My hubby and I had a wonderful experience at Ashley. Excellent service and no pressure. We found multiple options that we loved and left with a beautiful california king bed and chest. Both Abdullah and Shamelia were helpful ,knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this store.

Abdullah and Marina were absolutely great helping me with my living room furniture choice. I found the ideal product for a price within my price range. A big thanks to them both.

We recently visited the store to check out a bed and sofas for our apartment. We ran into Marina who not only guided us towards the best deals but also showed us how our apartment would look with the different sofa sets we selected. She secured us a great deal on a sofa set and a bed frame. She was very friendly and we were lucky to have her help us in selection.

We were shopping for a sofa set for our apartment and they had a lot of options to choose from. It was thanks to Marina that we were able to choose the sofa set that would fit our apartment living room and make it look aesthetically pleasing. She was cooperative, very friendly and patient with our inquiries. She also helped us secure a great discount as well. Would recommend visiting this store and asking for Marina.

I've been to five different Ashley Home Furniture stores and I have to admit that this location is the best one I've been to thus far; their presentation is phenomenal and their staff is very professional. Marina is the sales rep I worked with for my first purchase here, and I have to admit that her passion, warm demeanor, and product knowledge made it extremely easy for me to make my decision to buy. Absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking to furnish their home.

My experience with Christian at the Ashley Store in Dulles was excellent. He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable of all of the various pieces of furniture. There was no pressure at all which I appreciated.

I strongly advise others to avoid this store. Their primary focus appears to be profit rather than customer satisfaction or product quality. I was promised delivery within the same week of purchase, yet my item was not delivered until four weeks later. When I visited the store to address the delay, the manager informed me that I would be responsible for delivery fees if I chose to cancel an order I had not even received. Although we eventually reached a resolution and the furniture was delivered, the experience did not improve. Upon raising concerns about the product I received, I was dismissively told that it was no longer their responsibility and was simply given a phone number to contact. Additionally, I later discovered that my personal information had been entered incorrectly on the financing application. This error resulted in missed payments, as Synchrony Bank confirmed that my apartment number and email address were never properly recorded. Overall, this was a highly unprofessional and frustrating experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this store.

Urgent Request: Mattress Replacement Due to Damage Upon Delivery I am writing regarding my recent purchase of two Tempur-Pedic XL mattresses from Ashley. Upon delivery, one of the mattresses was already in unacceptable condition. There were visible stains on the corner and the lower right-middle area, and the shape of that section also appeared inconsistent compared to the rest of the mattress. Additionally, the delivery driver attempted to clean the stained area using Clorox wipes. I am concerned that this may have caused further damage to the mattress materials. I contacted customer service, and they asked to send photos, which I did. However, I did not receive any follow-up for several days. When I called again yesterday, I was asked to resend the photos, which I have done. At this point, I would like to request an immediate replacement for the damaged mattress. The product was not delivered in new and proper condition, and I am concerned about both cleanliness and potential material damage. Please confirm as soon as possible that a replacement will be arranged. Thank you.

Ashley Furniture in Sterling , VA was top notch service and were very accommodating!

We visited this store looking for a different "modern" style for an area not so big. Not only the most "modern" was not what we were looking for but, the furniture was for huge houses with huge livings, kitchens, bedrooms, etc. Their "giantic" was oversized in all senses. They have different "styles" that were not cute or affordable. Definitively not for us. Disappointed... So far.

Today 3/14/2026. I walked to this furniture store and immediately greeted by one of their sales associates with pure professionalism, named Marina. She has guided me without putting any pressure on me which made it easier for me to pick what I want within my budget for the items that I need. I would strongly advise against purchasing a bed or adjustable base through Ashley Furniture (Sterling). Based on my experience, I simply do not trust how this store conducts business. This will be my last purchase at Ashley entirely. I made the mistake of purchasing a Stearns & Foster mattress and adjustable base from Ashley for about $4,600, on Feb 12th 2026 and I completely regret the decision. It has been a huge waste of time and disaster overall. - I should have read the reviews, many customers are having issues. Please do a simple search before you proceed with any purchases at Ashley to make an informed decision. Recommendation: If you are considering purchasing a mattress or adjustable base, I strongly recommend buying directly from the manufacturer instead of going through Ashley. In my experience, Ashley adds no value and only creates unnecessary delays and frustration when problems arise. The customer support lacks accountability, is consistently unhelpful, often rude, and resolving issues can take a month or more—if you are lucky enough to make progress at all. The problem: The adjustable base began making a loud noise when used. I reported the issue within two hours of delivery, yet it has taken over a month just to make minimal progress. During that time: - I was sent to the manufacturer three separate times, only to be told they do not produce this adjustable base and haven manufactured the base in 6+ month. - The manufacturer said Ashley incorrectly directs around 15 customers per day to them for products they do not make. - I was asked to submit photos twice because someone apparently closed the ticket without resolution. - Weeks passed without responses. - I was told an exchange ticket had been created, only to later find out that it had not. Now, after more than a month, I have been informed they will attempt to repair the base rather than replace it. This is going to waste even more hours of my time and extend the timeline by weeks/months. Best case scenario 4 additional weeks, 1-2 weeks for parts to arrive and possibly 1-2 week to schedule the tech. The good The selection sales staff was well informed and helpful right up until you make the purchase.

Truly disappointed in Ashley Furniture in Sterling, VA. I am a disabled veteran, my wife ordered sofa furniture in January worth over $5,500 to be delivered in a 2 months after our new home was ready. When we tried to coordinate delivery, they wouldn’t answer the phones, representative who assisted us wouldn’t answer his phone and they had input a wrong phone number and email address instead of using her prior customer profile from when she made a large purchase in 2020. We had to go in person to resolve, only to be told furniture is no longer available, we are out $5,500 and have no furniture delivered, we simply wanted a refund and they said all sales are final of which they didn’t tell us at the sell date, saying we can only accept a store credit. This is really disappointing and we now have to wait up to 2 weeks from corporate to review the case on deciding a if we can get a refund, of which they can deny, in the meantime, we will sit on the floors because they are unprofessional. The customer service was rude!!!

