We had an extremely bad experience that’s still unresolved with this store. My husband and I purchased a bed frame, and within 4 days of having the bed it broke. The beams underneath and the screws were bent and bowed. We were told by the guy who sold us the frame that we had 30 days to return for any reason. We contacted the store the very next morning and was basically told we have to deal with it. We got the run around and they were unsympathetic. I went up to the store after work to explain that the bed basically caved in and it hadn’t even been a week yet. The district manager Bryan who was at the store at the time basically said we got a bad bed and to put in a claim with the warranty company and they’ll just have to keep coming out to repair it. My husband and I explained that we would pay (significantly more) for a better quality bed, but was told we have to just deal with this broken bed. We have been given the runaround talked to numerous people and still have a broken bed. We put a claim to try and have it repaired but have to wait for parts. Meanwhile we have an extremely fragile broken bed and needless to say can’t get a good nights rest on. The customer service with this store was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend buying anything from here in the event you have an issue.

I have had a great experience with Charlie, Shelly and Aaron but today that I went in to get more pieces and fix an issue Stella Maglie was over the shoulder of Shelly correcting her and giving opinions not asked for. It was so stressful I walked out and did not buy anything. Please send this lady back from wherever she came. Not buying anything while she is here.

I want to share my experience at Ashley Furniture located in Williamsburg. I arrived and was greeted by the general manager, Chip Vance. I explained my girlfriend and I were looking around for a new bed and wanted to lie on a few to find the best one for us. Chip walked back with us to the bed section and began showing us the different options available. I was impressed by Chip’s professionalism and his knowledge about each of the different models. Most importantly, he did not “push” for a sale and did not attempt to talk me into buying. He provided an information sheet with pricing and other options while we were there. I told Chip I would be in contact with him but wanted to think about my options before making a decision as the beds we were looking at were expensive. The next day, I contacted Chip and asked if we could meet again to discuss sale and purchase options. Just like the day before, he was polite, informative, and helpful. I bought a new bed today which included the sale of a mattress protector and two pillows and I can’t think of a better person to buy from. The experience was second to none and I would recommend anyone to Chip Vance for any of their furniture or mattress needs. Thank you, Chip! -Alex and Bri

Came in to look for a few items for my house, just needed to come in and get some ideas. The sales team was amazing and very personable. I spoke with Shannon the manager on duty and Charlie an amazing sales person. They both helped me get some ideas and were very knowledgeable in the products and services they offered.

I simply cannot believe that I walked around this store for 10-15 minutes and didn’t get so much as a hello from the 4 visible associates present. The lady in black, I’m assuming was a manager, another lady had her head down rocking as if she was in distress and the other two guys were busy on their cell phones. This was about 2:15 on a Friday 5/3 with me and another customer in the store. I’m pretty chill about a lot but I don’t patronize businesses who couldn’t care less about my presence. As I was leaving the guy who had relocated to the sitting stand up front said have a nice day and I simply threw up my hand. Unbelievable!! Customer service was nonexistent for “me” and I wonder why???

After shopping all day at different furniture stores for the “perfect sectional” .. We ended the day at Ashley furniture in Williamsburg. Shannon greeted us with professionalism, patience & knowledge. Thank you for making our final decision a smooth transaction! EDIT REVIEW TO ADD: We are extremely dissatisfied with Ashley furniture. We purchased our sectional couch April 29th and not one single person from Ashley Furniture has even tried to contact us regarding the ETA for delivery. (It is now May 28th) Every-time I call the Ashley store I keep getting the run around. Last week I was told it would arrive THIS WEEK (May 26th-May 31st) only to call today and find out it won’t be in until JUNE 21ST. Wish they were as attentive to their customers as they are getting a “positive Google review” upon purchase.

