Mohammad was very patient and helpful. Most furniture stores feel very sales driven. I spent over an hour going back and forth over the configurations for a modular couch and he waked me through everything. Highly recommend!

Refused to sell us four counter height chairs for a total of about $240 unless we spent $1000 on a mattress. Salesman said that shipping on the chairs would be $99 unless we picked them up from their warehouse in Fredericksburg. We were willing to wait for the chairs to be delivered to the store and pick them up there. Still refused to sell. Will never visit this store or order from them again. Not sure what it was about us that warranted this treatment. Fifteen minutes later we got a fantastic deal on a sectional at a much higher end furniture store. Would have gladly given Ashley that money for a sectional we saw there that we liked had we been treated better. They have lost us as customers forever. I

Bad experience after sales.Though protection plan has the policy to cancel for any reason within first 30 days of purchase, store manager didn’t want to help regarding the cancellation.Seems they don’t care after the sales is done .Really? All though store got decent rating , I would strongly suggest all to read lowest reviews too .I had to call the store multiple times regarding delivery and my last item is yet to be delivered. Worst of all store Manager at the store possess rude customer service. Wish I could rate minus ZERO.

I bought a bed with mattress. I was sent wrong bed two times and they made me buy box spring which i was not needed. I came to store and talked to the sales associate who sold me the bed accepted that the bed I received is not the right one. I talked to the manager shiry regarding this. She does not want to exchange the bed even though she acknowledged that I received the worng bed. She was so rude and unhelpful. She doesn’t want me to help at all. I never experienced such a horrible customer service before. Stay away from this store. Make sure your order before paying. I am never going back to Ashley again in my life. I was going to buy the furniture for my entire new house but now i will never buy. The store employees were apologetic to me but the store manager shirry was the worst. She just doesn’t want me to help at all.

We bought a bed from them a week ago, their sales person eneterd the wrong item number (even i told him to make sure while entering). I ordered with 2 storage drawers but they delivered a plain one. Now they are not taking this case serious and not helping us at all. Their customer service is really pathetic. And the manager there SHIRY was too rude and she was not helping us. Never ever gonna buy anything from them in future. I wanted to buy whole furniture for my new house. But now i will never going back there. Pathetic service.

If I can give them ZERO I will, worst after sale customer service, their sales people needs more traning “too pushy” , delivered 4 items one item damaged they replace it and also delivered it scratched second time, the couch delivered with 3 major scratches. Their warehouse house team beyond rude like the want to cover their mistakes by raising their voice, knowing if they received the same items for them self the way I received them they will ask to exchange it or return it. I love Ashly furniture but if they keep their system the same way they will sooner or later loses their business.

I order furniture in Ashley Sterling on 03/24/24 for my home it was big order. The store manager told me everything is available and will be ready to delivery on Saturday. Half of the furniture was delivered, but the two sets of coffee table was not there, when called back the customer care told will be delivered on Tuesday of the same week, now I am here again for another follow up. They says the coffee table was damaged not delivered but they should at least inform me again because of delay. Please if the store do business in this way, it might not be a good place to purchase here. I would never buy any furniture from Ashley. I paid all in once in the beginning but this happened to me and could happen to you. Please don’t buy here not a good place for your furniture buy. Thanks

This location has terrible customer service. The associate that “helped” us was barely helpful. They promised delivery for one date and did not bother to call and notify us of delay till 3 weeks later. We kept having to call to get statuses and arrange delivery. Their customer service department is the worst. They don’t answer their phones. We finally got the furniture and we are not impressed with the end result. It looks and feels really cheap. It even sure it’s the same quality as what they displayed in the store.

although the service in the store was great when we first placed our order, it took us almost 4 months to receive our couch. We were not given a reason as to why it was delayed, and it was very frustrating process. Not until I went into the store myself to complain, after months of no communication, was I given a reason for the delay. It was just difficult not having a couch for close to four months. Finally got the couch, it was in excellent condition and they were able to set it up quickly. The waiting process was just Unbearable and I believe could have been handled much better. Not sure I will patronize them again.