Truly bad customer service throughout the process. I ordered and paid $5,500 worth furniture in January for delivery in 2 months. I was a repeat customer, but they rushed into a sale and input incorrect phone number, email and name instead of using my prior purchase profile. I called numerous times to coordinate delivery and they never answered the phone. I had to leave work early to discuss in person, only to be told the furniture I ordered for delivery is no longer available and no refund is given either. This is sad and shameful for a business to take my money and full payment, not deliver any furniture, only to say we had to take a store credit. All we want is a refund instead of giving this company the funds for extremely bad service. Please don’t shop here!!!

I am sorry to say that this branch was below my expectations, except for a staff member with the name of Adam. spending almost 20 minutes to pay for buying two vases with a total amount that did not exceeded $120 , then asking for address, phone #, and then another ID ? what! to verify the credit! really! then if I bought an item of $1000 or $2000 will you be asking for a manager cheque! and they topped it all, "we don't have anything to wrap it with", no bubble wraps, no paper, not even using their plastic bags to safely wrap it from breaking.. what a non-sense!

Purchased a dining table & sectional from a salesman who seemed professional up until the table he said that would be delivered the following week wasn’t due to not passing inspection. 3 weeks later, communication with him & delivery have been lacking so I called the store (left a voicemail), & went to the store for a refund. Manager was unprofessional acting smug about my situation; she compared it to purchasing a defective item from Amazon. Thanks to the lack thereof of the manager’s empathy & compassion. I’ve purchased a table & 4 chairs from what I thought was a reputable store (mind you I live in MD and dedicated to drive multiple times to Sterling, VA to give them the business) last month & my family is still without proper seating to eat and converse. Please go to any other furniture store/skip Ashley’s in Sterling, VA as I’ve purchased from Ashley’s and other furniture shops and never had this issue before.

Worst furniture store experience of my life Absolutely horrible experience with Ashley Furniture from start to finish. Furniture quality: Cheap, poorly made, and not worth the price at all. What was delivered looked nothing like what was shown in the store. Flimsy materials, uneven pieces, and defects right out of the box. This is low-quality furniture being sold at premium prices. Delivery: A complete nightmare. Delays, poor communication, and missed expectations. The delivery team was careless and unprofessional. No accountability whatsoever. Customer service: Customer service was completely unhelpful. I was passed around, put on hold endlessly. No one takes responsibility, and no one seems empowered to actually fix problems. Refund policy: Shockingly unfair. Despite receiving defective and unacceptable furniture, they refused to issue a refund. They hide behind their policies and make it almost impossible for customers to get their money back—even when the product is clearly faulty. This company clearly cares more about sales than customers. Once they have your money, you are on your own. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and money. Do NOT shop at Ashley Furniture.

Update 2/19 - I take back everything I said about Abdullah and Ashley Furniture. The whole experience has been harrowing after the order was placed. The wrong bed frame was delivered. After repeated visits to the store, phone calls, text messages there has been no resolution. The store says work with the claims department, the claims department is non communicative and blatantly lied about sending us an email. I have now developed a back ache as I cannot get on or off the bed because the base is very high and I literally need a step stool to get on the bed. Save your time and money and go to other furniture stores that provide a better customer experience.

Worked with Adam Miller at the Dulles Crossing location — Adam was amazing. Did a great job explaining different mattresses and how they can fit our different sleep styles. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We ended up settling on a dual king adjustable mattress set as well as a new bed frame, night stands and dresser. We will definitely return to work with Adam when it’s time for our next furniture needs.

Great customer service! I bought a new living room set for my new home. I will be coming back

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain about my recent purchase and the manner in which your company has handled a clear merchandise error. Christian, our salesperson, was courteous and helpful; however, he selected the incorrect item for our order. The mistake was not discovered immediately because, at the time of delivery, our home was still under construction and we were unable to open the boxes. We verified the item numbers on the boxes against the receipt, and since they matched, we reasonably assumed the merchandise was correct. Once the furniture was unboxed, we discovered that the couch was not as ordered: all sections were reclinable except for one middle section. This configuration was not what we requested or intended to purchase. We promptly contacted customer service, but our request for an exchange was denied solely because we had signed the delivery invoice. We then escalated the matter to the store manager, who reopened a ticket; however, the exchange was again refused. In an effort to resolve the issue reasonably, I offered to pay any price difference and even to personally return the incorrect couch section to your warehouse. Despite these good-faith efforts, no resolution was offered. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and the refusal to accommodate what should be a straightforward merchandise exchange. The error originated at the point of sale, and your company should take responsibility for correcting it. Instead, I have been left with a product that does not match what I ordered or reasonably expected to receive. At this point, I am seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as I feel misled and unfairly treated throughout this process. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed once again and resolved appropriately.

am writing to formally complain about the poor delivery service related to my couch order. Since purchasing the couch, I have called multiple times to confirm delivery. Each time, I was given a specific delivery date and told to expect the delivery on that day. However, the delivery did not occur as promised. This has happened repeatedly. The issue is not just a delay, but the fact that each time I contacted your company, I was given a new date that was not honored. This shows poor delivery coordination and a lack of reliable communication with customers.