I went to the Ashley Williamsburg store on April 1st to purchase a bedroom set and was introduced to Rupesh. He proved to be an excellent sales person. Chip Vance was kind and patient with his customer service. He looked up a few more prices for me and told me about the in store promotions. He let me look freely but returned to check to see if I had any questions. I can't wait to get my new dining room set delivered! Unfortunately all of my items were not delivered on time and I did not get notification from customer care that there would be almost a month delay to May 6 for 2 of my chairs until the partial delivery showed up at my door. I then found out that "somone from another store went into the system and took my chairs that are missing from my purchase. My order was March 30. I attempted to get resolution but logistics was unable to help getting me a delivery time after 2:00 pm. They wanted me to take another day off to set aside another 3 hour window for morning delivery because of their mistake. Now I am just waiting in limbo for the remaining part of my purchase. Fast to make the sale and take my money , but not so fast to get me my stuff!

Needed a new couch and have been to several stores. Miss Ruthanne at Ashley was by far the kindest, most patient, and helpful of any employee from 4 different stores. The experience shopping here was very relaxed, not pushy, calm, and positive. Normally I would shop online, but it was so comfortable today I'll definitely be back to shop in person with her again. No refunds for sale/clearance/delivery fee but they let us know and we aggreed.

The associate misled us on the orientation of a couch prior to applying for financing, then we found out we couldn't get the couch the way we wanted. She also disappeared on us when we were ready to make the purchase, and we found her getting someone else qualified for financing. All I can think is that they want to make sure you're stuck buying from them, only to not offer what they say they have.

We paid over $1.3K and then were told they couldn't deliver until after Christmas. I had to immediately ask for a refund as this no longer meets our customer needs. Buyer Beware! All sales are final at this store. Purchased recliner due to a disability, never at any time did the salesman and/or store point out the store had a no return, refund policy. Very small box on contract, where they tell you it’s for delivery. READ the fine print! Chair delivered, within 9 days went back to store to return, as it wasn’t working. Was told no return or refund. I was directed to service department via phone, whereby was told they don’t have a return policy. Girl was not friendly at all. BEWARE!!!!

On Sunday when we were picking up our furniture we were told our additional peice would be delivered to the store on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday and someone would call us. Fast forward to Saturday when we hadn't recieved a call, I called the store. RED FLAG #2 The store stated that the shipping/recieveing department hadn't shipped the additional peice to them and I needed to give them a call. Say what? You want me to call your call center for you? RED FLAG #2 I called the call center. They stated "we are not sure why the local store said your additional peice would arrive today (Saturday) bc they don't even get orders on Saturday. RED FLAG #3 Called the store back. They stated they did their part but Shipping/Recieveing has not. After 10 or so calls. I came up with the idea to do a 3 way call between all parties. People kept disconnecting. Made like 5 or so more calls and was finally told by a manager at the store the additional peice would arrive on Thursday.

Jada was so welcoming and patient with us she helped me figure out which couches fit our family best. Shannon made sure we found our ottoman and helped us wrap up the process. They assured our couches would be delivered as soon as possible. Would highly recommend this store! Thanks again

Then when asked if he had daughters what would he do if trhey were treated this way he said he would do everything to help them return the couch. I am writing this because my daughter deserves for the trivett family to keep the word their general manager said. my daughter came up woth a solution yone. I visited Ashley’s in Williamsburg, Va.with my best friend who recently moved here from Alabama. Florita was our sales associate and she was very helpful and thorough. She greeted us at the door and was very kind and professional. We were looking for a base for her mattress and she explained she was new and had minimal knowledge of that area. Florita immediately called her manager Aaron, who was fabulous! He was very helpful and not only helped us but gave some very good OJT to Florita. We’ve occupied our house for less than a year. July will be one year. Bought a couple bed room sets (1 for our daughter and 1 for us). Living room and dining room set. Our bed literally broke and we’ve been working with the company since late 2022 to have it fixed. We waited months to have a technician visit to look at the damage. Then months to get the parts. Wrong parts sent. Then right parts sent. Wait months for another technician. Technician rightly refused to fixed the bed with the right parts given how long it’s been broken and who knows what else is compromised? So the company sends their delivery guys to come and exchange parts. But what they sent to exchange you guessed it - is damaged right out of the box. Like what do we have to do to get our money back so we can get something that’s reputable? I will never ever support this company with any business again.

