I came to Ashley a little hesitant to purchase, because of what I had heard about the price of their furniture. I was met with an amazing sales associate by the name of Aquazia, who was knowledgeable and made me feel heard. I never felt like I was being pressured or upsold. This led to me purchasing a couch that I will love for many years to come. I would recommend this Ashley location in Williamsburg to anyone looking to purchase quality furniture in a comfortable environment.

The same manager who I met a few days earlier and was lying down on one of the mattresses. Again, the product and Rick were/are great!

**DO NOT USE THIS STORE** Hello, I want to begin by acknowledging that the staff has generally been friendly. I have used this location three times, and this is the first time I have experienced any issues. Unfortunately, the situation has escalated to a level that warrants serious concern. Over two weeks ago, I purchased a bedroom set and was assured it would be delivered on Black Friday. Black Friday came and went without a single call or update. When I contacted corporate, I was informed that the brick-and-mortar store operates on a different system. Fine. I then called the store twice; on the second attempt, someone finally answered. I explained the situation and was told my salesperson would return my call. I waited 3–4 hours with no response. I attempted to contact the store an additional four times with no answer. At that point, I gathered my family and drove to the store in person, hoping to speak with a manager because clearly no one was willing to pick up the phone. I spoke with the Team Lead, Joe, who apologized and assured me my delivery would instead arrive on Monday. I accepted this and explained my frustration at the lack of communication, as I have worked in sales for years and have never seen such disorganization. Today is Monday. Once again, I received no call from the delivery team, so I contacted the store yet again. A staff member informed me that the delivery would not be arriving today after all, and that it was pushed to Wednesday—only to immediately change it to Friday before ending the call. This is now the second time I have rearranged my work schedule to accommodate a delivery that never occurred, and I am now being asked to take time off a third time. This level of incompetence and disregard for the customer’s time is completely unacceptable. One important detail I should add: during my six calls to the store on Black Friday, only one was answered. Yet when I arrived in person, multiple employees were standing around looking at their phones, clearly available—but not answering calls. I strongly advise others to avoid this store. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic professionalism is astounding.

I visited this location a few weeks prior to purchasing so my mom could test out and find a living piece to fit her new apartment and Janelle was so sweet, friendly and provided overall great customer service! In most cases, I handle everything for my mom, but I greatly appreciated the respect Janelle gave to my mom by asking her questions and providing her the packet for the warranty information we purchased to protect her investment for 5 years. This store's business practices are absolutely abhorrent. They will lie about delivery dates both to your face and over the phone. They will promise delivery at certain times and then not show up or have the decency to call you to tell you it's not coming. We paid in cash $5,000 for a sectional and 2 chairs, and were told they'd be delivered in a week. When they didn't come, they said next week. When they didn't come they said a month. When you buy a piece of furniture, they will gloss over this tiny initial block that says all refunds will be issued as store credit. So Ashley has $5000 in cash from me, and has completely failed to deliver on their promise. Commented under this review will probably be the phone number to Ashley Customer Care, who I have already spoken to twice, and are also unable to help. The problem here isn't waiting 6 weeks for a couch to be delivered. The problem is lying about delivery times. I would have never bought it in the first place if I had known it would take 6 weeks. And good luck reaching the store in the first place. I called 22 times yesterday, and not a single person picked up the phone. Everyone working here should be ashamed of how they treat customers who give them so much money, and are upset when services that have already been paid for are not rendered. Ridiculous. I will gladly update this review if at any point they do anything to try to remedy this situation, but as of right now, nothing has been done.

Purchased powered reclining living room set on 8/9/25. Turned faulty battery in on 8/25/25. Still have not received new battery 3 weeks later. Continue to get the run around. Was told 3 month between charges by Stella (Store Manager) and having to charge every 2 weeks on other 2 batteries. They are stating no refunds, but we turned in a battery that we paid for thinking we would get a replacement and have not. We are currently out $150 on the faulty battery.

