Recently bought a new living room set and was satisfied with the service that Milan's offered us to help us make a decision.

Ashley store in Sterling, VA. Monica, she was very much nice to help friendly to our Sofa set. I recommend her 100% for sale service.

TL:DR: Paid $1500 for a mattress that should have shown up 4 months ago, and almost never hear from them about it. Do not shop here Sept 2nd. 2024 I purchased an Ashley Brand hybrid mattress from the Ashley’s Furniture located at 45633 Dulles Eastern Plaza #134, Sterling, VA 20166. We signed an agreement that the mattress would be manufactured and delivered in 4-7 weeks. We are charged through credit card before leaving the store, and the $1500 clear before the end of the next business day. We were notified days before the 6 week mark the mattress was shipping but would be delayed an additional week because it failed an inspection and that we would be contacted with updates. The 8th week arrives (now Oct. 15th), and we get no form of communication, so I initiate a call asking for an update. I’m told that the mattress is delayed further and I can expect a call later that day from the store manager. After a day without a call, I called back again (Oct. 17, 2024) asking for a manager and an update. After speaking with the manager, we are promised direct communication from him as well as the salesman who we originally purchased with. We were also promised that the mattress would be arriving Nov. 1, 2024 and that we would be notified if anything changed. Nov. 2nd 2024 comes and not only have we not heard back in term of a delivery date, I called the store only to find out that there was another “delay” (which the customer service rep could not define explicitly why) and that the newly updated date is Nov. 20, 2024. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since it seems that they were going to continue to push back the delievery indefinitely without offering a refund or at minimum taking the initiative to CALL ME with updates. Since then, they have been only slightly more consistent with calling with updates. Now, I just received another call saying that the mattress will not be ready for inspection on the Nov 20th 2024 date provided, but instead will be arriving at their store Nov 29th, with the earliest arrival date at my home during the "First Week of December). I now have no faith, since it’s approaching 4 months, that the mattress will arrive giving that we have paid $1500 and receive no updates about our mattress despite already paying for it. As an apology for the inconvienience they have offered a pillow and $25 off my "next purchase". It feels as if we have been scammed out of our money and they will continue to push the date back until we are unable to receive the mattress or our money back. I wouldn't recommending spending any amount of money in this store. The poor customer service after purchase, the lack of communication, and inability to keep their word has guaranteed that I will not be purchasing anything from this store again unfortunately.

Sayed was fantastic. He made suggestions that were perfect for us. He even moved furniture around the showroom so we could see if we liked our options together before we made a final decision! Fast delivery, excellent customer service! I highly recommend.

Be aware, they would tell you to buy and it will fit well, but if you want to cancel you can’t cancel , it only goes to store credits. So once they take your money , you will never see it again if you change your mind. Very inconvenient. You also will be assured that if you need to return it because it doesn’t work in your home, you will be able to with no problems. Be aware you can’t get a refund !!!!

Pathetic Experience and worst Customer Service

I love the furniture from this store but I’m disappointed with the delivery timeline they provide. It’s been 3 months and I haven’t receive my dining table. Delivery time it’s 4-7 weeks and the sales person Syed promised us that it will be delivered less than that time. They keep calling me with excuses about some of my order is damage, and finally they schedules a delivery, but they never showed up. I keep calling the store and they never answered.

Abdullah was very helpful and not overbearing at all. He addressed our questions and needs when we asked and left us to ourselves afterwards. This was perfect for us. We didn't feel rushed or anything at all.

Sayed and Shiry made the experience easy and pleasant. Shiry specifically is an excellent saleswoman - one of the best we’ve encountered of the 6 furniture stores we’ve visited this weekend. She didn’t push anything on us; it felt like we sold ourselves on the mattress she helped us find. Ashley Store Corporate - if you’re reading this - you need to seriously consider elevating her to a regional manager and/or traveling training manager - her demeanor, knowledge, and charm were low effort and genuine. I can confidently say we wouldn’t have purchased the mattress if she hadn’t talked us through the options.

My fiance and I went to look for furniture for our new apartment and Mohammed helped us get all the new furniture we need for our new home for ourselves and our kids! It was easy and a great experience. Really nice store with great furniture and great staff.

