Suzette greeted us at the door with a lovely smile. She allowed us to walk the floor without hovering, which I especially loved because it gave my husband and I some time to look around and discuss what we wanted. Suzette came back around about 15 minutes later and helped us pick our living room furniture and coffee table. Smooth and easy process. In and out within about an hour and a half. Thank you Suzette!

I came to Ashley to furnish my brand new apartment. From the moment I entered the store the staff was extremely helpful and kind. Alex, Shawn, Ebony, and Mrs. Robin were truly amazing. Alex helped me find the perfect pieces for my new place and Shawn helped me get the best deals they could offer. I want to give a special thank you to Ebony and Mrs. Robin for their patience, understanding, and knowledge. Without any of them, I don’t think I would have been able to walk out with my furniture. Terrible customer service, DO NOT deal with jack ,

I had an issue with a dresser, some of the drawers didn't close square. I'll make this short - they sent a tech, replaced the dresser, new dresser same problem, sent tech, ordered new drawer, tech installed, still bad, sent another replacement dresser which has no issues. At no time did I feel pressured to keep what I had or get any attitude about asking them to make it right. Extremely happy with the customer service and responsiveness. I like the furniture too.

My husband and I recently moved from NY to VA and it hasn't been the smoothest transition to say the least. We had issues with the Ashley store in NY and Suzette helped us tackle every single issue/hang up we had with the patience of Ghandi and while being friendly and understanding throughout the entire process. We also had issues with our financing bank (not us, banking hangup) and Suzette was in OUR corner, helping us navigate that every step of the way. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. We had a million things going on and her calm, caring attitude really put me at ease. She, as well as Shawn and Robin (both friendly and helpful), helped us get a great mattress and bedset. 10/10 great experience and I'll be recommending this Ashely store as well as Suzette to everyone needing furniture in Norfolk :)

Very nice sales people, Jim was very helpful! The delivery service on the other hand…they failed to deliver my couch…TWICE and did not notify me until 9:15 pm the first night and never contacted me the second night! Then when they reschedule you, you are put last on the delivery schedule, so you are still in limbo as to whether or not you’ll actually get your furniture delivered that day either. Don’t expect an easy or on time experience and prepare for rescheduling. I still don’t have my couch after two failed deliveries!

BUYERS BEWARE! This was my first and definitely will be my last experience shopping with Ashley. I purchased 5.1k worth of furniture from this store. On the day of the delivery the delivery team didn’t have the appropriate equipment to assemble my furniture, which is absolutely absurd when your customers pay for white glove delivery, and my delivery was delayed over an hour as they hand to go get the proper equipment to assemble my furniture. When they finally arrived, they were unprofessional and incompetent. What they did put together wasn’t finished properly nor placed in the correct space. When asked to place furniture in the correct spot they argued it wouldn’t fit to avoid having to correct there mistakes and complained about how they were behind on time with their deliveries. Not my problem! I paid for a service it should be done correctly. When we finally get to my bedroom set, the slats were broken and the bed had to be sent back. After going through an unnecessarily difficult process to get a new bed sent in a timely manner I opted for a refund. After countless calls and messages, I finally spoke with the manager Sean and was told the refund would be returned to the debit card at time of purchase. After waiting weeks, another set of endless calls, and multiple trips to the store, I am finally told that I will not be receiving a refund back to my debit card and instead they altered my financial agreement without my knowledge or consent to make it so I financed less, to avoid having to give me the difference back on my card. Unethical business practices and no integrity! The furniture that we did keep is way overpriced for the quality. Save your money and shop somewhere else. Once they have your money they no longer care about you or the quality of service they provide. I will never shop here again and will tell everyone I know to shop elsewhere. Will also avoid their sister store Grand furniture.

I placed an order on 07/04. I was told the item would be arriving between 07/23-07/24. I had to keep calling the store for an update. Then I receive an update (because I called several times) that my item would only be arriving towards the end of August. I speak with the associate who helped me place the order, who is a great associate, and he explains that my order will be expedited. I was supposed to receive my item this coming Saturday 08/09. I just received a call stating that my furniture arrived broken and now I’m gonna have to wait for it to be reordered and for a new arrival that God knows when it will be here. The most “interesting” part is that everyone is so friendly when you want to buy from them, but if you have one complaint, they don’t even let you speak or want to hear you. Now, I will most likely have to keep calling the store because they don’t even care to keep you posted.

