My husband and I had the worse experience here! We were followed and HOUNDED, by Lindsay, who couldn’t take the hint that we didn’t want to deal with a pushy sales person! Not only was she pushy, she was very condescending when talking to us. We then experienced Jad/Jax another very pushy salesman. Even though there were some furniture sets we maybe would have bought at Ashley, due to their pushy sales tactics we left and went to Rooms to go. Where we purchased an entire living room set up from them! Rooms to go and Haynes are much better stores to shop from where the salespeople aren’t pushy or rude!
Mr. Ben Jones from the Virginia Beach location was the best. He helped my daughter and I find exactly what she needed for her brand new, first ever apartment. This apartment has a unique setup. Mr. Jones listened to my daughter describe what she was looking for as well as the specific dimensions she needed and the budget she had to work with. He found exactly what she was looking for even down to the color. Mr. Jones was an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you, Mr. Jones for your everything you did. We also had Rosa check us out. She added the final touch of happiness, accuracy, and made our checkout process painless and easy. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had at a furniture store. We will be back!!

We moved to Virginia in February and started looking for a home. We had several hopeful prospects, but some fell through. We found a house and needed a table for the kitchenette. Many furniture stores later, we walked in to Ashley’s Home Furniture VB and found Jim at the front. His easy kind nature is what drew us to letting him help us. I usually avoid the sales people when I walk into a store. But, Jim made me and my husband feel comfortable and he helped us find the perfect table for us. We’ve been back two other times to get accessories for our home and today we went to look for a leather couch with side tables. I highly recommend working with Jim. He will help you find what you need. We will be back I’m sure.

He had all the answers to questions we asked about mattresses, and let us know what the best selling furniture was, whether it was in stock and he explained all the possible discounts. Made buying furniture, quick and easy. We would gladly ask for him again.

The sales person was nice, but stopped there. The delivery charge is outrageous, just to deliver to your door. The delivery promise of some items was one month. It took two months. They also delivered the wrong item. Painful to fix.

My experience at this location today was with Chad. Very kind, very courteous, and very helpful. He made sure we got the latest possible price, including checking the online/corporate price. I would ask for him again on my next visit. The store is clean, although there are lots of fun artificial spills throughout, and the display furniture is well kept. We purchased the TV stand seen in the pictures.

I want to make a final update to my recliner return. Ashley returned my recliner and extended warranty. This is what I had wanted, but I also wanted to get a different recliner that better fit my needs. I have found that recliner at Ashley and hope to purchase it today. Ashley came thru in the end and did what should have been done from the beginning. I credit them for that. I would have thought they would have been more proactive in making sure that I purchased my replacement from Ashley, but they seem almost disinterested in selling the replacement. I am going to the Ashley store today in hopes of completing the exchange by purchaseing the recliner. **************************************** I am updating my review. I just had the original recliner removed. I was told to go to the store yesterday to choose a new recliner. Unfortunately we went to the store and were ignored for about 45 minutes. I would like to purchase the new recliner, but I need to know that the accountvwas properly credited in order to purchase the new chair. I want to thank the Customer Service Department for stepping up and helping me. I am a 68 year-old disabled senior. I purchased an Ashley "Ludden" manual "rocker recliner" from the Ashley online store. I had assumed the recliner would be like most recliners I had used in the past, but I was wrong. While the recliner looks great, it is very unstable and rocks back and forth with a feather touch. It is nearly impossible for me to get out of the chair as moves about while attempting to climb out. It only has 2 positions, rocking and fully reclined. It just wasnt a safe chair for me. I reieved the chair past weekend (April 7) and called about returning to reselect. I did not want a refund, I just wanted a better, non rocking recliner and willing to pay for it. Nobody I spoke with wanted to help. Even though this chair was new and undamaged they would not exchage it. I drove to the Ashley store and was told that online purchases, after 72 hours are not returnable or exchangeable AND that Grand Furniture has nothing to do with Ashley online store (even though all the paperwork online says "property Grand Furniture"). I did not feel my request was out of line. The only other option I had was write a review on Google No sooner than 1 hour after submitting the review I received a call from Ashley/Grand Furniture offereng to pickup the recliner so I could choose another. This was the correct line of action for this case. I was not looking for a refund, just to exchage a recliner less than 1 week old. I am now waiting for the recliner to be picked up tomorrow (Friday April 19) and a phone call to let me know who I should see about choosing a new chair (I know which recliner I want, I just want the paperwork to be done correctly). So far I am very happy with Ashley's customer service and will update this review upon receiving my new recliner)

Not military friendly. They do not honor their warranty. I moved to Maryland due to the military and Ashley furniture will not honor their warranty to replace a sagging mattress. If you are in the military and might move, buy from another furniture store!