Very unhappy with this store. We went in a few weeks ago looking for a dining room set. We saw one where I loved the table but was iffy about the chairs and the overall price. The sign said it was a 5 piece set, 4 chairs and the table. There was a bench with it that we loved but were told it was not included and would be an additional charge. Associate said she could look and find us a lower price when I voiced my hesitation. She quoted us a price lower than the sign so we decided to go with it. Got the table delivered today and realized she gave us a lower price because the table only came with 2 chairs instead of 4. Looking back at the invoice it said two chairs so I guess our bad for not verifying, but the purchase I thought I made, as indicated by the sign, was 4 chairs and a table plus the extra cost for the bench. I don't appreciate being manipulated and will make sure I never purchase from here ever again. Also would like to note there were bolts missing as well.

We moved to Williamsburg about a month ago and needed to furnish our entire home. Stella made a huge impression on us and has been our sales associate since our first visit. She has gone above and beyond to make sure that we were happy throughout the entire process and she has an eye for detail. I told her what look I was going for and she helped find the perfect bar stools for my kitchen island. She also helped us pick out a living room set recently that we can’t wait to come in. Pillows on the couch I ordered that were on display didn't come with the couch. They charge extra for the pillows. I have never heard of that. That was disappointing. They charge $20 to $50 for each pillow. However Will was very good at showing us different couches we were interested in. He didn't pressure us.

We are long time Ashley customers and this store in Williamsburg was a very relaxing purchase. Chip helped us tremendously in picking out and purchasing our furniture. We came back over several days and he remained very patient and professional to the end. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and call for Chip... Our experience was A+.

We had an easy experience. Walked around at our own pace and when we were ready Stella checked up on us and we ended up getting a new living room set. She was very helpful throughout the transaction and we appreciated her greeting us and then letting us walk around on our own without the typical salesperson experience.

This review is concerning my Bladen loveseat order. I live in Richmond and previously had a horrible experience with an online order. This time, I decided to call and place an order by phone. I spoke with a pleasant lady that said the store was about 30 minutes from opening but would have some one call me back. Madison contacted me shortly after. My experience with Madison reaffirmed how important working with actual sales people are (online/automation stink). Madison was precise, highly efficient and a pleasure to work with. Amazing sales person and I received my couch 5 days after I ordered it. The online Ashley shop states 3 to 6 weeks. If you're shopping for furniture, save yourself potential stress and headaches and go into or call into the store. Ask for Madison (Williamsburg location), she is phenomenal.

I just spent a little of my time with Stella this morning buying a new bed room suite. My exact words to her when walking into Ashley were “I’m here, but I have no idea what I’m looking for or where to start”. She took that and went. Instantly got me approved and took me right where I needed to go, found exactly what I wanted without myself even knowing what that was. It has been a very quick and painless experience. Even making it enjoyable for my 9 year old daughter tagging along. Thank you Stella and Ashley furniture for helping me in my new furniture journey, working with you all has been a pleasure.

I bought a sturdy but inexpensive side table that was delivered to the store for pickup. When I brought it home to assemble it the holes to attach the legs were missing on half the table. It was also missing a usb outlet that would go in the table.I called the customer care thinking it would be a simple request to get a new part or a whole new item. The process so far has been that I must wait an undisclosed amount of time for a third party to contact me to come to my home to drill the holes in a 3 hour window . This took over 2 weeks to even get to that part as of today I still have not heard from the third party. I also have no eta yet on if or when I will receive the missing usb. The customer care says they can not return the item because I have it. The store says they can not help me because they do not deal with customer care issues. Update: still no resolution and just spoke to someone with customer care and they never even notated that I needed the usb port. Also their is no one to assist if the customer is unhappy with the resolution process but they can make a note to coach their own team. So completely out of touch with the customer experience, that they have lost this life long customer