I recently purchased a bedroom and living room set. I had a good experience with the salesperson in the store, who was helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the delivery service was extremely disappointing. The delivery person arrived, and I spoke with him directly and requested that he wait about 10 minutes while I came downstairs. Despite my request, he left without delivering the furniture and did not listen at all. We paid over $700 plus for delivery, and this level of service is unacceptable. I tried multiple times to contact the delivery distributor, but no one answered the phone or returned my calls. I then contacted Ashley Furniture customer support, and someone from the store said they would call me to reschedule, but I never received a call. This was a very poor and frustrating experience. I have never experienced such unprofessional delivery service, especially from a well-known furniture company like Ashley. The in-store experience was good, but the delivery process seriously needs improvement.

Extremely unpleasant experience at this store. I noticed 2 people sitting at the entrance itself with one leg crossed over the other and another person sitting with his legs stretched and placing his legs on the Centre table. More worst is that they’re answering to our questions in that posture, this didn’t give us welcoming ambience. Are they managers or employees? Whoever it is…speaking to customers like that isn’t a well respected manner.

Upon arriving at the store, I noticed 4 gentlemen who turned around, looked in my direction, and then immediately turned back around. I approached the male seated at the podium and asked whether there were any living room sets or sofas available that I could take home the same day. He responded that there was nothing on clearance, which was not what I had asked. I then inquired about the turnaround time if I were to place an order, and he stated that delivery would be after the holiday. He then proceeded to mention that the store offers layaway options. At no point did I ask about clearance items or payment plans. This interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and discriminated against, as the information provided appeared to be based on assumptions about my financial ability rather than my actual questions or intent to purchase.

Ashley sends me broken furniture and upon noticing I get in contact with them. They take about 2 and half weeks to get back to me, only to tell me to contact the protection plan company. I get in touch with that company only to be told the time to report has passed. I explained to them Ashley took their time to respond back. They ask of proof and I show them the email telling me to contact montage the protection plan company. Now protection plan company besides the email wants the initial chat that took place with Ashley agent. Is Ashley going to give us record of that chat or just ignore and move on with giving their customers broken furniture , delay responding back in order for protection plan company to also ignore us. This is place is a scam.

Shopping experience was fine but please think twice about delivery. Delivery drivers arrived today, on a wet rainy day, to delivery our furniture. My husband met them at the door and asked them to please remove or cover their wet shoes. They said no and came inside anyway. My husband asked again while they were in the entryway to please remove their wet shoes, as we have a no shoes in the house policy, and they again said no because they also had wet socks. They continued to walk in their wet shoes up our light colored carpeted stairs as my husband continued to ask them please remove their shoes. Hearing my husband's repeated basic request to remove wet shoes on a rainy day be ignored, I then got involved and continued to beg the delivery men to please stop trying to carry furniture through our house while wearing wet shoes. Halfway through our carpeted house, they finally removed their shoes. They then proceeded to slam the two pieces of the recliner they were delivering together and leave before I even had a chance to sit in the recliner to be sure it was working. This is honestly the strangest and most unprofessional experience I have ever had with delivery, home repair, etc. I have never seen someone repeatedly refuse to remove their shoes while continuing to walk through my home with wet feet. Ultimately, I wish we would have skipped the delivery and just picked up the recliner from the warehouse myself. I did try contacting the delivery company and was told without photos of damage, they can't do anything to help or refund any of the delivery fee. I would highly suggest checking out the reviews for T&T Distribution before paying for any delivery from Ashley Furniture. I didn't think to look before ordering furniture in store, but looking now there are no shortage of egregious 1 star reviews.

If I could give a zero star I would. I was looking for a white queen bed for my guest room. The salesman sold me a bed, mattress, and base. When assembled it is way too tall for the bed. Customer service told me to upload photos to a link that didn’t work. Supposed to take photos under the base. That base alone was over 150 pounds. Received the run around for two weeks about taking back the too-tall mattress, base, and mattress cover. Rude salesmen and customer service. A pushy salesman wanted me to get a complete set for my bedroom. That would be over $8,000 but who cares as long as they can push their crap on you! Mattress was inferior and is standing in the bedroom nearly bent over because of the way they roll that thing into a tight tootsie roll. Shameful the way they treat customers. All of them just so they can make a sale.

Literally the worst experience ever. From the salesman to the manager. Once they get you to sign a contract they no longer care about the customer or making them happy. When I came into the store initially we were promised 2 free pillows as an incentive to buy a mattress with base by the sleep study director. This incentive was listed on the quote but When finalized our ticket they removed the staff note “free pillow” incentive without our knowledge and declined to honor what was agreed upon even though the quote showed the incentive. The incentive was the only reason why we went with the purchase. Had we known this we would have went elsewhere to spend thousands of dollars. The communication during the whole experience was not there. They delivered our bed & base without the correct connecting piece so we have no working adjustable base. For the price we paid this is unacceptable. We were promised a certain delivery date and not once were we notified of items being on back order. Stay away from Ashley’s furniture if you want a great experience and good customer service I would not recommend.

Excellent Service from Tony at Ashley Furniture – Sterling, VA I had a great experience working with Tony at Ashley Furniture in Sterling! He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. I purchased a beautiful wrap-around couch, rug, and ottoman, and Tony made sure everything matched perfectly and fit my space. He took the time to answer all my questions, walked me through different options, and never made me feel rushed or pressured.

Joanna did an amazing job in making our trip nice and easy. Not to mention that she could speak Spanish! I would 100% come back.

Guys please make sure about the product specially the protection plan. I bought a king mattress in April 2025 and now it’s really uncomfortable and painful. We went to the store and told them our issues. They gave us number to call for T&T distribution serving Ashley customers they said the particular mattress has no protection plan but they don’t mention it when we buy. Please be careful this store me personally this is my last one never back. They deserve 0 points never even recommend.

Sales person was not helpful at all in providing pricing and measurement info., even after he promised me he'd text me the info. after getting my phone number. Unliked other furniture stores nearby who printed out measurements, Ashley salesman used sleazy sales tactics. BTW, Furniture quality was not on par with other stores either.