Service Associates are typical sales personnel,have their best in mind not yours ... and if u like or want a product, you better hope you don't easily fall in love with it right away.. ordered a fining room SET , received the tables and chairs delivered perfectly fine. .. never received the matching console table or server.went back to store as was advised could purchase off the floor the items missing, manager unfortunately was not the same one as the day prior and refused to allow me to purchase anything but a flimsy wall mirror worth 1/3 of its price I paid. SMH. Good luck window shopping or good luck what you want or see to your liking actually being available to buy that day or at all. Joke

Warehouse called two days before expected delivery to tell me the middle piece of the sectional was discontinued. He said manager of the store will reach out to me. Here is to hoping that will actually happen. Will update soon (hopefully) Update- they made to come into store to get refund as I needed to show my card for some odd reason. I went and got couch is grey instead and they refunded the difference. Ben helped me sort it out. Thank you. Should arrive after a week or two I expect and I can update with the rest.

Upon entering the store, I was greeted warmly by Wes and served promptly. I generally dislike coming to furniture stores; however, I had a very positive experience and will certainly come back.
Awful experience. Purchased multiple items including a couch and an accent chair. The fabric was cheap and pilled within weeks of my purchase. When I reached out to my sales rep I was put off multiple times and told that my issue would be taken to management. Now I’m stuck with this furniture and no resolution because of course the warranty doesn’t cover pilled fabric. I feel like I was swindled. And this is after purchasing thousands of dollars worth of furniture. Even our tv console had to be repaired by my husband within two weeks of receiving it. Again, my sales rep and the store manager were non responsive and kept pushing me off. When I called customer service I was told there was nothing I could do. Great.

I bought a table and sofa chair from here. I tried to file a claim due to damage on the table. I got the run around even though I bought the warranty. Then the store gave me an email to send the info to. I sent the info and never got a response. When I called to follow up they said they don't have my claim number. That I would have to file again through email. This is ridiculous....they said they are going to contact me. We shall see, they didn't ask for contact info. So I guess try again for the claim on Monday.they never retur phone call or nothing if you buy from here never put the guarantee they lairs

Well… the store was great…BUT … we had a very inferior item that should never have been delivered in the severely damaged condition it was in! It had been “ repaired” prior to its being sent out to us… I’ll be glad to share pictures! Now as far as the store…Addison was patient knowledgeable and did good deals for us old ladies. Office staff were very helpful too! And the wrong piece was delivered today but Aundra went above and beyond to get us set up to have the correct piece delivered and at the same price! We purchased a sectional and ottoman from Ashley in 2019, with a 5 year warranty. We have two seats that have fallen in, from normal wear and tear, and they immediately denied our claim. At first, they tried to tell us our warranty was only good for 1 year. We had to send in proof, pictures of our warranty brochure, to prove we indeed have a 5 year warranty. Apparently, the coverage/warranty company has changed, since we originally purchased our furniture, so things were confusing. They called and said it would cost us $69 for an "inspection", and then we'd have to pay for labor and whatever else; they said it could be upwards of $400 or more to fix our poor quality Ashley Furniture. That is insane, as it should be totally covered by the warranty we purchased. I couldn't be more disgusted, their warranty coverage is a SCAM! And of course, they refused to reimburse our purchase of the warranty; they said we can ask for store credit, once our 5 years are up! We will not be buying anything from them again.

BEWARE OF ASHLEY!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!! This place is an absolute nightmare!! I ordered a living room set and a couple bedroom sets. They deliver the wrong couch 2 times and had me wait over 7 months for my bedrooms. When I tried to cancel they wanted to charge me 20% for a restocking fee on items that were never sent. The management is so disorganized they couldn’t find our order for over 45 minutes.
The whole experience was awesome! Drew Griffin made it very easy to pick out multiple pieces while answering all my questions. Ensured we got the best price and helped set up delivery. He communicated and kept me informed throughout the entire process and checked on my satisfaction after delivery. I will definitely shop with Drew again. The furniture is top notch as well received many compliments on it.