The showroom is beautiful and has a large variety of furniture. We worked with Monica who was so lovely and helpful. She moved furniture, ran cost and delivery estimates on several pieces until we finally decided. She very patient and pleasant to work with.

I had full intentions on buying a whole living room worth of furniture but the salespeople stalk you like vultures. Can’t even discuss with your spouse the options you’re looking for without being interrupted by someone trying to upsale you. It’s an uncomfortable experience.

This is an edited review as my first one had four star and now it’s two! I went to the store to be greeted by an associate named Sarah. She seemed over friendly and was keen to know if I was there to check something specific so that she could provide us directions! I mentioned what I was looking for and added that we would like to checkout some items but do not need any help. She did not seem to be convinced and inquired about my name which was annoying but I did share it with her anyway! So while we as a family were checking out some stuff she very conveniently steps in again and starts talking. We shared again that we were looking to add a loveseat to the sofa we currently have that was bought back in 2019 and she started to play her tactics saying she could look for it in the inventory for availability and insisted on sharing our number which we eventually did. Upon coming back home we texted her the model number and no response from her! I am wondering what motive do these associates fulfill by being over friendly and taking details and not responding while sounding over promising during personal interactions! 💁 The rating is because of my personal experience at the store however, I love their furniture and variety they have to offer.

My experience with this Ashley furniture store started off with a friendly greeting and hello. That was the end for customer service. I was approached by Sarah and told her I wanted to look around for a dining room table. Upon coming across another piece of furniture. First, I was told by the desk associate wait on Sarah she will know? I waited a few minutes as Sarah was on the phone. I then asked her about a piece of wall furniture in the back of the store. She asked me to bring it to the front or show her the item description. Definitely wasn't interested in assisting me. When I walked to the back the furniture didn't even have a sales tag. As Sarah had made the comment to me, "Everything is on sale." At that point I decided my $5K budget good be used where customer service wasn't determined by your skin color. It was clear they weren't comfortable with my shade. As I walked back to the front of the store, I saw Sarah talking with another customer. What a disappointing experience.

Went shopping for a new couch after a stressful move. Ali made the process very easy!

I order furniture in Ashley Sterling on 08/04/24 for my home. The store manager told me everything is available in the inventory and will be ready to delivery on Wednesday(08/14/2024). When I called the customer care to check the delivery status on Wednesday(08/14/2024) they says purchased items are not availabe in the inventory and they also don't know when it be available. Please if the store do business in this way, it might not be a good place to purchase here. I would never buy any furniture from Ashley. I paid all in once in the beginning but this happened to me and could happen to you. Please don’t buy here not a good place for your furniture buy. Thanks

This store has absolutely the BEST customer service that a person lookng for new home decor could ask for. I was immediately greeted by my sale associate, Deontae, upon entering the establishment. He and his extremely professional general sales manager, Shiry, took an enormous amount of time assisting me with picking out the perfect ensemble to furnish my home. The stellar office manager, Rosa, was extremely detailed oriented when explaining all charges and financing. My entire experience was pleasant with no sales pressure or overselling. I highly recommend Ashley's furniture to anyone looking for professionalism and quality service.

Mohammad was very patient and helpful. Most furniture stores feel very sales driven. I spent over an hour going back and forth over the configurations for a modular couch and he waked me through everything. Highly recommend!

Refused to sell us four counter height chairs for a total of about $240 unless we spent $1000 on a mattress. Salesman said that shipping on the chairs would be $99 unless we picked them up from their warehouse in Fredericksburg. We were willing to wait for the chairs to be delivered to the store and pick them up there. Still refused to sell. Will never visit this store or order from them again. Not sure what it was about us that warranted this treatment. Fifteen minutes later we got a fantastic deal on a sectional at a much higher end furniture store. Would have gladly given Ashley that money for a sectional we saw there that we liked had we been treated better. They have lost us as customers forever. I

Bad experience after sales.Though protection plan has the policy to cancel for any reason within first 30 days of purchase, store manager didn’t want to help regarding the cancellation.Seems they don’t care after the sales is done .Really? All though store got decent rating , I would strongly suggest all to read lowest reviews too .I had to call the store multiple times regarding delivery and my last item is yet to be delivered. Worst of all store Manager at the store possess rude customer service. Wish I could rate minus ZERO.