I had one of the worst experiences at the Ashley store in Sterling. The salesperson told me not to worry about the delivery fee and made it sound like it would be a small, reasonable charge. I trusted them and didn’t double-check the paperwork at the time. A few days later, when I looked at my invoice, I was shocked to see that I had been charged $229 just to deliver a mattress that cost $899—a delivery that took less than 15 minutes! On top of that, they even charged $109 for a mattress cover. This feels completely misleading and unfair. I trusted the salesperson’s words, but what I got was an outrageous fee that was never explained properly. Any deal is built on trust, and they broke that completely. I will never purchase from this store again and would strongly caution others to review their invoices carefully before trusting what the staff tells you.

Delivery services could have been better with better communication, but I won’t let that overshadow my in-store experience. Even when delivery messed up, Muhammad helped fix the problem. I would shop at Ashley again.

Terrible company and even worst business practices. I would stay away

As you’ll see from other reviews, it’s important to really understand the terms before buying a mattress from this store. No matter what the salesperson promises, exchanges and refunds (even store credit) are not guaranteed. In my case, they sent the wrong mattress size even after I paid extra for 2-day shipping, and the only resolution offered was store credit. The mattress itself wasn’t comfortable, and when I tried to upgrade, that request was also denied. The terms of the agreement you sign directly conflict with what the salesman may tell you. Ashley corporate says this location is independently owned, and the store didn’t seem concerned with keeping me as a returning customer. To be fair, the mattress wasn’t defective, but I’d recommend reading all the reviews and the fine print carefully so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to.

Our salesman, Tony was excellent! He gave us space to browse the showroom floor, answered questions, and was quick to get us checked out and on our way. Most of all, he did not pressure us at any time.

Very disappointed with Ashley. We purchased a dining table set and it was delivered in terrible condition — damaged, dirty, and clearly not checked before delivery. When we contacted customer service, they showed no respect or concern and simply told us to return it. They admitted they don’t refund the down payment, only store credit, but I do not want to buy furniture from them ever again. Why don’t they quality-check items before loading them? This whole experience has been frustrating, unprofessional, and a waste of time and money.

I wish zero star was an option. Please don’t buy here, worst customer service. They never put customers first. Once the payment on the order has been made you are on your own. They will never respond to phone calls, will never ever try to help you with delivery. Getting an update on in-route delivery is so difficult and inefficient, and they don’t care for the window they asked you to be home for white glove delivery. Worst experience, never going back.

Honestly, when I was in the store introduced by the salesperson, I was quite satisfied by the service. That’s why I decided to buy the sofa I wanted. However, when I received the sofa I ordered, I immediately found out some stains and uneven parts. I was trying very hard to contact the salesperson, who had been passionately selling the products through text messages before I purchased them, suddenly did not respond to my messages any more. It seems that he disappears all of the sudden. It makes me wonder if I made a huge mistake by purchasing this sofa and extra protection plans. I feel very uncomfortable and even cheated by such after service. When I tried to contact customer service and sent out my request, despite being processed quickly, the service is also outsourced to another party, which requires further discussion and schedule. After a month, I am waiting for the confirmation regarding further details. It’s exhausting and frustrating and disappointing.

I told him when I was ready, I would return and ask for him, as I try to maintain loyalty to the salesperson I work with from the beginning. As I was finalizing my selections, he brought in his colleague to get her opinion on the choices of colors I made for furniture and rugs, which helped me to narrow down my selections. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Stay far away from this company! I ordered a couch a few days ago, and they delivered a completely different one—then tried to claim it was the same. The store manager will sweet-talk you into buying, then scam you. When I reached out for help, they told me to contact customer service, but the support team was completely unhelpful and clearly didn’t care. Total scam. Do not trust them. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere!

I came here on Monday to help my brother with some items for his new home. I didnt have any realistic expectations as I assumed we would walk in/ out. We'll surprisingly 2hrs later we walked out with more than expected. We worked with Mohammed and he was truly amazing! Greeted us as soon as we walked in, told us about the specials and let us walk around until we were ready for a quote. The icing on the cake was how much they were willing to work with us as my brother had a set budget and Mohammed's boss Cameron(who was also amazing) was able to work us and sealed the deal. A great place to shop, lots of items in store vs online so I highly recommend- I surely will be back to shop for my home!

I wanted something from Ashley furniture without paying the delivery fee, so I walked into the store and Tony and Cameron were very helpful! I was in and out, and I also test drove some new mattresses. Super friendly, easy, and would return when I am looking for more furniture.

Several months ago I purchased a recliner from Milan in Sterling and he told me that it would be 12 months interest free financing. I have been charged interest for every month. I contacted the credit company, they told me I had the deal with the store that I purchased from. I went to the store and they told me to contact the credit company. Calling Ashley corporate customer service was a waste of time as well. Poor customer service all around! Bottom line, I advise you to AVOID ASHLEY HOME STORE in Sterling, VA and especially MILAN!

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! This has been one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. I purchased an expensive mattress from this store just two weeks ago. I made it very clear to the salesperson that I didn’t know much about mattresses and needed guidance. They pushed me into buying one and repeatedly assured me—along with the store manager—that if I wasn’t satisfied, I could exchange it. To protect myself, I even paid extra for mattress protection. The mattress was delivered on Thursday, and by Sunday—just TWO DAYS later—I returned to the store to request a switch because it was extremely uncomfortable. That’s when the nightmare began. The store staff refused to help and told me to call customer service. When I did, the representative was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and condescending, and told me flat-out that returns or exchanges are not allowed—completely contradicting what the store promised. This place is dishonest, misleading, and unprofessional. I was scammed out of hundreds of dollars and left with a mattress I can’t even sleep on. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They will lie to get your money and then leave you stranded. A complete disgrace of a business.