I am very unhappy with Ashley Furniture, I purchased some furniture in March 2023, and at the present May 18, I have not received my furniture. Once I spoke with a gentleman, he informed me it would be another month. Poor customer service I was never explained it would be 2 or more months before I received my merchandise. I was offered half of my delivery, keeping in mind that I can't pay half of a bill. Maybe Ashley doesn't want my business A Mr. Randy Bridgman did, in fact, contact me providing wow customer service. So, a special shout out to him. Acknowledging my purchase and the length of time I have been waiting. With that being said, let see how long before I receive my merchandise.
We have had an absolute amazing experience @ Ashley HomeStore Virginia Beach location. Wes Woodall was the man who assisted us and we really can’t say how much we appreciate him and the work he put in for us. We had a slight issue come up with some furniture we ordered and both he and Dustin made sure it was corrected above our expectations. Wes also spent a lot of time with us, answering our questions, finding out a variety of information, and taking measurements to ensure we got exactly what we were wanting. He was patient, kind and extremely understanding. We will be back here for all of our future furniture needs. PS: I should add we went to numerous furniture stores before coming here and this by far was our best experience. We are two people who get overwhelmed and anxious in sales settings and it was the most easy going experience we’ve ever had.

Place is TRASH! Some weird girl named Mo or whatever kept stalking me after I said I was JUST LOOKING. “Manager” named Dillain or Dustin something like that. Approached me as well stocky guy with chewing tobacco in his mouth what kind of company is this? Very much unprofessional and will NOT be spending my hard earned dollars there. Plus isn’t it against the law to have tobacco products consumed on a work site especially in the building. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Will REPORT to Virginia department of labor. Distasteful and unprofessional.

The family was visiting for our Uncle's Naval retirement party. We had decided beforehand that we wanted his gift from all of us back in Ohio to be something of comfort. We came to this Ashley store in search of a recliner. The staff was busy mopping when we came in but still acknowledged our group and gave us time to browse the recliner section. The four of us couldn't quite decide of what would be best for the old man. As we were debating amongst ourselves what the right purchase should be one of the associates paused from their janitorial responsibilities to offer us help. The associate allowed us to all test drive the chairs at our comfort and patiently listened to all four of our demands for our Uncle's gift. Thankfully seeing that we weren't going to agree, this associate starting thinking outside the box for a compromise. (Didn't catch the gentleman's name but we are grateful for your customer service.) He turned us on to the Ricmen 3 piece recliner set. This set had the recliner we were looking for built in to a perfect gift for our now vet. Kudos Ashley and your staff for being patient and helpful along with knowledgeable to a situation that almost led to us scrambling to find another gift because we all couldn't cooperate and decide. We paid a little more for the set but our Uncle was thrilled! Great product and great staff! The party was everything he deserved for his sacrifices. Thank you again!

Drew Griffin was amazing! This was the third furniture store I went to in one day and every couch I had sat on had one thing missing that I had to have. I had lost hope. I came in and told Drew, sectional and soft. He told me he could save me some time and he knew what I wanted. I wasn’t sure how, when I wasn’t sure I even knew what I wanted and I had already dealt with salespeople in the previous two stores that weren’t helpful at all. But I’ll be damned the first couch he brought me to, fit my legs, was soft, wasn’t a hotel couch, had different sizes available, and a different color. As soon as I sat down, I knew it was perfect and checked all the boxes. He was amazing and saved me so much time.

We just made our third purchase at the store and could not be happier! I think the true test of a company is how they handle a situation when things go wrong. We had a little hiccup with the delivery time of our new bed and Ashley handled the situation beautifully! With each purchase, the customer service has been excellent, but on our most recent occasion they knocked it out of the park! Niklaus was amazing. Also, I highly recommend the warranty. We had a guest scratch our dining room table, but I filed a claim with the warranty and it was taken care of immediately and without any hassle. 5 stars!

Usually when you enter a furniture store, you’re bombarded with commissioned sales people hungry for their next meal. This wasn’t our experience at Ashley. In fact, only one associate even acknowledged our presence over the course of about 20 minutes, and that was just a simple “hello.” So, what started out as a nice change of pace actually ended up being an annoyance. The real reason for the lackluster rating is that the prices at Ashley are not marked. Sure, they show you the “was” price, but it has a big ol’ slash through it without any indication of the “now” price. I’m sorry, but I shouldn’t have to ask an associate every time I want to know the price on something. That’s just shady. I’ve worked commissioned sales, but never in a place that didn’t list a price. It’s up to the consumer to decide up front if a price is worth negotiating, not having to walk blindly into every transaction. And good luck selling to introverts. Needless to say, we didn’t buy anything. I guess my account with Ashley is going to eventually close on its own because we no longer have any desire to give them our business.