I want to highlight how fantastic this location is, primarily because of the outstanding Sasha Guevara-Mendoza! I needed assistance with something, and Sasha went above and beyond to help me. A couple of years ago, I made a purchase at this Ashley Furniture Warehouse and needed to find the instructions to identify the screws required for assembling the piece. Sasha exceeded my expectations by locating the instructions and emailing them to me. Sasha truly deserves a raise, and the recognition for her outstanding customer service.

Christine was great with getting me in touch with Wayne , who was amazing with helping me and my wife get a recliner for her. And Robin was Amazing as well!!

We can’t thank Jen Blackwell at the Virginia Beach Blvd location enough! We went in to the store feeling hopeful but not overtly optimistic we’d find forever pieces for our home, but Jen helped make this process so smooth, at the end of a day of pushy salespeople. We ended up with a cocktail coffee table and the Rawcliffe sectional, and picking them out to final purchase lasted less than an hour total. I hope to not need to get more big pieces of furniture in the near future, but Jen is going to be the first person I text if I do.

The sales people say anything to get a sale and delivery is horrible. It is like pulling teeth trying to get the item purchased delivered (even when it's on the showroom floor).

The TV unit we bought was broken twice, they came and replaced it and the 3rd one came in the same shape. We call them and they say they will get back to us but they never do. This is too much, be a little respectful to the customer. Why haven't you solved our problem for how many months?!!!!

I recently wrote a review about having a great experience- I was wrong. The shopping process was great. Before we signed and purchased the couch, we were torn between two. We decided on the one we did, that was $2,000 more expensive than the other, because our sales associate told us we’d have the couch the first week of June (two weeks after purchase). We called back today to check on the status of the delivery and he informed us that it actually wouldn't be delivered until mid-July (7 weeks after purchase). We got rid of the couch we owned in anticipation of the date he told us. We would not have made this purchase had we known the true wait time. No refunds allowed until 8 weeks of waiting. So we then went back and payed an additional $600 in order to get a couch that was actually available in a week from today. Although we had a great initial experience, I’m really disappointed in the situation we found ourselves.

We started at the Ashley outlet but couldn’t find what we were looking for so he met us across the street at the Ashley’s and showed us multiple options. My experience with Jen was fantastic! I arrived in the early afternoon looking for a specific dining room table. She was extremely helpful as I asked questions about the size, color, etc., which can sometimes be a rare commodity when dealing with customer facing employees. I departed and continued to shop at other stores, but felt so strongly about her excellent service that I actually came back to the store to tell her in person that I went in another direction and purchased somewhere else. As we wrapped up that conversation, I mentioned off-the-cuff that I had been checking the online price of an Ashley accent chair for weeks to see if it ever went on sale (it never did, including President's Day.) She was kind enough to tell me that online prices sometimes don't reflect in-store sales, so she looked it up and was able to find a significant discount, and I bought the chair. I appreciate her diligence and going the extra mile to help me and was very happy to give her my business.

Our experience was amazing from beginning to end. As soon as we walked in, Jim greeted us with a warm welcome. We told him exactly what we were looking for and he guided the way. Told me about the high performance fabric which led us to the perfect couch. It was everything we wanted. It had pet and family friendly fabric. The sectional was a module design so we can add and rearrange it to our liking. Lastly, the ink color was a bonus. My husband and I are a sucker for the color blue. Since my husband wasn't with me to finalize the sale, we had to come back. Jim was quick to answer my questions and reassured us of our purchase. I originally ordered a couch with two daybeds attached but was delivered the couch by itself. The movers really struggled to get the couch up my stairs to the second floor, and the couch itself is rather large so I declined having the movers bring the other couch and I kept the couched that was delivered. Fast forward a couple of months, and now with the holiday season here, I’m having guests come over and complain that I paid too much for a couch that has nowhere to put their feet! I contacted the store and the customer care line and relayed my guests feedback and they accommodated me with a $500 gift certificate so I can buy an ottoman of my choosing! This place has great salesmen ship. But delivery department is terrible, I ordered a king size bed frame and a king sized mattress that took me actively calling their delivery department to place my order after I was told they'd call me within 48hrs to schedule. Then they told me I was scheduled to recieve both my mattress and bed frame but on delivery they had only scheduled me for the bedframe so now I have a bedframe and no mattress while I have to wait for the mattress to show up. And to top it off they don't tell you times or let you schedule it so if you can't be there you're SOL and have a redelivery fee. Never buying from here again and I'm filing a complaint with the BBB since they can not do their jobs.