After my last post, I called and left messages at Ashley customer service. The store in Sterling is supposed to send me a bar stool since 6 weeks, and still no news. The delivery team is not even aware that one bar stool is missing, what a terrible service! They keep telling me to reach the store in Sterling, since they don’t pick up the phone, I have to drive there and ask for the furniture I bought!!!! —————— The sales team at Ashley Furniture in Sterling was friendly and helpful, and the delivery guys were also professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the experience with their warehouse has been terrible. The whole delivery process is completely disorganized and disconnected. I keep receiving conflicting emails from the warehouse and delivery teams about what is supposed to be in the delivery. We received cracked and damaged furniture that had to be sent back, and we’re still waiting for the pieces we originally purchased. Terrible service when it comes to fulfilling and delivering orders. Very frustrating experience overall.

Mr. Tony was an amazing sales associate. He went out of his way to assure that I found exactly what I was looking for. With black not being as common of a color he went through each piece, weighed pros vs cons and the commonality of purchase history. There were pieces with more storage space but I wanted to get something that was extremely sturdy and well built. The dresser we ultimately selected was reminiscent of a dresser I had when I was a kid from Stanley. That dresser was a very light oak and withstood over 15 plus years of abuse from a child that later grew to a teenager. I was also able to give that piece to my nephew, who ultimately will be able to do the same if he still has it. In a world where things aren’t made with the piece of mind it will last I was grateful J was able to find this piece.

I have been incredibly patient with them through at least 15 customer service calls. Unfortunately, after shopping at Amazon and Costco, I found the experience shopping at Ashley downright awful. They promised to deliver $4,000 worth of overpriced furniture by May 13. That was the only reason I went with their furniture to begin with. Needless to say, they partially delivered some items on May 13 and one of the major items was damaged upon arrival. They would not take it back right away. Instead, they had me call their customer service and after numerous calls I still do not have a replacement. And the remaining parts that were supposed to arrive on May 13, I still have not received them. They keep promising a date and do not deliver as promised. In fact, one day they said they were right on the way and made me wait 4 hours at home only to say after I called them that they cannot make it. Now when I call them they give me a date that is 3 weeks away. Yet they charged the full amount on the order to my credit card which is a clear violation of Virginia law. I know this sounds so bad that it appears that I am making all this up but my experience is 100% real. I even had to move my flight tickets to accommodate their deliveries. These guys are almost a scam. Please stay away from this place. I really do not know how they are still in business! I do not believe they will last much longer.

I have a very bad experience with Ashley, we bought items over 5000 dollars, the bed and the mattress very high, we wanted to change the mattress after 1 day for a smaller mattress, they never wanted to change. Customer service is very bad. A word of advice if you want to furnish your house never make the mistake of buying from Ashley, bad treatment of customers, this company deserves to be closed.

The sales associates were very pushy and openly sexist to my family when we visited to look at couches for our living room. Not one but multiple sales associates directed any and all questions about what we were looking for and how we would be paying (for a couch that we had not even decided on yet) to my brother who was the only man present despite us making it clear that it would be our mother who would be paying.

Went in to buy a bed, spoke with a salesman and wanted to move forward with a purchase.. He was trying to charge me $269 for delivery when I pushed back he said he could drop it to $99.. I held off went online and found the same bed, same price but delivery online was free. Weird that the salesman would try and charge me a delivery fee. Don't buy In-Store from the shady salesmen

The actual purchase process was fine. We found what we liked, the salesperson was friendly and setting up the purchase went okay. The first red flag was that they would not provide a delivery date until the actual order was made. Delivery was important to us as we are replacing a couch in bad shape and wanted it to happen sooner rather than later. If later, we would have moved on. We were told that the pieces are generally in stock and it should not be long for us to receive it. When we actually received the paperwork and final sales order it stated 4-7 weeks. Not the end of the world, but also does not align with what we were told that actually got us to purchase. Fast forward 7 weeks we hear nothing so I inquired with our sales rep. They quickly answered stating that the store would be in touch and they were. The store stated that it would all be available soon and we would receive a call to schedule the next week. Just as they said, we got the delivery scheduling text and I scheduled it. Later I noticed that all of the quantities of the pieces of the sectional were off and the descriptions did not match the sales order. I again called the store and was informed that only part of the couch had arrived, but this was not stated on their delivery. Had I not seen this, we would have disposed of what we had now entirely and likely received partial/wrong pieces and ended up in a worse place than we are now. They still do not know when the remainder will arrive and seemed surprised that I didn't want to take delivery more than one time. I'm hopeful that this can be corrected but I'm quickly losing confidence that it will. This is not the customer service that you would expect when paying $4,000 for one piece of furniture.

We purchased furniture from your store in Dulles Crossing, Sterling Virginia a month ago, and at the time of purchase, the sales associate assured us that our items would be delivered by March 4th. We specifically confirmed this delivery date because we were hosting a housewarming on March 7th, and timely delivery was crucial. However, when we followed up on March 4th, we were informed by customer service that our items were on backorder. At no point were we notified in advance about this delay. To make matters worse, when we requested a refund due to this failure on your part, we were told that we could only cancel the order for store credit—which we reluctantly accepted. Despite the inconvenience, we traveled an hour to your store to reselect items, only to find out that the available choices were also on backorder! Additionally, we were not allowed to select items from your website, further limiting our options. It is completely unacceptable that after failing to fulfill our original order, Ashley is refusing to refund our money and restricting our ability to reselect from the full inventory. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, misleading, and unfair. Your company has failed to uphold its commitment to timely delivery, and now you are effectively holding our money hostage without providing a solution that works for us. We demand a full refund immediately, as this entire situation is the result of Ashley Store’s failure to deliver as promised. If this issue is not resolved promptly, we will have no choice but to escalate our complaint to consumer protection agencies.