My initial review was for Ben Jones was so helpful and accommodating. The ladies in the office were a joy to work with and professional. He achieved a 5 star review. However, moving forward to today, our review of Ashley Furniture and their warranty partner, GBS, is a one star only because of Ben. We purchased the 5 year warranty. Two months after the one year warranty, the recliner level broke off. We called and placed a claim. To date, after many months, they are not honoring the claim because they stated it was not reported when it occurred. It was reported in March, we have followed up every single month/week and since so much time has passed, they denied the claim? They give you nothing but excuses and are non responsive, give you wrong information and then deny your claim without so much as a letter. The only reason I know it was denied was because of my follow up calls. Do not purchase the warranty!! Also, be sure that whomever delivers and installs your furniture that they do it correctly, if not, notify them on the spot or call the Ashley Store as soon as you see a problem. I say this because they didn't install the drawer slides correctly which have resulted in the drawers falling off the slide when you open them. Such an unprofessional installation, and then their lack of attention to customer complaints from the warranty company, I would not recommend a purchase from Ashley or GBS Warranty.

Reuben was fantastic , even though he was new he made us feel comfortable. We came in to buy a bed frame and he ended up working out a deal where we could afford the whole set. He price matched online and it went from 6000 to 4000! I highly recommend coming in and seeking him out for your furniture needs. All the staff in this location were friendly and efficient- including the ladies at the finance department (they helped us out a lot as well!) and the manager. No one made us feel pressured , or anxious the entire visit like other sales departments.

I’d like to give 0 star but I couldn’t. This place has the worst customer service, we had problems with our furniture 4 times and because we didn't opt for delivery, my husband and I had to return defective furniture 4 times, loading and unloading the truck, now we are having problems with the payment, they decided to give us a gift card from the store which we could deduct from our purchase amount, we made the full payment and left only the value of the gift card to be discounted and believe me, this has not been done yet and for the 5th time I've been on phone waiting for 25 minutes to try to solve my problem, all the attendants say they will return the call the next day or the next business day, but that doesn't happen. You should think twice before putting your money and time in this store, the salespeople are charming but the rest of the departments are horrible. They have no respect for at all for the customer.

Wes was our sales floor rep. He spent hours with us on the floor. He was never aggressive and checked in on us every once in a while asking if we had questions. He was very professional. We really enjoyed our experience at Ashley Furniture and after looking for a couch at several different stores, selected one of theirs.
Our sales representative Mercedes and her Supervisor Nick were extremely friendly and helpful. They didn't follow us around but were available when we were ready to make our purchase. We would definitely come back for our future furniture needs.

I went and shopped at Ashley when I first moved here 3 weeks ago because I loved their furniture back in Quebec where they sold it in "Meubles et nous". I was happy to see there was a store for theirs here. Suzette was really helpful and I was happy with my choices. Then, the problems started... The first delivery was done for every thing except the entertainment system and the dresser mirror which were supposed to come in 2-3 weeks later as previously mentioned when I bought everything. The delivery guys (subcontractors) brought the boxes in: 2 boxes were half opened and they mishandled the boxes by grabbing some with only one man instead of two, and clearly flipping them in a way that was not intended. Despite that, the furniture was 98% intact, so okay. BUT, when they tried to fit in the couches, they tried one half and after 2 pushes, said it wouldn't fit. I had to explain them how to fit the couch and when they couldn't understand, I had to go and do it myself... Both times... They caught a bug spray put by the owner and one of my couch is stained and sticky now... Two weeks later, I went to the store to ask about the entertainment system, because I had no news. I was told it would take an additional 3 weeks to get it. When I mentioned the original delay, they told me it was not so. I chose to exchange for the other entertainment system they had in stock and they were agreeable and didn't charge me the difference of price. Now, delivery date for the entertainment system came and the delivery team (subcontractors again) brought all the pieces, but didn't do the assembly. I told them they were supposed to, as I chose only furniture that would include the assembly. They called their supervisor which told them they were not supposed to do it. Then, we called the customer service of Ashley and they organized a VIP team to come in the same week to do the assembly. At that point, I am a bit disappointed but I understand and I am happy with the VIP team's appointment. VIP team comes in: REALLY professional. A big thank you to Jeff and Pedro. But, unfortunately an accident occurred and the entertainment system broke in pieces and needed to be exchange. They told me customer service would call me to schedule another date. It was Friday afternoon. No call. I figured they would call on Monday. Still no call. Tuesday afternoon, I called them and explained the situation. The lady on the phone was not kind (same as the one before when I called to confirm the VIP appointment as I had no hour scheduled and we were on the same day of the delivery). She told me we would schedule for Friday of this week (great!) but when I wanted to make sure it would be a VIP team again and to make sure there would be an exchange and an assembly, she just tried to get rid of me quickly by saying "yes" to everything. She informs me with a rude tone that if I am not there, there will be a 99$ fee (I haven't missed a delivery yet, so I am not sure why, looking at my file, she felt she needed to say that in that tone). Today, Friday (now 4th visit overall, and 3 days of work missed...), delivery team is scheduled to come between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. I received a call at 9:50 am saying they would be there in 15 min. Luckily, I was still at home so I went out to wait (as the entry door is not easy to see from the street). Now, 10:40 am, still no truck, I called them and they said it was in route and maybe had some delay. They arrived a few minutes later, brought the 2 piers but didn't have the bridge... Again, I am calling customer service, speaking with the supervisor now, informing him of the situation. Now, I have a VIP truck (hopefully for real!) coming Saturday 10th to exchange the broken bridge and do the assembly. Overall, not a good experience unfortunately...