Hey guys, heads up about our experience with Ashley Homestore, Sterling VA. So, we went there on December 24th to check out some sofas. The sales rep told us we could put down a $100 deposit on any furniture, and if we changed our minds, we'd get it back as store credit since they don't do refunds. Even the manager confirmed this policy. They stressed that the no-refund thing only applied to the deposit, not the full price. So, we decided to order a sofa set, and they threw in a free King size pillow. Two weeks later, we called to cancel the order (since they hadn't shipped it yet), but they said we couldn't cancel and we'd get hit with a 30% fee. They even said that Ashley Homestore runs differently from Ashley Furniture, which was news to us. So, we went back to the store, and the sales rep acted like they never mentioned the policy, and the manager claimed she never spoke to us. Eventually, they said they'd try to get the corporate office to cancel the order. The corporate office did cancel it, but they still charged us $150 for that pillow we never even wanted and couldn't return. Basically, the sales rep and manager were pretty shady just to make a sale. We're definitely not going back to Ashley Homestore or Ashley Furniture after this mess. Names involved: Sales rep - Travis, Store Manager - Shirley. Just wanted to share our experience so others know what they might be getting into.

Horrendous experience! We ordered a dining table set, couch and chairs from the store in Sterling in November. They said the delivery will take 3-6 weeks and not a peep after 6 weeks, we had to call to remind them and ask where our stuff was- after several run arounds and calling multiple times, they finally said they will ship the dining set in mid Jan, with the couch expected a week after! The dining set came with a broken chair!! The couch mia!! We again called them and asked to cancel the order, they said it will be here in the next 2-3 weeks, we wait till late Jan, nothing, we call again and they say Feb 6.. no surprise- nothing here! We called again and a really rude Customer service lady by name Rosa is telling us their terms and conditions doesn’t allow us to cancel and refund, only to come back into the store to order a replacement! Why the heck will I order a replacement with these frauds to wait another 4 months! After repeatedly reminding them of how they promised to deliver stuff, she throws back in our face that the delivery dates are just estimates and they are cannot be held responsible for exact dates!! Wow in todays world of top notch online order status tracking, great customer service and friendly return services, these dinasours still rip customers off and refuse to refund our money even after 3 full months of non delivery while being rude to us justifying why they’re not at fault. We asked to speak to her manager and she says, manager is busy and don’t expect her to call us back soon!! Just wow!! Horrible store, won’t ever go here and neither should you trust your money with them!

Horrible experience with Ashley Store and Customer care. Beware of Protection plan scam and do not fall into the sales man tricks. They sell furniture and protection plan associated with the third party company called Montage and they do not care after the sale is done. I have purchased a Fabric Sectional Sofa set along with Ottoman and the Ottoman started tearing off at the stitches. However, the protection plan company denies the claim though the Protection plan agreement states that the punctures, rips and burns are covered. Now, its the customer head ache on how to handle this situation and Ashley will still continue to sell the protection plan. I am not going to buy another piece of furniture at Ashley.

I called to inform if they had a specific sectional on the floor. They said it was but in the store it turned out it wasn't. I wanted to do some specific measurements, but couldn't do so. The salesperson gave me incorrect numbers and the numbers I wanted weren't available. In the end I could measure a similar sectional and decided to order the one on the website in the store. This took quite long and was a back and forth of (incorrect) prices. In the end I got a slightly better price than I would have online, so that was good.