Complaint Regarding Faulty Furniture from Ashley Furniture... Very Very bad product and service from Ashley. This store people only know how to fool customers. They show something else in the showroom, and once purchased, they deliver a defective product. I had a very bad experience and suggest the other customers look at other furniture brands; if possible, try an Amazon, Wayfair, or any other online purchase. The good thing is if you are not happy with the product or the delivered damaged product, the 30-day free return saves you a lot as compared to Ashley, who does not provide such a return offer. Their return policy comes with a 30% penalty charge on your total purchase; in any case, they accept to return, which is very unlikely. Description of Issues: 1. Console Table Damage: Upon delivery, I immediately noticed that the cloth on the top of the console was severely damaged and torn. As per Ashley Furniture's policy, any damage or issue upon delivery must be reported to customer service, which I did promptly as a loyal customer. A claim was opened, and I was assured that the issue would be addressed. The initial complaint was filed on the delivery date itself, yet, to this day, the product remains unresolved and still in the possession of Ashley Furniture. What is even more frustrating is that, despite numerous attempts, your team has attempted to deliver the same faulty product four times, disrupting my family and causing significant inconvenience? Each time I raised my concerns with customer service, I was provided with reasons related to ordering a new console, but no action was ever taken, and I continued to receive the damaged product. This level of customer service is not only deeply frustrating but also entirely unacceptable. I am appalled by the repeated failures in addressing this issue, the lack of communication, and the persistent delivery of a faulty product. As a paying customer, I expect a timely resolution and a replacement of the damaged console, not continuous delays and poor service. 2. Sofa Defects: The sofa had exposed staples at the bottom, which caused a sharp scratch injury to my foot. This defect presents a danger to all family members, especially my 6-month-old infant, who has recently started crawling and exploring the floor. Potential Hazard: The defective condition of these items poses a serious safety risk to my household, particularly for my infant. If the faulty product remains in our home, it could lead to injuries or accidents, which is deeply concerning for the well-being of my family. Resolution Sought: I have reached out to Ashley Furniture regarding these issues, but they refuse to take the product back or provide a safe replacement. I seek their assistance in resolving this matter. I made various requests to prevent any damage to my family from their nasty product, but no use. Once the product is sold, its all customer liability period. This is a real example from a damaged customer like me :( :(

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Ashley Furniture I’m very disappointed with my recent order at Ashley Furniture in Sterling, VA. The salesperson promised delivery by a specific date, but around the promised date, I was told it would be delayed by at least another week, with no clear timeline. The receipt didn’t reflect the original delivery date. When I asked to cancel, I was told there’s no refund policy, even though delivery was still a week away. They also didn’t honor their online refund policy for cancellations within 48 hours. This lack of transparency and poor customer service means I won’t be shopping here again.

At first, everything was going really well and I was excited to get a sectional and swivel love seat with my fiance. I was ready to set up financing with a deposit. AFTER entering my information and submitting, the man told me my credit was “locked/ frozen” and started to ask about my credit and why it would do that. I am concerned and confused to hear this. It turns out it was not locked or frozen. They did a hard credit pull without ever mentioning that was what’s happening. Of course I was not approved for a 12 month 0% APR plan. I have average/above average credit. The man helping us NEVER explained there would be a hard pull on my credit. And NEVER explained it was specifically for that. I was under the impression it was to see what I COULD apply for. Right after, he tells me there’s a plan we can do that doesn’t need a credit check. You can pay off the sofa in 3 months or pay it off within 12 months with interest. He said if it takes longer than 12 months then the price will double. This was wrong. We got the agreement plan that states I must pay biweekly and if it is not paid off in 3 months then the price doubles. And then you have 9 months to pay off the price that just doubled. On top of that, when this man took my passport and debit card and explained ye would be right back. After a couple minutes we spotted him chatting to another man and woman looking at a sofa. He proceeded to for about 5 minutes. Then was gone for a couple more minutes, and back with my things. NOT ONLY THAT. Everything is in my name, NOT my fiancé’s. This employee is only explaining things to my fiancé. He isn’t talking to me, looking at me, or explaining any of it to me. That upset my fiancé and I both. And yet, with NONE of my fiancé’s information on the application, my fiance got MY application approval text to HIS phone. Because the man that was “helping” us had my fiancé’s phone number from over a week ago when we originally expressed interest. NO WHERE IN THE APPLICATION DID I PUT MY fiancés information. The cherry on top and the color photos below. There were two different prices for the sectional. When we asked, the man told us it was the price different between getting and 2 piece or 3 piece sectional. We didn’t mind paying more for the 3 piece. Except the both tags CLEARLY state they are for the 3 piece sectional. Overall, a horrible experience. I now have a hard credit pull on my credit score, no sofa, and wasn’t taken seriously as the person who is taking sole financial responsibility for a purchase. I feel bad for writing such a negative review, but something really needs to be done about it. The manager was not helpful as we explained why we were upset.

Don’t buy furniture from here. It’s taken over a month and a half to receive everything. Furniture showed up damaged and the store proceeded to tell me to call customer service. Store manager is completely useless. Overpriced and not worth the headache.

Pathetic customer service. Dining table quality was sub-par, and a claim was filed within a month. They did not respond back for 3 weeks, and when I called in, they said claim had been closed. I had warranty, which they said is not applicable. Spent thousands for nothing.