Good experience. They initially delivered my furniture without the legs on January 3.. I wouldn't accept . Was looking forward to having the furniture and even didn't go to church to be there to receive the furniture. I Pastor a church so major disappointment on the expected day. However after receiving the furniture approximately 2 or 3 weeks later they refunded my delivery fee. That was good customer service.
Absolutely awful experience! I purchased over $5000 worth of furniture in May, was told it would take about 1-2 weeks to receive the furniture. I am still waiting for the rest of my delivery in Mid July. Received a broken bed frame and they have rescheduled on me 5 times. I have taken 5 days off work to be home for the delivery then they call last minute and say they can’t deliver it or it didn’t make it on the delivery truck. I will absolutely never shop at any Ashley’s again. Our salesman Corey was helpful at first, but I’ve been into the store several times to try to straighten out my order and he doesn’t even make an effort to help, not even a hello. I am so upset that I spent so much money on furniture that I haven’t even received Edit: we have been waiting since July for a refund for our base that got delivered broken. It’s been several weeks and haven’t heard anything.

Purchased a bedroom set the first week of April. Cost 5k. We told at purchase time it would be until May as some pieces were delayed. We were ok with the upfront notification. May came and went. Tried calling and kept being placed on hold. By mid June we finally spoke to someone who said there was one piece delayed and it would be another 2 weeks. No one has ever followed up or tried to reach out. It’s July now. We called again. This time someone pointed out that In the fine print of the contract it says they have 16 weeks to deliver. They are within that time. We were ONLy at 13 weeks. No apologies or desire to find a way to help. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone.Still no furniture.
Wes helped me out today and the experience was great. Haven't received any furniture yet but the sales team were very friendly and answered all my questions. Wes caught me as I walked in and tried to sneak by the group of sales people 😅 I already knew what I wanted to look at and he knew right where it was, offered to show me more if I was uncertain with my choice, and also waited patiently while I called my wife to make sure she had no questions and was okay with me making the choice without her there. Not worth it. I purchased… “purchased” a small eat in table April 23rd of 2022. I was told that delivery may take a little longer due to the pandemic. After calling every 2 weeks to receive an update on when the item will be here, I keep getting told that delivery is pushed back. We are now going into the second week of July and my item is now pushed back to the first week of august. They offer no explanation as to why this is the case. It’s disappointing. Why sell an item that they cannot produce? If you don’t have a year to wait for an item, I’d say shop elsewhere. I wish I could be leaving a review of the item I paid for however I’m leaving a review because I have no received it. It’s the middle of 2022… the pandemic no longer can be classified as a valid excuse to Ashley furnitures negligence.
My wife and I had a wonderful time shopping here. Suzette was a joy to work with and she helped us snag a great deal so I highly recommend Ashley's and Suzette as well for any of your home furniture needs. We will be back to look for more items for our home. Our only suggestion was the lighting was much lower in the dining room area so we had a difficult time assessing colors. Other than that, we had a nice experience here.