My wife and I purchased a dual reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture Store at the Sterling VA location. We purchased the sofa in mid-November, and it was delivered to us prior to Thanksgiving. One week later the control panel for the sofa button was stuck in the on position and would not release. We unplugged the sofa so as not to burn out the motor. We contacted customer service; they asked us for a picture and an explanation, and we provided as they asked. Customer service said they would order the new part and as soon as it arrives contact them so they can schedule a technician to replace the part. After 5 weeks and no part arrived, we called customer service several times with no status and finally they advised us that the part was coming from China and it would take 2 more weeks. The part arrived and we contacted customer service, and they said a technician would be in touch in 48 hours to schedule a time to come out. After a few days I called again because no technician reached out. Customer service said they have the work order in and that we would be contacted. Now we are at 5 weeks for the part and another 2 weeks waiting for the technician. It is just before Christmas, and I received an email from the technician to schedule a date for them to come out. The two dates I was given were February 15th or 16th. Now we have to wait 2 more months before our unusable sofa will be fixed. Again, we were only able to use it for 1 week. I called customer service several times, as now I wanted them to remove the couch and be refunded my money (approximately $3000.00). Customer service said all they can do is place the work order in. I told them that I will go to the store I bought the sofa from. The person at customer service said, “They won’t be able to help you”. SO, I went anyways and this was the last week in December. I spoke with the manager at the store and explained my situation as we were now approaching 8 weeks without a workable sofa. This was after another customer was complaining about dirty furniture being delivered to their house. The customer service liaison was also at the store, and she advised the manager to email their corporate office with the explanation and to indicate I wanted a full refund for the sofa because I was going to eventually have an unusable sofa for 3 months. They let me know that they should have a response very soon and I can wait or if I have something to do and then come back to the store and discuss the response. I have now waited 10 days and no response. I have messaged the store manager wanting an update, the first time he indicated he hasn’t heard anything back, the second message I have not received a response from the manager and now it’s three days waiting and now writing this review. I am now 10 weeks without a workable sofa. No communication from Ashley furniture corporate nor the store in Sterling VA. This is the most unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced. To spend approximately $3000 on a sofa that broke 1 week later. I would advise never to take your business to Ashley Furniture. Their customer service lines have call center individuals that don’t help, managers that don’t follow through, customer liaison that don’t follow through and a corporate office that has failed also. Of course, I will continue to get this resolved, however, I needed to take this step to maybe open the eyes of the corporate office on how their company is failing.

Ahmad met me at the door and took me right to what I wanted to see - very friendly and knowledgeable. He did not pressure me at all but did show me alternatives which helped me with my decision. Higjly recommend the Ashley Furniture experience and maybe you will get the Ahmad experience too!

We were informed at this store that our products would be delivered in two weeks. After those two weeks, they said that it would be six weeks. When I started reading reviews, I discovered that other people had the same experience. It is obvious that the 5-star reviews for this store are false.

Initial experience:"Shamila did a good job taking care of us and price match our furniture." Now: Do not buy from Ashley, their customer service sucks, and their products suck even more. Initially, they said they were the sofa manufacturer and everything was vigorously tested. They said it was built to perfection, but when I received the items they were full of defects. After it was delivered, about an hour later, I found out it was full of defects (cut in the fabric, uneven stitch, wrinkle in the stitch and fabric, folded foam, dent on fabric and foam, scratch on fabric.). I went to the store about the defect, they cleaned their hand by saying it got delivered so they could not do anything and gave me the corporate number. I talked to the corporate people and they want more and more pictures eventually they are satisfied and they want to want to replace one of the sofas out of three even though all of them have defects.