I thought I liked Ashley's leather furniture. Unfortunately there is some kind of coating on it that peals. I don't understand what kind of leather does this, but it's garbage. I can't recommend their leather sofas for this reason.

I bought a bed with mattress. I was sent wrong bed two times and they made me buy box spring which i was not needed. I came to store and talked to the sales associate who sold me the bed accepted that the bed I received is not the right one. I talked to the manager shiry regarding this. She does not want to exchange the bed even though she acknowledged that I received the worng bed. She was so rude and unhelpful. She doesn’t want me to help at all. I never experienced such a horrible customer service before. Stay away from this store. Make sure your order before paying. I am never going back to Ashley again in my life. I was going to buy the furniture for my entire new house but now i will never buy. The store employees were apologetic to me but the store manager shirry was the worst. She just doesn’t want me to help at all.

We bought a bed from them a week ago, their sales person eneterd the wrong item number (even i told him to make sure while entering). I ordered with 2 storage drawers but they delivered a plain one. Now they are not taking this case serious and not helping us at all. Their customer service is really pathetic. And the manager there SHIRY was too rude and she was not helping us. Never ever gonna buy anything from them in future. I wanted to buy whole furniture for my new house. But now i will never going back there. Pathetic service.

If I can give them ZERO I will, worst after sale customer service, their sales people needs more traning “too pushy” , delivered 4 items one item damaged they replace it and also delivered it scratched second time, the couch delivered with 3 major scratches. Their warehouse house team beyond rude like the want to cover their mistakes by raising their voice, knowing if they received the same items for them self the way I received them they will ask to exchange it or return it. I love Ashly furniture but if they keep their system the same way they will sooner or later loses their business.

I order furniture in Ashley Sterling on 03/24/24 for my home it was big order. The store manager told me everything is available and will be ready to delivery on Saturday. Half of the furniture was delivered, but the two sets of coffee table was not there, when called back the customer care told will be delivered on Tuesday of the same week, now I am here again for another follow up. They says the coffee table was damaged not delivered but they should at least inform me again because of delay. Please if the store do business in this way, it might not be a good place to purchase here. I would never buy any furniture from Ashley. I paid all in once in the beginning but this happened to me and could happen to you. Please don’t buy here not a good place for your furniture buy. Thanks

This location has terrible customer service. The associate that “helped” us was barely helpful. They promised delivery for one date and did not bother to call and notify us of delay till 3 weeks later. We kept having to call to get statuses and arrange delivery. Their customer service department is the worst. They don’t answer their phones. We finally got the furniture and we are not impressed with the end result. It looks and feels really cheap. It even sure it’s the same quality as what they displayed in the store.

although the service in the store was great when we first placed our order, it took us almost 4 months to receive our couch. We were not given a reason as to why it was delayed, and it was very frustrating process. Not until I went into the store myself to complain, after months of no communication, was I given a reason for the delay. It was just difficult not having a couch for close to four months. Finally got the couch, it was in excellent condition and they were able to set it up quickly. The waiting process was just Unbearable and I believe could have been handled much better. Not sure I will patronize them again.