This has been an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end as we ordered furniture for our new residence from Ashley. While we were pleased with the selection, quality for the price and convenience, what really made the experience special was the outstanding service provided by Kendall. She is outstanding! Patient, knowledgeable and empathetic, her enthusiasm for the product and the brand makes her a rare asset for the store. She is truly an ambassador for Ashley Furniture and the main reason we not only will return to shop here, but recommend her and the store to all of our friends and colleagues. Update 9/17/25 - When we purchased our new furniture — sleeper sofa, full bed frame, full mattress & foundation we were so excited. In the last three days we have learned that: 1) the delivery date had changed without anyone communicating with us. We found out by calling to confirm delivery. 2) the color of sleeper sofa was no longer available & Ashley Furniture chose a different color sofa for us without asking or talking to us about it and even with the different color the sofa still wouldn’t be delivered until a week after originally scheduled; and 3) when the bed frame was delivered today the slats to support the foundation were the wrong size, and that it will take 7-10 days to deliver the correct size slats. So much for “white glove delivery.” When I first posted this review at the time of purchase, I was excited to share that we would certainly come back to shop at Ashley again. Sadly, this is no longer the case. The lack of care & concern on the part of the store is ridiculous and frankly disappointing. Update 9/14/25 - We just learned (by us calling the store) that our order has been delayed. While we understand that delays happen and we are disappointed that we won’t be receiving our order on the previously scheduled date, we are more disappointed that this information was not communicated to us by the store or the customer care delivery center.

We were sold a broken bed frame that they refuse to stand behind after days of giving us the run around. Very poor customer service!

The furniture is nice, but whatever you do, do NOT get the warranty! It’s taken us several months and we still have not gotten a replacement. Stella, the insurance, etc gives us the runaround non stop. We paid extra for their “amazing” warranty and it’s nothing but crap. These people are worse then used car salesman.

Purchased a bed there. Called about a missing piece and sales person never called back. Guess he made his commission and that's all that mattered to him. Love my mattress though.

If i could give this store Williamsburg Va and this company a negative i would. They are straoght crooks. I ordered furniture paid a cash down patment but canceld the order because they took longer than expected to deliver. I went to the stire 3 rimes and noine could help me. They finally told me that they issued a store credit. Noone contacted me as i was told. Now they want to issue me a store credit. Thats bull.... give me back my money. Just like i gave it to them...in good faith.

Stella and Amanda did great from start to finish. My wife and I moved into our new home and had to purchase and coordinate buying all new furniture. They were informative about the buying process, answered all of our questions about the different styles and choices, and even showed us some great 0% financing options. The best part is they kept their word and delivered everything before we moved in. They even set everything up for us! We will be back for sure.

We purchased furniture the beginning of May and have not received our items yet. There was no communication as to why or any follow up. We called left message with our salesperson, no response. We texted, and got a response only that there were computer problems and furniture was not ordered. Still no furniture and spent over $5000. Customer service is terrible. No professionalism. No communication. And they all hang out in front of the store smoking. Maybe less time smoking and more time calling your customers back. We are going to cancel the whole order if nothing comes in this week. This place is a ripoff. Take your money elsewhere. Where it's appreciated.

Steven Deserves a Raise (and Maybe a Throne) Let me tell you about Steven at Ashley Furniture—the man, the myth, the master of sectionals and sass. I walked in looking for a dining table. I walked out with a dining table, chairs, a console table, an end table, and a newfound belief in customer service. Steven greeted me like we were old friends, and within 10 minutes, I was calling him “Couch Whisperer.” He knew the inventory like it was his Netflix watchlist—fast, detailed, and mildly addictive. He didn’t try to upsell me something outrageous. Instead, he listened, nodded like a wise furniture monk, and then led me directly to the dining set like some kind of stylish home décor sherpa. Bonus points for making me laugh during the entire shopping process. I wasn’t sure if I was buying furniture or attending a stand-up set. In conclusion, if you go to Ashley Furniture and don’t ask for Steven, are you even really shopping for furniture? Get yourself a couch and a good laugh. Ask for Steven. The man’s a legend.

Update # 2 - another reason why Ashley is shady. they called me to say they are going to exchange the whole table and it was setup to be done today. The Ashley delivery guys showed up and gave my wife grief because they were supposed to replace the whole table. They said they are only going to install the one part. At that point, my wife called me and when she did that, they told her they will replace the whole table as directed by their corporate office but while giving my wife attitude. However, these two Ashley employees didn’t replace the whole table. They took off the old top and put a new top on and played it like they had replaced the whole table. The funny thing is we have a Ring camera in our house to watch our dogs and the camera recorded them only replacing the table top. Gotcha. I called Ashley and sent them the video of what their employees did. Let’s see if they do the right thing or the wrong because I am tempted to post the video of their employees doing shady work. Shame on the employees and Ashley. Do NOT buy from Ashley’s furniture. I regret it 100% and would not recommend them to anyone. We bought a compete dining room set and paid over $200 for it to be delivered and put together. They came to my home and put the furniture together. When I went to use the dining table for the first time a week later, it felt very unstable. So I looked at the base of the table and noticed some holes but nothing connected to those holes. I decided to drive up to the store where we purchased the table to look at the showroom sample and noticed that it had a piece of wood to brace the legs that my table didn’t have which were connected to the holes I spoke of earlier. I called their support number to speak to them about it. The support number ordered the wood part but failed to order the hardware to connect it to my table. I also asked for a way to contact their customer service department to file a complaint and they gave me an email. I used that email twice and they have yet to respond to either email. After about a week, I received another wood part but no hardware. I called the support line again about the missing hardware. They stated to me that the hardware would come in 2-3 weeks. So by then, it would have been like 5-6 weeks since I filed my first complaint. I asked for a customer service line and they stated to me that there is no phone number and I would have to use that email. At this point, I would expect my delivery fees to be refunded for this hot mess at Ashley’s. The store is no help either. They sell furniture but they don’t deal with customer service complaints. Unbelievable. Stay away from Ashley Furniture. UPDATE 1: Someone from Ashley replied to my feedback and asked me to call the number that I called originally only to be told to use that email that was given to me originally that no one replies to. What a joke of a company. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY’s if you expect good customer service.