Mohamed was a great help he took his time and walked us through everything we were interested in. There was very little sales pressure. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Awful experience. I was sure to order beds that were in stock and ready to deliver within 2 weeks. So I placed the order with help from sales and management at the location. Soon after Ashley told me the beds would not be delivered until January. However today the mattresses I ordered came (I had to call and beg them to at least deliver the mattresses as we just moved and have no beds), the queen mattress delivered was 4” shorter than a standard queen mattress (standard size iis 60x80, this was measure 60x76) and so I had to refuse the delivery (huge gap between mattress and head/footboard). The delivery people called customer support, but they would not help me whatsoever, said I would not receive a refund because all sales are final. They also told me Ashley’s standard for queen size mattress is 59x79 (what a joke). They said the only option I had was to call the store, which is useless because I have been calling them for 2 weeks, ever since I found out the beds would not be arriving on the date they assured me when I placed the order. Today, I have tried to call the store about 20 times and no one answers. I am deeply disappointed with my purchase and the major lack of Customer support; it’s simply nonexistent. Please DO NOT order from Ashley- This is my 3rd purchase and to be honest we have had big issues every time. Plus the quality is wretched. I have finally learned my lesson, and will never place another order with them again.

EDITED 1/29/24 Don't give this store your money. They will take it and not deliver. While Shamila was helpful (as I originally mentioned in my review), purchasing from this store has been the worst customer experience I've ever had. We ordered a bed at the end of Nov. and were given a 4-6 week timeframe. That has now been delayed for the third time to March 11th. When we were finally fed up with the waiting and asked for a refund for the bed (we can't keep sleeping on a mattress on the floor), we were told we could only get store credit. What kind of business thinks it's okay to fail their customers and still keep their money? This store is a joke. No hyperbole. A complete joke. Go online instead and buy from any other place (Wayfair, Amazon, etc) and you will not only get prompt service but if there's a problem you will get actual customer service. -------- original review below --------- Shamila was extremely helpful and very friendly. I bought some living room furniture from the Sterling store. The day after it was delivered the loveseat cracked when someone sat in it. I called to have it repaired and they asked me to take pictures of the damage. I said that I would have to take apart the loveseat to find the issue and that a service tech should be doing that. They insisted that I take these picture and when I protested that I would not be tearing apart the furniture, they hung up on me. Just the most ridiculous request and the customer service agent was just rude. Be warned, I purchase the warranty on these pieces of furniture and it appears that they will not honor it. Bottom line, cheap furniture and bad customer service. I will be avoiding them going forward.

We recently visited Ashley Dulles Eastern Plaza Sterling VA store with our infant to explore furniture options. We were assisted by a salesperson named Sara, who spoke English and mentioned she was from Baghdad. After reviewing several items, we found that they were beyond our budget and politely informed Sara of our decision to consider our options before making a purchase. Unfortunately, Sara’s response was extremely unprofessional and concerning. She followed us out of the store, all the way to the parking lot, aggressively questioning why we hadn’t made a purchase and accusing us of wasting her time. This confrontation escalated quickly, with Sara harassing my husband who was holding our baby. We felt compelled to warn her that we would call the police if she continued her aggressive behavior, at which point she hurriedly left the scene. This incident was deeply unsettling and marred our shopping experience, making it one of the worst we’ve ever had in this store.

When I bought furniture for my mom’s house 2 years ago, the lady who is working there (Sarah) forced me to buy insurance for those furniture. I told her I don’t have good experience with Ashley’s Protection plan last time (Fairfax store) she said this is different and this covers everything, even if they can not fix the issues they will give you a new one!!!!!!! And repeated that few times and convinced me to pay $400 for insurance ☹️which was waste of money. Today I went to the store and talked with the manager and asked her why you guys give wrong information to people, she said I am so sorry and was trying to convince the customer on the phone to buy insurance for the mattress!!!!!!!!! Please, don’t trust them and don’t waste your money for protection plan. This was my second bad experience with same Company. I paid %10 of my purchases for protection plan

