining table chairs were loose, unstable, and wobbly. To make matters worse, when we tried to point this out, the store acted as if we were the ones who had placed the wrong item order instead of the salesperson, refusing to accept responsibility for their error. Because of the damages and wrong items with the first order, we refused the delivery. Unfortunately, that was only the start of the frustration. We tried to call the store multiple times to address the issue, but they simply would not answer the phone. We were forced to drive back in person with two toddlers, wasting our own time and energy just to get someone to talk to us. When we finally spoke with staff at the store, we were told they would not refund the delivery fees even though the delivery was a complete failure. Instead, the best solution they offered was to redeliver new items. We also requested that the warranty be canceled, and a staff member named Abdullah assured us that he would handle the cancellation. However, five days later, the warranty was still not canceled. I called the store again to follow up and was told flatly that the cancellation could no longer be processed because more than 24 hours had passed since the purchase. This explanation made no sense at all, especially considering the fact that we had not even received the furniture due to the refusal of the damaged delivery. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to correct their mistakes is unacceptable. And after redelivery of a new order, another item was damaged. So they now have to reschedule a third delivery to replace the damaged items from the second delivery. The delivery teams also left big messes of broken styrofoam pieces and loose screws all over our new carpet and didn’t clean up. Leaving tags and trash laying all over the living room and dining room floors, and trash in our driveway from the delivery. They also left straps, broken wooden pieces, and long dangerous staples sticking out still attached under the dining table chairs and table; even after we paid for the full service “white glove” assembly and delivery!!! (see pictures of what I had to pull off myself after they left). VERY dangerous for our toddlers. The problems with this store go far beyond just the damaged items. It is very poorly managed, and despite being overstaffed, there is little evidence of actual work being done. During our first visit, one employee was literally asleep in a chair in the middle of the showroom entrance with his mouth wide open in the middle of the day. When we went back to the store to try to resolve the issues with our order in person, the front desk staff was not only unhelpful but also outright rude. They showed no sense of basic courtesy or professionalism. Rather than standing up, engaging with us directly, and trying to fix the situation, they just sat at their desks in a daze as if they were on vacation. This was not a one time issue but a complete pattern of neglect and incompetence. From the delivery staff to the in store employees to the way the management handles problems, everything about this store communicates that they do not value their customers. Their attitude is dismissive, their service is unprofessional, and their follow through is non existent. Overall, this has been the worst experience I have ever had with any store, furniture or otherwise. It has been stressful, disappointing, and an absolute waste of both money and time. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to anyone. If you are considering purchasing from them, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I had one of the worst experiences at the Ashley store in Sterling. The salesperson told me not to worry about the delivery fee and made it sound like it would be a small, reasonable charge. I trusted them and didn’t double-check the paperwork at the time. A few days later, when I looked at my invoice, I was shocked to see that I had been charged $229 just to deliver a mattress that cost $899—a delivery that took less than 15 minutes! On top of that, they even charged $109 for a mattress cover. This feels completely misleading and unfair. I trusted the salesperson’s words, but what I got was an outrageous fee that was never explained properly. Any deal is built on trust, and they broke that completely. I will never purchase from this store again and would strongly caution others to review their invoices carefully before trusting what the staff tells you.

We stopped by Ashley to buy a new couch for our new apartment and Tony was unbelievably helpful. He gave us the time to look around, was helpful answering questions, and went out of his way to build a solution for our living space. Best furniture buying experience I’ve ever had.

This store delivered the wrong pieces and damaged furniture, including a couch with a hole in the fabric and chairs that were wobbly and loose. We refused the delivery due to the damage and had to return to the store to resolve the issue in person, only to be told they would not even refund the delivery fees. The best they offered was to redeliver the items and cancel the warranty, but to cancel the warranty we were told to call back next week when they are less busy since they have to go through a third party. The store also appears poorly managed and overstaffed, with several employees doing little to nothing. During our original visit, one employee was literally falling asleep in a chair with his mouth open, while another young staff member with glasses wandered around staring at his phone and repeatedly disappeared into the bathroom. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was rude and lacked basic courtesy acting like we were wasting their time when they had almost zero other customers inside. I’ll be writing directly to their corporate office about my family’s experience and the disrespect from their staff.

Buyer beware!! Read the other reviews about being “cheated” and no refunds even for defective items . I’m out of *** nearly $3,500 in furniture *** as I write this and they say I cannot be refunded to form of payment within 30 days of purchase — even when items haven’t been delivered or were delivered broken. First they were pushy with sales (read other reviews) and now that I changed my mind after being delivered broken / defective items — well within 30 days of purchase— they say any return is only for store credit. For over $2000 in merchandise yet to be delivered, they say I cannot get a refund except for store credit on their poor quality furniture . For a delivered item, a $1500 couch I changed my mind on within 3 days of delivery due to poor quality and bad fit, they informed me the restocking fee would be “up to 30%” of the cost. Refund after this customer-gouging fee is also only for store credit. Outrageous. Furniture is overall poor quality. Drawers that are barely joined together and cheap , thin wood construction on sofa foundations. One of my delivered items, a lamp, was broken — they said I could not return this either. I’m still trying to get assurance of a refund, which has been going on for days. My advice: Avoid this store. Avoid their furniture. I have shopped at Belfort , Macy’s, Pottery Barn and others — my experience has been much better there .

I worked with Muhammad, and he was wonderful! He greeted me when I came into the store and helped me throughout the buying process. He was very patient and listened to my needs. Ashley had a wide selection of furniture at decent prices. I purchased furniture for my bedroom and living room and financing was easy. They were running a great promotion. Delivery services could have been better with better communication, but I won’t let that overshadow my in-store experience. Even when delivery messed up, Muhammad helped fix the problem. I would shop at Ashley again.

Ward greeted us as we walked in, introduced himself and asked our names - a competent, knowledgeable, and professional young man. He showed us available sofa sleepers as well as a demo of how they work. Smooth process from purchase to the quick and efficient work of the three delivery gentlemen.