Mitchell was an amazing salesman. He did his job but he didn’t pressure me too much into buying something I didn’t want. He took his time trying to find me a good set at a good price. Ms. Debra and Nikki were both amazing as well. Although they didn’t help on the sales floor, their customer service skills were great. Ms. Debra explained everything I needed to know about credit options and pay offs. The great customer service didn’t end at the store but at the warehouse I met Ms. Stephanie who was a very pleasant lady to meet. Mr. Iz made sure he found a way for the furniture to fit in my husband’s truck since it couldn’t fit in my vehicle. His intuitive thinking skills saved me some money on transporting the furniture. It was towards the end of the work day and Donnell also came to assist with this process. We experienced NO ATTITUDES at all! I am more than thankful for all of these great people. Oftentimes people do a lot of complaining and not enough of expressing appreciation for those who go above and beyond so thank you, thank you!

Will never purchase furniture from here again. I purchased (paid in full, no financing) a sectional last April it didn't come in until September. It was supposed to be delivered but ihad to go pick it up or they were going to charge me for delivery. Within a few weeks the couch was creaking. Tech came out and the couch was replaced. Within a week the chase side of the sofa was creaking. Tech came out chase was replaced. Within a week the chase was creaking again. A tech came out and I told the warehouse I absolutely did not want the same couch bc I was not interested in dealing with the same issue every few weeks. Finally a reselect was approved. Couch was delivered and the delivery guys were awesome. But within a week, yup you guessed it, the couch is already creaking on a completely different couch that is barely sat on!

They said it was going to come in December, so we got rid of old dining table to make room for our new one. Once December came, they said the shipment has been delayed to February. February came around, still no table. When we called they said the table will be there in May. It is now May, and I called their costumer service line and they said delivery has been pushed back to mid-June. It seems to me like they just keep pushing the delivery date further and further. This is unacceptable! We have already gotten rid of our old table and have not had a table to eat on for the past 5 months! To wait 9 months for a table is RIDICULOUS. I will NEVER order from them again.

I have purchased my couches there, and am happy with the quality, however I'm not happy waiting 4/5 months for coffee table set while watching commercials promising otherwise.. Went to several furniture stores this week, arrived at Ashley Furniture store not expecting anything different. My husband and I were greeted by Mo, she was available for questions without being pushy and answered our question about sofa configurations and worked with us meeting our dimensions of our room. The furniture looks nice and it's very comfortable, but also well made.
Mitchell Jones helped me from the moment I stepped foot in the store was very welcoming. He showed me all around the store, helped my find exactly what I wanted. You’d be hard pressed to find customer service anywhere else like this!

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I ordered three pieces of furniture, all came damaged. It took three months to have new furniture deliver, this time two pieces were damaged. I agreed to a $200 refund from them to accept the damaged furniture, which took over five weeks for me to receive and only happened after I started making daily calls. The manager never did return my phone call. Stay away from this place.

We hadn’t been in the store before but needed a couple of furniture items for our new home. My wife fell in love with two pieces, much with the help of Ben Jones. He immediately approached us at the door and spent a decent amount of time helping us mix n match between two different sets that we liked. He was professional, approachable, kind, and didn’t push us at all to buy anything. We would definitely go back for future furniture needs.

We purchased a mattress set from Ashley Chesapeake, VA, but the box spring began sagging after 2 weeks of use. To resolve the issue, we revisited the store and were told to contact the main office for permission to exchange. We called the manufacturer (Sealy), who directed us to call Ashley warranty department. This department had no record of our purchase and instructed us to call sales and service, who then sent us to the main office where we were told that a refund could not be issued but possibly an exchange could be made. We were instructed to strip the bed and take photos of every side of both mattress and boxspring and email them to the provided address. Several days later, we were instructed to strip the bed again so a technician could come take a look at the problem. In the end, Ashley furniture issued an exchange. We went to Ashley Virgina Beach, Va, where Corey M. sympathized with our situation and explained which mattresses were best suited to our bodies and why. Corey answered our questions, addressed our concerns, made appropriate recommendations and gave us space to discuss and decide on our exchange. From the moment we walked in the door of Ashley Virginia Beach, and were greeted by Corey M, to his placing us in the capable and cheerful hands of Deborah W. who completed the transaction, we were well taken care of. We just bought a home and finding a quality couch that we both like had been really hard, we decide to look in Ashley furniture and immediately we are greeted by Miss Troy Lachut who asked us what style we were going for and pointed us in that direction and it was no pressure. We were able to walk around freely and sit on the couches without any pushy salespeople, every so often she would check to see if we had any questions. She was very knowledgeable about the prices and discounts and very personable, the manager “SUPERSTAR NICK” made sure we got the best warranty at a great price. We really felt like they cared about the service and making sure we got what we wanted at a great price. Recently, I bought a sofa chaise and oversized chair for my family room, which was a bit of a challenge, as it's a very small room. Chad, my sales representative, was very patient and helped me to find just what I wanted. Ms. Deborah and the other members of the office staff were very pleasant and helpful to work with as well. When I went back to to find end tables for my new funiture, Chad took his time and I was able to find just what I liked. Truly a nice experience and I would recommend Ashley's in Virginia Beach to anyone who is moving or just wants to "spruce up" things in their home!