Kathy Ross is very unprofessional, having to deal with the furniture I purchased she lied, was rude, ignored my attempts to reach out, and lied about her hours in office. On May 12, I bought a new couch from Ashley Furniture for over 1,000$ Three months later, despite only my husband and I using it, the cushions started to show noticeable wear, indicating poor quality. I submitted a service request to replace the cushions, ** also we had two technicians come out to examine the couch the first guy said the springs needed to be replaced while the second guy said the springs were just fine **but after a few months, they only sent some of the necessary parts. The delivery was mishandled, with no notification, a ripped package, and the cushions left outside in the rain for hours. After waiting over a few months for replacements, they were unusable. When I requested a refund or exchange, they initially refused. The manager, Kathy, ignored my calls and emails, redirecting inquiries elsewhere in the office. After prolonged back-and-forth, they agreed to exchange the couch. We opted for a different model but in the same white color. However, they delivered the wrong couch color, and my husband unknowingly accepted it in my absence. Upon realizing the error, the office claimed they couldn't pick it up that day, requiring me to call back to reschedule. Despite my daily calls for a month, they kept passing me around, providing conflicting information and refusing to resolve the issue. Frustrated and pushed to the limit, I threatened legal action. Kathy then denied any record of my purchase or complaints, falsely claiming it was her first time hearing about the issue. Only after locating the physical paperwork did she agree to refund my money due to selling us a couch that was never in stock

Chad, the salesman, was very helpful in finding me the exact sleeper sofa I wanted at the right price. He was also informed as to what was in stock where, and how soon it would take. He went over all of their policies with me. However, I do not agree with the pressure to post reviews before leaving the store and actually receiving the furniture. The furniture came in perfect condition at the appointed time. I love the quality. The delivery drivers were courteous. I paid the $99 delivery fee to have them install the legs for me and bring it into the house instead of out on the porch. The delivery service could use some improvement. I was reminded often that I must give 72 hours notice to change my appointment, no exceptions. An extra $99 fee is charged if so. 72 hours seems unreasonable. Also, I was texted to call the delivery phone number to set up an appointment, but when I tried to call that number an hour later, no one answered, with no voicemail, just several disconnections.

On Aug 4th my husband and I purchased a new sectional. Our salesperson promised that the pieces would come from a NC warehouse to the local warehouse within 7 to 10 days and then be delivered within a few days after, just not on a Monday or Tuesday. We called 10 days later to follow up, and no one understood why he would promise that. Our furniture was backordered. We drove to the store that day. Spoke to the assistant manager in person and he confirmed it wasn't available, wasn't sure why the salesperson said that, but still stuck up for his employee. Promised the manage would reach out to us after he day off. He would call us by noon the next day to let us know what he found out on his own. That was 8 days ago. Still no update. Still no couch. I wouldn't have bought a couch from them if I knew it wasn't available for immediate delivery. The salesperson lied. And the leadership team hasn't made any effort to reach us, despite leaving several messages. Terrible customer service.

SECONDLY, WE ALSO PURCHASED A SLEEPER SOFA FROM THEM THAT CAME WITH A LOT OF DISCOLORATION AND DELIVERY SUGGESTED TO GET IT CLEANED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE CLEANER WAS SCHEDULED IN A COUPLE OF DAYS; THEN WE REACHED OUT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER A COUPLE DAYS HAS PASSED AND CLEANER NEVER SHOWED UP. WE WERE TOLD THE CLEANER HAS US SCHEDULED NOT UNTIL 2 WEEKS LATER. SO OBVIOUSLY WE CAN'T USE THE SOFA UNTIL IT'S CLEANED. WE KEEP GIVING ASHLEY CHANCES BECAUSE WE LIKE THEIR PRODUCTS. WE CAME BACK AND PURCHASED A $400 COFFEE TABLE WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP IN A WEEK THAT'S WHY WE BOUGHT IT. AFTER A WEEK WE NEVER GOT A CALL FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING THE STATUS OF THE ORDER. SO WE WENT AHEAD AND CALLED THEM. CAME TO FIND OUT, THERE WAS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND OUR ORDER IS NOW NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL IN THE NEXT 3 WEEKS TENTATIVELY. AS WE ASKED THEM TO JUST CANCEL OUR ORDER, WE WERE TOLD THAT WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 20% CANCELLATION FEE. OUR SALESPERSON TRIED TO HELP US BUT EVEN THEY WEREN'T AWARE ABOUT THE MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND NOBODY FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTIFIED US ABOUT THE CHANGES IN THE STATUS OF THE ORDER. WE JUST CONSTANTLY RUN INTO ISSUES WITH COMMUNICATION ABOUT PRODUCT AVAILABILITY/STATUS. WE WANTED TO FURNISH OUR NEW HOUSE WITH ASHLEY'S FURNITURES BECAUSE OF QUALITY BUT WE ALWAYS HAVE TO DEAL WITH HEADACHES DUE TO BEING UNPROFESSIONAL WHEN IT COMES TO UPDATING THEIR CLIENTS ABOUT STATUS/SCHEDULE. WHICH RUINS SOME OF OUR PLANS. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