The sales rep told us we could put down a $100 deposit on any furniture, and if we changed our minds, we'd get it back as store credit since they don't do refunds. Even the manager confirmed this policy. They stressed that the no-refund thing only applied to the deposit, not the full price. So, we decided to order a sofa set, and they threw in a free King size pillow. Two weeks later, we called to cancel the order (since they hadn't shipped it yet), but they said we couldn't cancel and we'd get hit with a 30% fee. They even said that Ashley Homestore runs differently from Ashley Furniture, which was news to us. So, we went back to the store, and the sales rep acted like they never mentioned the policy, and the manager claimed she never spoke to us. Eventually, they said they'd try to get the corporate office to cancel the order. The corporate office did cancel it, but they still charged us $150 for that pillow we never even wanted and couldn't return. Basically, the sales rep and manager were pretty shady just to make a sale. We're definitely not going back to Ashley Homestore or Ashley Furniture after this mess. Edit 8 months later: I am extremely unhappy with my experience. The couch I chose is beautiful and exactly what I wanted—except for one major problem. When I visited the store, I quickly decided that the couch I ended up purchasing was perfect, but there was a catch: it was basically white. I have an 85lb drooly English Bulldog, so I knew keeping the couch clean would be nearly impossible. I spent almost an hour debating whether I should even buy it. That’s when one of the store’s associates (not the guy helping me) stepped in and told me about their insurance plan. He assured me that if I purchased the insurance, it would cover unlimited cleanings for 5 years. He even mentioned that his own mom uses the service four times a year. This was the only reason I decided to go through with the purchase. I made it clear to them: “The only reason I’m buying this couch is because of the insurance coverage.” Fast forward six months—my couch is in need of cleaning. I file a claim, and guess what? It gets denied. The insurance company tells me they don’t cover cleanings like that at all. I was shocked and furious. The only reason I bought the couch was because their associate lied to me about what the insurance would cover. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them if you expect honest or considerate service. Horrendous experience! We ordered a dining table set, couch and chairs from the store in Sterling in November. They said the delivery will take 3-6 weeks and not a peep after 6 weeks, we had to call to remind them and ask where our stuff was- after several run arounds and calling multiple times, they finally said they will ship the dining set in mid Jan, with the couch expected a week after! The dining set came with a broken chair!! The couch mia!! We again called them and asked to cancel the order, they said it will be here in the next 2-3 weeks, we wait till late Jan, nothing, we call again and they say Feb 6.. no surprise- nothing here! We called again and a really rude Customer service lady by name Rosa is telling us their terms and conditions doesn’t allow us to cancel and refund, only to come back into the store to order a replacement! Why the heck will I order a replacement with these frauds to wait another 4 months! After repeatedly reminding them of how they promised to deliver stuff, she throws back in our face that the delivery dates are just estimates and they are cannot be held responsible for exact dates!! Wow in todays world of top notch online order status tracking, great customer service and friendly return services, these dinasours still rip customers off and refuse to refund our money even after 3 full months of non delivery while being rude to us justifying why they’re not at fault. We asked to speak to her manager and she says, manager is busy and don’t expect her to call us back soon!! Just wow!! Horrible store, won’t ever go here and neither should you trust your money with them!

Horrible experience with Ashley Store and Customer care. Beware of Protection plan scam and do not fall into the sales man tricks. They sell furniture and protection plan associated with the third party company called Montage and they do not care after the sale is done. I have purchased a Fabric Sectional Sofa set along with Ottoman and the Ottoman started tearing off at the stitches. However, the protection plan company denies the claim though the Protection plan agreement states that the punctures, rips and burns are covered. Now, its the customer head ache on how to handle this situation and Ashley will still continue to sell the protection plan. I am not going to buy another piece of furniture at Ashley.

Do not buy from Ashley, their customer service sucks, and their products suck even more. Initially, they said they were the sofa manufacturer and everything was vigorously tested. They said it was built to perfection, but when I received the items they were full of defects. After it was delivered, about an hour later, I found out it was full of defects (cut in the fabric, uneven stitch, wrinkle in the stitch and fabric, folded foam, dent on fabric and foam, scratch on fabric.). I went to the store about the defect, they cleaned their hand by saying it got delivered so they could not do anything and gave me the corporate number.I talked to the corporate people and they want more and more pictures eventually they are satisfied and they want to want to replace one of the sofas out of three even though all of them have defects.

I called to inform if they had a specific sectional on the floor. They said it was but in the store it turned out it wasn't. I wanted to do some specific measurements, but couldn't do so. The salesperson gave me incorrect numbers and the numbers I wanted weren't available. In the end I could measure a similar sectional and decided to order the one on the website in the store. This took quite long and was a back and forth of (incorrect) prices. In the end I got a slightly better price than I would have online, so that was good.