My friends bought a temper-pedic bed from this Ashley and we hear about it all day and they have only had the bed for a month and a half. They say how uncomfortable it is and how they have the worst sleep ever and Ashley furniture won’t even take the bed back after they asked for it to be returned. They were told they could return the mattress after 30 days of trying it out and then Ashley furniture told them they could exchange it for another temper-pedic but they would rather not have any temper-pedic at all! They can’t through to the own to see if something can be done and their customer experience with them has been horrible. I’ve seen it daily how bad they have treated them as good customers. This Ashley furniture is horrible and they need to fix how they treat their customers!

First off, the salesman who worked with us when we bought the set no longer works for Ashley furniture. However this individual was extremely helpful and worked with us to find the best match for our bedroom. We settled on the Lettner King size bedroom set in gray. We got one king sized storage bed, two night stands, a chest of drawers and a dresser mirror combo. We bought this set back in June of 2021. The salesman told us we would be waiting "8-10 weeks for our furniture". 3 months later, in October, we were still waiting for the set. I had spoken with the Ashley furniture folks on the phone to get estimates on when our furniture would arrive. At that time they were able to deliver everything but the bed. We had just moved into our house finally and needed storage for all of our clothes, so I agreed to have the 2 nightsands, chest of drawers, and dresser combo delivered. This was a mistake. It is now March 2022 and we still have not received the bed. They send me a link every month or so explaining that due to covid 19 the bed still isn't available. We tried visiting the store where they told me the same thing. At least someone there gave me a phone number for a district manager named Kathy Ross. Well Kathy is still on vacation for christmas apparently every time I call her phone number and leave a message. I say this because her voicemail actually states she is still on her Christmas break. Last time I called it was February and still no call back from the elusive Kathy. I call the Ashley furniture help line every time i recieve a new "update". They tell me it will be 4-6 weeks every time. When I ask if I can return the other furniture now, they say they only can cancel the bed or that I can continue to wait. So now I can either wait for god knows how long for a bed, or I can try to find something else that might match this set. Well we have looked and there are hardly any king sized beds which even come close to the color or style of this set. Ashley won't take back the furniture which was already delivered because it has been used. I would like to just have a bed at this point and not have to sleep on the floor. It's been 10 months since we ordered this furniture and 7 months of sleeping on the floor on a mattress. They will probably tell you 8-10 weeks but I assure you it will be much longer. Until Ashley can figure out how to deliver what they are selling to people, I can not recommend them to anyone.

I have to admit that I’m no fan of furniture stores or car dealerships - they feel too “salesy” and are typically way too much pressure - I just don’t have the patience for it. So, when my husband suggested furniture shopping, I was none too excited. We enter Ashley Furniture and are immediately greeted as we step through the door and asked if we needed help, “Nah, I’m good. We are just killing time.” As we wander around for a bit, we are then approached by Khyler Campbell, the salesman that I am certain is about to feel my wrath from having to be in this place. He was polite, professional and took my glare in stride. He asked if we were looking for anything in particular, gave us a quick layout of the store and said he’d give us some time to browse and would check back in if we had any questions. Okay, cool…. He wasn’t so bad, maybe I can get through this. After a bit, my husband chased him down with a few questions and after speaking with him for some time, I have to admit this isn’t bad at all. Khyler was informative, personable, easy and funny (which is huge for us) - we thoroughly enjoyed him and the experience, despite my initial resistance. We left that evening with 4 rooms of furniture awaiting delivery and have also agreed that we’d love to have him and his family for dinner! If you are looking for a great furniture buying experience, ask for Khyler! The ladies at the service and financing desk are amazing as well. Deborah got us taken care of in a flash - just in time for our son (14) to make it to his first date (It’s not a date, Mom) on time! I kinda wish I had more rooms to furnish - lol.