Zero star , WORSE customer service ever, the customer care employees don’t want to help you at all . All sales are final sales , there is not such a thing as 30 days return policy, store credit means reselecting an item , that doesn’t mean you can reselect what you want they will choose for you. I’m really disappointed with my recent experience with Ashley Furniture. I ordered a couch and coffee table set on 11/9 and was initially told to expect delivery within 2-3 weeks. However, the delivery has been delayed multiple times, and I’m now left waiting without a clear update on when I’ll actually receive my furniture. Mohammad was my sales person and lied to me on when my couch will get delivered to secure the sale. The lack of communication is incredibly frustrating. I’ve had to follow up repeatedly to get any updates, and each time I’m given a vague or inconsistent answer. This level of service is not what I expected from a company with such a strong reputation. I will never use Ashley Furntiure again.

I want to share my recent experience at your store, which was quite disappointing. I visited the store the day before Thanksgiving to purchase a couch. Upon my arrival, I was approached by a salesman who offered several options. Unfortunately, none of the couches were comfortable or to my liking, except for a leather sectional that closely matched one I already own. I purchased my previous sectional for $2,700 in 2019, and I was surprised to find that the price had not changed after more than four years. I asked the salesman if he could check with the store manager regarding a possible discount, as I have been a loyal customer. When the store manager, Shirwet, arrived, I found her response to be quite rude. She stated, "We don’t offer any discounts. That’s the price; if you want to take it, take it; if not, leave," and then she walked away. While I understand that everyone has off days, I believe it’s essential for staff to treat customers with respect and professionalism. Despite this experience, I ended up purchasing the couch, but I felt compelled to express my dissatisfaction with how I was treated. Thank you for considering my feedback.

I don’t usually write reviews like this but this encounter warrants a review. We waited for the store to open at 9 am on Black Friday and were the first customers to walk in. Rep Ahmad was helping us when Sherri walked in, she was initially giving us design ideas which we were open to but soon her attitude was condescending and unwarranted. I wish they had a little patience to show what we are looking for. Walked out of the store to not ruin our day further.

Ali was nice, he actually listened to the words I was saying, and efficiently got me through the sale of a couch that costs the same as Airpods Max. What more can you ask for if you were raised as a woman?

This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a furniture store. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It started with our initial delivery attempt, where the drivers damaged the couch trying to force it through the front door. I suggested they try the back door, where it would fit easily, but they refused, claiming they weren’t allowed to. After calling customer service, I was informed that they were capable of using the back door, and there was no reason for the refusal. After no one answered my calls for over 24 hours, I had to drive to the store to speak with someone in person. The manager I spoke with on Tuesday, the 19th, assured me the couch would be on a truck and delivered on Thursday, the 21st. Thursday came, and no couch arrived. Customer service suddenly couldn’t locate our delivery. We rescheduled for a third time—this time for 11/26, between 1–4 PM. I took another day off work to wait for it. Yet again, no couch arrived. When I called customer service, I learned they had delivered it to the wrong address! How is it possible they managed to show up at my house the first time and still have the correct address on the receipt, but somehow delivered to the wrong place this time? To make matters worse, no one called to notify me of this mistake. After all this, the manager offered a measly $150 discount on a $4,000 couch. I am appalled by this entire process. Three major errors, countless hours wasted, and now my family, who is coming down for Thanksgiving, has nowhere to sit. To top it off, the receptionist at the store has terrible customer service skills. I gave this store far too much grace after the first two errors, but this third mistake is inexcusable. I advise everyone to stay far away from this location. This experience has been an absolute nightmare.

Ashley store in Sterling, VA. Monica, she was very much nice to help friendly to our Sofa set. I recommend her 100% for sale service.

TL:DR: Paid $1500 for a mattress that should have shown up 4 months ago, and almost never hear from them about it. Do not shop here Sept 2nd. 2024 I purchased an Ashley Brand hybrid mattress from the Ashley’s Furniture located at 45633 Dulles Eastern Plaza #134, Sterling, VA 20166. We signed an agreement that the mattress would be manufactured and delivered in 4-7 weeks. We are charged through credit card before leaving the store, and the $1500 clear before the end of the next business day. We were notified days before the 6 week mark the mattress was shipping but would be delayed an additional week because it failed an inspection and that we would be contacted with updates. The 8th week arrives (now Oct. 15th), and we get no form of communication, so I initiate a call asking for an update. I’m told that the mattress is delayed further and I can expect a call later that day from the store manager. After a day without a call, I called back again (Oct. 17, 2024) asking for a manager and an update. After speaking with the manager, we are promised direct communication from him as well as the salesman who we originally purchased with. We were also promised that the mattress would be arriving Nov. 1, 2024 and that we would be notified if anything changed. Nov. 2nd 2024 comes and not only have we not heard back in term of a delivery date, I called the store only to find out that there was another “delay” (which the customer service rep could not define explicitly why) and that the newly updated date is Nov. 20, 2024. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since it seems that they were going to continue to push back the delievery indefinitely without offering a refund or at minimum taking the initiative to CALL ME with updates. Since then, they have been only slightly more consistent with calling with updates. Now, I just received another call saying that the mattress will not be ready for inspection on the Nov 20th 2024 date provided, but instead will be arriving at their store Nov 29th, with the earliest arrival date at my home during the "First Week of December). I now have no faith, since it’s approaching 4 months, that the mattress will arrive giving that we have paid $1500 and receive no updates about our mattress despite already paying for it. As an apology for the inconvienience they have offered a pillow and $25 off my "next purchase". It feels as if we have been scammed out of our money and they will continue to push the date back until we are unable to receive the mattress or our money back. I wouldn't recommending spending any amount of money in this store. The poor customer service after purchase, the lack of communication, and inability to keep their word has guaranteed that I will not be purchasing anything from this store again unfortunately.

Be aware, they would tell you to buy and it will fit well, but if you want to cancel you can’t cancel , it only goes to store credits. So once they take your money , you will never see it again if you change your mind. Very inconvenient. You also will be assured that if you need to return it because it doesn’t work in your home, you will be able to with no problems. Be aware you can’t get a refund !!!!