My wife and I purchased a dual reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture Store at the Sterling VA location. We purchased the sofa in mid-November, and it was delivered to us prior to Thanksgiving. One week later the control panel for the sofa button was stuck in the on position and would not release. We unplugged the sofa so as not to burn out the motor. We contacted customer service; they asked us for a picture and an explanation, and we provided as they asked. Customer service said they would order the new part and as soon as it arrives contact them so they can schedule a technician to replace the part. After 5 weeks and no part arrived, we called customer service several times with no status and finally they advised us that the part was coming from China and it would take 2 more weeks. The part arrived and we contacted customer service, and they said a technician would be in touch in 48 hours to schedule a time to come out. After a few days I called again because no technician reached out. Customer service said they have the work order in and that we would be contacted. Now we are at 5 weeks for the part and another 2 weeks waiting for the technician. It is just before Christmas, and I received an email from the technician to schedule a date for them to come out. The two dates I was given were February 15th or 16th. Now we have to wait 2 more months before our unusable sofa will be fixed. Again, we were only able to use it for 1 week. I called customer service several times, as now I wanted them to remove the couch and be refunded my money (approximately $3000.00). Customer service said all they can do is place the work order in. I told them that I will go to the store I bought the sofa from. The person at customer service said, “They won’t be able to help you”. SO, I went anyways and this was the last week in December. I spoke with the manager at the store and explained my situation as we were now approaching 8 weeks without a workable sofa. This was after another customer was complaining about dirty furniture being delivered to their house. The customer service liaison was also at the store, and she advised the manager to email their corporate office with the explanation and to indicate I wanted a full refund for the sofa because I was going to eventually have an unusable sofa for 3 months. They let me know that they should have a response very soon and I can wait or if I have something to do and then come back to the store and discuss the response. I have now waited 10 days and no response. I have messaged the store manager wanting an update, the first time he indicated he hasn’t heard anything back, the second message I have not received a response from the manager and now it’s three days waiting and now writing this review. I am now 10 weeks without a workable sofa. No communication from Ashley furniture corporate nor the store in Sterling VA. This is the most unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced. To spend approximately $3000 on a sofa that broke 1 week later. I would advise never to take your business to Ashley Furniture. Their customer service lines have call center individuals that don’t help, managers that don’t follow through, customer liaison that don’t follow through and a corporate office that has failed also. Of course, I will continue to get this resolved, however, I needed to take this step to maybe open the eyes of the corporate office on how their company is failing.

We were informed at this store that our products would be delivered in two weeks. After those two weeks, they said that it would be six weeks. When I started reading reviews, I discovered that other people had the same experience. It is obvious that the 5-star reviews for this store are false.

Initial experience:"Shamila did a good job taking care of us and price match our furniture." Now: Do not buy from Ashley, their customer service sucks, and their products suck even more. Initially, they said they were the sofa manufacturer and everything was vigorously tested. They said it was built to perfection, but when I received the items they were full of defects. After it was delivered, about an hour later, I found out it was full of defects (cut in the fabric, uneven stitch, wrinkle in the stitch and fabric, folded foam, dent on fabric and foam, scratch on fabric.). I went to the store about the defect, they cleaned their hand by saying it got delivered so they could not do anything and gave me the corporate number. I talked to the corporate people and they want more and more pictures eventually they are satisfied and they want to want to replace one of the sofas out of three even though all of them have defects.

Mohamed was a great help he took his time and walked us through everything we were interested in. There was very little sales pressure. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Awful experience. I was sure to order beds that were in stock and ready to deliver within 2 weeks. So I placed the order with help from sales and management at the location. Soon after Ashley told me the beds would not be delivered until January. However today the mattresses I ordered came (I had to call and beg them to at least deliver the mattresses as we just moved and have no beds), the queen mattress delivered was 4” shorter than a standard queen mattress (standard size iis 60x80, this was measure 60x76) and so I had to refuse the delivery (huge gap between mattress and head/footboard). The delivery people called customer support, but they would not help me whatsoever, said I would not receive a refund because all sales are final. They also told me Ashley’s standard for queen size mattress is 59x79 (what a joke). They said the only option I had was to call the store, which is useless because I have been calling them for 2 weeks, ever since I found out the beds would not be arriving on the date they assured me when I placed the order. Today, I have tried to call the store about 20 times and no one answers. I am deeply disappointed with my purchase and the major lack of Customer support; it’s simply nonexistent. Please DO NOT order from Ashley- This is my 3rd purchase and to be honest we have had big issues every time. Plus the quality is wretched. I have finally learned my lesson, and will never place another order with them again.