🚨 *Ashley Furniture Fiasco: A Frustrated Customer's Experience* 🚨 Hi everyone, I want to share our frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture. Here's what we've been dealing with: **Order and Delivery Issues:** - Ordered on Black Friday at the Sterling, Virginia location with the promise of flexible delivery options. - Delivery was supposed to be on Saturday, January 6th. - On January 5th, we found out deliveries are only available on two Thursdays each month. We said we were only free after 5 pm on Thursdays because we both have jobs. - Confirmed delivery for January 10th via text, but it was canceled due to their Thursday-only rule. - Tried to schedule for Friday despite this. I got an email mid-call scheduling delivery for January 11th between 8-11 am, which I never confirmed. - Called customer support, which scheduled a timeframe we couldn't do. - Directed us to call the store instead of rescheduling. Another representative tried to help, but nothing changed. - Delivery was canceled, and we got a new date of January 25th. - Another conflicting delivery confirmation for January 17th needed another call to fix. - Finally, January 25th delivery required us to take a day off work. **Product Issues and Follow-Up:** - The couch broke around March 20th due to missing nuts and no Quality Control. - Customer service was closed over Easter when we first contacted them. - Sent photos on April 9th and followed up on April 10th. No progress by April 12th. - Called on April 25th, part ordered. - May 10th: Called for an update, no ETA. Told to contact the store for a refund. - May 21st: Contacted the store, who promised to notify management for a refund request and call us on the 22nd with a manager. - May 22nd: Reached out again, promised a callback. No call, so we called back and were told a manager would call us the next morning. - May 24th: Called again at 10:31 am, but no manager was available. Despite all our efforts, there's been a severe lack of communication and extremely slow responses. We've called and been called by Ashley over 15 times. We've lost faith in the Ashley Organization and don't believe these issues will be resolved given their consistent mistakes and the inflexible 7 am to 5 pm pickup and delivery windows. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and we are urging others to think twice before dealing with Ashley Furniture.

Waited for a sales person (Ali) for 15 minutes while he went to go look for “an iPad”. Found him helping other customers. Exact same sofa found on amazon for $50 less WITH free delivery. Test out furniture here. Don’t buy from this location.

We were helped by Ahmad for our previous and current purchases and I really appreciate his through details and guidance throughout our experience. Highly appreciate his support to help customers. Such good experience is important to keep us coming back.

Travis and Shiry (hope I spelled that correctly) were amazing, especially working with our children, who were running around hyped up on sugar! Travis remained committed to us from the time we walked in the door and found us a great deal on several pieces of furniture. Shiry knew just how to keep the children happy and calm so that us adults could make some decisions. Overall it was a pleasant experience and the furniture pieces are in stock, so we don't have to wait 3 months for delivery.

Update 6/25/2024: This offer to help is bogus. I went to the store in person over two weeks ago and was told by the manager (who called the VP/someone higher up) that even though they admit we were misled, they won’t do anything. I was supposed to get a call from corporate once the managers were in- also over two weeks ago- and never did. The reply below is hollow. Also, when we bought the couch we were pressured into leaving a 5 star review as the salesperson with the most would be a bonus or something. So I have to question how many were obtained the same way. Original Review: We were lied to about what the 5 year warranty we purchased with our sofa covered last November. It is a massive difference- we were told it was unlimited steam cleaning, they would restuff the cushions and all we needed to do was call to schedule the appointments. The truth is pathetically different: only spot cleaning IF you get a claim approved. I contacted the store to give them a chance to make it right. The store manager called and confirmed their error- Sarah was “confused” (manager’s word) when explaining the warranty to us and had been retrained. However, she would only give us a $200 store card that you have to spend $1,000 to use and even this she said was ‘difficult to do’, she gave me the number for corporate and advised I call them and ask to speak to a manager there. She said she already emailed them about the situation. I asked if she included that Sarah was “confused” and we paid for something we didn’t get- she said yes. I called corporate and am waiting on a manager to call me Monday, but they said the STORE MANAGER’s are the only ones that can issue refunds so they were confused. This is all so wrong and unacceptable. Will update again once there is progress as we are not going to stop fighting this until we are refunded for this fraudulent charge. Please google “Ashley’s furniture not honoring warranty” and you will find tons of information about situations like this where customers are lied to and are struggling to get it made right.