Pathetic Experience and worst Customer Service

I love the furniture from this store but I’m disappointed with the delivery timeline they provide. It’s been 3 months and I haven’t receive my dining table. Delivery time it’s 4-7 weeks and the sales person Syed promised us that it will be delivered less than that time. They keep calling me with excuses about some of my order is damage, and finally they schedules a delivery, but they never showed up. I keep calling the store and they never answered.

Abdullah was very helpful and not overbearing at all. He addressed our questions and needs when we asked and left us to ourselves afterwards. This was perfect for us. We didn't feel rushed or anything at all.

Sayed and Shiry made the experience easy and pleasant. Shiry specifically is an excellent saleswoman - one of the best we’ve encountered of the 6 furniture stores we’ve visited this weekend. She didn’t push anything on us; it felt like we sold ourselves on the mattress she helped us find. Ashley Store Corporate - if you’re reading this - you need to seriously consider elevating her to a regional manager and/or traveling training manager - her demeanor, knowledge, and charm were low effort and genuine. I can confidently say we wouldn’t have purchased the mattress if she hadn’t talked us through the options.

My fiance and I went to look for furniture for our new apartment and Mohammed helped us get all the new furniture we need for our new home for ourselves and our kids! It was easy and a great experience. Really nice store with great furniture and great staff.

This is an edited review as my first one had four star and now it’s two! I went to the store to be greeted by an associate named Sarah. She seemed over friendly and was keen to know if I was there to check something specific so that she could provide us directions! I mentioned what I was looking for and added that we would like to checkout some items but do not need any help. She did not seem to be convinced and inquired about my name which was annoying but I did share it with her anyway! So while we as a family were checking out some stuff she very conveniently steps in again and starts talking. We shared again that we were looking to add a loveseat to the sofa we currently have that was bought back in 2019 and she started to play her tactics saying she could look for it in the inventory for availability and insisted on sharing our number which we eventually did. Upon coming back home we texted her the model number and no response from her! I am wondering what motive do these associates fulfill by being over friendly and taking details and not responding while sounding over promising during personal interactions! 💁 The rating is because of my personal experience at the store however, I love their furniture and variety they have to offer.

My experience with this Ashley furniture store started off with a friendly greeting and hello. That was the end for customer service. I was approached by Sarah and told her I wanted to look around for a dining room table. Upon coming across another piece of furniture. First, I was told by the desk associate wait on Sarah she will know? I waited a few minutes as Sarah was on the phone. I then asked her about a piece of wall furniture in the back of the store. She asked me to bring it to the front or show her the item description. Definitely wasn't interested in assisting me. When I walked to the back the furniture didn't even have a sales tag. As Sarah had made the comment to me, "Everything is on sale." At that point I decided my $5K budget good be used where customer service wasn't determined by your skin color. It was clear they weren't comfortable with my shade. As I walked back to the front of the store, I saw Sarah talking with another customer. What a disappointing experience.

He and his extremely professional general sales manager, Shiry, took an enormous amount of time assisting me with picking out the perfect ensemble to furnish my home. Mohammad was very patient and helpful. Most furniture stores feel very sales driven. I spent over an hour going back and forth over the configurations for a modular couch and he waked me through everything. Highly recommend!

Refused to sell us four counter height chairs for a total of about $240 unless we spent $1000 on a mattress. Salesman said that shipping on the chairs would be $99 unless we picked them up from their warehouse in Fredericksburg. We were willing to wait for the chairs to be delivered to the store and pick them up there. Still refused to sell. Will never visit this store or order from them again. Not sure what it was about us that warranted this treatment. Fifteen minutes later we got a fantastic deal on a sectional at a much higher end furniture store. Would have gladly given Ashley that money for a sectional we saw there that we liked had we been treated better. They have lost us as customers forever. I

Bad experience after sales.Though protection plan has the policy to cancel for any reason within first 30 days of purchase, store manager didn’t want to help regarding the cancellation.Seems they don’t care after the sales is done .Really? All though store got decent rating , I would strongly suggest all to read lowest reviews too .I had to call the store multiple times regarding delivery and my last item is yet to be delivered. Worst of all store Manager at the store possess rude customer service. Wish I could rate minus ZERO.

I bought a bed with mattress. I was sent wrong bed two times and they made me buy box spring which i was not needed. I came to store and talked to the sales associate who sold me the bed accepted that the bed I received is not the right one. I talked to the manager shiry regarding this. She does not want to exchange the bed even though she acknowledged that I received the worng bed. She was so rude and unhelpful. She doesn’t want me to help at all. I never experienced such a horrible customer service before. Stay away from this store. Make sure your order before paying. I am never going back to Ashley again in my life. I was going to buy the furniture for my entire new house but now i will never buy. The store employees were apologetic to me but the store manager shirry was the worst. She just doesn’t want me to help at all.

We bought a bed from them a week ago, their sales person eneterd the wrong item number (even i told him to make sure while entering). I ordered with 2 storage drawers but they delivered a plain one. Now they are not taking this case serious and not helping us at all. Their customer service is really pathetic. And the manager there SHIRY was too rude and she was not helping us. Never ever gonna buy anything from them in future. I wanted to buy whole furniture for my new house. But now i will never going back there. Pathetic service.

If I can give them ZERO I will, worst after sale customer service, their sales people needs more traning “too pushy” , delivered 4 items one item damaged they replace it and also delivered it scratched second time, the couch delivered with 3 major scratches. Their warehouse house team beyond rude like the want to cover their mistakes by raising their voice, knowing if they received the same items for them self the way I received them they will ask to exchange it or return it. I love Ashly furniture but if they keep their system the same way they will sooner or later loses their business.