Update: I called the store again and they told me our big chair was in stock (no one bothered to call us and tell us) and our bed was pushed back until May. I am so mind blown that business is being conducted this way. Also, the email the you gave me is invalid. I tried twice and someone else tried for me and it kept bouncing back. Please give your customers a valid email. I use to really like Ashley furniture. We have always had a great experience until recently. In December we purchased quite a few items for our new home with the promise that everything would be delivered or available for pick up first week of February. A week before the expected time frame, we had to reach out to our sales rep for an update and he Informed us nothing is arriving until mid March. We wouldn’t be so frustrated if we weren’t promised a time frame and mid March is when I’m expecting a baby. It’s VERY inconvenient. I’ve called the store and customer service and they keep giving me the run around and then I found out another part of my order won’t arrive until April. It’s really horrible customer service to 1. not update your customers on any changes and 2. To promise a time frame when you can’t follow through.
I was trying to get into the store with a wheelchair and Your employee Isaiah Tazwell 3rd help me into the store He was very knowledgeable about the products on the floor once we entered. He showed me the exact piece of furniture I wanted, but the color wasn’t available, He volunteered to check the buffets out on the screen, but there wasn’t any in Cherry. He was very very helpful. I was happy to have such great Customer Service. I will be back, and I will tell my family and friends about the service rendered.

I ordered furtinure in December 2021 and paid in full for items for delivery and was made to come in store for pick up floor model in February 2022, I was advised second chair was out of stock and found that same chair on Amazon with delivery, I had a total of 7 items and have only received one item that was a floor model and was advised a second time I had to do store pick again for second piece for floor model while waiting for delivery of new items since December when I asked for discount was only going to be given the 10% discount. I simply called my bank and initiated a dispute.NEVER BUY OR SHOP AT ASHLEY’S FURNITURE! THE WORSE!!

The in house financing is a bait and switch and takes advantage of young, uninformed people who have no one to advocate for them. It screws them financially when others are trying to help.
UPDATES: within a couple of hours of posting my frustrations here regarding my concerns and complaints, Ashley's reached out with concerns about my multiple experiences and have more than addressed even the 5 year old matters resolving everything actually! This is honestly the first time I can say that a company cares and I'm not just another number on some spreadsheet. Based on the response I will continue to do business with them and appreciate the time and effort spent on earning my little piece of business back! I'm not some big spender or have some disposable budget and they still spent the time to fix things....truly impressed and if you find yourself having concerns like mine, give them a chance to fix it like I did and I think you'll feel the same way 😊👍 This is round 2 of dealing with the liars Ashley's furniture store continues to employ over a 6 year span of issues. My daughter went here to replace the dresser they oversold us 6 years ago because two of the drawers broke less than 2 years of purchasing as she really likes the look of the dresser. I paid $261 and that was after a 30% discount in 2016....now in 2022 they told my daughter I paid $900 for 6 years ago and can sell it to her today half off for $400.... So an old outdated model has more than tripled in cost and you're doing her some "favor" by giving her the price of $400??? Stop scamming people and be honest. Unacceptable, unappreciated, inappropriate, ridiculous, rude, etc.....it's mind blowing how you are still in business, your companies training on lying seems to be going strong! Feel free to see my review from 5 years ago when the dresser bed frame I bought had issues upon arrival and then dealing with customer service, that was the same thee ring circus of events as this is now today.... unbelievable. How do you all sleep at night taking advantage of people during such a difficult time for everyone especially when they are considering giving you repeat business on a second chance?!?! Stay away from this company period!!!!!

I'd like to give special recognition to Sales Associate Wes Woodall. We visited the Virginia Beach store a couple of weeks ago with a goal of finding a sectional couch, but we had some very specific size limitations. Wes spent quite a bit of time with us trying to (1) identify pieces that were currently in stock, and (2) match the in-stock pieces with our size specifications. He worked very hard to help us, and I appreciated his persistence. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find a sectional that would fit our space, but I truly wish we could have purchased something from him. He demonstrated excellent customer service!
A little overpriced. I’d say the quality of the furniture here is below average and cheaply made. The furniture looks nice but in reality it is cheaply and poorly made stuff. I can’t confidently say that all the furniture is second rate, but the prices didn’t tell me that I would have much value for my money here.

Not good saw a dresser online I wanted. Thought it was in the store but it wasn't. Benjamin said he had to order it and it could take 16 weeks. I either pick it up at the warehouse or pay 59$ to ship to my house. Went home back online free ship to my house just a few days