One star review because I can’t leave one any lower. Don’t waist your time or your money, the customer service is terrible. I ordered a couch from the Williamsburg store and set up a delivery date 2 weeks out. The day came and went without receiving anything. I called for an explanation and they told me my order wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be for another 3 weeks. I attempted to cancel said order and get a refund and was told a manager would reach out to me, manager called a day later with no idea what was going on. After explaining what I wanted to do I was told she would look into canceling it and call me back. As of the present moment typing this review I still haven’t received a call and it’s been over a week. As I’m typing this I’m trying to get through to customer service to check the status and they will not answer the phone. The message says to stay on the line and wait for the next available agent, after 5 minutes the message automatically terminates and the call hangs up. If you’re in the Williamsburg/Hampton roads area please look for furniture somewhere else because as far as I can tell this store doesn’t give you any furniture, they just take your money and give you nothing in return

Came in with my mother to get a sofa and chairs we ended up each getting a tempur mattress and base as well. Service was excellent, thank you Twyanna and the Williamsburg store for making this easy and fun!!!

Went looking for a mattress . I have never been to a place where the sales people put so much pressure to buy. The only items they would show was the most expensive. On line they show a mattress in a box. We was not offered that option. I will never go back .

We had an extremely bad experience that’s still unresolved with this store. My husband and I purchased a bed frame, and within 4 days of having the bed it broke. The beams underneath and the screws were bent and bowed. We were told by the guy who sold us the frame that we had 30 days to return for any reason. We contacted the store the very next morning and was basically told we have to deal with it. We got the run around and they were unsympathetic. I went up to the store after work to explain that the bed basically caved in and it hadn’t even been a week yet. The district manager Bryan who was at the store at the time basically said we got a bad bed and to put in a claim with the warranty company and they’ll just have to keep coming out to repair it. My husband and I explained that we would pay (significantly more) for a better quality bed, but was told we have to just deal with this broken bed. We have been given the runaround talked to numerous people and still have a broken bed. We put a claim to try and have it repaired but have to wait for parts. Meanwhile we have an extremely fragile broken bed and needless to say can’t get a good nights rest on. The customer service with this store was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend buying anything from here in the event you have an issue.

Came in to look for a few items for my house, just needed to come in and get some ideas. The sales team was amazing and very personable. I spoke with Shannon the manager on duty and Charlie an amazing sales person. They both helped me get some ideas and were very knowledgeable in the products and services they offered.

I simply cannot believe that I walked around this store for 10-15 minutes and didn’t get so much as a hello from the 4 visible associates present. The lady in black, I’m assuming was a manager, another lady had her head down rocking as if she was in distress and the other two guys were busy on their cell phones. This was about 2:15 on a Friday 5/3 with me and another customer in the store. I’m pretty chill about a lot but I don’t patronize businesses who couldn’t care less about my presence. As I was leaving the guy who had relocated to the sitting stand up front said have a nice day and I simply threw up my hand. Unbelievable!! Customer service was nonexistent for “me” and I wonder why???

After shopping all day at different furniture stores for the “perfect sectional” .. We ended the day at Ashley furniture in Williamsburg. Shannon greeted us with professionalism, patience & knowledge. Thank you for making our final decision a smooth transaction! EDIT REVIEW TO ADD: We are extremely dissatisfied with Ashley furniture. We purchased our sectional couch April 29th and not one single person from Ashley Furniture has even tried to contact us regarding the ETA for delivery. (It is now May 28th) Every-time I call the Ashley store I keep getting the run around. Last week I was told it would arrive THIS WEEK (May 26th-May 31st) only to call today and find out it won’t be in until JUNE 21ST. Wish they were as attentive to their customers as they are getting a “positive Google review” upon purchase.