We moved to Virginia in February and started looking for a home. We had several hopeful prospects, but some fell through. We found a house and needed a table for the kitchenette. Many furniture stores later, we walked in to Ashley’s Home Furniture VB and found Jim at the front. His easy kind nature is what drew us to letting him help us. I usually avoid the sales people when I walk into a store. But, Jim made me and my husband feel comfortable and he helped us find the perfect table for us. We’ve been back two other times to get accessories for our home and today we went to look for a leather couch with side tables. I highly recommend working with Jim. I want to make a final update to my recliner return. Ashley returned my recliner and extended warranty. This is what I had wanted, but I also wanted to get a different recliner that better fit my needs. I have found that recliner at Ashley and hope to purchase it today. Ashley came thru in the end and did what should have been done from the beginning. I credit them for that. I would have thought they would have been more proactive in making sure that I purchased my replacement from Ashley, but they seem almost disinterested in selling the replacement. I am going to the Ashley store today in hopes of completing the exchange by purchaseing the recliner. **************************************** I am updating my review. I just had the original recliner removed. I was told to go to the store yesterday to choose a new recliner. Unfortunately we went to the store and were ignored for about 45 minutes. I would like to purchase the new recliner, but I need to know that the accountvwas properly credited in order to purchase the new chair. I want to thank the Customer Service Department for stepping up and helping me. I am a 68 year-old disabled senior. I purchased an Ashley "Ludden" manual "rocker recliner" from the Ashley online store. I had assumed the recliner would be like most recliners I had used in the past, but I was wrong. While the recliner looks great, it is very unstable and rocks back and forth with a feather touch. It is nearly impossible for me to get out of the chair as moves about while attempting to climb out. It only has 2 positions, rocking and fully reclined. It just wasnt a safe chair for me. I reieved the chair past weekend (April 7) and called about returning to reselect. I did not want a refund, I just wanted a better, non rocking recliner and willing to pay for it. Nobody I spoke with wanted to help. Even though this chair was new and undamaged they would not exchage it. I drove to the Ashley store and was told that online purchases, after 72 hours are not returnable or exchangeable AND that Grand Furniture has nothing to do with Ashley online store (even though all the paperwork online says "property Grand Furniture"). I did not feel my request was out of line. The only other option I had was write a review on Google No sooner than 1 hour after submitting the review I received a call from Ashley/Grand Furniture offereng to pickup the recliner so I could choose another. This was the correct line of action for this case. I was not looking for a refund, just to exchage a recliner less than 1 week old. I am now waiting for the recliner to be picked up tomorrow (Friday April 19) and a phone call to let me know who I should see about choosing a new chair (I know which recliner I want, I just want the paperwork to be done correctly). So far I am very happy with Ashley's customer service and will update this review upon receiving my new recliner)

Not military friendly. They do not honor their warranty. I moved to Maryland due to the military and Ashley furniture will not honor their warranty to replace a sagging mattress. If you are in the military and might move, buy from another furniture store!

Mr Shawn Glynn was exceptional and provided great information on the different couches they had available. I went to the Ashley outlet with a couch in mind that I saw online. However, it was discontinued. Mr. Wes and Shawn told me about having something similar and newer across the the street at their ASHELY home store. Shawn was very patient with me, as I FaceTimed my husband on the phone. He went over pricing and the current promotions. Loved working with Shawn and Wes! Definitely will coming back!