I went to the Ashley Williamsburg store on April 1st to purchase a bedroom set and was introduced to Rupesh. He proved to be an excellent sales person. He was patient and knowledgeable about the product he was selling and was friendly and professional in demeanor. Chip Vance was kind and patient with his customer service. He looked up a few more prices for me and told me about the in store promotions. He let me look freely but returned to check to see if I had any questions. I can't wait to get my new dining room set delivered! Unfortunately all of my items were not delivered on time and I did not get notification from customer care that there would be almost a month delay to May 6 for 2 of my chairs until the partial delivery showed up at my door. I then found out that "somone from another store went into the system and took my chairs that are missing from my purchase. My order was March 30. I attempted to get resolution but logistics was unable to help getting me a delivery time after 2:00 pm. They wanted me to take another day off to set aside another 3 hour window for morning delivery because of their mistake. Now I am just waiting in limbo for the remaining part of my purchase. Fast to make the sale and take my money , but not so fast to get me my stuff!

The associate misled us on the orientation of a couch prior to applying for financing, then we found out we couldn't get the couch the way we wanted. She also disappeared on us when we were ready to make the purchase, and we found her getting someone else qualified for financing. All I can think is that they want to make sure you're stuck buying from them, only to not offer what they say they have.

Very small box on contract, where they tell you it’s for delivery. READ the fine print! Chair delivered, within 9 days went back to store to return, as it wasn’t working. Was told no return or refund. I was directed to service department via phone, whereby was told they don’t have a return policy. Girl was not friendly at all. BEWARE!!!!

On Sunday when we were picking up our furniture we were told our additional peice would be delivered to the store on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday and someone would call us. Fast forward to Saturday when we hadn't recieved a call, I called the store. RED FLAG #2 The store stated that the shipping/recieveing department hadn't shipped the additional peice to them and I needed to give them a call. Say what? You want me to call your call center for you? RED FLAG #2 I called the call center. They stated "we are not sure why the local store said your additional peice would arrive today (Saturday) bc they don't even get orders on Saturday. RED FLAG #3 Called the store back. They stated they did their part but Shipping/Recieveing has not. After 10 or so calls. I came up with the idea to do a 3 way call between all parties. People kept disconnecting. Made like 5 or so more calls and was finally told by a manager at the store the additional peice would arrive on Thursday.

Jada was so welcoming and patient with us she helped me figure out which couches fit our family best. Shannon made sure we found our ottoman and helped us wrap up the process. They assured our couches would be delivered as soon as possible. Would highly recommend this store! Thanks again

We just relocated to Virginia and needed furniture. We popped in the Ashley We were greeted by Charlie he was an amazing salesman with low pressure. He completely hooked us up and he made it well worth the trip!

Chip Gaines should not be a mananger. He used m daughters disability against her. Then when asked if he had daughters what would he do if trhey were treated this way he said he would do everything to help them return the couch. I have stage for cancer 4 and was told i have months left. I am writing this because my daughter deserves for the trivett family to keep the word their general manager said. my daughter came up woth a solution yone. They have someone pick up the couch for donation and issue her a refund. This store should be ashaned of themselves. Of i could help my daughter o would. I

Chip and this entire store should be ashamed of taking advantage of my daughter who is a disabled veteran. Shame on this store. She has asked to speak to the owners multiple times. The customer service was awful to her.Everyone says they will get with their regional manager and call her back then never returns their calls. The owners should be ashamed.

I visited Ashley’s in Williamsburg, Va.with my best friend who recently moved here from Alabama. Florita was our sales associate and she was very helpful and thorough. She greeted us at the door and was very kind and professional. We were looking for a base for her mattress and she explained she was new and had minimal knowledge of that area. Florita immediately called her manager Aaron, who was fabulous! He was very helpful and not only helped us but gave some very good OJT to Florita. This whole experience was outstanding from start to finish! I highly recommend Ashley’s furniture in Williamsburg and ask for Florita. You will not be disappointed!

We worked with Chip and knew we were looking for a new couch. We really liked sectionals and he made sure we saw all the options and showed us a similar one to the few we liked and were deciding between. He was nice, easy to talk to and put no pressure on us. He was friendly with our children as they excitedly sat on every single couch in the store. He made sure we understood the labor day deals that already started as some of the signs were confusing. We have been talking about replacing our sofa for a while & just happen to be in the area (we live in Richmond). We stopped in, and Will immediately greeted us with the warmest smile. He was available for our questions if we required assistance. We ended up buying a Sofa / Loveseat combo & I will be honest....he is the only reason we bought the furniture today. His quiet, honest, and helpful demeanor, as he explained the process, was enough for us to purchase today. One piece of the furniture was backordered, and he was certain to let us know that.
